A/N: Everyone, can I tell you something? There might be some of you that already known about this (or none at all), but... I– might have put in a third series in this crossover. And if you're wondering which one, it's Beyblade Metal Series. The reason I tell you this is because there might be some readers that are confused by the characters.
(Also, I know what Beyblades are. If anyone does remember it, I won't describe it here.)
The Beyblade part in this story is very much like reimagined. It's own thing in the universe and it doesn't have the Beyblades Battles just some abilities that are similar to their actual ones. I know there are people who would be screaming at me for writing this. And if there aren't, i might have been worry too much.
Also, Lordofchangelulz (sorry, if I spell it wrong.) I hope you enjoy reading this, consindering you wanted me continue this in the reviews.
Sorry for this long talk, and Enjoy Reading.
Prologue
Boboiboy explained his powers and their reactions were shock. Changing from one element to other is one thing, but splitting into multiple versions of himself was something that doesn't have scientific explanation.
"That was unexpected, Boboiboy! Splitting yourself into three is awesome!" Boboiboy smile at Gingka's compliment.
"Though that would explain why you're a Level 3." Madoka was looking into Boboiboy's data when he split, "When you split yourself, your Level seems to be dropping." The data shows that his Level dropped to Level 3 after splitting himself.
"So, how were you so used to the splitting? Any person would that isn't a first-timer!" Kenta asked.
Boboiboy scratched the back of his head, "That's… personal. I had this ability when I was 10 years old."
They widened by the fact that Boboiboy has that ability since he was ten, "M-Maybe we shouldn't ask more about your Esper. I feel like we shouldn't pry it for any longer." Touma said. They nodded, agreeing that they shouldn't pry into his privacy.
Boboiboy chuckled before realizing something, "Gingka, do you have a place to stay?" Gingka looks away, not answering the question.
"He doesn't have a place to stay. Gingka always sleep by the river." Kenta answering Boboiboy's question.
"That's horrible. You should stay at my place for the time being." Madoka suggested.
"E-Eh?! But I like to sleep-"
"You. Don't. Sleep. Here. Understand?!" She frowned at Gingka, causing him to flinch.
"F-Fine, I won't. But wouldn't it be too awkward that I stay there?" Gingka pointed out.
"You could stay at Boboiboy's place. His next door to mine." Touma said.
"Yeah, I could accept to that." Gingka accepted it.
"You didn't forget about Kyoya's battle, right?" Kenta asked.
"Kyoya? Who's that?" Misaka was confused on Kenta's words.
"Kyoya is the leader of Esper Hunters. He's the strongest Esper in that group. And once he's entered the battle…" Kenta swallowed, fumbling on his words. The group was cleared that the name Kyoya is a feared name, especially around when it comes to lowered Level Espers.
"… he doesn't stop until his opponents are completely destroy. They say Kyoya's like a wild lion that enjoys the hunt!" Touma walk towards Kenta and touch on his shoulder.
"Look, if you don't want to explain on who this Kyoya guy is, it's fine."
"But-!"
"No buts!" Misaka then joined in, "If you continue remembering those words, you will be having a nightmare." She said, "Just relax and believe that Hagane-san can do it."
Kenta took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "You're right. I shouldn't be this afraid."
"That's the spirit!" Gingka said, before his stomach let out a growl. "I don't suppose you have something to eat at your place?" He asked Boboiboy.
"Don't worry. I have something like that."
Between The Lines 1
"So, you're saying this kid with the cap can split himself into three?" Kyoya asked his member, while sitting on a crate.
"That's right. I saw it with my own eyes! He was still one person, until he suddenly split himself into three!"
The muscle member didn't believe his story, "Have you been imagining things? Because if you do, we don't like liars!" He walked forward, scaring him.
"N-No! I wasn't lying, you have to believe me!"
"Benkei, Stand down!" Kyoya orders him.
"All right, Kyoya-san." Benkei accepts his orders.
Kyoya cackle at this, "I want to see what this kid capable of. Benkei! Do we have any more Espers that are still active?"
"Yes, we do!"
"How many of them?"
"About 63 Espers are still active!" Benkei reported.
"Gather 50 Espers of our members! I want to see this kid's ability."
"But what about your battle with that Gingka kid? You have that battle tomorrow." One member asked.
Kyoya smile at the question, "I have something in mind for that."
Part 1
"I know that you're broke. But to think that you actually lived here." Misaka look at the dormitory, that's almost looks like an apartment building.
"Well, this is where I live for a while. Since I've joined the school." Touma respond to Misaka. They walked to the entrance, "You guys can use the elevator if you want. It can fit about four people in there."
"You're not going to walk up there, right?" Kenta said.
"Hey, if you live harshly, you have to get used to it. I'll go on ahead." As he about headed to the stairs, he was grabbed by Misaka.
"Hold up, idiot. I'm not letting you walk up those stairs."
"M-Misaka, aren't you being to kind? You don't have to treat me like this."
"W-What are you talking about? I just… don't want your life to be harsher than what it is." Touma couldn't hear what she just said at the end, but shrugged it off nonetheless.
