AUTHOR'S NOTE (3/27/2023):

Yo guys! This is a little bit of a "lore dump" for the upcoming chapter. It's a kind of "diegetic storytelling" trick I'm trying out using the Bureau's documentation style.

Believe it or not, there's actually an image I drew for Milly's file, though since FanFiction doesn't support them, you can't see it here :,(

However, you can see the image on the SpaceBattles and Sufficient Velocity versions of this story! I can't really put a link here, and the ones in my profile don't seem to be working, so if you really want to see said image, I'll make a link aggregation page so you can access all versions of the story at once! Let's hope that'll work on my profile instead. XD

Enjoy this short chapter! Let me know what you think! I might do smaller chapters like this in between the longer ones just to mitigate the content drought a little.

PARANATURAL ACTIVITY
The subject has demonstrated traits similar to the Corrupted Hiss Agents during the Hiss Invasion a few years ago. However, she shows no signs of disfigurement or skin discoloration like previous Hiss Corrupted Agents have displayed. She is remarkably similar to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ post-awakening, though seems to be controlled by multiple entities at once, including struggling with discerning the subject's own free will from their violent intrusive thoughts brought upon by the warping of her mind while possessed.

Paranatural activity is speculated to have begun between ▇▇▇▇ and April 15th. It is not known when the subject was initially possessed, but it is thought that the possession was not forced, rather it was the subject's choice, and that the Hiss may have made several attempts at contact with the subject before a successful possession.

The subject retains several abilities from multiple of the previous Hiss-based entities fought against during the Hiss Invasion. Telekinesis, levitation, spatial manipulation, ▇▇▇▇▇▇, memory alteration, and a limited form of shapeshifting of its own body (mainly in the sharpening of nails into needle-like claws and more recently, her physical age). Again, very similar to ▇▇▇▇▇▇'s abilities upon their reawakening. However, the subject has attained a very new and deadly ability, the ability to sire its own corrupted Hiss entities. It has corrupted at least a dozen members of Paris law enforcement. This ability is most seen through the subject's plush teddy bear, which can be commanded to defend the subject without question. We believe the toy may be sentient.

COURSE OF ACTION
It has become imperative that we classify this new kind of Hiss-based entity as something distinct from the previous Hiss-tainted creatures the Bureau has encountered in the past. We have separated the Hiss into three types: Hiss Corrupted, Hiss Spawn, and Hiss Possessed. For a more detailed description of these new typings, refer to ▇▇▇▇▇▇. We are still not certain of the status of the subject's mental state, whether or not the subject's true subconscious has been fully reigned in. There have been times when the original personality - herein referred to as "Milly" - has fronted during times of high stress or in the vicinity of people Milly cares about or has deep feelings for. Therefore we should make a more psychological counterattack to weaken or confuse the subject enough for capture or immediate termination. It is unknown if cleansing Milly is possible, as Director Faden was unable to do the same with ▇▇▇▇▇, but the Bureau will do what it must maintain order.

Powerful amnestics are currently being prepared to be administrated to immediate friends and family in the event of the subject's termination.

CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES
Operations have yet to come out with a final course of action. With the Director currently in urgent care, we may not get an answer soon. Please refer to further supplementary documents for updates on a decision and future developments.

Supplement A-1

Operations have authorized immediate termination of the subject, deeming it too dangerous to contain within the Panopticon. Preparations are being made to quarantine the campus of Kadic Academy after its student body and staff have been evacuated. It is unlikely the Director will be able to return to duty to aid on this mission in her current state. Further precautions will be taken to ensure the Director's safety in future encounters. A secret mobile task force stationed in or nearby campus is currently being discussed and considered to aid the Director in future Altered World Events and Paracriminal encounters. Further combative training for the Director is currently being discussed, along with current investigations launched concerning the reliability of the Service Weapon, the inactivity of The Board, and familial interference impacting rash decision-making.

Supplement A-2

Mobile Task Force Kaiser has reached the academy and has begun reporting dangerous levels of hostile resonances - most likely Hiss-based - contained strictly within the campus grounds. Kadic Academy has been officially recognized as a Place of Power, far less significant than The Oldest House, but significantly anomalous enough. At this time, it shows no anomalous properties of its own. The new HRAs are being used and have proven to be highly effective in warding off these new Hiss resonances. Considering the HRAs are still active gives credence to the Director's quick recovery, though nothing is certain at this time. MTF Kaiser has been ordered by Head of Investigations to remain hidden and prepare for an Entropic Quarantine of the entire campus grounds.

Supplement B-1

Because of discoveries concerning the Hiss' sudden resurgence outside of The Oldest House, we have had reason to conclude that the Hiss may not be as powerful as it once was, and might be collaborating with one or more paranatural entities in a plot to regain the powers it lost after being destroyed by former Director Faden. Who these entities might be remains to be a mystery.
