*Oliver Queen- Green Arrow

She had always been there for him, especially when he and Dinah were off again, in there on again off again romance. Putting up with him when no one else would, and she knew, she knew his secret and still stood by him through thick and then. Even going so far as to help him target his skills for an urban environment, she made sure he was focusing on the right things and taking care of himself. He was convinced that she was sent to Star City to help with his crime fighting goals.

They met three years ago, he had been on patrol when he came upon a mugging. At least he thought it was a mugging until she laughed at her would be attacker and knocked the big guy flat on his ass. He laughed so hard that he had to come out from where he was hiding, he was even more surprised when she confronted him about hiding in dark alleys wearing a mask like he was an assailant as well. Apparently she was new to the city and hadn't heard about the city's masked vigilantly, she then gave him a lecture about how if the city was so dangerous he needed to be more careful with who he spoke with. For the second time that night he laughed until she told him exactly how he had let his guard down and how she could have used it against him. Before actually knocking him on his ass, when he was down she started laughing as well, still smiling she offered him a hand up.

Parting ways shortly after that they didn't meet each other again till a few weeks later. He was attending a political party when he saw her standing across the room, they immediately locked eyes. She rose an eyebrow and that was all he needed to know that she knew, walking towards her he was intercepted by his mother introducing a soon-to-be business associate with him. Luck however seemed to be on his side because the associate called her over, introducing her as his sister before distracting his mother with a conversation about the city.

She smiles and whispers, "And just like that the masked hero has a face and a name."

He takes her arm, reminding himself to be gentle, leading her to a secluded corner, "How do you know that?"

Rolling her eyes, "Oh please, it was easy. Same eyes, same aura," she trails her eyes over him, "same build. It's not like you really made it hard. Plus you laughed earlier, if I didn't know before that it solidified it. Besides it's not like I'm going to tell anyone, I don't exactly have friends here, and the only conversations people want to have with me are the men that think I'm stupid and desperate enough to want to sleep with them."

"What makes you think I can trust you?"

"What makes you think you can't?"

"I don't."

Shrugging she turns around and walks away, "Then don't, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it." He spent the rest of the night watching her as she avoided him and sticking close to her brother.

A few night later he and Dinah had gotten into an argument and broken up again so he went out to patrol. She had taken the subway home that night after going to spar with her brother, she was still wearing her workout leggings and a tank when she finally got off at her stop. Two blocks away from her apartment a group of guys leaving a club saw her, shaking her head as they try to crowd her into a corner ally she lets them think they have the upper hand. From the roof top of the next building he fired his first arrow catching the group's attention as she uses their distraction to land punches and kicks on the others. After a few minutes the ones that could still walk dragged their friends away, leaving the two archers together laughing.

She smiled and thanked him for his help before turning to continue walking home, he offered to walk her the rest of the way so she politely invited him in for coffee. They began talking and he saw her own bow set, she even gave him some pointers about closer firing and ways to use the bow in hand-to-hand combat. Eventually their conversation shifted from bows and fighting to life and relationship problems. He told her about Dinah and their relationship while she listened and told him some tips to get her back, even telling him that if he ever needs anything he can come to her. That night he left just before sunrise.

A few months later they had set up a sort of schedule, he would come to her place after patrol two or three nights a week and they would talk and train. He even trusted her enough to show her the Arrow cave and meet the team. The rest of the team was not so happy that they had never heard of her but they grew to like her and she helped them make things faster and easier for the whole team.

Everything had been going great until one night he and Dinah had broken up again so he went to her to talk. She told him all would be fine after he blew off his steam and wasn't angry anymore, she started to spar with him only this sparing match didn't end how the others have. Sometime in the middle of the fight he turned from angry to aroused, they didn't even make it out of her training area before they were calling out each other's name. He wasn't soft or gentle but she understood that that was what he needed. The morning after he came to see her and apologize for how he handled everything, she just smiled and shrugged it off claiming that it was normal for training to go that far sometimes.

He tried to forget that it happened until it happened again a week later, they kept it up for a few weeks before he and Dinah got back together. She seemed to understand and still remained the same towards him. They both moved past it. Six months later they were off again so she accepted him into her bed again without too much thought.

Now here he is, in her bed as she sleeps peacefully next to him, asking himself how he ever got lucky enough to have someone accept him so wholeheartedly with no judgment about if he stays with her or goes to someone else. She's just glad to fill the hole in his heart whenever he needs her and right now he needed her.

He needed Kagome.
