Prologue
"Dimensionbot?" Yaya asked.
[Yeah! Mr. Boss found out about Dimensionbot about a week ago.] Probe explained.
Fang crossed his arms, "Do you have it?"
"Hey! Do you think I have time to look for it? People said that Dimensionbot was moving from one planet to another. And I don't have time for that." Adu Du tells him.
"He's always move around the galaxy?" Gopal was confused by his statement.
Koko Ci then said, "I believe Adu Du is right. According to our data, we detected the Dimensionbot on Planet Yujik'ku. Only to disappear a week later." He showed them the planets that Dimensionbot was on before he disappeared.
"How are we supposed to find this Power Sphere? He could be in another dimension!" Gopal asked.
Yaya then noticed a pattern, "Wait. Commander, are all of these planets inhabited?"
"No, Yaya. All of them are not."
Ying looked into the planets, "Is there something we've been missing?"
"There is, Ying. All of these planets are non-inhabit and almost like Earth." Fang then realized it.
"You're right. All planets don't have a desert, snow, or anything extreme."
"So, it's like a tropical island?" Gopal asked.
"Exactly."
"But which one? There could be hundreds out there!"
"It's easy. We only see the distance."
"The distant?] Adu Du and Probe asked.
Koko Ci puts in the distance all of the planets. Fang widened at this, "So, Dimensionbot can't go to a planet that's farther away."
"Now you got it. We need to find a planet that's somewhere close from the last location."
[I think there's one that's we can pinpoint.] Ochobot puts in the data of a nearby planet. [This is the closest planet he can teleport.]
"Planet Syom'klo. Seems he's there."
"Then we better get moving before he goes away. Ochobot, think you can teleport us?" Fang asked.
[I'm sorry. I don't have enough energy to do that. But I can teleport somewhere close to it.]
"That should be enough. Fang, Gopal, Yaya, Ying, Ochobot, Captain Kaizo, go find Dimensionbot."
"Right!" They salute him with a TAPOPS salute.
[Uh, what about us?] Probe asked.
"You're staying here," Fang said.
"But what about your spaceship? You do remember it's still on Planet Quabaq." Adu Du reminded them.
"Well, that's easy. We could use-" Fang interrupted Gopal.
"We don't have enough people on Captain's ship. We don't want to risk it."
They looked at Adu Du and Probe, "Don't do anything funny." Ying said.
"Like I could. It would be boring without Boboiboy around."
Koko Ci watches them leaving, "Good luck."
Part 1
In another world, Sun started coming up, shining the Academy City.
In Boboiboy's dormitory, he splits himself into seven elements. Earth was cooking breakfast. Wind, Fire, and Leaf dried up the laundry on the balcony.
Light and Lightning were watching the news on tv. And Water was sleeping on the couch.
"Earth, we've finished the laundry." Wind told him, "Good, now get ready. Breakfast is almost ready." They nodded and went to the table. Lightning heard his stomach rumble and went to get breakfast.
Water got up from sleeping and went for lunch. As Earth finished cooking breakfast, he noticed Light was still watching the news. "Light, get over here before it becomes cold." "Could you bring it over? This one is important."
"What's important about it? It's just news." "It's about that fire guy we beat yesterday." Fire nearly dropped the plate after hearing the response.
They went to the tv with their own curry and rice.
'I wonder what are they going to tell us.' Earth thought about this before eating the curry.
[Yesterday at noon, a Level 2 Esper named Okahara Ryouta was arrested by Judgement for property damage, assault, and giving a fellow Judgement officer a two-degree burn.]
The woman news reporter reported, [The criminal was arrested along with his group of thugs present at the scene.]
[Witnesses also stated an Esper that changed from Water Esper to Lightning Esper was present. However, that was being stated by Judgement.] As the news continues, they have eaten half of breakfast.
"So, they didn't report about us. Why?" Light asked, "I don't know. But we need to keep vigilant about it."
"Why not call Yomikawa-Sensei? She did give us her phone number and a phone." Leaf asked.
"But is it a good idea? That test we did-" But Lightning was interrupted by Wind.
"That wasn't her fault. It was that scientist who was jealous of our powers!" "Enough!" Earth shouted at his brothers, and they got his attention.
"None of you can't go around fighting like this. We need to stay together for this. We aren't in our world anymore." Earth reminded them they were in a different world, and fighting among themselves got them nowhere.
Suddenly they heard a doorbell, "Quickly, formed. We'll doing this later." They nodded and formed back into Boboiboy.
The doorbell ring again as Boboiboy gets closer, "Who is it?" He took a look at the peephole.
