Steven was stunned. 'Peril thought that way about mom?', he thought. 'She is telling Connie to- ' He took a second to process "I have to stop this," then he jumped to end training.

"- I am nothing," Connie said. His worst nightmare, she was prepared to fight to the death. She didn't care about herself. The full feeling of the fight flashed in front of him. This is why he was hesitant to tell Connie, NO-No-no!

Fog is everywhere down there. He was shaking, but he went in. In front of him Connie was fighting, he tried to reach but in the fog she went. He tried to say something but a desperate"Connie"came out. She heard him but he went the wrong way, thinking it was her mind, she went back to fight a bot-pearl.

Steven was spiraling, her words ringing, 'I am nothing.' He was confused. He wondered if it was his fault. Did he make her feel like nothing? He thought 'But she's amazing, awesome, nice, I'm a monster If I make her feel like that' he searched for her, his thoughts only worse and worse, slowly the sound of his sobs grew, faintly being heard by Connie.

'Steven?' she thought. She shrugged it off, it being her mind, 'Of course Steven is what I hear, he is most important' She went to find Pearl. Soon her outfit showed, her pale face and pointed nose came out of the fog, and the fight began. Posture wide, down low, she was ready for this. The sudden clang of swords came, breaking apart, then joining again in different angles, and again the noise pierce the fog.

'Finally' thought Steven. He found them, their swords forcing the fog away 'Pearl' His face turned red, he pulled his shield and ran.

Pearl saw Steven and was shocked as he slammed the side of his shield at her, and it hurt. She stepped back, Connie asked, "Steven? What are you doing?"

" What were you doing?!"Asked Steven, Pearl was calm and composed herself from the shock of seconds ago.

" I was merely teaching Connie-" Pearl said before the side of the shield came back.

Steven yelled,"No! All of this, The words 'I am nothing' what is wrong with you?! Connie is amazing, and no one should make her feel less than that! You've been setting up these awful words in her head, that she fights for me, that she serves me! Connie is amazing, and-and-" Steven fell to the floor and sobbed. The shield hit Pearl's check and tore a deep cut before it faded away.

Connie went to him," Are you okay?!" She looked at him, his cloths, his hair, his-

" Do-do- Do I make you feel like nothing?" He asked. 'Oh crap!' Popped in Connie's head.

"No! You're everything to me, I'm only human, and this is the only thing I can give you!" Connie begged. Steven shouldn't feel upset- NO-No-no.

"You give me advice on what books to read, someone to talk to, a friend, you're so amazing, I love you! And you call yourself nothing, do you think I'm nothing? My emotions are nothing? That one of the people I care about most is nothing?" Steven asked.

"NO! No-no-no-no" Connie said immediately. She was panicking! That isn't what she meant!

"Then never say that again!" Steven said, grabbing Connie's hand.

" Where are we going?" Connie asked.

"Away from her, to Rose's room okay?!" Steven said. Connie nodded, because that's what she believes she's supposed to do.

Pearl stood there, she'd angered Steven. She didn't know what to do. So she waited to apologize, but it never came. Steven wouldn't talk to her at all, Connie because of her mistake would listen only to Steven and they both went in that room to do who-knows-what and when she left, she ignored Pearl.

Pearl had no clue what to do. Steven hated her! Hated! She asked Garnet but they couldn't get in that room and, talking took two parties. Steven was never willing to talk.

She felt like a monster, she hoped that she'd be forgiven soon. The only two people Steven had really talked to about this were Connie, and Amethyst, who was willing not to say a word back to Pearl or Garnet. Gosh, Pearl felt so much guilt, should have listened to Garnet about the consequences back then.

When the tried to understand what was going on it started an argument, "Steven's friend has to face long-term consequences to your training, Steven is trying his best,I'm trying my best too! You guys wouldn't help!"

Garnet calmly asks," Why would my assistance worsen the situation?"

Amethyst was calmer but blunt in her answer,"Anything by you could be taken the wrong way, your a fusion, literal embodiment of a relationship, her understanding of a healthy relationship is tarnished, maybe later, but your could accidentally plant seeds in her mind, because now she is more loyal to Steven then she is loyal to anyone, herself, her parents, her dreams, It's all comes second to Steven, and he is scared," Amethyst left tiredly. She grew a small smile that she was trusted the most by Steven at the moment.

'Gosh, this is a mess' Pearl thought. 'Rose's last creation hates me,' tears fell down her face, 'I have ruined everything'
