James Howlett (Logan)

The day had started much like any other day in the mansion, loud and causing him to want a smoke. However, it was an exciting day for they were getting a new professor. Wheels told him she was a long time friend of his but Logan didn't think too much on that.

It had been just after lunch when he smelled something familiar, like it held secrets from his past trying to get him to remember. The invitation to Charles's office came as no surprise a few minutes later.

Walking into the room he moves away from Scott before looking at the new comer. She had her back to him so he took a second to enjoy the look of her ass in the jeans she's wearing before moving up her body as she turns around.

She was smiling, at least until she saw him, her smile dropped before being replaced with an even bigger smile.

"James!" she all but shouted before jumping into his arms, "Oh kami I've missed you so much. I thought I'd never see you again, I've been searching so long."

He barely moved from his surprise as the other's all look at each other.

She leans back with a frown as Charles speaks up, "Logan, this is Kagome Higurashi."

"Howlett." she corrected quickly looking confused. "Logan?"

Charles speaks up again, "That's the name he's been going by here. It appears we have a lot to discuss."

"Listen, I don't know you and I don't know who James is either." he scoffs, "You must have me mixed up with somebody else."

"I mean it's been a few decades but I'm fairly certain I know who my husband is."

For a moment no one in the room breathed as they processed that information.

Logan gets a hard look, "What did you just say?"

Kagome looks up in his eyes, "I said, it's been a few decades but I know who my husband is. Why do you look so confused? Charles, what's wrong with him?"

"Something had been done to him to cause him to loose his memories."

Logan let's out a growl, "Stryker did experiments on me. That's all I know."

She looks him over, "What kind of experiments? What did William do to you?"

He jumps into action grabbing her and pushing her into the wall with his blades at her throat. "How do you know his name!"

"Oh Kami." she stares in wonder and sadness before bringing her hand up to his blades. "What did they do to you?"

Growling, "If you know him you should know what he did to me."

"All I know is that he took you and the team out on a mission and you never came home. You always called to tell me you were okay and that time you didn't." Her eyes get sad, "You really don't remember do you?" Still against the wall she looks at Charles, "I don't understand how his memory is gone with his healing abilities."

"Logan, she doesn't know anything else. You can release her."

Slowly he lets her go, as he does she brings her hands up to catch his. Examining his hand she starts to tear up.

He snorts, "It's not worth tears, you can stop crying. It was years ago."

"I know. I should have been there with you. We could have gotten through it together. I'm so sorry I wasn't there."

"It wouldn't have mattered I still don't remember you."

"Logan!" Charles looks at him chidingly.

"It's fine Charles, I wasn't there, I don't know what he has gone through. I deserve it."

Charles sighs, "If your memory serves correct you were with him for decades before that so you certainly don't deserve it now."

"So she isn't lying?"

"No Logan, she is your past and your wife." he looks at the other professors, "Why don't we wait till tomorrow for anymore introductions." They all nod and begin to leave. Charles looks back at the two, "Lets sit down and discuss what this means for us all."

Kagome nods and sits as Logan huffs and leans against the wall.

"James..." she sighs, "Logan. Please don't close yourself off. I understand that this will be hard but I would like to get through it with you. You don't know what all I've gone through in the past either."

"Do you really think that this will help me remember you?" Logan asks sarcastically as he lights a cigar.

Turning to face him she raises an eyebrow, "This isn't about remembering me, it's about you getting to know you. And I will understand if you want nothing to do with me after but at least get to know who you are."

"Fine. What do you know?"

She smirks and glances at Charles before beginning. "You were born James Howlett in 1832, by all definitions you were a typical kid of the time. In 1845 you learned of your mutations, although your claws were just bone then, your mother kicked you out so you and your friend Victor ran throughout the continent growing and fighting in the wars. I met you in 1968 on a military base, I was in the nurses corps at the time. You and I were basically inseparable after that. We got married in January of 1972 and you left for Vietnam shortly after. From there you met William Stryker and became a member of his team."

"What was the team for?"

"I honestly don't know, you would always refuse to tell me anything, you said that you didn't want it to haunt the both of us. You left the team after a few years but they had convinced you to rejoin in 1983. That was the last time I saw you, I've been looking for you ever since. I never believed that they could kill you, I just didn't know for sure."

"So I'm like 180, 190, and how old are you?"

"I am 527, you always said I was responsible because I was so old."

"And was I right?"

"For the most part yes, but you always had the ability to bring out my irresponsible side."

"How?"

Her cheeks turn a light pink,"Lets just say that we had very active endeavors in lots of places we shouldn't have."

"And what's your story? How are you so old?"

"Well I wasn't in the beginning I was actually born in 1991 I just had a longer time getting here than everyone else." insert Inuyasha story. "After discovering that the well closed I decided to travel around and use my abilities wherever people needed the most help."

"So what are you doing here?"

She smiles, "I am here to teach meditation, assist in the infirmary, and maybe help on missions when needed." frowning she looks at him, "However if you would like me to leave I will."

He huffs, "Ya ain't got to leave. Clearly Wheels thinks we need you."

Frowning she nods, taking it as Logan would rather not see her. "Okay, on that note, I guess I will go find my room and get settled."

Moving to get up Logan stops her at the door, "You'll be in my room with me." he states bluntly.

Kagome looks up at him than at Charles. Charles just nods, "Logan will help you settle in and it will give you both the chance to reconnect again.

Kagome looks back up at Logan again, "Thank you."

Shrugging he huffs, "Don't thank me just yet I'm different now then I was."

"Different isn't always a bad thing. Different can be learned."

There you have another chapter and it wasn't like pulling teeth.