"It's Index!" He saw a nun with light blue hair looking at the door.
"Are you from a church?"
"I technically from a church. But I'm actually lived here."
"Index! Stop bothering the new neighbor!" Boboiboy widened at the voice.
'Wait, could it be-?!'
"But Touma! I'm hungry!"
"We can have breakfast outside. I've still got some money."
Boboiboy saw Touma on the other side of the door. He quickly opened it, "Touma?!"
He was taken by it too, "Boboiboy! You live here?!"
"I was supposed to be asking that."
Index sniffed something, "Do I smell curry?" She asked.
"Y-Yeah, I've still got some leftovers."
"Then, you wouldn't mind?" Index asked him politely, with puppy eyes.
"Why not?"
"Yay! Thank you!"
Index went into Boboiboy's dormitory with Touma and Boboiboy behind her. Boboiboy puts the curry with the rice on Index's plate, "Here." He puts it on the table, and she eats the curry.
After tasting it, she felt like she was in heaven. "Here, Touma. Have some of it."
"Thank you! Time to eat!" Touma quickly ate it.
"Shouldn't you be at the hospital? You were a patient there." He asked Touma after he stopped eating.
"There were two reasons. Index growling at me and the hospital bills piling up."
Boboiboy stared at Index, who finished her curry, "I was just hungry for Touma's cooking."
'Really? That sounds like an excuse.' Boboiboy said in his thought.
"Boboiboy, why are you here?" Touma asked.
"Yomikawa-sensei tell me this is where I'd be living for a while. She gave me a phone and her phone number if any urgent matters happened." Touma nodded.
"Hey, Boboiboy?" Index pulled his vest and saw Index holding her tummy, "I'm still hungry."
He nodded, "I got it. I'll make something." He went to the kitchen and made something.
Touma and Index could see steam and hear a pour in the kitchen. Boboiboy then came out with three chocolate drinks, "Here, Tok Aba's Special Hot Chocolate."
Index started to drool, and Touma saw this, "Index, you're drooling."
She quickly wiped it, "W-Uh, I'm not drooling. I'm thirsty!" Boboiboy chuckled at their antics as he put the cups in their position.
Index touched it and felt hot, "Careful, it's still hot." She nodded and tried to be careful. They drink hot chocolate and feel the taste.
"AMAAAZZZIIIINGGG!" Index's eyes brightened by this.
"This... This is the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted!" Touma begins to cry with joy at the taste. Boboiboy couldn't help but smile and said, "Hehe, Terbaik (Awesome)."
Part 2
After having breakfast, Touma and Boboiboy took a walk in the park. Boboiboy was wearing a coat with an orange scarf to combat the cold.
"Thanks for helping with Index's appetite. I thought I was about to lose all my money."
"No problem. I don't want someone who got out of the hospital immediately feeding his roommate."
As they continued to walk, Boboiboy noticed Touma looking at his left hand. "Something the matter?" He asked.
"It's nothing. Just thinking about something."
"Nothing too serious, right?"
"Not really." But in truth, Touma was thinking of the incident that happened on Christmas. He remembered being poisoned by Anna Sprengel, and St. Germain helped him fend off Anna. After the battle, St. Germain sacrificed itself to save Touma's life from harm. "Just thinking a friend."
"You're talking about Misaka?"
"Sort of." Suddenly, they heard a crash in the area, "What was that?"
"Aaaahhh!" After hearing a scream, they rushed to the scene.
Arrived at the scene and saw many thugs knocked to the ground, "What happened here?"
"W-W-Wait- Argh!" They looked at the sound and saw a girl Esper.
She almost looked like a middle school girl. Her hair is long messy brown. She has black eyes like someone couldn't sleep forever. She wore a black jacket with the draw of locks on her sleeves and a marked red x on the left side of her chest.
She wore black pants with black sneakers. Boboiboy saw her eyes feeling anger, like a beast.
"Hey..." He attempted to approach her but was attacked. Boboiboy dodged it, nearly getting scratched. She stared at him before turning towards Touma, "Touma, look out!"
She dashed towards him. His instincts kick in, and he dodges the incoming attack. She growled and attacked again. Her hands glow purple as she continues attacking him.
Touma moves his body back from scratch and ducks for another. He grabs her with his right hand and holds the other hand with his left.
She saw her Esper stopped working, "What did you do?"
"I would love to answer, but could you please stop attacking me?" She begins to struggle but gets grabbed by a vine.
Touma saw Boboiboy Leaf holding her with his vine, "Yeah, why did you attack us? Did we do something wrong?" He tilted his head. She kicks Touma in the crotch, hurting him.
