Next Day
Forest outside the Cul-De-Sac
The next day the Eds woke up very early, well almost all the Eds, Eddy had to be dragged outside of the bed and get dressed and then go outside the forest where their Gozanti was ordered to land. Today it was the day where the Eds decided to christen it and of course Double D had come up with an idea for the secondary ship that they had.
"This will be an honor to all of us gentleman it is the day where our Gozanti will receive its name here on our world." Double D said tying a bottle filled with earth to a rope hanging from a tree as Ed got excited while Eddy only remained silent, still a bit sleepy as the droids were staying behind.
"YEEEAAAH!" Ed said.
"'yawn' wonder if they had assisted to a very early christening of a ship." Eddy said pointing to their droids a bit annoyed he had to wake up this early.
"There was never a time for it actually sir, especially not a Gozanti or a Munificent."
"And the reason it will not be here, is because that thing is giant flying mountain, unlike this one." Eddy commented.
"We will figure something out." Double D said turning to his friends and the droid.
"Ed, droids beat the drums." Double D ordered as the droids took up the sticks to beat a fallen log and Ed grabbed his shirt up and with his own hands beat his belly along with the droids.
"Hem-hem, by the power invested in me, by myself I give this space worthy ship the name…" Double D started before seeing the name written on the ship.
"S.S. Mutant Space Shark?" Double D asked as he read while Ed turned shy.
"That is not a big fitting name for this model." Commented one of the droids.
"Stay back gentleman." Double D said as he tried to throw the bottle but didn't even make it to the hull to break as Ed and Eddy started to laugh.
"ha-ha-ha-ha, hey nice one muscles." Eddy commented at his weak physique that he didn't manage to break the bottle.
"Oh damn my weak physique." Double D commented pressing on his muscles.
"Don't worry captain Eddward I will help you." Said a droid sergeant taking the bottle up. "For the S.S. Mutant Space Shark." He throw it, smashing the bottle.
"You really need to do something about this Double D." Eddy commented.
"Yeah, maybe." He said taking out a broom and a dustpan to clean up the shattered remains and place it in a recicling beam.
"Now come on, let's do some preparations for another expedition and let's hopefully it will be place where we wouldn't be found by either the Republic or the CIS." Eddy said going back to the cul-de-sac followed by Ed.
"You cover the ship gentleman we will be back very soon." Double D ordered.
"Roger-Roger."
Back in the Cul-de-Sac the Eds had discreetly bought from the store some food for their new adventure across the stars, those included basics including fruits and vegetables alongside sandwiches and other stuff like chips and sodas but most important it was jawbreakers. Other things that were taken was also some research supplies for the ship for alongside a notebook for everything he will study.
"Alright, we have to do our best to not be spotted; there is no way others will find out about our secret place." Eddy whispered to the others.
"But Eddy why can't we tell the others for now?" Ed asked.
"Because lumpy we barely managed to keep Johnny from messing around, especially with that station fiasco mission." He said before Nazz came.
"Hey guys, what are you up to today?" She asked from behind them making them nervous.
"Ohhh, h-hey?" Eddy started.
"What is with all the stuff you got there?"
"Well aaaahh, we are." Eddy started nervously.
"Going on exploration." Ed said.
"Exploration?"
"Yeah, around the place we...we are really interested in knowing our surroundings." Double D said.
"Oooh and you need so much stuff?" She asked curiously.
"Yes it might be necessary. You never know how much time we will spend." Double D said nervously.
"I see, you know I really wonder when you 3 will do some scam. Kevin started to get more and more hysteric."
"You don't say it." Eddy said liking where the thing is going.
"Anyways I hope you 3 don't intend to do something stupid. Who knows maybe you will call me in one of your explorations."
"Sure why not." Eddy said too quickly.
"Very well." She said leaving them.
"Eddy we need to be careful." Double D whispered.
"Oooh yeah I know, got stressed. Let's better hurry it up." Eddy said as they started to hurry the pace toward their ship in the forest.
The Gozanti in the forest later
"Hope we weren't absent for too long." Double D asked.
"Not at all captain Eddward, barely several minutes." Said the OOM commander.
"Get us to the ship boys." Eddy ordered as the engine started.
