First and foremost a warning… this is darker than most if not all I have done before so be prepared. This is part one of a two part story, so enjoy.

*Erik Lensherr- Magneto

Charles, Erik, and Raven had been out looking for new mutants to be a part of their team when they first saw her. Raven had pointed her out to the boys in a night club in 1962, she could tell just by the way she moved that she was a mutant, eyes closed and dancing without a care. Charles approached her first but she wouldn't look at him, she wasn't interested in anything he had to say. It wasn't until Erik came up and placed his hands on her hips that she opened her eyes, she smiled coyly as she continued dancing slowly guiding him to a dark corner of the room. Once he was at the wall she roughly pushes him against it, holding him there with her body pressed to his and her hand to his throat.

She smiles as her blue eyes stare into his gray ones, "Who are you to me to think that you can touch me so freely?"

He offers an easy grin in return, despite her hand around his neck, "Forgive me, I am Erik Lensherr. My colleagues and I would like to discuss somethings with you." he slightly tilts his head to over her shoulder.

She turns to look at the other two, not releasing her grip on him, she scoffs, "Forget it, I'm not into four ways or other women." with that she drops her grip and backs up, turning to walk away.

Eric gabs her wrist, "It's not about that…"

She turns back around, claws out she grips his throat tighter this time, digging her claws in, "You would do well to stop touching me without my permission."

Charles rushes forward, "It's about business I swear."

"Yeah well I'm not in that kind of business, go find someone else."

Raven steps forward, "It's about your powers." Seeing the blue-eyed girl loosen her grip she continues. "We have them too, not the same as yours or anything but we have them as well."

"Prove it."

Raven smiles and changes her body to be identical to the other girls. The blue-eyed girl looks her up and down before moving her eyes to Charles, he raises his hand to his temple, "My name is Charles and that man your holding is Erik. Could you put him down so we can go somewhere and talk about this please?" the voice echo's in her mind. Dropping her grip again she looks at Erik as he runs his hand over his slightly bleeding neck, his eyes still locked on hers.

"What can you do?"

With a turn of his eyes and a wave of his hand the metal hand railing comes out from the wall and grips her by the wrists and her waist, pulling her flush with the wall behind her.

None of them were expecting her smile at that, "You know it's been decades since I've been held in this position." Putting force into her right arms she pulls her wrist free and uses that hand to free her other hand and waist. Stepping back up to them she looks Erik over, "If you're going to use metal to hold someone down either create more than three points of contact or use two bigger pieces to strap their arms to their chest then strap them down." she turns looking back to Charles, "Where would you like to go to discuss this business?"

"We, um, we have a hotel suite we can go and discuss this in."

She looks them all three over again, eyes lingering on Erik, "Fine, we can take my car." Leading them out of the club she walks down the street to a red 1952 Cadillac convertible. She looks up at them before getting in, "If you break anything in here I won't hesitate to kill you. Erik you're in the front seat."

Charles and Erik share a look before switching seats, Charles finally looks up at her, "Can I ask why you wanted him in the front?"

She gives him a sideways glance, "Because I don't trust him behind me."

Erik smirks, "Should I take that as a complement?"

She starts driving the car down the road, "No, you should take the fact that I haven't killed you yet as one."

With that the car ride remains silent for all except the directions Charles gives from the back seat. Once they pull up to the hotel she parks the car and grabs a bag from the trunk before following the others in. Raven watches her look around defensively as she continues to follow them through the lobby once in the elevator she immediately places herself along the back wall watching the others relax for the ride up. When the elevator stops she waits for them all to get out before she follows suit. Erik unlocks the room before holding the door open for the rest, she just watches him while going through the door.

Once in the room the eyes her surroundings before reexamining the people in the room with her, she looks over Charles and Raven quickly before letting her eyes wander over Erik. Locking eyes with him as he does the same to her.

She gives him a dirty look, "I said I wasn't in that kind of business."

"And you assume that I am?"

"Yes." She smirks as his smile wavers, "It has been my experience that men like you typically have to pay for the company of the opposite sex."

"Then you must not have a lot of experience with that."

"You have no idea the kind of experience with things, that included."

Charles steps in between them, "Miss would you like to sit down so we could discuss business? I've just ordered tea so it should be here momentarily."

She looks at him, "I would like to change clothes first if you don't mind."

"Of course not, Raven can show you to a room you can change in." with that Raven gets up and leads her to a room down the hall.

"This is my room while we're here, you can use it."

"Thank you, Raven was it?"

"Oh yes, sorry," she steps forward and extends her hand, "I'm Raven."

The girl shakes her hand, "I'm Kagome." With that she opens the bag and digs out a pair of jeans, sliding off her boots and mini skirt she looks back up at Raven, "So tell me, do you trust those boys?"

Raven looks confused at the term boys but nods her head, "Yes, I do, I'm fairly certain that I owe them both my life."

Kagome nods as she puts her pants on, stuffing her skirt back in the bag, "So if you don't mind my asking, what do you really look like?"

Raven looks surprised, "What makes you think I don't normally look like this?"