And then headbutts him, knocking him to the ground. The girl breaks out of the vine and attacks Leaf, "Aahhhh!" Leaf pulled out Leaf Shurikens, "Stunning Leaf Shurikens!" He throws them at the attacker, and she tries chopping them.
But instead, her hands got stunned, "What?!" Leaf threw more at her, staggering her entire body.
"Few!"
Her body fell down and landed on top of Touma. "Aaaahhh!"
"What's wrong?! Did I hit her too much?!"
"N-No, but I-" Touma touched her chest by accident.
The shurikens on her legs fell loose, "Y-Y-Y-Y-You-! Get off me!"
"Argh!" She kicks him away.
"Touma!" Leaf quickly rushed, checking up on him.
"Are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine. I've been kicked before."
They saw the girl looking away, covering her chest. "You pervert! You touched it!"
"But you don't have breasts! How could you be embarrassed about it?!"
Krik - Krik - Krik - Krik
"Isn't that a part of the chicken?" Leaf's question managed to get them both of them spit-take.
"You-!" Touma grabbed Leaf's vest and started into his eyes, "Are you that dense?! Look at her! Does she look like a chicken?!" He then shook him hard, snapping out of his mind.
In the background, the girl was blushing so hard steam started to come out. "Ahhhh! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" As they stopped shaking, the girl left the scene without a trace.
"She got away."
"L-Let me tied up the thugs." Leaf's teary eyes managed to get caught Touma off guard (again).
"A-All right." He got up and pulled out his vines.
Part 3
Yomikawa and Anti-Skill come to the scene, bringing the thugs in. "I'm glad that none of you are hurt, but..." Yomikawa saw Touma beaten up and Boboiboy sitting on the bench, looking away.
"Did something happen between you two?"
"I, uh… can't explain it. I don't think he want to mention about it too."
Inside Boboiboy's mind, Leaf got scolded by Earth for asking a lewd question (even though he didn't understand it). Fire and Wind hide in frightened. Lightning pulled his cap down, ignoring the scene. Light was reading a book, while Water was sleeping away on the couch.
Yomikawa shrugged it off, "Anyway, could you describe the attacker for us?"
"Well, she's an Esper wearing a black jacket and pants. She has messy brown hair. Her eyes were black, like someone who couldn't sleep for entire life." Touma describe her appearance.
She wrote the description on her phone, "Right, we'll keep a lookout on her. Also, someone is picking you both up."
"Wait, us?" Boboiboy turned around after hearing the words.
"That's me."
They saw Kuroko land beside Yomikawa, "Shirai/Shirai-san?" Boboiboy and Touma were surprised to see her.
"Why are you here?"
"I'm bringing you two to the Judgement Branch."
"Eh?"
Between The Lines
In the 117th Judgement Branch, Misaka was sitting across Uiharu and Saten. As Misaka checked on her phone, they were staring at her.
Misaka noticed this. "What is it?"
"I hope you won't mind asking about something."
"I won't mind. What is it?"
"It's about your sisters." After hearing that one word, Mikoto sighed about this situation.
"Where do you want to start?"
"Pick anywhere you like. But if you have already explained Shirai-san about some parts, you can skip that." Saten said.
"It started when I was little. I was at a Medical Research Center, looking at some girls that couldn't move their muscles. One of scientists told me that my blood could help them. But they actually using it for something else."
"Using for what exactly?" Uiharu asked.
"Using it to create a series of clones called Sisters. They attempted to make Level 5 clones, but shown on Tree Diagram that it was impossible. So, they only created them as Level 2 Espers... And have you heard about the new chairman yet?"
"According to the news, he's on trial for murders he committed." Uiharu said.
"He actually killed half of my sisters." Saten and Uiharu widened at this.
"That guy! He's the one who did that?!"
"Yes, Saten-san. But I don't think you need to be mad at him anymore."
"What do you-"
"He's turning himself in. Did you forget he's on trial?"
They were silenced by the realization. "I think Accelerator knows what he did was wrong. And he's trying to redeem it by turning himself in and confessing his crimes."
"That's right." "You got a point there."
Part 4
Meanwhile, Touma, Boboiboy, and Shirai arrived at the 177th Judgement Branch by riding a taxi. "Finally, got out of that taxi."
"Why? It wasn't so bad." Boboiboy asked.
"It wasn't if you're between two people in the passenger seat." Shirai said, feeling awkward as she's sitting between two boys.
"But you could've seated at the front."
Touma pointed it out. She realized she could've teleported to that seat, "S-Shut up! Your hand was in the way."