"So where is our next destination?" Asked a pilot as they are going towards their Munificent ship.
"That depends, can you give us a list of places where there is no trouble with the conflict." Eddy said as the commander came in with the tablet for Double D.
"Hmm, we can try this place, Elphrona." Double D said.
"Uhh, there is a problem here sir; it is quite far away beyond that there is a minor CIS station in the way that monitors nearly everything passing through hyperspace." Explained the commander.
"Hmm in this case we can try to see Takodana then." Double D said.
"We can as long as there is no danger there." Eddy said.
"It is actually a place where smugglers and bounty hunters could come and go." Reported the OOM commander as the ship docked to the Fortune Favours.
"In this case we should better try that place, Elphrona despite the station." Eddy said before an idea came to mind.
"Wait a minute we have the commando droids isn't it?"
"Roger-Roger."
"Let's get to the bridge; I want to see a hologram of how big that station is." Eddy said getting on the Fortune Favour and running towards the bridge of the ship.
"And is that all?" Eddy asked seeing the station hologram and schematics; it wasn't much, it barely looked like an upside down bowl glued to a small asteroid from where 2 other tubes were coming out. It wasn't much different from the other station, with the exception that it was inside a asteroid and it was primarily meant on one side as a minor mining facility and as a listening post. All run by droids and according to the blueprints it was also meant for observations outside CIS territory and resupplying small ships but could accommodate their Munificent, it wasn't however the most important or the biggest one of the stations.
"It is, and it isn't much to say about the station sir, but it does have guards for the interior." Reported the tactical droid.
"Even with that is there a possibility for our commando droids to give a shut down command with 5 at least?"
"I calculate that the possibility could be of success, especially if they are sent for infiltration mission to shut down the systems. They could easily blend in."
"And are there commandoes in there too?" Double D asked.
"Affirmative sir but they are active only in case of attack; which wouldn't be our case; we can use the Gozanti to get them in for this operation."
"In this case we really got a chance." Eddy said.
"Yeeah." Ed said cheerfully.
"Let's try to do it." Eddy said placing himself on the captain's chair. "Set up the course boys."
"Roger Roger." The droids said as they plotted the course for the system.
CIS listening and surveillance station
Been on a listening station didn't gives much things to do aside from routine stuff, it was even in the case of droids who despite not been at the frontline they considered that they should see more excitement in case of some with personality quirks. But despite all this no one said that one could not experience some surprises their station was meant also for resupply allied ship just in case and from the allied ships.
"Sir there is a ship coming out of hyperspace." Reported one of the droids to the tactical droid.
"What kind of ship?"
"Gozanti ship CIS markings."
"Contact it to see what the reason for arriving is." He ordered.
"Gozanti ship, state your business." Said the droid from the console.
"We are in need of resupply of fuel and repairs, we had been attacked by a republic raider, we need to dock." Reported the droid piloting the ship.
"Understood come near the next Gozanti in the docking bay B." The droid said.
"Roger Roger." The droid pilot said before turning to the Eds.
"We are going in sirs."
"Maintain course." Eddy said as he, Ed and Double D went to meet with the commando squad each of them been painted specifically but also Ed drew between their eyes marks like that of ninjas.
"Be ready to take the station boys, remember the directives, you have to give a shut down command and capture the tactical droid." Eddy said.
"Roger-Roger sirs." They all said saluting them going to their positions just when the ship had docked and while the Eds hid in the ship while the commando droids entered while the Eds stayed in waiting for the message from their squad in one of the rooms. They didn't had to wait for too long as the communicator started bopping.
"Status report." Eddy asked.
"Sir, mission accomplished the station is ours." Said the lead commando droid.
"We are coming in." Eddy said as he and the others exited and went to another squad of droids kept in waiting.
"Path is clear boys we are going in." Eddy said as they and the droids entered to see droids deactivated around them, the number wasn't that great so it wouldn't take too long for reprogramming, when they entered the control room they were greeted by the commando droids who also had the tactical droid offline.
"Well this impediment was resolved." Eddy commented.
"What can we do now sir?"
"Reprogram some of the droids, leave a small garrison and then we go to see Elphrona." Eddy said.