Gingka went to whispered Boboiboy, "Are they a couple?"
Boboiboy sighed, "I honestly don't know."
Touma then heads to the elevator with Misaka, Gingka, and Boboiboy. As they go up, the atmosphere around them is awkward. Gingka was whistling to pass the time, Touma was focused on the door, and Misaka looked away as she was next to Touma.
In Boboiboy's mind, the personalities was having a conversation. "So, you're saying that Gingka is a Magician?" Leaf asked.
"He is. We saw him pull out those papers out from his jacket. Not only that, he could summon a Pegasus. I don't think a regular Esper needed those runes to summon a Pegasus, or using a wind attack." Light explained to everyone in the mind.
"Guess that would explain his abilities. But why is here? He wouldn't have a reason to be in Academy City." Earth asked.
"Maybe he's on a secret mission from the Magic Side?" Wind theorized.
"Sounds possible. But what would the secret mission be?" Lightning asked them a question. Fire was about to answer but was interrupted by something.
Boboiboy snapped out of his thought by the sound of the elevator bell. 'Guess we have to think about this another time.' They stepped out of the elevator, feeling relief that they're finally out. Madoka and Kenta joins on them after riding the elevator.
"So, where's your room, Boboiboy?"
"It's beside Touma's. Touma needed help for breakfast, since his fridge was nearly empty."
Touma nodded, "Yeah, it's true." As they in front of the door, Touma knocks it.
"Who is it?" That got some people who weren't visited Touma suspicious.
"It's me, Touma." The door opened, and reveal to be Esther opening the door.
"Oh, Kamijou-san. It's good to see you back." She noticed Gingka, Kenta, and Madoka behind him. "You brought visitors."
"Yeah, I did. Come on, guys." They entered his room, and remove their shoes before entering the living room.
Then Index pops out of the corner, "Touma, welcome back!" The others (except Boboiboy and Misaka) were surprised to see a nun living in Touma's dormitory.
"Yeah."
Index smile immediately faded after she saw Misaka, "Touma, why is Short Hair here?"
"To answer your question, I'm here for over a lunch. Also stop calling me Short Hair, Silver Sister." Index looked away with a huff and heads in.
Gingka couldn't help but confuse by this. 'Are they having a fight for Touma or something?'
As Earth and Touma went to the kitchen and cooking, Esther and Misaka explained about EmotiBot and Esther's place. "So, you're staying here until the safehouse is ready?" Madoka asked.
"That's right. After talking with my master, I decide to stay here in Academy City."
"Though I'm confused about EmotiBot. What does he do?" Gingka asked.
Light then answered his question, "To answer your question, EmotiBot has the power to manipulate emotions."
"Manipulate emotions?" Kenta was confused by this.
"It's like this. Fire has been fired-up, ready for battle. But what if you can switch or changed his emotions?" That got Misaka into thinking.
"Like you switch the water filter from the fridge?" Misaka asked.
"Almost, EmotiBot can manipulate emotions like anything he imagines. Like emotion sickness, emotion similar to cats, emotions like a Pinocchio, etc."
"Wait, like a Pinocchio?" Gingka was confused by this emotion.
"You've heard the story of Pinocchio, right?" Gingka nodded, "It's like every time he lied, his nose grows longer and longer."
Wind and Leaf chuckled at the image of Fire with a long nose, while Fire was scare of imagining it. "Oh, I see." Gingka understand what he's trying to say.
After five minutes, Earth and Touma had prepared the curry and special hot chocolate. Gingka was unsure by the food.
"Is this safe to eat?"
"Wait, you don't eat curry?" Leaf asked.
"Not really. I always eating hamburgers, those were my favorites." Gingka said.
"Well, this is curry. You should try something new. Can't always eat the same thing in your life." Earth said to him.
Kenta noticed that Index was drooling over the food in front of her. Esther saw it, and tries snap Index out of it. "Index, you're drooling! Snap out of it." She snapped out of it and saw Kenta staring at her with awkwardness.
After plating it up, everyone begins eating the curry. After one taste, they felt taste of the curry. "This… This is amazing." Gingka begin tearing up as he continue eating. Kenta was exploded with happiness as he continue eating.
"I'm glad that I accepted the invitation." Madoka nodded beside her, agreeing with Misaka. Everyone was eating the curry, until Boboiboy's personalities and Index finished all of the curry.
"Man, that was delicious!" Gingka said, "Though I wonder about this." He looked at the hot chocolate that was on the table.
"Oh, you can have that. I already giving it to everyone." Boboiboy told him.
Gingka picks the cup up, and drinks the hot chocolate. After feeling the taste, he quickly drink it all up in one go.
Madoka, Misaka, and Kenta were drinking the chocolate, feeling the sweetness from it. 'This… This taste like hot chocolate!' Madoka looked at Boboiboy with shocked, 'I can't believe that he could make something like this! I have my respect for him.'
After dinner, Earth and Touma were washing the dishes in the kitchen. Meanwhile, Madoka asked Gingka about something. "Hey, Gingka, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, fire away."
"What's your Level? I couldn't but help wondered how high you are when you fought Boboiboy." Madoka told her reasoning.
