The next day
Despite yesterday mishap with the Porg and Johnny the Eds managed to do the damage control, what they did however was more than that, they have decided to get new methods when exploring, between those been taking a camera, to be specific Ed's camera, whom they started to use it immediately on the Fortune Favor.
"Well I have to say that the camera is working perfectly." Double D said testing it on the bridge.
"So let's see where we can go next." Eddy asked looking at the map however with so many systems it was quite hard to figure out so he will let it to chance.
"Here what about planet Taul?"
"Aah sir it is an acidic planet the rain is pure acid." Said the OOM commander.
"Bad decision there, in this case we shall try." Eddy started looking over them map "Dagobah."
"What do you think?" Double D asked.
"Dagobah isn't an important world but we got confirmation it isn't much explored with the exception that it is a jungle world but not with hostile creatures." OOM said.
"Let's go then." Eddy said going to the captain's chair as the crew placed the coordinates in the computer.
"I wonder what we shall see on Dagobah." Double D said.
On Dagobah
"Not something I expected." Double D said as he looked around the swampy place everywhere as firefly like creatures were flying around.
"Not something I had hoped, and thinking of it wasn't Dagobah the place where Yoda will exile himself after Order 66?" Eddy said.
"That is true." Double D said as he with leather boots started to move around.
"Ah sirs we can't let the shuttle in this bog it could sink." Said a droid.
"Keep the shuttle in the air for now but stay close." Double D said as the droids complied.
"Well aside from taking some plant samples and some pictures not much could be done here." Double D said not noticing a shadow in the vegetation.
"LEEEAAAAVE." Said a gloomy voice scaring Double D.
H-hello?"
"LEEEAAAAVE."
"W-we don't want to stay for too long here we will leave very soon." Double D said before noticing that Eddy wasn't where he was supposed to be and neither was Ed.
"E-Eddy?" Double D asked looking around taking some plant samples from vines from a tree and some bark. "Ed where are you?"
"WHHHHAAAA!" Ed and Eddy came out from behind some vines scaring their friend from behind getting on the ground.
"Gotch ya." Eddy said as both he and Ed were laughing on the expense of their friend.
"Ha-ha very funny do you think is the proper way to do things when on worlds like this one." Double D asked while getting back on his feet.
"It is a good place to hide if you want to know and also I believe this is a good place for a picture." Eddy said taking a picture of the place, it was in any sense a gloomy place with mist everywhere and a high grade of humidity and was barely any light around due to the tall trees, one would say that was haunted especially due to a cave that was behind them who was giving very cold icy air.
"This one is good for Halloween." Eddy commented feeling the cold icy air that seemed to go in him and seemed to make him want to leave.
"Still maybe we can now return to the shuttle. Somehow I got not such a good feeling now."
"Me too the place gives Ed the sense that we are in a bad place." Ed said before Double D finished sealing the jars.
"We can already return anyways I got what I needed." The smarter Ed said before noticing his friends that were looking as if high on edge.
"Did something happen, gentlemen?"
"Weird fact is Double D I feel as if something bad is around after feeling the cold air of that cave." Eddy said before Double D turned to the cave pointed by Eddy and went to inspect it and as soon as he was near he did started to feel as if something like a bad omen was there.
"Strange now I feel it too as if something bad is in there." He said.
"Bad place for Ed want to stay away." Ed said while Double D took a look inside only to see only darkness in which somehow made him feel bad and sick.
"Let's better leave then." Double D said pulling out his communicator.
"Pilot, come back with the shuttle we are leaving right now for the Fortune Favors." Double D said.
"We are close to the ground sir you will find us." Said the droid pilot from the communicator as the 3 friends started to move away from that cave but not before Eddy taking one last look inside the dark cave which by all intents and purposes wasn't giving him a very good sense at all it almost seemed like someone who wants his harm might be there. Back on the Fortune Favor the Eds went immediately to the bridge to receive any new information regarding any activities.
"Well anything to report here on the bridge?" Asked Double D.
"Negative sir, nothing that isn't normal with the exception that you returned sooner the anticipated barely 47 minutes and 28 seconds passed before arriving back on the ship." The T series tactical droid said.