"Roger roger." Said the droids as they started to reprogram the new droids to operate the station, it only took an hour for a crew to be created for the station and to make it operable before they prepared for their trip to Elphrona. It was decided for them to go with the second Gozanti that was docked for a test drive and with their Fortune Favour Munificent before returning back to the station.
"So everything prepared?" Eddy asked from the captain's chair on the Munificent.
"Roger Roger sir, we are entering into hyperspace." Said the droids as they placed the coordinates for their destination.
"I wonder still, how is this place Elphrona? Didn't heard much about it." Eddy said taking a soda from the cooler.
"It is a remote planet sir like the majority where we went, very low on the radar."
"The lower the better, in any case we don't need to be again part of a battle. Like the incident we had the first time." Double D said.
"I wonder how many places we can visit without having to draw too much attention. We barely managed to no more be on the republic's surveillance that is probably also thanks to our own ship. Who is probably on hit list due to the usual users of it." Eddy commented while drinking soda.
"As long as we stay away from them we wouldn't have troubles." Double D said before the indicator of arrival started to beep.
"We arrived." Reported the OM-01 as they exited hyperspace to see a new planet in a new system from where they were it seemed for them to be like Ryloth with some notable exceptions.
"Oh boy, oh boy the explorers have arrived." Ed said with excitement as they were going to the hangar.
"Prepare a shuttle gentleman and a squad." Double D said before turning to OM-01 "Please find me information on this new location OM-01."
"Roger, Roger."
On the surface the shuttle arrived without much trouble and once it touched ground the Eds went out immediately with 6 battle droids. Of course their enthusiasm had a bit dissipated once on the ground with how the landscape was, it was full of geysers and rocks. It was in essence a rocky planet with large geothermal activities.
"On the first glance it looked like Ryloth but it pales to it." Eddy commented.
"According to the data captain Eddy, it is an ore planet it has vast mineral quantities all around." Reported OM-01
"And from what I can tell this place has a lot of geothermal activity, we should be careful and stay away from the geysers." Double D said.
"Heh, whatever, maybe we can still take something nice from here." Eddy said as he took a picture while Ed went ahead.
"Ooh, this planet looks like from the movie The Desert Planet of the Giant Worm." Ed said with enthusiasm.
"Ah there are not giant worms here captain Ed but there are some other creatures around." Said OM-01.
"We will keep distance if need be." Eddy said as he went near a cave where the steam was coming out, adjusting the camera he didn't noticed that something was inside.
Growl
"Huh." Eddy heard and he turned around to see something fuming with fire at his breath.
"Cheese and macaroni." Eddy said while watching the moves of the creature before starting to charge at him "HELP!" Eddy called trying to run but he tripped immediately and also alerting the others.
"I am too young and handsome to be eaten." Eddy said.
Ruf-Ruf
"Huh." He turned his gaze to see something like a dog combined with a lizard.
Ruf-Ruf
"What on Earth are you?" Eddy asked.
"My, my this one looks like a dog but also looks like a reptile." Double D said.
"This is one of the creatures' native to this planet, it is called a Charhound. According to the data it is friendly and sociable; however the temperature of it is very high." Reported OM-01.
"Ohh, he looks so cute." Ed said wanting to pet him before feeling his hand hot nearly touching a cooking pot on fire. "Ouch, very hot."
"Hmm I wish to see how he behaves at least, can you bring me something that is heat resistant." Double D asked as a droid came from the shuttle with a rod.
"Will this do?" The droid asked.
"So what? You want to play fetch with him; you know they aren't one of the dogs we know Double D." Eddy commented.
"Unlike one of the incidents, this one might be different." Double D said throwing the rod to the Charhound as if playing fetch and he catch it only for it to melt making the hound sad as it sniffed what remained of it.
"Interior temperature is very high, even for a simple rod." Double D commented.
"Friendly as it is I would rather not touch him to burn my hand." Eddy commented.
"I wonder what could be heat resistant enough?"
"Oh-oh I know I know." Ed said taking up a long stone to show it to the Charhound.
"Hey boy, look here." Ed said showing him the rock which the alien dog got enthusiastic.
"Fetch." Ed said throwing it away and the hound went after it and caught it in his mouth and from it came out shining.