Gingka scratches his cheek, while Kenta was trying so hard not making any suspicious face, since he knows Gingka's secret. "I… Um… actually don't know about my Level."
Misaka widened by this, "You didn't measure when you first got it?" Gingka shook his head, telling her it's a no.
"Well, good thing I brought this." Madoka pulled her device, "This device could measure Esper's Level from 0-5."
"Right, I remember you used it on Boboiboy once." Misaka remembered that Madoka used it to see what Level Boboiboy is.
Madoka used it Gingka, and it brought some strange result. "That's weird."
"What's weird?" Misaka looked at it and was surprised by this.
[ERROR – SCANNING INTERFERENCE DETECTED.]
"How strange! Is it a bug, or-"
"It's magic." Index answered, cutting off Madoka. "His magic is interfering with your device." Everybody stared at Index, causes her confusion. "What's wrong? I was just telling the problems."
Touma face-palmed at Index, "Index, did you forget we're supposed to keep magic a secret?" Index realized she told two people from the Science Side that Gingka was a magician.
"Um… I mean that-"
"I knew." They turned to Kenta, who was looking down. "Gingka already told me that he was a magician."
Gingka chuckled, "I thought that it was good enough for only letting him know. So, I didn't think that I found out by everyone here too."
"Then Esther is a Magician too?" Misaka asked.
"Yes, I am a Magician."
"Huh, to think that magic was actually exist." Madoka mumbled herself after learning that magic existed. Then she realized Boboiboy and Misaka weren't surprised, "Wait! Why aren't you both-?"
"I found out by coincidence." Misaka said, remembering the time she encounter a wrinkled old man that was chasing Touma throughout Academy City.
"I was told about the Magic Side in exchange they know about my Espers abilities." Boboiboy told her.
"Am I the only one here who figure out just now?" Madoka asked.
"Yeah." Madoka sulked that she was the only one that found out about magic. EmotiBot came and pats her head for comfort.
After having dinner, Misaka, Kenta, and Madoka went back to their homes as it's getting late. Touma and Boboiboy were cleaning up the table from the dinner. While Gingka was having a conversation with Index, Esther, and EmotiBot about his magic.
Gingka explained that his magic is connected to the runes his carrying in his jacket. Esther and EmotiBot were awed by his magic, while Index (and Othinius) weren't surprised by Gingka's magic since they already knew a magician who could do summoning.
Touma and Boboiboy were done cleaning, then Gingka went to Boboiboy's room. As Gingka heads in, he was surprised there was little difference from Touma's room. "Enjoy your stay, Gingka."
As he looked around, he noticed Boboiboy was yawning. "Tired?"
"Yeah, using my splitting too much lose a lot of energy." Gingka nodded, understanding his limits of using the ability.
As they sleep, Gingka couldn't help but think about Boboiboy. He seemed a powerful Esper, except he doesn't get corrupted or thirst by power. All of the opponents he encounter when travelling around, Gingka couldn't help but wondered if they ever fought again.
Part 2
The next morning, Gingka was waking up by the sunlight. "Urrrggghhh, what a morning!" He gets off the couch and saw Boboiboy wearing a trainer jacket while sweating. "Boboiboy, did you exercise?"
"Yeah… I did." He back against the wall, feeling tired. 'That training was so worth it.'
Last night, he was doing some training with his second-tier elements without nobody noticing. All of his elements were trying to keep their power minimal, hoping that they wouldn't get attention from anyone. They were training stamina, speed, strength, reflexes, and more. He remembered that Quake lost his temper to Blaze and Solar.
Apparently, Blaze was having a fight with Solar for how weak his shot is. Solar talks back saying that he wants to see how far he can shoot with the light of energy. The two started bickering, until Quake steps in and hits them with his frying pan.
After that, they continue training until 5-6 AM.
"I'm going to take a bath." He gets himself back up, heading to the bathroom.
"Right, I'll wait here." Gingka watches him enter the bathroom with a towel. While waiting, he saw a TV in front of him. 'Guess watching it wouldn't mind.' He turned on the TV, watching some news.
Gingka wasn't paying to any little details except the important ones on the news. The news reports an escape prisoner from the Juvenile Hall. The prisoner that escape was called Ladylee Tangleroad. Gingka recognized her as one of the dangerous magicians that he was told about. Knowing she escape from prison, means danger for the Acade- no, the entire world.
Boboiboy get out of the bathroom, wearing his regular clothing and carrying the dirty ones. "Gingka, your turn to take bath."
"Right." Gingka went into the bathroom. While his taking a bath, Boboiboy was cleaning his dirty clothes and hanged them by the balcony. After that, he went to the kitchen, making breakfast.
Gingka got out of the bathroom, refreshing from the bath. Suddenly, he smell something good. He took a look, and saw Boboiboy plating up breakfast. Boboiboy noticed he was out the bathroom, "Hey, breakfast ready."
"Y-Yeah, I'm coming." Gingka sits, looking at his breakfast. "What's this?" He couldn't help but asked Boboiboy.
"It's fried rice. Just eat it, it's good." Boboiboy took a spoon, and eats the fried rice.
