Chapter 79: It continues on…
As Aichi successfully released the arrow, he immediately recognized the owners of the presence "Oh no! It was on impulse I'm so sorry!" he immediately apologized, as he knows this presence well.
Michiko who was about to fire at the same place where Aichi aimed at she immediately stopped as she noticed from Aichi's words that the person he aimed it to was actually someone he knows.
The bushes rustled loudly as "That was dangerous Aichi-sama." Izuminokami sprung out from the bushes holding the said arrow. As he showed up buzzing of voices rung from the whole room at seeing him, they knew that guy but they did not know anything about Aichi since they did not pay any mind to him but is rumored to be the one who is always with different males who calls him as if he was highly regard as if they were his bodyguard, though it was literally like that but they did not know that.
"Oh it's him!" "Wait he was that rumored kid?" "I wonder if he was the only one that came"
But then it seems that something has caught this man's attention as he looked down from his side as if talking to someone "What? … I shouldn't have come out? … Why?" he seems confused but after what looks like their conversation ended Izuminokami feeling a little lost he looked at the arrow he was holding in his hands then glanced through at the place where the bulls eye are, at the members of the club and then finally at Aichi.
With a somewhat troubled looked he looked at Aichi and asked "Am I going to get in trouble?"
At a loss for words also "Don't worry about it… since technically it's my fault to begin with I should have tried to read your presence more carefully." Aichi lowers his head to apologize.
"At the least you have gotten better at being vigilant! But you still got a lot more mays to go!" Izuminokami complemented and grinned to him as he played with the arrow.
Seeing the arrow on Izuminokami's hands Aichi has forgotten what is happening earlier before accidentally hitting Izuminokami, when he remembered he started hear mumblings from the members behind and thought that he should finish this now so he could leave.
"Oh, let me finish this and then let's head back." At that he reaches out his hands as if asking for the arrow from Izuminokami.
Understanding this Izuminokami walked forward as he reaches out his hand to give him the arrow back.
Aichi noticed the looks from the members of club, but what caught his attention was the looks from Kaede and Michiko from Izuminokami, since he can't read what they were thinking right now but it seems that they are interested in him.
"Alright!" Aichi mumbled "to build the correct momentum and the right force." Aichi tries to calculate to what Mina had taught him to be able to do that trick since he can only do it once and this will be the first time he can do it twice. With his graceful movements and confidence with Izuminokami as his witness he once again successfully hits and tore apart the arrow in half. Deep inside he was squealing his heart out from the happiness and right about now he can't help but smile to Izuminokami as he saw his achievement.
Izuminokami was surprised, but he immediately knew what it was for so to respond to his master's feelings "Congratulations!"
But then Izuminokami burst it immediately "Though Aichi-sama… was it fine though?" he meekly looked at the broken arrows.
"What do you mean?" Aichi followed where Izuminokami was looking at.
"Aren't you somehow going to pay for those?" Izuminokami has said something that Aichi did not thought of that made Aichi jumped at hearing his words, something that did not came to mind when he was trying out his skills.
Panicking at the realization "I… I'll pay for it!" Aichi said as he bowed his head.
"It is fine you showed us your skill although there will be a lot explaining to do, but you really have the skills for archery, truth be told I have understood the remark your friend said about the fact that you can really do this blindfolded, though I somehow want to see if you can really do it." Kaede smiled at Aichi that made him notice that it's the same smile that Aichi saw earlier, the smile that puzzled him.
"Welp this showdown showed us that we still have a lot to learn as an archer, that there are bigger fishes out there in hiding and not to belittle other people just because we do not know their background on what they were wagering or as a person" Kaede glanced at Michiko where she looked away as if saying she will have none of those scolding right now.
"Though I am surprised we have other visitors here we didn't even notice their presence, and it seems there were others there too judging by the fact that he was speaking to someone at the bushes before." Kaede glanced at the area where Izuminokami came from knowing and understanding now that there were other people there too.
At that Horikawa and Sayo sprung out from the bushes "Sorry Aichi-sama, we knew you were going to do this wager so we just had to see and then if possible tell the others too!" Horikawa said as they started walking towards where Aichi and Izuminokami are.
"So you snuck inside the school!" Morikawa was in his mode again "You really are ninjas!"
"We are not." Horikawa opposed calmly sighing after while he rummages something from his pockets, it was a wallet. With it in his hands he went up the room without forgetting to take off his shoes.
Opening up the wallet that he is holding he rummages inside while walking towards Kaede and Michiko "Since Aichi-sama said that he would be paying for what he broke, here is the compensation for those equipment, since we do not know how much it will cost, I don't know if this should be just about the right amount?" Horikawa was with his usual smile as he was holding a fairly large amount of money in his hands.