"Heat resistant crystal, amazing." Double D said as Eddy came with an idea to make some money back in the cul-de-sac.
"Hey lumpy, where did you found it I want to play as well with our fire breathing friend." Eddy said with a smirk.
"From there." Ed said pointing at a cave that had the some rocks he held but proven to be a crystal as Ed took another. "Hey there go after it." Ed called as he threw another rock and from it came another crystal while Eddy turned to 2 droids.
"You 2 OM-12 and OM-11 with me." Eddy ordered as the b1 droids followed him back to the shuttle where Eddy took out a small metal crate.
"You OM-12 you will hold this crate and follow us after the Charhound, you OM-11 will gather the crystals that came out and become clear."
"Roger-Roger captain Eddy." They said in unison as they followed him to where the rocks were and Eddy took a handful of them and went after the Charhound to play with it.
"Hey Fire Breath." Eddy called showing one of the long rocks to the Charhound who got it excited "Go get it." Eddy said throwing it for the Charhound to catch it in his mouth and immediately came another crystal while Eddy approached with another one.
"Very well, want another one?" Eddy asked before Ed came too and the Charhound got even more excited.
Ruf-Ruf
"Let's go." Ed said as they continued to play while Double D took some notes, he was by all extent very impressed by the behaviour of the Charhound, he imagined that maybe sometime in the future something like this could become a pet on Earth but of course not one that could burn one's hand. He kept taking some notes till he noticed 2 droids picking up the crystals that were coming out of the rocks that Eddy was throwing to the Charhound to catch.
"Ooh, for goodness sake. Eddy!" He called tracking his attention "Is this a way to use this creature for personal gain?"
"Calm down sockhead don't you want to take samples even of rocks. Well this is one the ways we can do it." Eddy said throwing another stone to the charhound to catch. "Besides those seem to be the only ones we can use to play with this one, not to mention that each one should have one crystal at least, not to mention to sell some to the cul-de-sac kids there is no way we will tell them yet. What we are up to." Eddy said continuing his activity frustrating his smarter friend.
"Oh my."
"So what can we do now captain Eddward?"
"We see what we can find around OM-1 and also look after the Charhound."
"By the look of it he seems to get tired a bit." The droid said pointing to it and it was true the Charhound really was a bit tired and it wasn't alone even Eddy and Ed started to get tired, probably due to the heat that was on this world.
"Man I am tired now." Eddy commented while Double D and the droids with the gathered crystals came.
"What is the take?"
"19 crystals sir." Said one of the droids showing Eddy what was in the crate.
"Oooh yeah." Eddy said trying to take one but was too hot to take it in his hand.
"Ouch, they are still very hot, we will wait till they cool down a bit, take them in the shuttle."
"Roger-Roger." Said OM-12 going back to the shuttle before turning to Double D that wasn't too happy.
"Don't make that face Double D, besides you also want one to see how they are."
"That I can agree, but I wouldn't do it by exploiting such a creature, especially that it was between the nicest of creatures we met here." Double D said.
"That despite been a living fire breathing dragon like creature." Eddy commented whipping his sweat from his forehead "Where did it go anyways?"
"Here it is guys?" Ed called his friends to point where the Charhound was going and they started to follow him across a hill. Climbing a bit the hill they saw a big structure before them with large pillars surrounding an entrance flanked by 2 statues.
"Wow this must be a big temple." Eddy said.
"Captain I believe that is a Jedi temple, we didn't mention but this is a Jedi planet. The jedi have temples here." Said OM-1 not very keen.
"Oooh no." Said another with dread.
"You aren't anymore on the side of the CIS for you to be destroyed by them." Eddy said.
"You didn't give us memory wipes some of us encountered them and were cut more than once." OM-1 said.
"I am one of them 3 times and recycled every time to be reused." Said OM-11.
"You don't need to worry now about that anyways maybe we can now return to the ship." Double D said before noticing that Ed was missing.
"Where is Ed?"
"ED!" Eddy called as Ed was running towards the interior of the temple.
"Let's go after him and take him quick." Eddy said as they started to go towards the temple, entering the temple they were quickly amazed by the fact of how big it was.
