I still own nothing.

*Bruce Wayne

It had been a month since he met her, Damian's new teacher. A quiet and uneventful month for the public side of his life. And here he was at a Wayne Enterprise board meeting when his personal phone rings.

Not recognizing the number he politely excuses himself momentarily.

"Wayne."

"Yes. Hello Mr. Wayne this is Miss Higurashi, Damian's history teacher."

"Give me one moment," he pulls the phone down and turns to address the board members, "I apologize, however, I need to cut this meeting short. My assistant will get with you all about rescheduling. With that he walks out and into his office, shutting the door behbehind him.

"I apologize Miss Kagome, what was it you needed to speak to me about? Has Damian done anything?"

"Well, yes and no. He is still behaving and doing well in class. But, I currently have one Mr. Peanut the squirrel in a box on my desk."

Bruce's eyes go wide, "He didn't."

He could hear her smiling through the phone, "Yes, well, unfortunately he brought him in his backpack and Mr. Peanut made the great escape in class. I didn't involve the principal however I was hoping that you or Mr. Pennyworth could come and retrieve him."

"Give me 20 minutes and I will be there."

"Yes Sir, we're in free period now so we will be waiting."

~~~some 20 minutes later~~~

He knocks on the classroom door.

"Come in."

Looking up from her seat behind the desk watching the box move she smiles up at the man. "Hello Mr. Wayne." getting up and coming around to shake his hand, "Mr. Peanut and I thank you for getting here quickly."

"Please call me Bruce. And I apologize for this.. incident... I will speak to Damian and make sure it doesn't happen again. However I am glad that it was just... Mr. Peanut who came to visit"

"Oh. Does Damian have many other animals?" Bruce leans back to sit on one of the desks as Kagome does the same.

"Yes. He actually has quite a few animals around our property." he smiles, "I'm just glad he left the cow at home."

"He has a cow?"

"Yes he does. Of all my children Damian has the biggest heart towards animals. I've given up on telling him no." he smiles, "but of all the kids problems his animals really aren't ever a problem."

She tilts her head, "Damian mentioned that he has brothers but I always assumed that he just meant one or two."

"I have five."

"Oh. That is quite a few." She brings a hand up for a finger to tap her lip, "It's a wonder how you have time to function, let alone run a large company."

"Yes, they can be a hand full when they want to be but they all behave and work together for the most part." he raises an eyebrow. "The only thing they really cut into is my dating life."

She blushes, "Um. Yes well I could see how that could be an issue."

"So, what about you?"

Her eyes widen a little, "What about me?"

"Do you have children?"

"Um yes... Of course I have children 118 of them to be exact and they also cut into my social, not so social, life."

"And do you date?"

"I believe we have gotten off topic Mr. Wayne."

He takes a few steps forward, "Bruce. And I believe we have finally gotten on a topic I'm actually interested in. Kagome."

"Yes, well, I don't make it a habit to discuss my personal life with my students parents." She side steps then walks back around to the other side of the desk.

"What about discussing it with someone whom would like to take you to dinner."

"I'm afraid I don't date my students parents either Bruce. You understand I'm sure."

"That's alright." he smiles at her relieved look, "I can have Damian switched to a different school tomorrow."

She gets an annoyed look, "You aren't accustom to being told no. Are you Mr. Wayne?"

"I am. I just don't take no for an answer when it's something I really want."

"Well I apologize Mr. Wayne but you can't always get what you want." picking up the box and handing it to Bruce she continues. "Thank you for coming Mr. Wayne and I hope you have a good rest of your day."

The bell rings and her door opens as students start coming in.

He smiles as he takes the box from her, taking care to brush his fingers with hers. Watching the blush form on her face he steps back with a wink, "Until next time, Kagome. Have a good day."

With that he exists the room with a wiggling box in hand.