"I have a question. Is your hand your power?"
"Sort of. It could negate any supernatural and even my luck." In Boboiboy's mind, Light takes note of Touma's ability.
"Come on, we should get inside."
"Right." Touma nodded with him.
As they headed inside, they passed some of the Judgement Members. "Why is Touma here? I was confused about that."
"After that stunt he pulled when he was in Los Angeles, the chairman forced me to get him to join Judgement."
He turned to Touma, "Well, there was an incident where the population in Los Angeles disappeared. Some of the people I met told me that I should head over there since it wouldn't cause a stir."
Kuroko knocks on the door, "Come in." She opened it and saw Saten, Uiharu, and Misaka sitting on the couch.
"Misaka? Why are you here?" Touma pointed it out.
"They invited me here. What about you two?"
"I had no idea." "Maybe because of what happened to FireBot?" Both spoke their answers differently.
Then another person entered the room. She has short black hair and blue eyes. And she also wears glasses. She wears the Judgement armband on her right arm.
"Konori-senpai, you made it."
"Yeah, sorry I'm late. Lots of paperwork that I need to fill out."
She saw Touma, Misaka, and Boboiboy there. "I see you brought them here, Shirai-san."
"Yes." She said in a formal tone.
Boboiboy raised his hand, "Question, why did you bring us here?"
"It has something to do with 'FireBot' that you dealt with." He went to listen to this carefully.
"Recently, we found more reports that Espers around the city are getting more powerful. Despite the data says otherwise."
"So, they are using the Power Spheres?"
"If that's what you called them, yes. They're using it to get their own powers or getting an upgrade to them."
Boboiboy gripped his hands, "We managed to catch one of them. But this Power Sphere looked different from others. Uiharu?" She nodded and showed them a picture of Power Sphere with a black screen as a face.
'That's InviBot.' Boboiboy recognized the Power Sphere that's showing.
"This one rebelled against the user and turned himself in," Konori said.
"Well, not all of them are like robots. Most of them had emotions in their programing." Boboiboy told her.
"So, where are they keeping it?" Misaka asked.
"It's in one of the Anti-Skills facilities."
Touma crossed his arms, "Sound something that they won't break in."
"Right. We had more run-ins between Power Spheres. The Judgement decide to recruit you three."
Krik - Krik - Krik - Krik
"Eh? Three of us?" Boboiboy pointed himself, then Touma, and then Misaka.
"That's right."
"Eeehhhhh?!"
"W-Why would you recruit this idiot?!" Misaka pointed to Touma in frustration.
'Did Misaka call Touma an idiot?'
"It was from the chairman. Since Boboiboy is the only one who had experience with Power Spheres, he decide to pick you both as a team." Touma facepalmed, realizing that was obvious.
Misaka was frustrated. At the same time, she was happy to be with him.
"So, we're officially part of Judgement?"
"Sort of. You three will be on your team, while Judgement and Anti-Skill will support you if you need help." Konori explains the role of Judgement and Anti-Skill to three of them.
Touma crossed his arms, "So, where do we start?"
Part 5
"I know we're supposed to be patrolling, but..." The three of them were by the vending machine. Misaka was drinking soda, Boboiboy was drinking canned tea, and Touma was drinking canned coffee. "Aren't we too relaxed?" Boboiboy asked.
Before heading out, they were wearing an earpiece on their left ear. [Onee-sama and Ap- Kamijou needed a break after the Los Angeles incident.]
They could hear Kuroko trying to be formal on the other end of the earpiece, "Says the girl who can teleport anywhere without taking a rest."
[Hey, teleporting to another country is too hard!]
[U-Um, maybe we should talk about something else?] Uiharu suggested.
[That's a good idea. I wanted to ask Boboiboy about something.]
"Sure."
[When did you receive your powers?] Mikoto was drinking her soda, as she's listening to his respond.
"I received this when I was ten."
Mikoto spats out her soda, "What?! You received it when you were ten?!"
"Yeah, I did. I was on a rough start, but getting better at using it. Also, Misaka." He points to something behind her, and she turns around.
She saw that she spats her soda onto Touma. "W-Why?"
Her face then started to pale, "Aaaahhh, I'm sorry!"
Boboiboy watches the chaos while drinking his tea. [Is everything okay?]
"Misaka accidentally spits her soda onto Touma."
Boboiboy could hear Saten laughing, "Mou! Why did you tell her that?!"
Part 6
After Touma was dried up with Fire's and Wind's help, they continued walking through the district.
Misaka was looking away, trying to forget about it. 'Maybe I should've kept that a secret.' Boboiboy begins to feel bad about it.