"Well the jedi surely like bit places and on planets who surely don't have much technology." Double D commented.
"Some places we are going to visit one way or the other." Eddy said before calling for their friend "ED! Where are you?"
"Here." Ed called from one of the rooms where the Charhound seemed to also be, the room was however very shady.
"Activate your torch lights." Ordered Eddy as the droids placed their magnetic torch lights on their heads to activate them as they went inside.
"Ed you shouldn't go too far since there could be trouble around and we don't mean the charhound." Double D said pointing to the creature.
"But look guys something is here."
"Captain Ed is right sir. There are computers here." Said OM-1 as OM-11 found the console to activate the lights.
"Hmm, maybe we can find some information around." Double D said taking the tablet from OM-1.
"Can you help me find some information about this place at the computers or other things?"
"Roger-Roger captain." Said the droid as he started to look at the information at the computers.
"Phew even if this place is deserted it still surely hot from the geysers or is it our alien dragon dog friend over here." Eddy commented pointing to the Charhound.
"Probably are other things now." Double D said.
"Captain Eddward." Called the battle droid.
"What is it?"
"I believe I found something interesting the coordinates to 2 planets, one in the Deep Core called Tython and another in the unknown regions called Ahch-To." He reported while Double D took the tablet to check.
"Hmm first one too risky and too far away however we can try to see Ahch-To not too much information about it but it is closer to home." Double D said.
"Still I wonder why this place isn't known?"
"Of how many planets and systems this galaxy probably has aside from our world and the worlds we know about now. Surely not every place is that important." Eddy commented.
"Or because we are on a jedi planet, those 2 should be other jedi planets. Even with that this might be an opportunity. We shall try to visit Ahch-To." Double D said.
"At least that place is closer to home." Eddy said as they started to leave before noticing that Ed was still playing with the Charhound.
"Ed we got to go. We have another place to be."
"Oooh but I like our hot friend." Ed said disappointed.
"Don't worry Ed, he will always remember us and he will always be our friend here on Elphrona." Double D said while Eddy took him by his coat.
"Come on lumpy and don't worry he will always be here." Eddy said as Ed started to follow them, followed in turn by the Charhound till they reached the shuttle.
"Ah sirs should we take him as well?" Asked a droid who was in front of the entrance to the shuttle pointing at the charhound and the trio noticed.
"No we don't want him to melt the floor of the ship." Eddy said remembering that they got some meat whom they took from home to eat later and they also had a piece in the shuttle, Eddy immediately entered in to take a piece.
"Hey fire dog." Eddy said showing him the piece getting it excited.
"Go after it." Eddy said as he threw the meat for the charhound to catch to start eating.
"Don't worry we will always remember you wondrous creature of Elphrona." Double D said.
"See ya fire friend." Ed called as they entered the shuttle while the door closed and the shuttle started to depart while the charhound looked in the distance but he wasn't sad he was happy that he had time to play with them. Back at the Munificent ship the Eds had prepared their latest trip to Ahch-To.
"How much time will it take to get to Ahch-To?" Eddy asked.
"If we take trade routes we shall reach the place in 25 minutes from here." Reported the tactical droid.
"Let's go then." Eddy said going back in the captain's chair while the ship entered hyperspace while Double D looked over the tablet with information.
"Hmm according to the data Ahch-To is another water planet just like Castilon. However unlike Castilon it isn't on most maps, the place is more secretive then others."
"Heh, at least we wouldn't be found that easily to do who knows what suicide mission we might be given. Still I hope we wouldn't be in a place with that much water on Castilon we barely found an island." Eddy commented.
"Well it seems that this one's landmass is mainly comprised of rocky islands and according to the data it is also inhabited." Double D said.
"Hopefully we will find a big island; we go with one of the shuttles again." Eddy said taking a sandwich from the cooler.
"We found one sir, big enough even to accommodate a Gozanti ship." Reported one of the droids at the consuls.
"Perfect." Double D said as he prepared his gear as the 3 went out of the bridge.
On Ach-To the Sheathipede had landed on a strip of land, as the door opened the Eds could now see the rocky island with high cliffs and mountains as well as clouds in the sky and waves smashing against the island.
