As I was writing this I decided that I don't always want Kagome on the good side but I do like how short and sweet this has come out. So I will be doing another story with the same people just on opposite playing fields. I'm excited, anyway back to the stories!

As always I own nothing.

They met at one of Bruce Wayne's galas neither realizing that they had been watching each other all night before Bruce actually broke down and introduced them.

She was beautiful, he couldn't deny that, but it was her laugh that got his attention she laughed like the entire world had something to be happy for, like the dark world he tried to protect at night would always open up to the sunshine in the morning. Just from that one spark he felt a desire to keep that sun light shining for as long as he could.

After the introduction conversation remained light as he asked her to dance. One dance lead to two and two lead to three, by the end of the night he realized he happily spent most of his time with her and would gladly do it again. He explained what he did and she described how she recently moved there and started working as a doctor for Wayne Enterprises. Not wanting the night to end he offered her a ride home which she accepted and extended an invitation inside for coffee.

He didn't leave until 4a.m. with the promise of lunch the following day. They progressed from casual lunches to fancy dinners then to late night diner runs between shifts. Six months later he takes time off to go on holiday with her in Japan, eight months after that he proposes.

Then things start to get bumpy, a new criminal comes to town. For his first big act he kidnaps her, twice, after the second time he promises not to mess with her again as The Batman stops her from beating him. Although he's happy that she's safe he can't help but think things like that are always going to happen to her. Imagine his surprise when she agrees with him and sits him down to tell him about her past.

That cools him off long enough for the wedding to be prepared and the honeymoon enjoyed before things start happening again.

Now ten years down the road he still agrees that she's the sunshine in his days and even Gotham City villains know better than to go after Mrs. Kagome Gordon.