"Dagobah wasn't so much for us." Double D said before a droid pilot received a signal on the console.
"Sirs I got a signal a ship incoming." The droid said.
"Of what kind Republic or CIS?" Asked Eddy, they didn't want to bump into them again.
"Negative sir it is neither especially it isn't a military ship. It is a civilian transport for a single person." The pilot said.
"That is off, why one would come here in the middle of nowhere aside from us who give up immediately on going around further."
"Also another thing to notice, the engines of that ship are turning unstable it is coming out of hyperspace." Reported another droid and a small conical ship came out just several miles from them with engines smoking.
"The engines must have been damaged during the jump which indicates the possibility of either not been properly fixed or possible overheating. It's a miracle the pilot managed to get out from light speed." Reported the droid.
"Well that is most unfortunate." Eddy commented.
"Ah sirs there is another thing, I am picking up life signs from inside the ship meaning the occupant is still alive." The OOM commander said watching another consol before Double D came in to check.
"Oh good Lord, bring that ship inside and alert the droids of both the fire control and damage control teams. And prepare the medical droid."
"Roger Roger." The droid said alerting the teams.
"Trouble, bad, not good." Ed said as both went out of the bridge in the direction of the hangar.
"Ah Captain Eddy aren't you going as well?" Asked the OOM commander.
"Right away but first call a droid squad to act as a guard first to the hangar." Eddy ordered.
"Immediately sir." Said the T series droid pressing some buttons on his tablet to call a squad of battle droids to the hangar. "A squad is on the way."
"Perfect." Eddy said as he went out from the bridge.
In the hangar the ship was brought in and the droids called were managing to stop the fires while the engineer droids went to the cockpit to try to open it up. OM 01 was also there just when Ed and Double D came in.
"How is the situation?" Double D asked.
"Fires are extinguished we try to open the cockpit now." OM 01 said.
"Where is the medic?"
"He is preparing the medical bay right now." Eddy said coming in with a squad of 12 armed droids. "And by the way I didn't want to come unprepared who knows what kind of person or creature are we facing." He said right when they heard the cockpit opening.
"Cockpit is opened we are getting her out." Reported the engineer droid as the medical droid came in with other 2 droids with a stretcher.
"Her?" Eddy asked as the droids took her to the stretcher and when the 3 friends noticed who it was, it was a girl or more rather a young slender woman around 17, 18 or 19 of age. But it wasn't human, it was humanoid but it was more a feline appearance with large pointed ears with some sort of small horns near them and clawed hands and seemed to have red fur on her face and her whole body who was dressed with some sort of armor beneath a tunic red tunic and very long trousers. In appearance she looked really beautiful.
"Get her to the medical bay immediately and present her with some fruits and water for her to eat when she wakes up." Double D said before turning to OM 01.
"OM 01, bring me some information on what is her species." He ordered.
"Roger Roger." OM 01 said saluting him before looking over the tablet while an engineer droid came.
"Sirs we have to tell you that the engines of this ship are beyond repair from what we can tell it is totally busted."
"We will talk about this after we figure out about our new guest." Eddy said before turning to the squad of droids. "Have a guard of 5 at the door, shoot only to stun."
"Roger Roger." They said in unison.
At the medical bay
There was an already created medical bay before the Eds took over the ship but they managed to place some more medical supplies alongside from what the Republic gave them as reward for their odd jobs that they were doing for them it became in essence the domain of both the medical droid and of Double D sometimes. At the moment the woman was placed on a bed in the medical bay.
"How is the situation doctor?" Double D asked as he placed a tray of some food they had in most cases they managed to gain some food used in this galaxy especially from the station they managed to capture.
"She is stable sir but she will need to sleep for a bit before waking up." He said.
"Do you have an estimate when she will wake up?"
"Possibility in an hour or 2 at the most, for the moment she only needs to rest."
"Very well then we shall return when she wakes up." Double D said as he and the medical droid left the room to get on the corridor where Eddy and Ed were alongside OM 01.
"Is Mrs. Alien cat alright?" Ed asked in his goofy ways but with worry.
"She will be alright Ed we just need to wait." Double D said before he turned to OM 01.