"So again a water planet, but at least with more land." Commented Eddy as he climbed down the ship followed by his friends and 6 droids.
"Unlike other places at least we go where there is no battle around." Commented one of the battle droids.
"And we hope to keep it that way." Double D said as he appreciated the surroundings before hearing a sound like of a bird.
"Well there is no place without birds around it seems." Eddy commented before seeing what kind of birds were, they were story with short wings but without beaks.
"Puffy-woffy birds." Ed said looking innocently to them as other 2 were flying around.
"They look like puffins but without beaks." Double D said as he took the camera from Eddy to photograph them. "They are quite intriguing."
"Hope we don't have trouble with those now." Eddy commented while taking his camera back.
"They are so cute." Ed commented hugging three of them who weren't of course very keen to be squeezed by their big friend.
"Ed put them down." Eddy exclaimed.
"You don't need to worry about them sir they are harmless." Said OM-1.
"It's not that I don't like birds no matter from where they are." Eddy commented while the three started to go around the island followed by one droid each. The islands of Ahch-To were very hilly but even with that one can easily go around. For Double D it was very good since despite there been some sun it felt more like spring rather than the hottest day of summer.
"Aaah, at least there isn't any danger from the heat here especially with my sensitive skin."
"Sir I would try to stay away from the cliffs still." Said OM-01 pointing to how abrupt it seems to be.
"Good Lord it surely is dangerous I can tell." Double D said backing from the cliff.
"Man, this place doesn't have too much things around. I wonder why do we choose such places." Eddy commented taking a photo of the island chain while hearing the waves crashing against the rock "One thing to notice however is that we came from one extreme to the other. We were on a dry ore planet and now we are on a nearly full water planet." He commented while hearing the birds.
"What ironic I preferred the fire breathing hound."
"Yeah captain Eddy we kind of made of mistake, this isn't the biggest island, the biggest one is over there." Said OM-11 looking through the binoculars whom Eddy took to see.
"Hmm there seems to be a settlement there as well with some creatures, hopefully not too annoying like the Ewaks from Endor." Eddy commented.
"We didn't spent too much time with them sir, we left immediately."
"Because we didn't want incidents to happen." Eddy said giving the binoculars back. "Let's go there to see what we can find. Still this small island is kind of a good start at least we know how it is here."
"Oh Eddy, Double D!" Ed called and they immediately went to their friend who pointed out to the creatures near a strip of land going down to catch some fish.
"Hmm, so those creatures eat fish as their primary source of nutrition, good to know." Double D said taking some notes.
"Let's better go to the big island now." Eddy commented as they started to move back to their shuttle followed by the droids.
"Everyone in?" Double D asked the droids.
"Affirmative sir, everyone in." Reported OM-1.
"Get us in the air to the biggest island now pilot." Eddy ordered as the droid complied and landed very calmly on the ground.
"We had landed." The Pilot droid said as the door opened and the group came out and noticed that this time the rocks were more aligned and some seemed to even be more artificially made for one to go around.
"Let's go and see what we can find." Eddy said as the group went out to explore and what they managed to come by were the local inhabitants who didn't seemed to pay much attention to them, they were just going on their usual business. It didn't took them much to go around and came to some empty dome structures where the natives weren't staying.
"It's an amazing place it reminds me of something similar back home whom I read." Double D said.
"At least we have a good view." Eddy commented while looking in the distance from the top of one of the domes whom in a way Double D started to have questions.
"Hmm OM-01, can you please come with me I wish to put some questions to some of the natives."
"Roger-Roger sir." OM-01 said following him.
"Don't go too far Eddy we need to find one another for when we have to leave." Double D said.
"Don't worry I will be here around. We need to see where Ed is." Eddy said while looking around.
"Where did he go?" Double D asked.
"I got this." OM-01 said while activating his com link in his head. "OM-20 where are you with Captain Ed?"
"We are here climbing some stairs from the big mountain." Reported the droid through the com link.
"Tell them that we are going in their direction. And try to stick near Ed." Eddy said.
"Roger Roger."
"Well I will try to communicate with some locals' maybe we can be able to communicate with them in some way." Double D said.