All the club member's thoughts "Young Master?!" which made Aichi pale from what Horikawa did.
"Technically it was a tie but ultimately we know that Aichi-kun won it fairly so I feel bad about taking from the winner since we did lose in a sense." Kaede smiled raising one of his hands as to say thanks but we won't take it.
In the end Horikawa just glanced at Aichi waiting for his response "Please at the least take what you needed since it was my friend who started it, it's an apology for that trouble."
"Hey!" Morikawa retaliated.
At that moment Kaede knew that he too was the stubborn type "Even though how hard I try to decline you will just keep insisting right?" Kaede sighed raising a brow while smiling as his attention went back to Horikawa.
"Yes, that's how Aichi-sama is!" Horikawa smiles as he again raised the funds "Please take what you needed." At that Kaede just took what he needed and thanks them.
At that Kaede had a realization has was too occupied at something else "Alright everyone everything here has ended you can go now!" Kaede said as the other members dispatched either grunting or mumbling and now the only ones that were left were Aichi, Morikawa, Izaki, Kaede, Michiko, Izuminokami, Horikawa and Sayo.
Kaede sighs at that the ones that were left were surprised as Kaede looked like he was going out at any moment "I think I should have did that earlier."
"That's so not you…" Michiko mumbled to which Kaede closes his eyes for a moment
Then Kaede walked towards Aichi "If you have time, you can come here if you feel like it or if you are busy, knowing your skills you have a lot more that you can teach us!" he moves his hands forwards for a hand shake "Since she is too stubborn to do it, then I will, good game today!" to which Aichi accepts the handshake.
"Oh no! I still have a lot to learn from the person who is training me, but if I am welcome then I will surely want to come and visit here."
Noticing that today's events has come to an end "We can go home now right?" Izuminokami cuts in.
"Yes." Kaede and Aichi both said in unison.
"Alright we'll meet up with you at the usual location!" with that the three left the area without forgetting to say their goodbye.
When the five left the area, only Kaede and Michiko was left at the club room "That, I can tell what it was." Michiko broke the silence.
"Yes, but I don't think there is nothing we can do." Kaede answered as Michiko frowned at his comment.
~At the garden~
"Aichi-kun~!" Mina called out across the hallway.
"Y-yes!" Aichi jumped in surprise at the sudden call, thinking he might be scolded he closed his eyes and prepared himself from being scolded by her but instead of Mina's voice he would hear for scolding he felt a warm embrace.
"Congratulations on finally perfecting that move! It will really be useful in battle since it is important to also hit the same damaged place that is already pierced, now we just need to practice again and perfect it and then try it in a moving target!" It was clearly seen on her face how proud and happy she so Aichi wasn't able to help but tell her all that happened at that time though surely she might have heard it from the three but maybe it would be best if it came from him.
But then, when the story telling ended "But you clearly need to ask Morikawa to report here, right~?!" although her voice was cheery, Aichi could tell that there was something different and ominous behind that voice even the toudans in the area felt her anger, someone is going to be punished they thought, in that instant Aichi also knew and understood.
"To be punished… right?" Aichi whispered to which Mina only nodded to not still spoil the mood since she is still happy about Aichi's achievements "Are Izuminokami, Horikawa and Sayo will be punished to?" Aichi asked remembering that they have showed themselves to other people from the club.
"Who knows…" Mina left it as it is as Aichi could only sigh at her words, noticing the worried expression from Aichi, Mina spoke again "Beside I think it was fine, Horikawa handled it well as expected, since he said…"
"Sorry Aichi-sama, we knew you were going to do this wager so we just had to see and then if possible tell the others too!"
"… at that time, seems like they only snuck inside the school after class hours just to see your showdown with that member from the Archery club so it wouldn't seem like they were initially inside, as expected of Horikawa." Mina ended.
"He sure is reliable huh…" Aichi chuckled as the night went on.
~At the usual meeting place~
Upon meeting up the three while walking back towards the citadel "So how was it, the basketball?" Aichi hesitated, but he thought it might be best to ask earlier.
But the question from Aichi threw of the three as they froze for a moment but it was Horikawa that recovered earlier and was able to answer his question "It was fun to be honest, trying new things and all, but we made sure that no one notice, but it seems if you have word of it that means we failed."
"It is fine it is not like I am stopping you from doing it, just please be careful to not let anyone see you." But then Aichi remembered what happened earlier "Though it was my fault, what happened today at the club, since you showed yourself which is a violation, I am guessing this will be a rumor spread tomorrow." He sighs deeply upon thinking of what could be the possible rumor that will circulate, then again he is also used to it too so bring it.
"Aichi-sama…" Sayo called out with a very soft and low voice.
"What is it Sayo?" He then pats Sayo's head, understanding why he was called.