"How is the information you found OM 01?"
"Sirs I have to tell you that she is a Zygerrian, their home planet and space is very far away from here." He explained showing them the map where it was pointed where the planet of Zygerria was.
"She came from this far away? Who would do that? We aren't even be too far away from Earth in our case." Eddy commented.
"I am sure there is a reason for that." Double D said.
"Problem is sirs, is that Zygerrians are not having a very good reputation, they allied themselves with the CIS I have to tell but there are other things that must be taken into account."
"We shall figure out in time." Double D said before turning to the other droids who were as guards for the door.
"Announce us when she wakes up."
"Roger-Roger." They said replied before Double D turned to his friends.
"Let's go to the bridge and see what we can find out about Zygerria and probably find a better place to explore." Eddy said as they started to walk the corridors.
The bridge
"So this is how the landscape of Zygerria looks like isn't it?" Eddy said as he was shown pictures of the place which included the landscape and the city that look like ancient Mesopotamia.
"A beautiful landscape I have to declare and quite an exquisite art here." Said Double D with appreciation but the T series tactical droid and OM 01 didn't have that good news.
"Sirs it is doubtful that you will appreciate the local practices that they have." Said the T series tactical droid tracking the attention of the Eds.
"What do you mean?"
"The zygerrians have the practice that they must not show weakness and also they have in their culture that the strong should be the ones who dominate. For zygerrians their honor must be decided in a hand to hand fight, if one is beaten by the other they have to obey the victor's wishes." Said OM 01.
"Heh kind of reminds me of someone whom we know but using different tactics that is more unpleasant. Anyways probably the Kanker sisters or Kevin would receive a good beating from a zygerrian." Eddy commented.
"It wouldn't be very pleasant for them in another sense. The reason they have a bad reputation is the fact that they have a culture revolving around slavery." Said OM 01 shocking the Eds.
"Slavery?" Double D asked.
"Yes sir, the Zygerrians made themselves a reputation of prolific slavers; they made an empire in that part of the outer rim in the galactic north, according to history the jedi and the republic had toppled them but they kept their practices in secret or do other things." Said OM 01.
"Alright very clear we keep her under guard till we get her to some other planet." Eddy said however Double D had other plans in a sense there should be a logic as of why she came all this way from the north part of the galaxy to the galaxy.
"Wait a moment, this is very off if you tell me." Double D said.
"Off Double D?" Ed asked.
"Indeed what I am trying to say is next. If their base of operation is this far away from where we are in the south of the galaxy why would she go this far away?" Double D said.
"Well not all Zygerians have adopted the practice of slavery some abandoned it becoming law abiding citizens of the worlds they decided to settle. However I need to check the navigation data from the ship she was in order to give a full report." Said the Tactical droid.
"Go ahead with 3 droids and see what else there is in the ship." Double D said.
"Right away." He said as he left the bridge.
"OM 01 has anything else been received from the ship?"
"Some of her belongings in a box that is still in the hangar. Should you go and look over it?" OM 01 asked.
"No, they belong to her although to see what they are to be catalogued isn't a bad thing." Double D said taking a notepad. "Besides I believe that hearing her version of the story when she wakes up is a good thing before judging, we haven't judged the Kankers the first time when we met them to declare them bad, only afterwards. We shall figure everything out in due time."
"I still will take precautions Double D. I wouldn't relieve the guards at the door." Eddy said.
The medical bay
The Zygerrian woman was starting to move in the bed opening her eyes heavily feeling her head as if weighting a tone, once she opened her eyes she was blinded by the light that was before her, at first she wondered if she was dead. Covering her eyes and moving her head away from the light she noticed that it wasn't the realm where the dead go, it was in a medical bay of an unfamiliar ship, looking around the room she noticed some other beds and medical supplies that were in and also noticed her bandaged left arm scouting the room adjusting to her new surroundings.
"W-where am I." She asked herself trying to get on her feet but her legs were still weak to move. In her mind she would expect to be tied up by some who would like to take revenge on members of her species.
"Urgh, I wonder if I am a prisoner here. Or if I was captured by the bounty hunters." She said before noticing near her a small table with some food mainly fruits alongside fresh water.