"You do that I will go after Ed, and maybe we can ask the natives how to deal with those birds around." Eddy commented while he and his droid accompanying him followed.
"Ooh." Ed started while looking in the distance, he was of course afraid of heights, fearing himself to not fall, but he couldn't deny the beauty of the landscape. "Wondrous place."
"Captain Ed don't you think we should go down? Captain Eddy asked of us."
"We will go back soon, but not yet." Ed said as a local bird came near him tracking his attention.
"Oooh." Ed said as he started to follow it up the hill.
"Captain Ed." The droid commented while following him.
"Well this is, quite doubting." Eddy said while climbing the stairs which were a lot of them especially when he saw Ed continuing to climb them.
"What came to Ed's mind to continue to climb?" Eddy commented knowing his friends tendency to go on his own.
"I believe we will find out soon." Said the battle droid as they continued to climb till they reached a cave where Ed was.
"Hey Eddy!"
"Ed! urgh" Eddy said panting been tired from climbing all the stairs. "Why have you climbed up till here?"
"Couldn't help, follow cute bird and look." Ed said pointing out to another opening but this time to a cliff to what seemed to be nearly a platform, but even with that one couldn't help by be amazed by the view.
"Now this is picture for a calendar." Eddy said taking a picture with his camera.
"Sirs, you should see this." Called OM-20 as the 2 turned around to see the Jedi symbol painted on the wall.
"Well this place really confirms the fact that this place is a Jedi world. But an abandoned one probably." Eddy commented.
"I am glad for that to tell you the truth." Said the droid that accompanied Eddy.
"Take it as a privileged boy; at least you see something without been cut to pieces by them."
"Roger-Roger." Said OM-20 before Eddy's com link started to beep.
"We are here Double D?" Eddy said.
"You should come back guys, I am at the base of the mountain I will wait for you." Double D said.
"We already finished in some cases we are coming down now." Eddy said as the group started to climb down seeing Double D where he was.
"Let's go down." Ed said as he started to hurry down a bit too fast, and of course due to a small accident Ed tripped himself and they started form into a ball making Double D and OM-01 to move away from it while Ed and Eddy crashed on the ground alongside their droids.
"Oh my, are you alright guys?" Double D asked while Eddy and Ed came out.
"We are fine." Eddy said holding his head "A bit shaken but we are fine."
"Droids?"
"We might need a bit of repairs sir." Said OM-20 holding his left arm who was detached while the other had his legs severed.
"Oh dear, don't worry we will repair you all." Double D said as Ed came back and took them both up
"Aleup to the ship with you 2." Ed said taking them un in his arms to get them to the shuttle.
"So have you find out about this place."
"I managed to talk with the locals through sign language at first until I found that one was able to talk in our language, according to him this world is the site of the first Jedi temple and they are the caretakers. As for the birds they call them Porgs from what it seems they are more intelligent then they look. And I have to say they are really astonishing." Double D said.
"Sure as long as they don't make trouble for us. Anyways let's better get home back to the cul-de-sac, by all accounts I wish to see how much cash we could make with some of the crystals from Elphrona." Eddy said as they went back to the shuttle.
Back in orbit
"They will be repaired very quickly it isn't something serious." Said an engineer droid fixing the 2 damaged ones.
"Ed sad for endangering friends." Ed said with tears feeling sorry for this.
"Don't worry, Captain Ed we know it wasn't your fault." Said OM-20 with a reassuring voice making him smile.
"Good thing we are fine for now. Set course for home." Double D ordered.
"Roger Roger."
"I really wish to see the faces of the others when they see what we brought them." Eddy said looking in the crate of crystals.
"Don't forget that I want to keep some crystals Eddy." Double D said.
"The crate has enough for everyone, besides." Eddy took one of the crystals in his hand which were nearly fully standing straight. "This one will look great in my room."
"Oh boy." Double D said rolling his eyes.
Back in the Cul-de-Sac near the evening
"Come on, come on we got crystals that are as if from outer space." Eddy called as they set up their shop near the playground and as the kids were coming.
"Oh man they look great." Nazz said.
"Which one of those would you like to take?" Eddy asked as Nazz chose one of them one that looked nearly like a mountain with 3 tops the middle one been the biggest.