Gingka takes a bite from the spoon, and felt the deliciousness from the rice. 'It's good!' He quickly eats it, causing Boboiboy to chuckle.
Boboiboy and Gingka leave the room after eating breakfast. They saw Touma getting out of his room, "Touma, did you already have breakfast?"
"Yeah. Managed to make enough meals for Index's never-ending hunger." Touma said. They walk downstairs, leaving the dormitory.
"Did you guys anything you like to do?"
Boboiboy thought of today's plan, "Maybe we should-"
"Hey!" They turned to the voice and saw it was one of Kenta's friends running towards them.
He stopped in front of them, feeling exhausted. "Akira, what's wrong?"
Akira couldn't say a word from exhaustion. "You three… I need your help!"
"What's wrong? Try to stay calm and tell us what's wrong." Boboiboy tells him.
"K-Kenta was…" The three looked at each other, feeling something had happened to Kenta.
They're at the park, where Akira explained everything about why he's desperate. "What?! Kenta was-!" He nodded, confirming Boboiboy's question.
"Yeah, the group from the Esper Hunters came out of nowhere and took Kenta to the Metal Tower. He said that he wants Gingka Hagane and the mysterious Esper there for the match." Akira explained the situation to them.
Touma turned to Gingka, "Gingka-san, did you already know about this?"
"Yeah, I knew that I would be having a match today, but not like this. As for the mysterious Esper, I don't know who it is." Gingka said.
"Then what should we do? Should we call Anti-Skill?" Akira asked.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Akira was surprised by Gingka's refusal, "If we call Anti-Skill, Kenta might be in more trouble than ever. And if we took time to look for that Esper, our time might shorten." Akira had to admit, calling Anti-Skill would be risky and looking for the Esper at the same time would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
"Then we should head to Metal Tower right away. Akira, do you know where it is?" Boboiboy asked.
"I know where it is. Follow me!" They nodded, and follow Akira to the Metal Tower.
Part 3
In the midst of bustling streets of the science city, stood a large tower that's stretched up to the clouds. It was a dozen feet long, and a large platform at the tip of the tower. In the middle of the building ran a cylindrical elevator, leading up to the platform.
In the elevator, Akira was feeling nervous. Boboiboy noticed this, "You're nervous?"
Akira snapped out of his thought by Boboiboy, "Y-Yeah, I'm worried about Kenta."
"Don't worry. We'll save him." Boboiboy assured him.
"But Kyoya is a Level 4 Esper. How are you supposed to beat him?"
"Then we need to outsmart him." Gingka said, "Even if he's powerful like you said, he's bound to have an opening when using his ability."
"Akira, what was Kyoya ability again?" Touma asked.
"If I remember it correctly, it's Gale Storm. It allows him to control current of the wind around him." Akira explained.
Boboiboy then realized something, "If we're up here, wouldn't he get an advantage?"
The others realized it too, "That's true. The higher you get, the stronger the wind is." Touma said.
"We better be careful." They heard the elevator's bell, arriving at the platform. As soon they stepped out of the elevator, they saw Kenta was being held by Esper Hunters. However, they felt a strong, unnatural gust of wind blow at their faces. Akira nearly tumbled off his feet due to the intensity of the wind.
"What a pleasant surprise!" A voice rang out from the top of the platform, driving their attention. There, they saw not only Benkei, but 65 Esper Hunters standing parallel to them. They noticed that Kenta was being held by one of the Esper Hunters, gritting their teeth.
"Esper Hunters!" Gingka shouted.
"Give us back Kenta!" Akira followed up.
Surprised to hear, Kenta saw Gingka, Akira, Touma, and Boboiboy had come to save him. Gingka was about to reach runes until Touma stopped him. "Gingka, calm down. They wouldn't have done this if Kyoya wasn't around."
"He's got a point there, Gingka Hagane." They turned to the voice, and saw Kyoya there. "Yo, Gingka. Your worst nightmare is right here!"
Kyoya viciously chuckle, "I can handle someone like you all by myself! But can you handle it?" Gingka gritted his teeth. "But before we begin our fight, I want to see your friend's power."
He points to Boboiboy which surprised them, "You know about it?"
"Of course I know. One of my men saw your fight with Gingka by the bridge. And his description seems skeptical, but I want to see it for myself." Boboiboy gripped his hands, thinking that he had to fight Kyoya too.
"So, am I going to fight you like Gingka?"
"Oh, no no no. You're fighting fifty of these guys." Fifty Esper Hunters walked forward, which surprised Akira and Touma.
However, Boboiboy managed to keep his cool. "All right, I'll take you guys on." He turned to Akira, who was scared for his life. "Don't worry, I'll promise that I can win this." He said before walking towards the Esper Hunters.
Between The Lines 2
"Oh, boy! Wasn't expecting that." On another building, the green-haired girl was watching everything she saw on the roof.
"A young Esper getting capture by Esper Hunters. This is something out of the ordinary." She eats her vanilla ice cream after talking to herself. 'But… that new kid is going first.' She saw Boboiboy walking towards them with determination.