"Hmm that is now off. Who would try to show kindness now to zygerrians." She said but took a jorgan fruit to eat not knowing that she was heard from outside by the droids.
"I will go report to the captains." Said one of the guard droids who were on the opposite side of the door, just when that one left the Zygerrian tried to open the door.
"Door is locked." She said but she knew what she had to do and pulled out something from her pocket like an electric needle to hack the door, "But not for long."
In the hangar
"This one sir is the most proficient weapon of the zygerrians the Electro-Whip, been a culture that is defined by slavery they try to capture not kill." Said OM 01 while Double D looked over it.
"It gives me shivers on my spine." Double D said before placing it back with the other things. "Even with that is everything catalogued?"
"Roger-Roger, everything catalogued and counted, but I have to tell you that what was else in the ship is beyond salvage." OM 01 said.
"Doesn't matter regarding that we shall figure something out." Double D said before a guard placed at the door of the medical bay came in.
"Captain Eddward she has woken up."
"What of the other guards?" Eddy asked.
"Still there sir." He said before receiving a message.
"Correction 3 of them are still there."
"Huh?" Ed asked confused.
"She tried to escape and one was damaged, but she was stunned." Reported the droid but even with that Double D still wanted to talk with her.
"She is probably confused I shall go to talk to her right now to clarify the situation." Double D said going with the guard droid.
"Prepare other 2, super battle droids this time." Eddy ordered as they went towards the medical bay.
The thing the Zygerrian expected was in all cases to not be captured by people she didn't want to bump into, she of course expected something like this to happen but she didn't at all expected for her to be in a CIS ship with droids guarding her. But of course when she managed to hack the door to open she didn't expected that, she of course didn't wanted to go down without a fight but she was of course outdone when she was hit by a stun laser from their blasters. She might have downed one but the others overcome her and now she was guarded by 2 droids in the medical bay.
"Don't try anything now."
"As if I will have another opportunity." Said the zygerrian female despite she was trying to figure something out just when someone knocked on the door.
"I believe one of the captains have arrived." Said one of the droids tracking the attention of the woman, captains plural how this could be possible she thought to herself as her gaze fixed on the droids whom one received a message.
"Yes sir you may enter, she wouldn't try anything now with us around." Said one of the guards before the door opened and to the zygerrian's surprise in came a boy who was very young who seemed to be quite shy.
"G-greetings I hope that you had rested." Said Double D although the Zygerrian was still puzzled by him, much less that he was called captain.
"I know that you didn't expect someone like me to be here and called captain alongside my friends who will come soon."
"Just between us I very much didn't expected to be now on a CIS ship. And you, a little boy is called captain alongside your friends whom you talk about." She commented.
"Yeah about that this ship is not longer CIS we kind off hijacked it unintentionally."
"How so?" She asked as Double D started to explain this in a short but explicit way possible which impressed her quite a lot.
"And this is how things went for a time."
"So you are telling me that everything was simply not expected to be in such a position from what I understand." She said.
"Indeed as you can see we were quite..."
"The trouble makers."
"You can say that in a way or the other." Double D said making her laugh a bit.
"I need to ask what happened to my ship?"
"Unfortunately your ship is beyond repair, but we managed to retrieve what was inside and catalogued it, they are in the hangar." Explained Double D before turning to a droid. "Bring please some of her stuff in."
"No, you don't need to." Said the girl and the droid stopped. "I want to tell you that I am really grateful of what you did to help me, not many would have done this, especially not a member of my kind."
"How so?"
"It is hard to tell to be honest." She said in a sad tone before Double D decided to try something for her.
"Would you like to meet my other friends?" Double D asked with a smile as the woman nodded.
"Do you think they will agree to let me meet them?" She asked.
"Of course, by the way what is your name? My name is Eddward but you can call me Double D." Double D asked with a smile.
"Amira Sinclair, but you can all me only Amira." She said with a smile.
"That we will do Amira." He said as both went outside the medical bay followed by the droids.
"By the way, do you really need those droid guards to follow us?" She asked.