"Ooh, nice choice, but it will not be cheap." Eddy said.
"With how those look they really are worth it." She said preparing 75 cents.
"Not so fast." Kevin came "How do we know those things are even legit?" He said taking up one but Eddy knew how to play this time.
"Hmm, if you want to check, try to clean it and see if it is legit." Eddy said with a smirk taking out a bucket of water, soap and a brush.
"That is what I will do. Those are surely painted to look like crystal." Kevin said taking them and started to clean it with all his strength.
"There see guys." Kevin said showing up the same 'painted rock' which was just looked even better.
"Maybe if you try more Kev but to no avail it will look even better." Eddy said.
"Wow, so are those really legitimate crystals?" Nazz asked.
"Sure they are, but the place from where we found them is secret can't tell from where they are. Took some time till we got them but we got enough for everyone." Eddy said as the other kids started to buy one crystal, even Kevin took one although he would like to know from where it is. When everyone left leaving only the Eds they started to review everything they had done.
"Man guys ever since we got the Fortune Favor everything is really turning around for the most part." Eddy said while closing the money jar.
"YEAH." Ed said with happiness.
"Well I can't deny things haven't been different." Double D said holding his own crystal. "Tomorrow I believe I will study this crystal, it really is fascinating." Double D said before Johnny came out.
"Hey guys just between us I wonder from where do those crystals came from, especially if me and Plank know about your secret." Johnny said with a sly smile.
"Hmm." Eddy made and to think that things could be so well "Well Johnny if you would want to know try to imagine an ore planet with lots of geysers and dry." He explained.
"That seems like an interesting place."
"Yeah, the place is called Elphrona and it was also habited we also came across some of the wildlife."
"Really? How are they?"
"If you touch them you can get burned." Eddy said before showing the picture with the charhound "Meet Fire Breath it is a charhound, seems nice until you touch one, it could burn one's hand when you touch him and plank will surely not survive cine it made a rod to melt." Eddy explained, making Johnny to hug his wood very close to him.
"Excuse Eddy but it is indeed true the Charhound is emanating extremely high heat that could burn wood and could also hurt our skin if you touch him too much." Double D explained.
"Literally it is a living match or a living hot stone with scales." Eddy added.
"It still looks great." Johnny said before turning to his friend "What is that Plank…hey I am just saying it might be great to see one even if you don't want to…no one is obliged to touch it."
"Sorry it seems Plank isn't that keen with such a creature, even if it looks great and might be exciting to see one."
"It was really great to be with one and play?"
"Did you manage to play with this one?"
"Well it might look ferocious but in reality he is very friendly not to mention the fact that only those crystals were able to absorb the heat in order to play with him." Double D explained holding a remaining crystal.
"It is still cool to at least have those crystals. By the way maybe I join you another time when there wouldn't be troubles around to at least go to the places where you have been." Johnny said.
"Yeah you have to wait for that Johnny, tomorrow there will be no expeditions. We take a break, but we can show you one of the new ships we had gained." Eddy said.
"New ships?! That I want to see tomorrow." Johnny said excited as he left with the crystal.
"Johnny will be a real trouble if he ever tells the others of our secret." Eddy commented.
"Oh Eddy it isn't like it is the end of the world if we tell them about our Munificent ship and our droids." Double D said.
"Just between us Double D it is for the first time we have something really cool that no one would ever expect and there is surely no way I want this to be blown up. Besides the ship and droids I really like to be around them to see other places." Eddy said taking up the empty crate of crystals going back into the woods where their shuttle with 3 droids was waiting.
"Has everything turned out well?" Asked OM-20 now repaired.
"More than well boys, but tomorrow it is a day off for all of us including you."
"Roger-Roger." Said the battle droids really happy about this while one of them took the crate inside.
"Anyways tomorrow we shall see what other places we could go without tracking too much attention. We will inform you of any change of plans tomorrow." Double D said.
"Understood we will see tomorrow." Said OM-01 as all went in the shuttle while the Eds turned around to leave, no one noticed that a stowaway male Porg had exited their shuttle just when the door had closed and the shuttle left to get back to the Fortune Favor. While the Porg was there he decided to follow one of the Eds to its home.
