Sorry everyone I'm trying to get my life together, it's just a super long process. Anyway, hopefully I'm back and you all enjoy this little bit.

It all started with a note. More specifically a note sent home with Damian from one of his teachers asking for a parent to meet them.

Walking into the school just as the last bell rings he is almost instantly swarmed by children of varying ages. Looking around for the right door he walks toward that direction.

"Father."

He stops and looks down at the boy the voice came from. "Yes."

"I didn't think you were really going to come. It's probably just a waste of time, that teacher is strange."

"Well," he looks at the door then back to the boy, "Strange or not they did ask to see me and it's only polite to come see your children's teachers."

The boy scoffed, "Yeah, like you've had to do this with the others."

"That's not the point. The car is outside why don't you wait for me there while I take care of this."

"Yes father." The boy turns to leave as the man turns towards the classroom door.

Knock. Knock.

A soft "come in," was spoken on the other side of the door signaling for him to enter. Stepping in he closes the door behind him and examines the woman behind the desk. Her hair was pulled up in a ponytail while her clothing, a black pencil skirt and red sweater, met the professional dress code while also managing to be laid back.

Pulling all the days papers together she briefly glances up at her guest before looking back down to make sure she has it all, "May I help you with something sir?"

"I should hope so, yes. You sent a note home asking that I come see you."

She pauses to think before looking back up at him, "Aw yes, you must be Damian's father," she sets the papers down and gives him her full attention, "Mr. Wayne isn't it?"

"It is."

"My apologies, I'm still fairly new here and I don't believe I met you at the back to school night." Smiling she steps out from behind the desk with her hand out in greeting, "I'm Miss Higurashi, Damian's history teacher."

He shakes her hand, "I'm Bruce, his father. I was aware they hired a few new instructors, but I didn't realize Damian got a new one."

"Yes, well, I hope that does cause you to form any negative opinions about my class."

"I'm sure it won't, now let's get down to business. What is this about exactly? Has he been acting out in any way?"

"Oh, no, no he has not. Quite the contrary actually he is one of my better-behaved students." Smiling she leans on the edge of her desk, "And he understands the material better than everyone else in the class."

"However?"

"However, he seems to have a rather short fuse with his peers." She quickly jumps back up and waves her hands, "He hasn't acted on anything for caused any problems. I'm only worried because he seems to internalize his feeling and I just want to make sure he isn't acting out at home or leaving it pent up. Have you noticed any of this, is any of it out of the ordinary for him?"

"He has been like this since I picked him up from his mother and grandfather, so it is not necessarily unusual for him."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude on your personal life, I just didn't realize that you and his mother were separated. But I have seen children act like Damian is in separation cases."

He smirks at her hurried apology before leaning on one of the desks behind him, "His mother and I were never together."

"Aw, I apologize again for my assumption," her face turns red as she looks everywhere but at Bruce before taking a breath and coming back to him, "Let's go back to Damian, shall we?" he smirks again but nods for her to continue, "I don't mean to pry but does he have an outlet at home, something to let him get his anger out?"

"He does."

"Okay, good. Great. I just wanted to make sure he had a healthy release; it's not good for people his age, or for any age at that matter, to have so much pent up emotion all the time. Even with a lid a pot of water can still boil over if left alone. Again, not that you leave him alone or anything. I'm just making sure he is getting his release. I would feel slightly guilty if he didn't and it led to him wanting to play super hero with some of the other people in this city." She gets a far away look on her face before turning back to him, "Anyway, sorry to call you down here for something that isn't truly serious, I have heard that you are a busy man, so I won't keep you any longer." Stepping forward she shakes his hand again, "Thank you for coming in to see me on such short notice, I appreciate it Mr. Wayne."

Smirking he holds her hand a few seconds longer than necessary, "Please call me Bruce, and thank you for making sure this was brought to my attention Miss Higurashi."

"Please call me Kagome, it was a pleasure to finally meet you."

"It was a pleasure meeting you as well, Kagome, please don't hesitate to call me again." He reaches in his pocket and takes out his card. "This is my personal number if you like to further discuss anything."

Her cheeks flush as she slowly takes the card from him, "I don't think it will be too much of an issue, but I will keep you in the loop if anything does come up."

"I appreciate that, and I look forward to our next meeting." He walks back to the door looking back once more before turning the handle, "Enjoy the rest of your day Kagome."

Her cheeks are still red as her turns to leave, "Have a good day Bruce."

He walks back to the car sliding in to the seat he looks other to Damian with a smirk.

"I told you she was strange, although by that look you also found her attractive." Damian frowns, "What did she want?"

"She is worried about your pent-up anger, but I told her you have outlets for it."

"So, it was a pointless meeting."

"Not entirely," Bruce looks over and raises a brow, "I may need you to act out in class." He smiles as he begins the drive home.

Damian looks at him with a raised brow, "Father, you are ridiculous."

So tell me what you think and I hope, but no promises, that I try to keep this up.

Please RR&R and I will talk to you laters. J