"Stay away!"
"Eh? But we don't want that." They heard a fight in the alley and headed over there.
Once arrived, they saw thugs cornering a well-endowed girl with blond hair and green eyes. She has a mole under her left eye.
She wears a black cloak over a sleeveless white blouse (open on the back) with a red skirt under a large belt. She wears two black ribbons on her temples.
Her forearms are covered in bandages, and she wears gloves. She wears black thigh-high socks supported garter belt, her legs have leather straps, and her ankles are bound with metal rings.
Misaka noticed she was hiding one hand behind her back. "We should step in."
"Wait." Misaka stops him, "Let's watch it first."
"But..."
"I told you that I'm not going with you!" The girl told them with anger.
"Aw, but how about-" Suddenly, his hand was bleeding.
"A-Argh!" They saw the girl pull out a knife and cut his hand. "Didn't I tell you that I'm not going with you? One more move and I will cut you." Her eyes then fill with a murderous feeling.
The thugs took one step away but quickly charged in. But before they could attack, they were knocked out by Lightning Slash.
"That's done." She saw Boboiboy Lightning holding his Lightning Blades, "Look, I don't want any trouble. I need you to listen to me."
She hesitated at first, but something moved from behind. Lightning noticed it, and he held his guard up. [Boboiboy, is that you?]
Then he heard a robotic voice that he recognized, "Wait, EmotiBot?"
"W-Wait, that was -uh!" Then a yellow Power Sphere comes out, revealed to be EmotiBot.
[It really is you!] EmotiBot quickly hugged him, embarrassing Lightning a little bit.
"Could you please stop hugging me? It's embarrassing."
[O-Oh, sorry!] EmotiBot stopped hugging as the girl put her knife away.
"You know EmotiBot?"
"Yeah, met him after he was... -sigh- Sorry, can't talk about it."
"Is it too traumatized?" Touma then enters the conversation.
"Yeah, it did for him. We had some misunderstandings, but we got everything cleared up." EmotiBot nodded.
Then Shirai landed on the ground, "Sorry about that. I was too far out of my reach." She saw the thugs knocked out and EmotiBot. Before she could ask, Boboiboy stepped in.
"I'll explain."
Between The Lines 2
In another district, the girl with long brown hair was pathing after running all the way. 'D-Damn it! I'm so embarrassing right now!'
Her face was red while feeling embarrassed and humiliated. 'I didn't manage to finish those two off! Not only that, I was being touched by a... by a-!'
She remembered a spiky hair boy touching her chest, and the cap boy was dense enough to think she was a chicken. She opened her hands, revealing claw-like energy fingers.
The girl flings a nearby garbage can, knocking it into the alleyway.
But what she didn't know was something was hiding there. [Hehehe.] It had glowing purple eyes, and it was laughing. Almost like it was pleased.
Part 7
After telling Kuroko what happened, Judgement arrived and arrested the thugs.
"They won't be held forever, won't they?"
"Not really. They might be release early on good behavior."
"Um, who are you?" Mikoto asked.
"That's right. I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Esther Rosenthal. It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too." Boboiboy, Mikoto, and Kuroko said. They (except Boboiboy) introduce themselves.
"So, you're not from Academy City?" Kuroko asked.
"Yeah."
"Is there a reason why you're here?"
"I... I want to see my master!" Esther tells his reason with passion.
"Your master? Did they have a name?"
Esther nodded, "My master's name Accelerator!"
Touma nearly jaw-drop, Kuroko almost fainted, and Mikoto widened her eyes.
"Ehhhhh?! Accelerator is your master?!"
"Yeah! He's my master. Do you know where he is?"
"U-Um, it's a long story." Touma scratched his head.
Boboiboy and EmotiBot looked at each other, [Do you know what they're talking about?]
"Not a clue, EmotiBot." Boboiboy answered.
Touma explained to Esther about Accelerator's position. "What?! He's now a chairman and currently in trial?!"
"Yeah. Didn't you watch news?"
Esther looked away while her fingers touched each other, "I don't have one of those screens at home. Never gotten experience with technology."
"It's actually called a TV." Mikoto muttered.
"What should I do? I don't want to interrupt him." Touma then got an idea.
"I know how to call him. But could you keep this a secret?" He asked.
She nodded, "Got it."
He looked at the others. "If you don't mind."
"Go ahead. We respect your privacy."
Touma and Esther walked far away from the others. Touma turned off his communicator. "Do you girls know about this?" Boboiboy asked.
"No, I didn't know about this." "Me neither."