'Mom told me to watch over him. Wonder what she's thinking about?' Then she takes bite from her ice cream. 'I can't wait to see those hunters faces!' She can't wait for Esper Hunters reaction.
Part 4
Boboiboy saw the hunters smile cockily, thinking that the had the upper hand by numbers. He noticed that Benkei was standing, which was odd. He ignored that for now and continue on the battle, "So, who wants to go first?"
They smiled at the question as they active their abilities, 'Why even asked?' They used their abilities on Boboiboy, but he was able to dodge it. He rushed towards one of them, and punched his chest.
"Urgh!" He instantly fell to the ground after one hit. The other members were surprised by how easily one of their members was knocked out by a single punch.
"G-Get away from him! We don't want to get close!" They took a step away from Boboiboy, not wanting to get close.
Boboiboy project something in his hand, "Lightning Kris!" He summons a lightning shape like a bolt. He throws it at one of the hunters, knocking him out. Boboiboy summons more Lightning Kris, throwing at the remaining hunters.
The hunters were scrambled to dodge it but were either gets shocked, or managed to dodge it by luck. One of the hunters shoots a fireball at Boboiboy. He noticed the fireball coming, "Whirling Wind!" He deflected the fireball, hitting the Esper Hunter instead. Kyoya felt the wind, started to smiling.
Benkei noticed this, "Kyoya-san, why are you smiling?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm just admiring the wind, that's all." Benkei understood what he was saying and nods.
'Not many are standing.' He saw there were only 30 Esper Hunters left. "Let's crank it up!" He activated his Power Watch. Kyoya gets interested on what he will be doing.
"This isn't good! Quick!" They rushed towards him, hoping to stopped Boboiboy.
"Boboiboy Hepta-" He summoned a circle above and jump, "- Split!" He splits himself into all seven elements of himself.
Gingka, Touma, and Kenta were smiling at Boboiboy's split, knowing the chances of him winning. Akira and the rest of the Esper Hunters were surprised by how many Boboiboy can split himself into seven people. Kyoya couldn't help but impressed by his split ability.
"Let's play! Flaming Punch!" Fire generates a fire on his fist and release it towards the Esper Hunters. They tried to get away, but were caught in the blast.
Lightning then summon his Lightning Blades, "Lightning Dash!" He dashed at the other thugs, slashing them in the smoke. "Light Finger Shot!" Light joins in, firing light from his finger. Water didn't say anything but shoots water balls at the enemy.
"Leaf Stunning Shuriken Leaf!" Leaf throws shurikens at thugs, placing them in place. Earth attacks some of them with his Earth Gloves. "Go high!" Wind punched other thugs with Typhoon Uppercut.
Outside of the smoke, they could hear the thugs were getting beaten. Benkei couldn't help but clenched his fist, "Damn it! I can't see the action!"
"Wind Blast!" The smoke quickly blew away off the platform by Wind Blast. Everyone covered their eyes, blocking the effects of the smoke. As the smoke clears, they saw all 50 Esper Hunters on the floor.
The thugs were either shocked by Lightning Slash, stunned by Leaf's Stunning Shuriken Leaf, wet by Water's water ball, burnt by Fire and Light, or injured by Earth's and Wind's abilities. The remaining members were relief that they didn't fight him, including Benkei. Kyoya was impressed by Boboiboy's ability and at the same time mad by his member's defeat.
Gingka was smiling with joy, happy that they got the medicine they deserve. Touma was shocked by how much damaged he could cause… (he's also worried on interacting him in the future). Akira and Kenta were surprised by how powerful his ability can be. He could be a Level 5 or higher.
"So, we're done here?" Earth asked Kyoya. In the background, Leaf poked one injured thug with a stick.
Kyoya smile, happy with the result. "Yes, that's enough." Kyoya said, calling off the battle.
"Good." Leaf stop poking him and throw the stick away. All of them enter Earth's body, forming back into the original.
"Now's that taken care of, let's get the show on the road."
"Yeah." Gingka walked passed Boboiboy, who gave him a nod. He nods back, telling him he's ready for the fight.
Part 5
Gingka arrived on the big platform, staring at Kyoya. Kyoya smile as the wind blow Gingka's scarf. As Gingka fights for his friend's freedom, Kyoya was fighting to satisfy his need to crush the Pegasus Magician.
Without saying a word, Gingka immediately sprung into action. He pulled out his rune card from his jacket. From the card, a blue feather constructed itself into existence. The feather taking a shape of the sphere, and began floating around the leader of Esper Hunter in incompressible speed.
Taking note of the magic floating around, Kyoya smirked. He thrust him arm to the air, somehow making the area around him blurred. Gingka took a note of this, though he was unsure what Kyoya's next move is.
The two warriors facing off in the stalemate, not making any first move. Although Gingka's attack was still circulating, Kyoya was waiting Gingka to strike first. "Well, what's wrong, Gingka? Come on, then!" He taunts Gingka, seeing his opponent not making any moves.
"Not yet– gotta speed up more!" Gingka clenched his fist, speeding up the feather. When the feathers reached the maximum speed at which it could go, Gingka realized this. He decides to take the first move, "Now!" After a moment of shout, the ball head straight to Kyoya.