"To be honest, your edges are blurry." Seeing Ravens confused look she explains. "I see you but the edges where you end are blue, it's like someone drew you on paper and where you were drawn in colored pencil your outline was drawn in blue crayon. Does that make any sense?"

"Um, yes, I think." She looks down at herself and transforms into her original skin, "I am blue."

Kagome smiles, "You're beautiful. This look suits you better."

"I'm blue how is that better suited?"

Kagome just shrugs, "Trust me, I've seen far worse, and they didn't have an option of changing their skin, but I understand if you don't get it. They were hundreds of years ago."

Raven just looks at her, "Exactly how old are you?"

Kagome smiles, "462. Now since you said you trust the boys I figure I should too, how about we get back to them?"

Raven pauses for a minute and shakes her head, changing her form back, "Wait what about your shoes?"

"Screw the shoes, I'm just glad I can finally start wearing pants again, come on Raven. If they want me that badly they won't mind that I'm not wearing them. Besides Charles seems too uppity I need to lower him down a few levels. He's too proper."

Raven smiles at that and follows her out, "You may be right about that."

Smiling both girls come walking back down the hallway, Charles and Erik both just look at each other.

"It seems that they have bonded."

Kagome smiles from the door way, "That's right Charley, we've been changing cloths and telling secrets, you should be afraid."

Both he and Erik look her over, "Where are your shoes, I know you had some on when you went back there. Wait whose Charley"

"You are, I've decided that you need to loosen up, you're going to age yourself early if you keep up how you are. And I do have shoes but I wanted to see your reaction to me not wearing them, I'm glad to say I've made the right choice."

Erik smiles, "So what's changed, you almost seem like a completely different person then a few minutes ago?"

Kagome looks at him again, letting her eyes roam over his form, "I spoke with Raven and I have decided to trust you, well, I've decided to trust him, you I'm still not so sure about."

He locks eyes with her, "And how can I get you to trust me like that?"

She breaks eye contact and looks over to Raven, who nods at her, she sits down and sighs looking up to make eye contact again, "Almost 250 years ago I was captured and sold into what would now be called a prostitution ring, many of the men who took part in those… activities have the same air about them that you do. So forgive me for not being so trusting and forth coming with you."

"And that's why you don't like me touching you."

"No, I don't like anyone touching me, your touch just ignites feelings that I haven't felt in a long time."

He was about to say something else before Charles interrupted, "Wait, so exactly how old are you?"

She sighs again as she drags her eyes off of Erik and onto Charles, "Now, now, didn't your mother ever tell you that it's impolite to ask a women her age?" smiling at his discomforted face, "I'm 462." Giving them a moment for that to sink in. "So exactly what business do you have to discuss with me?"

Charles looks at Erik before looking back to her, "We are building a team to stop a war."

Kagome leans forward, "How many members do you already have?"

"Eight, so you would be the ninth."

"And who would be backing this little group of yours?"

Charles looks back up to Erik as Erik answers, "The team is being funded by the government."

Kagome gets up, leaving her tea on the table, and walks over to the bar pouring herself a drink before downing it and pouring another, "So let me get this straight." She turns back about to face the others, "The people that would sooner kill us for being different then welcome us for doing things that they can't even fathom. Need us to build ourselves a team and stop a war, that they would all surely die in, and have us more than likely kill ourselves in the proses."

"I don't think you have enough faith in them." Charles states looking up at her.

"Bullshit." she takes another drink, "That's fucking bullshit and you know it." ignoring his mumbles about langue she continues, "Let's look at some previous examples shall we. The war ended 17 years ago and I still get stupid lines from half of the people that I talk to, or we can look further back then that slavery ended almost a hundred years ago and they're still segregated. Look I know that this would be a noble cause for us as a group and everything but it will only play out well for you and Erik. And that's if this actually works and they don't cover it up making people believe that one of their own groups did it."

Erik smirks, "She does have a point Charles. These people aren't ready for anything new."

"Yes, but you have to have faith."

"Do you know when the last time I had faith was?" she pauses looking at everyone in the room, her eyes lingering on Erik as she spoke, "I had faith in 1715 in what's now London, when an officer of their police force stumbled upon the ring. Do you know what he did? He looked at us with disgust before picking out which one of us he wanted. I can honestly tell you that I didn't know I had claws until that day."

Raven waits a minute before asking, "What happened?"

"Apparently I put up more of a struggle then he was accustom to, he hit me, and the next thing I know I've got claws were my nails should be and where he was on the mattress was left in ribbons. I tracked down each person that were holding us in after before letting the other girls go. From what I heard the only evidence they found from the missing cop were his hat and badge, they say he was attacked by a ravage animal. So you may have to give my faith a little slack it hasn't been used in a while." The room is quite for a minute as they all take in what she said.

Erik catches her eyes again, "Then put your faith in us. Be a member of our team and let us earn your faith and trust."

She scoffs, "Do you honestly still want me?"

"Yes." He doesn't miss a beat as he walks over to stand in front of her. "You have a good head and years of experience in how things work in the real world, the team could use someone like that. And to be honest you could probably be more help with guidance and training then all three of us put together. Let us earn your trust." he adds in a lower voice, "Let me earn your trust."

And that's it for part one. Who's excited for part two?