[Same.] Uiharu hummed, agreeing with Saten.
After getting far enough, Touma pulled out his phone and called someone. [Connect with Board Chairman. Authorization Code: Hero/000.]
Then a familiar voice answered, [What do you want, Hero? I'm busy.] Accelerator asked.
"Well, how should I say this? There's someone who wants to meet you."
[Who in the hell wants to-]
Esther swiped Touma's phone and said, "Hey, master. It's been a while."
After a moment of silence, he talks back. [Why the hell are you here? Shouldn't you be outside of Academy City?]
"I wanted to see you. But when I heard you're now a chairman, I was surprised."
[Now that you heard about it. Are you planning to leave?]
"I-I want to stay. But..." Esther gripped her hand, knowing she had to leave Academy City.
[I heard Last Order wants someone to play with her. Since Yomikawa and I are busy, I figure you'll be the right person for the job.]
"E-Eh?! But I don't have-"
[A safe house? Asked the Hero for that.]
"Hero?" She looked at Touma, puzzling things together.
[I'm going to hang up. I have more work to do.]
"W-Wait, master-!" But Accelerator ended the call.
"Did he end the call?" Esther nodded.
"Um, Kamijou-san, do you have any safe house?" She asked.
"I don't. But I might know someone who can help. Can I have my phone back first?" She nodded and gave it back to Touma.
Touma opened his contacts and called someone. After for few minutes, it picked up. [Yo, Kami-yan! How you've been doing with your team?]
"Well, not bad. Got along with Misaka and get to know Boboiboy after finding out he's my new neighbor."
[But that seems bland. You didn't tell tsundere #1 about the cookies you've eaten. And your antics with the cap are hilarious.]
"H-Hey! We're getting off-track here! I'm here to tell you about something important!" He could hear his caller laughing.
[Yeah, yeah. You wanted to tell me about a safe house, right?]
Touma was surprised by his caller, "How did-"
[That's classified, Kami-yan. Who is it for?] Touma sighed, getting tired of his antics.
"It's for a friend of Accelerator."
[Oooh, this is interesting. Who is it?]
"Esther Rosenthal."
The caller hummed at the name, [I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, she should stay at your place.]
"Stay at my place?! Hey!"
[Goodbye!]
"Tsuchi-"
He hung up on him.
Touma sighed. "Did he get a safe house?" Esther asked.
"It will take a while. He proposed that you will stay at my place, before he could find one." Esther looked down, blushing.
"Why am I friends with him anyway?" Touma asked himself, questioning his friendship.
After that, Touma explained this to the others. "Ehhhhh?! She has to stay at your place?!" He nodded.
"Whoever you called wanted to do this, huh?"
"You have no idea, Shirai-san. You have no idea."
Boboiboy then thought of something, "Hey, Shirai. What happened to EmotiBot now?"
"Well, he would be transferred to the same facility where InviBot is held."
"Think you can show it? I'm still worried since FireBot is still with Anti-Skill." She sighed.
"When you put it like that, I guess I can let you come. Since the chairman allowed anyone who had knowledge on Power Spheres."
"Thanks. Come on, EmotiBot."
[Right.] Boboiboy held EmotiBot in his hands. Kuroko went and touched Boboiboy's other hand.
"Ape, don't do anything stupid to Onee-sama."
"Hey! Since I have ever done that?!"
They teleported, leaving Touma with Misaka and Esther. Touma looked at Esther and Mikoto, "Want to get something eat? I'll pay."
"No, no. I'll pay. You're broke, remember?"
Touma facepalmed, knowing she was right. Esther thought about what she should eat, 'Should I eat pudding? Or a chicken roast.'
Part 8
Shirai teleported herself, Boboiboy, and EmotiBot in front of a facility. "Woah! So, this is where they keep the Power Spheres?"
"You're correct. This facility was used for fixing Anti-Skill's technology. Now we used it for storing all the Power Spheres here."
EmotiBot touched his chin, "Come on, there are some people who you want to meet." They entered the facility, following Shirai.
Boboiboy noticed a few people working there, which caused him questionable. "Shirai, why aren't there many people?"
[I can answer that question.] Uiharu stepped in, [The people you see in the facility used to be a part of an evil organization called STUDY.]
"STUDY? Did you guys have a run-in with them?"
[That's right. Misaka was protecting this young girl that was part of the experiment. We got some help from all of the Judgement Members in Academy City.] Boboiboy nodded.
"And Onee-sama stopped the AIM bomb that was used to kill all Espers in the city."
"How did she do it?" Kuroko smiled.