Before it could hit Kyoya, it was suddenly repelled by an invisible force, changing its direction to Gingka. Gingka and the others were surprised by the change of direction. Fortunately, Gingka had enough time to dodge it.
Pulling out another rune, Gingka attempt to use the same attack again. But just like last time, it only managed to repelled. "What just happened?"
On the other side, Kyoya was chuckling. Seeing Gingka's attack reflected by his Gale Storm, means he had the upper hand on winning. "You ain't seeing nothing yet!" Kyoya taunted once more.
Taking a deep breath, Kyoya lets out a loud, daunting shout, almost like a lion. A large burst of wind shot from around him, swirling it into a cluster of air. Gingka started to lift in the air and pull in. Touma, Boboiboy, and Akira felt the strength of the wind from their position.
'This wind…!' Boboiboy could feel the wind is stronger than Wind's, but not as strong as Cyclone's own wind.
Gingka used his rune to repelled himself from the wind, getting him enough distance. Gingka was out of breath, but he was still continue pulled in. Kyoya burst into laughter once more, feeling dominated over his opponent.
"Wise up, Gingka! You should've known what it takes to win a battle: your skills, your abilities, and how well you choose your location for the fight! Thinking of ridiculous things like friendship and your fighting spirit while forgetting the basic, that's your biggest mistake!" Kyoya snarled, his eyes are wild and savage-like as a lion.
"Ridiculous, huh?" Gingka clenched his fist.
"Not that information will help you anyway!" Kyoya mocked.
Not a moment after, the air around him begin to swirl instantly, growing more transparent. The pressure emanating from Kyoya increased in sync with the air around him as it swirled up into a spiral, reaching new heights. "This is what I called my special move: Lion Gale Force Wall!"
Then the air spiral into a tornado, pulling Gingka in. "Gingka!" Gingka got hit by the tornado, and sent flying to the air.
Kenta widened by what he'd just saw, "Gingkaaaa!" Kyoya smile at his victory as the Esper Hunters laughing at Gingka's lost.
"Looks like he won't be seeing the weather anytime soon." Benkei said. "Now it's your turn, cap!" He points at Boboiboy.
Boboiboy gritted his teeth and clenched his hand by this. He turned to Touma and he nods, "Good luck."
"Yeah." Boboiboy knew he won't be able to beat Kyoya with the first-tier elements, he decides to use second-tier against Kyoya. As he about to walk in, he noticed something coming down. He looks closer and was surprised by his view. "You know, maybe you should've look at the sky more."
They were confused by him, "The sky? What are you —?" He looked up and saw Gingka coming down without his scarf.
"I'm not defeated yet, Kyoya!" They were surprised that Gingka survived Kyoya's special move. He dived down to the platform, while riding Pegasus' back. He crashed down to Kyoya in blue streak, covered by intense, but pure aura. Kyoya reinforced his Lion Gale Force Wall, attempt stopping Gingka from coming down. But it didn't work as Gingka gets faster and faster as he's coming down.
"If I want to break the wall, guess I'll show you my special move! Pegasus Starblast Attack!" In a mere instant, Gingka overwhelmed the Esper with his Pegasus Starblast Attack. Kyoya gets hit by the attack, and sent flying to the rail.
Kyoya tried to get up, but was lost for the count. Gingka gets off Pegasus after landed on the platform.
All of Esper Hunters were horror by Kyoya's defeat, feeling defeat. They were so focused on him, Kenta managed to get off their grasp and run straight to Gingka.
"Gingka!" He hugs him, but Gingka was hurt by the hug.
"Ow–ow, careful, Kenta!" Gingka said, still feeling sore from the tornado.
"This is… impossible…!" Weakly, Kyoya muttered as he begin lifting himself off the floor. "My plan was flawless, unbeatable! Unless…" Then, it hit Kyoya. He realized when their fighting, there wasn't any confident in his ability against the King of Lions. "… you planned this from the very beginning?!"
With a slight chuckle, Gingka breaking from his hug with Kenta. The magician curved his lip into a toothy grin, confirming Kyoya's suspicion. "No matter how big the hurricane, the wind is always weak at the eye of the storm!" Gingka grinned.
"I see. You did it on purpose so you can attack Kyoya from above." Gingka nodded at Boboiboy, "Hehe, Terbaik (Awesome)." He gives him a thumbs up and Gingka appreciated it.
Meanwhile, the Esper Hunters goons managed to express their words on Kyoya's defeat.
"Did I just… see that?!"
"Either Kyoya-san's defeat was real, or my eyesight is messing with me?" Kyoya got up on his feet, starred daggers at Gingka.
"This isn't over yet, Gingka Hagane. I still have one more fight left!" He points to Boboiboy, telling him that Kyoya will be challenging him soon.
Boboiboy crossed his arms, "Sure, place your time and place. But don't pull my friends into this." He said, telling him that he will accept the challenge.