"Today, at your school, that activity called basketball… it was fun." Sayo lowers his head after.
"That's great! Next time you can try other stuff there too." He then proceeded in holding his hands that was tightly holding his uniform.
~The next day~
"This group…" Yagen sighs as the four mentioned started to walk outside of the citadel.
Reason is "Midare and Yasusada…" Shokudaikiri raises his brow staring at the back of the four.
"Surely Aichi-sama would be in a surprise." Tsurumaru grinned.
"I hope not…" Shokudaikiri and Yagen both sighed at his remark as Tsurumaru chuckled at the two's response.
~At School~
"I need to pee!" Yasusada as he continuously pokes at Kiyomitsu.
"I know I get it! Can't you wait?" Kiyomitsu held the hand that kept on poking his shoulder and lets go of it.
"Me too if possible!" Midare raises a hand as if it looks a lie that he needs to go as he doesn't look like he needs to.
"Kiyomitsu!" this time Yasusada keeps on Yanking Kiyomitsu's sleeves.
"I know I know! But we need to be careful, and I don't want any trouble." Kiyomitsu grips on Yasusada's arms that was still yanking his sleeves, Yasusada was about to throw a fit but then "Do you want to trouble Aichi-sama?" He asks but did not look at him.
"I don't…" He stopped from pestering Kiyomitsu as he holds in the thoughts, words and actions he was doing before, looks like he really needs to go but thinking about it, if he keeps that up people will notice and will cause trouble for Aichi .
"Alright there seems to be no more students coming and going anymore, let's make haste!" Kiyomitsu signaled as they hastily went to the restrooms.
"It's dark…" Midare said looking at the restroom entrance as there were no lights.
"I wonder where the switch is…" Kiyomitsu slowly entered the room looking for the switch but then something surprising happened "Woah! The lights suddenly turned on!"
"Woah! How did that happen!?" Midare and Yasusada said in unison amazed at the sensory lights in the restroom. Trying to find the witchcraft from this room they thought of looking around.
"Well finish what you have to finish and I'll do the same just to be sure before people comes in." But Kiyomitsu halted them from doing so.
After they have finished their purpose in going in they went through the exit and quickly huddled to what to next but in just minutes they noticed that the lights went out on its own when there was no activity from the restroom.
"Woah!" Yasusada and Midare restrained their surprised and amused shout. At that moment the two seems to be in sync with their thoughts, as soon as they finished their wow's the two locked eyes as they chuckled as if they have a sinister plan in mind.
"Oh no…" was Kiyomitsu's final words before chaos ensues.
~After School –at the restrooms-~
"Hey hey hey!" one of the guys in the restroom calls out to the other one who was with him.
"What?" the other one answered.
"Did you know that this restroom is haunted?"
"Oh like toilet bound Hanako-san?"
"Yes yes like that~! But this restroom seems to have two!"
At that moment Aichi who was washing his hands jumped at the sudden topic.
"Where did you get that story from?"
"Someone who was inside the cubicles was doing their business, and then he heard laughter, of course he was caught off guard so he listened if someone was just pranking him, but then there was a tiny laughter as if from a girl and another from a boy! That disappears from thin air, he wanted to confirm so he staked out to check for himself."
"What he literally just skipped for a ghost?"
"Well… it was to confirm if they were being pranked or something too, since… you know… hehe…" the other guy shrugged.
"And then some people would occasionally pass by and will see the lights that have been turned off would be turned on again."
"It's like they were playing!"
"Well, I guess that means we shouldn't go here to relieve ourselves anymore."
"Ahahaha! You scaredy cat." With that the group who were talking about the ghosts in the restroom left, leaving Aichi to hastily leave the premises also.
~At the usual meeting place~
"Ah! It's Aichi-sama!" Midare said waving his hands to call for Aichi's attention.
But upon meeting up with them Kiyomitsu noticed something different to Aichi it was as if he was preoccupied with something "Did something happened?" he asks waiting for a response.
"No, nothing…" Aichi answered as the four of them started to leave.
He knew there was something in his mind but he wasn't depressed meaning there is something other than that, but just to be sure "You were not gossiped by the other students because of the incident yesterday right?" Kiyomitsu asked in a lower tone to make sure that he wouldn't make Aichi a little thrown off.
At that moment Aichi had a realization "Come to think of it… Surprisingly no one was talking about it." The thing that preoccupied Aichi's mind earlier was taken away by another thing that he thought was strange, he thought that it was a good thing but something feels off. Surprised even Kiyomitsu since it was something else.
"Well, maybe it circulated but not that much of a topic?" Yasusada thought.
"No, that is impossible." Kiyomitsu said to what Yasusada thought "From what had happened yesterday, it is impossible to be thinking that with that incident yesterday it should have been all over the whole school, but there was none."