"By sending herself into space and used her Railgun!" EmotiBot makes a surprised face after hearing it.
Boboiboy was trying so hard not to jaw-dropped on that story, [Amazing! I never knew Misaka-san would be like that!]
They could hear Esther speaking on the communicator, [Well, that what she was. Misaka's sense of justice makes her what I called a friend.]
[S-Stop it, idiot. You're embarrassing me.]
"Are you couples on a date?" Shirai widened upon hearing it.
She took Boboiboy's communicator and spoke through it, "Onee-sama! Don't tell me! You're on a date?!"
[N-No, no, no. It's not like that, Kuroko. We're just ordering something from Joseph's Coffee and Restaurant.]
Boboiboy saw Kuroko sending out a menacing aura off her body. He can't help but step in.
He turned into Boboiboy Earth and smacked her head with Earth Gloves, "Hey! Esther is there! Don't think of it as a date!"
"BUT THAT APE-"
She shut her mouth after seeing Earth's mommy stare, "Don't make me hit you with this frying pan!" He pulled out a frying pan, threatening her.
"Y-Yeah. But uhh... Where did that frying pan come from?"
"What's all that ruckus?" They hear a man's voice in the hall, "I could hear the bickering from here."
He is a tall and slender bespectacled male wearing his black hair short. He wears round-framed glasses and is wearing a lab coat over his uniform of sorts. Which consists of a buttoned-up collared shirt and pants, both blue-green in color.
"When you're in a facility. Could you keep your voice down?" He told them.
"Sorry. I couldn't help myself." He turned back to normal Boboiboy.
"Forgive me too, Aritomi Haruki."
"Apology accepted. And I see you have another Power Sphere beside you." He pointed to EmotiBot.
"Yeah, I was wondering how the other Power Spheres are doing."
"Well, let me show you."
As they followed Aritomi, he couldn't help but ask Boboiboy about Power Spheres. "Hey, Boboiboy, right? Do you know how these Power Spheres are created? They're AI and technology is unlike anything I ever seen."
"That's hard to answer, but I could answer it however I can." He nodded, "They were created by a group of people called Kubulus. The Power Spheres were meant to protect the innocent. But after the creators became greedy, they flee and went into hiding."
"Greed for power, huh? What about that FireBot?" Shirai asked.
"FireBot is in dormant mode. I don't know anything else other than that."
They entered a control room, showing live recordings. "This is where we monitor the Power Spheres we collected. If they ever get stolen, we used everything we know of to counter it." It showed a recording of FireBot and InviBot tested.
Boboiboy noticed that InviBot was interacting with a girl with short brown hair, "Who's that scientist?"
Aritomi noticed who Boboiboy referred to, "That's Sakurai Jun. She's also part of STUDY. She saw InviBot as a kid who was alone. She took upon herself interacting with him." They nodded.
"And let me tell you, they were having a great time together." The recording shows Sakurai punching the floor, making cracks.
Boboiboy saw they high-five together. He was smiling to see that InviBot wasn't alone. "Anyways, I think this Power Sphere needs to stay here for safety." EmotiBot quickly hides behind Boboiboy, feeling scared.
"Um, you don't mind if I keep him? He's scared of being with someone he doesn't know about." Boboiboy asked.
"Wha-?! But that's-."
"Not all Power Spheres are bad, Shirai. Some of them were scared of being used as a puppet. For EmotiBot, he's being sold and steal by numerous criminals, traumatizing him."
Aritomi touched his chin, "I guess I don't mind. But if he were in real danger, he should stay here." He nodded.
"You got it, Aritomi-san." Boboiboy nodded, agreeing with her.
Epilogue
After touring around the facility, Shirai teleported alone, stating that she had Judgement work to be done. Before they head to the Student Dormitory, Boboiboy turns off the communication and puts it in his pocket.
Boboiboy Wind flew back to the Student Dormitory with EmotiBot. After that, they walked upstairs. [That was nice of him to let me stay.]
"Yeah, he was."
After walking up to the floor, they saw Touma and Esther. "Hey, how is it going?" He asked while walking towards them.
"It's pretty good. There wasn't a lot snapped things happened." Touma said.
"But you did bump into that lady's chest on accident." She reminded him, making Boboiboy surprised.
"Eh?! That's bad luck."
"You have no idea."
Touma opened the door, letting the others in. "Index, I'm back! And I've brought some guest!" She turned around and rushed towards him.
"Really?!" Once she arrived, she saw Esther there.
Index stared at her, making Esther uneasy. "U-Um, is something wrong?"
"Touma, are you dating her?" Index asked.