Without any words, a strong wind erupted from Kyoya's hand, causing Akira, Touma, and Boboiboy to shield their eyes. Gingka on the other hand stared on, the wind no longer hefty enough to force Gingka endure the power it give off. As the wind dissipated, not every one of Esper Hunters is present on the platform. Leaving only Gingka, Touma, Boboiboy, Akira, and Kenta on the Metal Tower.
On another building, the green-haired girl smiled at the result. "Those two… are very unique!" She felt excitement from Gingka's and Kyoya's battle. "This magician is very free and doesn't care about anything that stands in his way. On the other hand…"
She remembered that Boboiboy split himself into seven personalities. While everyone on the Metal Tower couldn't see due to the smoke, she could see the actions using her own eyes. "His personalities seem sync with each other. Though that's understandable considering they're the same person."
She turned to her right, seeing the view of the city. "Better get going before someone sees me." She jumped from building to building, leaving the scene.
Part 6
After the Metal Tower fight, they were staggered what should they do now. Boboiboy suggest we shouldn't tell Judgement or Anti-Skill about this. Even if they're law enforcement in Academy City, there are some things that are better left hidden. Touma support his decision, not wanting to be interrogating by Anti-Skill.
Gingka agreed with their decision on this. Akira and Kenta were the ones that they don't know if they should tell what Esper Hunters did. But they accept it anyways, since Kenta was rescued anyways.
Akira went split up with the group, telling them he needs meet up with some of his friends that he plans to meet him. They understand his decision, and Akira went to where the meeting is.
They walked around School District 7, looking at some shops. "Come on, guys! I don't need a scarf." Gingka tells him.
"But your old one got blown away, right? We can't have you going around without a scarf." Touma nodded, agreeing with Kenta.
"I had to agree with Kenta. I wouldn't go out without my cap for no reason." Boboiboy said.
Gingka sulked down by their response. He knows that the scarf was a gift, but he doesn't care if it's got blown away or lost it.
"Um…" They heard someone talking from behind Gingka, "are you looking for your scarf?" Gingka turned around and saw a college girl. She was wearing a yellow hoodie with a white and blue stripes shirt, blue skirt, and black shoes with long white socks. She has brown hair with grey eyes and wears glasses on her face.
"Wait, you have my scarf?" Gingka asked.
"Y-Yes! Your scarf landed near my tailor shop. Since I don't know who was the owner, I put it there." She managed to get words from her mouth, despite being shy around him.
"That's great! Can you show it to us?" She looked away.
"Eh… There's one problem." They were confused by her shy response.
Part 7
They went to the tailor shop located in School District 7, "I see. So that's what happened." They saw the scarf was torn in half.
She quickly bowed to Gingka, "I'm sorry! I was trying getting it down from a tree, but I accidentally–"
"D-Don't worry. I'm not mad about it." Gingka reassured her, trying to calm her down.
"Why not used a sewing machine? This is a tailor shop." Boboiboy said.
She gets her back up, looking down. "I would, but my sewing machine is broken."
"It got broken? Why haven't you gone fixing it, yet?" Touma asked.
"I… I don't know who to trust. My father told me that people from Academy City shouldn't take lightly. They're either a person who would do anything what they want, attention, or… myself."
"That's it? That's your reason for not fixing your sewing machine?" Touma said.
"I can't betray his words. My father is more important than anything in my life." After hearing the response, Touma walk towards her.
She started move away, scared of Touma. "T-Touma! What are you-?" Kenta was about to step in, but was stopped by Boboiboy.
"Hold on, Kenta. Don't barged in yet."
"But she's-!"
"Listen to what he says, Kenta." Gingka joins in, "We should see what he will say." Kenta felt useless again, feeling Touma will do something stupid.
The girl move backwards, trying to get away from Touma. "S-Stay away." She threw a pack of sewing needles at Touma. Touma gets hit on his left shoulder, but continues moving. "D-Don't come any closer!" She continue move back, until she hits a wall. "A-Ah!"
She saw Touma was close to her by 10 cm. Touma looked into her eyes, feeling something. She closed her eyes, thinking he was going to slap her. "Was your father a victim of Academy City?" She opened her eyes, surprised by his question.
"W-Why do you want to know? You're only a–"
"I know what I am, but I don't care." Touma cuts her off, "It doesn't matter what you father will be saying. Sure, he says that you shouldn't trust anyone from Academy City. But he didn't say anything about helping them."
The girl turned to Touma, who was still looking into her eyes. "You need to move on from your past, and continue chasing your dreams until the end. If you stop where you are, a part of you will be sad by your lost and left alone. What was the reason of opening a tailor shop? Money? Dreams? Anything?"
She lost for words on his talk, "I'm not saying that you're a useless who can't fight back. You're a talented girl who can create a better future in your own world and even maybe everyone's world."
She gripped her hands, "Stop… saying things… like that! You're not my father! Why do you care about my future?!"
"Do I need a reason on that?" Touma respond, "I don't need a reason to help people! If I don't do something, people will be in pain and their future will become ruined as a wasteland!" He gives out his right hand to her, "So, please. Trust us. You don't need to trust everyone in Academy City."
The girl seeing a different side of Touma. She thought that he was just some Esper that was greedy. But his speech made her realized that she shouldn't have judge them by its cover. After a moment, she took her hand. "All right, I'll trust you."
