I'm sorry that it's been so long. I'm trying my best to get my shite together and stay motivated. Any ways enough about me and on to the chapter.

However as always I still own nothing

John Stewart-Green Lantern

John was standing in the observation room of the Justice League satellite looking out one of the windows at the planet below when he heard footsteps coming up behind him. Turning around he watches as Flash walks up eating a slice of pizza.

"Hey Lantern what's up? I feel like it's been forever since I last saw you. You weren't hurt were you?"

"Hey Flash, no I wasn't hurt I had been out of town for a few weeks."

Flash gets a confused face, "Out of town like on vacation? I didn't think the bat would ever approve of days off."

"He hadn't been happy about it but it was planned before I joined the team."

"So where did you go?" He pauses and gives John another look. "Haven't you been on the team for like three years? Who plans vacations that far in advance?"

"I've been on the team for two and a half years but the trip was planned about three years ago."

Flash gets an excited look on his face as he jumps and turns to face John, "If you were gone did you hear the news?"

Now it's John's turn to look confused, "What news?"

Flash's smile grows, "We got a new doc and she is smokin. She just started today but man I tell you I'm going to win her over. She's doing physicals on everyone and I cannot wait til it's my turn. I mean the bat already told me she's off limits but I think I still have a chance. Just wait til you see her though."

"Did Batman tell you why she was off limits?"

"No. He just gave his usual 'relationships within the team hurt the team' lecture. But I got the feeling that it was because he was already checking her out."

John smirks, "What gave you that idea?"

"I over heard him and Superman talking about her the other day and he seemed almost," he waves his hands around and shrugs, "excited for her to be coming to the team. He mentioned that he had been following her career for a while. So I don't know what all she's been doing but she definitely has had his attention for a minute."

"And that makes you think that he's interested?"

"Well, yeah, why else would he be watching her so closely?"

"Because its Batman and he watches everyone closely."

They turn to the door when they hear footsteps approaching, both smile when they see the new doctor walking in with Batman.

"And this," Batman begins, "Is the Flash, the last team member for you to meet.

Flash doesn't miss a second as he steps in front of her and takes her hand, "The names Wally West. I don't really do the secret identities with teammates thing."

"That's good to know then. I'm Kagome Higurashi," she pauses with a blush, "Sorry. Stewart. Kagome Stewart now. I'm still getting used to saying that." Smiling she turns to John, "Are you ready Lantern?"

He smiles back and nods, "Absolutely, I'm starved." He turns back to the others, "If you'll excuse us."

With a guiding hand he leads her away and towards the kitchens.

Flash gets a confused look and turns to Batman, "Why did she ask if he was ready and then go to the kitchen?"

"I'm assuming because they would like to have lunch before she gets back to completing the physicals."

"But why did she ask him?" He pauses and his eyes go wide, "Wait. What did she say her last name was?"

Batman raises a brow under his cowl, "Stewart. And considering the fact that she's his wife they probably want to have lunch together."

"Wait! They're married?!"

Batman just shakes his head and walks away.

Anyway there you have something short and sweet that popped into my head the other day that just needed to be shared.