"You sadistic nun! I'm not dating her! What makes you think that?!" He shouted in front of her face, embarrassed by that thought.
As they continued shouting, Esther whispered to Boboiboy. "Does this always happen?"
"I have no idea."
Touma begins to explain to Index what happened today, with Esther sitting beside him and Boboiboy in the kitchen cooking. "So what you're saying is she's from a foreign country?"
Touma nodded, "And she's staying here until her safehouse is ready?"
"That's right, Index. Don't make this anymore tiring."
Index stared at Esther and pointed at her, "You're a magician!"
"Eh?!"
"W-W-Wait, Index! You can't just tell something like that in front of-" Then plates of curry were placed on a table, "Are you keeping secrets from me?" Boboiboy asked. Touma tried to come up with a good lie but was run out of ideas.
"Tell them, human." Then Othinius popped out of Touma's jacket, "Tell that robot and elemental human about the Magic Side." He looked at them and decided to tell them.
"Magic is like the Science Side, except it's more leaning on supernatural and no scientific explanation for the abilities."
Index then decided to speak about it, "Magic is a complex system of arts, disciplines, and traditions that are firmly grounded in laws and knowledge that are wholly unknown and beyond the grasp of human sciences, which sought to manipulate and distort certain aspects of reality."
"Like reversing the damage in the city?" Boboiboy asked.
"On point. But you can't have done that alone. You need some sacrifices if you want to restore everything." Index told him the usage.
Boboiboy and EmotiBot felt surprised by the usage of Magic. [So, none of those Magic comes with a price?] He shook his head, not worth it.
"Also, you can't use Magic. You're an Esper. Magic is not something used by 'talented people' like Espers."
"What would happen if I used it?" He asked.
Esther answers, "Your body won't be able to handle that and exploded." His eyes widened, and EmotiBot's face was replaced with a shocking expression.
"I think that's enough talking about Magic. What about you, Boboiboy?" He took a deep breath and answered.
"I'll give you a demonstration."
He stood up and prepared his watch. "Boboiboy Hepta Split!" He splits himself into seven, surprising everyone (except EmotiBot and Othinius).
"Eeehhhhh?!" "What's going on?!"
Earth came with a frying pan and struck Touma's and Esther's heads, "Keep it down, you two! There are people whose sleeping!"
His shout managed to get everyone (except Othinius) scared. "Y-Yes, sir."
Leaf smelled something, "Is that curry?" "Yeah, I made it for everyone. I'll get some more." Earth went into the kitchen.
"I-I'll help with that." Touma went in, helping with Earth's plating.
As they ate their curries, Index started a conversation. "Boboiboy."
"Yes." All Boboiboys turned to Index.
"Um, Index, maybe we should use their nicknames. Do you guys have one?"
"Yeah, we do. We used it all the time." Wind said, "We called ourselves Earth, Wind, Lightning, Fire, Water, Leaf, and Light. We don't need to add Boboiboy to cause confusion." Leaf said.
Esther looked at them, piecing their names together. "So, the red one is Fire?" "Yup." He continues grabbing more curry and eating it.
"The light blue is Water?" "Hm." He finished his curry before sleeping on the floor.
"Yellow is Lightning, brown is Earth, green is Leaf, white is Light, and blue is Wind." Othinius said.
"Got that right." "Yeah." The remaining brothers nodded.
"I'm surprised you weren't shocked miss...?"
"Othinius. And it wasn't the last thing I've seen something crazy." She crossed her arms with one eye closed.
"So, can you do this all the time?" Esther asked.
"We can't. If we do this for too long or too far. We will lose our memories."
"*cough *cough *cough"
Touma accidentally coughed while eating his curry, "Touma, slow down while eating." Earth gave him a glass of water.
"T-Thank you." He drinks it, feeling refreshed.
Index was shocked by this, hearing that Touma wasn't the only one with memory loss. Wind saw her face and decided to speak, "Don't worry. It's not permanent."
"It's more like amnesia rather than memory erase." Light explained.
She relief that he wasn't in the same boat. "You're lucky." Leaf heard Touma mumbling.
"Did you say something?"
"Nothing." The brothers looked at each other, not knowing what he said.
After having lunch, everyone went to bed. Boboiboy turned back to normal and went to his room. Index was sleeping on the bed with Esther. EmotiBot sleeping by Othinius.
While Touma was sleeping in his bathtub. In Touma's mind, he couldn't forget about Boboiboy's Split. 'He's... like me. But his memory can be restored, so that's fine.'
He closed his eyes, going to sleep. 'But I better sleep. Tomorrow might be a busy day.'