"Come to think of it, even when we were playing with the lights on the restrooms we never heard anyone gossiping about it." Midare said.
"G-gossiping…" Aichi was surprised as he heard the word from Midare but then he should be much more surprised at what Midare formerly said "Wait… played with the lights?" At that Aichi instantly had a thought, it is a bad idea to really tell them about that.
Midare instantly covers his mouth realizing his mistake and what they did and then "Aichi-sama I'm sorry!" Midare clung to his arms as did Yasusada that surprised Aichi who also apologized, after that Aichi looked at Kiyomitsu.
Looking away from eye contact Kiyomitsu said "I couldn't stop them…"
~The next day~
"This team is surprisingly…" Tsurumaru said.
"The normal team out there." Kiyomitsu finished
"If you were to be there instead of Ookurikara it would have been the perfect team…" added by Nikkari.
"I can't argue with that." Horikawa chimed smiling delightfully as the others could feel the little boasting from that smile and words as they all admit that they were a little jealous as those three were the most dependable.
Somehow deep inside Aichi he was actually complacent about the fact that the ones that will accompany him are both Yagen and Shokudaikiri, though upon leaving he could agree to the voices behind about the fact that if Horikawa was with them this would have been the secured and trustworthy team, but Shokudaikiri can't leave Ookurikara alone for now and Horikawa feels much at ease if he is with Izuminokami, so there is not much he can do for now, beside finally he won't be hearing any rumors for now because with them he sure knows they won't do anything that would get them out of place.
~At School -Infirmary-~
"Are you sure that it's fine for us to be here?" Shokudaikiri said while landing inside the infirmary premises.
"It's fine as long as we hide our presence and hide away fast if people come we should be fine." Yagen said as he immediately went to the medicine cabinet of the infirmary upon seeing where it was "I've always wanted to check what is inside the infirmary of a school, what medicine they could have, what their facility looks like, how they manage it and other stuff…" Shokudaikiri understood from his eyes that Yagen was excited from all of these as he continues on from telling him the reasons why he wanted to come here.
"To be honest, I wanted to see what the cafeteria looked like too, would the meals they serve satisfy the needs and health values that Aichi-sama will be eating, would they serve delicious desert, but alas, that place looks like it won't be without any people aside from night time." Shokudaikiri sighed while cleaning up.
"To be honest I am the same with this infirmary aside from what it has to offer me, I am worried if this can at least give first aid to Aichi-sama, is this reliable, will they be able to ease his pain somehow if something happen to him at the school premise…" Yagen rummages through the cabinet looking at every content inside.
"I wonder if the other's thought about this hence they were also in some places that piqued their interest." When Shokudaikiri finished his sentence silence filed the room and their motions stopped for a moment.
"That's somehow impossible…" Yagen and Shokudaikiri both said in unison.
"But we might not know though." Shokudaikiri laughed it off as the two continued on to what they were doing first.
Ookurikara who was silently watching the two from an infirmary bed somehow wanted to ask Shokudaikiri why in the world he started cleaning all of the sudden, getting the sheets done, dusting off, placing the correct items to their correct place or order, well this is Shokudaikiri we are talking about so he thought he wouldn't bother to ask and it's probably not his business.
While letting them to their things inside the infirmary he decided to lay in one of the bed to the farthest waiting for time to pass and for them to finish up and do what they were ordered to, then again he couldn't careless as this isn't the battlefield and he could only just rest here.
A little while later "Sorry for the intrusion, a voice was heard." At that moment the door slowly opened.
"A!" Shokudaikiri and Yagen completely got immersed and got careless when someone entered the room and the only thing they could think of is to act natural, thankfully Shokudaikiri is a little farther on the other side of the room so he was able to hide himself, but it was a different case from Yagen, he was near the door because there was a table with medicine and other medical stuff on top, albeit he was already mixing up some medicines.
Yagen clears his throat since in this room, he has the most knowledge and surely dresses the part as the school nurse though his height says otherwise but at the least he could try "Is there something that you are having trouble with?" he asked normally.
"I am feeling a little drowsy, I don't know if I caught a cold but I sure do hope I did not." Yagen patiently listens and waits as the student describes what he was ailing from.
And upon finish up, Yagen smiled at the thought that this place could just be a perfect place to test out his newly made medicines "I understand, wait for a moment as I try to make something for you to help you with what you are ailing from."
"I hope this won't get us in trouble…" Shokudaikiri sighed listening from the conversation, for now he needs to act as if he is a student that is resting, though he doesn't look like a student so maybe a teacher.
Well the question is what would happen to the student/s that they encountered since Yagen thought of something that would or might get them in trouble.
Outro: ahhhh… inazuma is coming out, im probably gonna binge play again…, welp hope you like it another chapter done!