"Great. So, should we check your sewing machine?" She nodded and showed them her sewing machine.
As they looked at the sewing machine, the girl told them that it wasn't working for a month. Boboiboy turned into Boboiboy Light, surprising the girl. Light checks the sewing machine, and the gears inside. As he inspect it, the girl started a conversation with the others.
"Does his clothes always change color whenever he's using an ability?" She asked.
"Yeah, Boboiboy clothes always change color when he's using an ability." Kenta told her.
"Or the fact his personality keeps changing everytime." Touma added.
"Come think of it, we didn't get your name before we got here." Gingka told her.
She got embarrassed by her mistake, "I'm sorry! I forgot we only met now." She clear her throat, before introducing herself. "My name's Masu Takarra. Please to meet you."
"Please to meet you too." Touma as well the others responding to her greeting.
"Well, I think found the problem here." Light said, getting their attention. "Looks like some of the gears had been stuck after not moving for so long." He tells the problem, "Do we have any oil?"
Masu then comes forward, "Yes! I do have some oil in the back. I'll go get them." She went to the storage, looking for some oil.
Between The Lines 3
In an abandoned warehouse, Kyoya punched through a hole to one of the crates. He was feeling frustrated and anger by the fact he was beaten by Gingka in their first fight. "Damn it! I lost to that newbie! Someday, I will challenge him again soon!"
After getting some steam, he thought about his fight with Boboiboy. "Now for that cap kid. He seemed more dangerous than Gingka, considering he could match with him." He looked at his hands and gripped it. "I'm not powerful enough! I need to train."
He went to the exit, making plans for his train. "I better tell those guys something."
Outside, Kyoya gathers Benkei and any Esper Hunters that were near the warehouse. "Kyoya-san, is there a reason you call us?" Benkei asked.
He nodded, "I will be leaving Academy City for a month." They were shocked by his announcement.
"W-Why are you leaving?! Are you breaking up the Esper Hunters?!"
"No, it's about the fight with the cap kid." He gripped his hand, "Where I am right now, I'm not strong enough. I need to get out into the world, and fight anyone who is stronger." He turned to his group, "You guys make sure that the Esper Hunters will be kept in line once I'm gone. Understand?!"
They nodded on his command, "Yes!" But Benkei couldn't help but raised his hand.
"Is there anything else you would like to tell us?"
Kyoya turned their backs on them, "No, I don't. Just keep holding the fort until I'm back." Benkei started to tear, before he wiped them off his eyes.
"Got it! Just come back stronger, all right?" Kyoya waved his hand, as he leave the warehouse.
Benkei turned to the other hunters, "We know our orders, right?" They nodded in response. "Good, now let's get to work." They went to their groups, doing their tasks.
Part 8
Back at the tailor shop, Light poured the correct amount of oil to the gears. He closed it, feeling confident about it. "Good, try it." Masu turned on the sewing machine, and saw it was working correctly. "Mission Accomplished."
He quickly changed back into the original. Masu bowed to Boboiboy, grateful for his assistance. "Thank you."
"Don't worry. I was doing what I thought was right." Masu turned her attention to the scarf. She took the scarf and grabbed a white wool for fixing. She started the machine, beginning to fixed the scarf.
After 5 minutes, the scarf was fix. She hands it to Gingka, "Here, this is yours."
"Thank you!" He puts it on, feeling some familiarity with it.
"Great, so how much does it cost?" Boboiboy pulls out his wallet, checking his money.
"There's no need! Take it as a repayment!" She insisted on the pay.
"Are you sure? I feel like this is a robbery." Touma said.
Masu shook her head, "Don't worry. Besides, I like to thank you for convinced me that Academy City has some good people."
Touma scratched his head before sigh, "All right, we'll accept it."
She smile at the response.
Epilogue
After getting Gingka's scarf back, they head to Joseph's Coffee and Restaurant for some lunch. "So, what will you be guys be ordering?" Touma asked.
"I definitely go some burgers. Those were my favorites." Gingka said.
"I'll take on what on the menu… As long it's good to eat." Boboiboy was thinking on which food is Halal and which food is Haram.
"Maybe some fries for me. I don't like to eat foods that are expensive."
'I salute you, Kenta.' Touma does a salute in his mind, reminding him that he's broke and doesn't have a lot of money. As they arrived at the restaurant, Boboiboy couldn't help but wondered something.
'I wonder what's Kyoya up to.'
At Academy City International Airport, Kyoya was sitting on an airport seating with his traveling bag, waiting for his flight. Then he heard the ringing from the speaker, [Flight number AA8499; American Airlines, will be arriving shortly.]
"Time to go." He gets off his seating and takes his bag, heading to the plane. He walks passed a pale, skinny boy with red hair with a blonde streak running through the front of fringe.
His eyes are bright yellow. He wears a long blue shirt with a snake-scale pattern across the bottom of his shirt along with a scale pattern on the cuffs on the arms. His shirt is tied with a double-crossed dark brown belt. His jeans are black. A notable feature of his appearance is his snake eye styled hair clips.