"It is more my friend Eddy's idea, Ed of course wouldn't have done this because he would have been more lenient."
"There are other 2 with the same name as yours?"
"Indeed, we are kind of an interesting group." Double D said as she started to giggle.
"You really are funny."
On the bridge
"I hope we didn't make a bad choice of what we had done now." Eddy said while on the captain's chair.
"We didn't know that the one on board will be a zygerrian sir." Said the OOM commander.
"We shall still keep close watch until further notice." Eddy said.
"Ooh but Eddy I really like Miss Alien." Ed said.
"I didn't say you can't do it lumpy. But I would rather keep an eye." Eddy said before the door opened for Double D and the zygerrian to come in.
"Well good day gentleman I wish to present you Amira." Double D said pointing to the Zygerrian.
"Hallo my name is Ed." Said the stronger Ed in his goofy manner coming to her she expected to shake her hand but instead he hugged her which came as a surprise. "Pleasure to meet you."
"Ahh, nice to meet you too." She said although quite surprised by this reaction.
"Oh and the one over there is Eddy." Double D said pointing to the shorted Ed who just came in.
"Pleasure to meet you I would shake hands if your friend would let me." She said pointing to Ed who was still hugging her.
"No need for physical interactions." Eddy said while he and Double D were trying to take their friend off her which they managed to do.
"Thanks, I thought I wouldn't manage to breathe properly after a time." She said.
"Excuse our friend he is quite enthusiastic regarding meeting others." Double D said.
"Especially extraterrestrials." Eddy murmured before been nudged by Double D.
"Anyways I believe you are even more bewildered by the situation."
"Well, I never in my life did I expected that 3 kids who nearly share the same name would manage to get their hands on some CIS ships. And this is by all accounts."
"Indeed but about this fact I need to ask why are you so far away from Zygerria your home planet? We checked your ship's log, well the droids did." Eddy said.
"Well I should have expected this question but before that can I ask why you had said that your friend is enthusiastic about meeting extraterrestrials?" Amira asked crossing her arms catching them by surprise.
"Well let's just say that we came from a place where we don't quite go in the outer space, especially not the likes of us not until we came across this ship." Double D said.
"You told me the story already and I really am impressed about this, you surely garnered my respect." She said with a smile.
"Yet I do agree with my friend why have you left Zygerria?" Double D asked coming to her.
"Well if you really want to know my motivation is the desire to escape." Amira started looking melancholically at the outer space from the window and her reflection was visible.
"You don't know how it is to be seen with distain by others, due to the fact that my culture is based on slavery we aren't seen in the best of light. Not to mention the fact that I am the niece of a prolific slaver, the thing that forced my hand when he forced me to accompany his crew to go to capture slaves from a peaceful village. During that 'mission' to call it I was injured severely by a Nexu a wild feline beast, a villager with family came and rescued me, I was grateful for their kindness that moment when you are under extreme circumstances was eye opening for me in most cases my culture says that one can't indulge in kindness and you have to be tough but in that moment I felt a real sense of warm I wanted to repay them somehow but the problem was that when I wanted that the village was attacked by members of my uncle's crew and one of the villagers an old man was killed alongside a child, witnessing that went a rage and started to attack them while the villagers were leaving. Not all of them had managed some of them were caught me included and was brought before my uncle who was angry for what I did. I didn't however cared but I was forced to stay in a cell for a time thinking that it will teach me a lesson what it did instead was making for me to develop a desire to find a different path. Luckily for me we are also trained in the martial arts and how to fight I figured out that bounty hunting or freighter transport is a much better job. Of course in my case I wanted to become a bounty hunter, problem is my uncle figured out and tried to come after me barely managed to escape. Truth is if it weren't for you I might not be alive." Amira explained winning the sympathy from the Eds.
"We are sorry to hear this Amira." Double D said placing his hand on her shoulder.
"Ed have sympathy." Ed said.
"You said about your uncle I have to ask, what about your parents?" Asked Eddy.
"This is another thing which I hate about my uncle, he is a blackmailer. He forced my parents to hand me over to him, they were normal merchants and wanted to disassociate me from the practice of slavery. Problem is they didn't not managed I haven't saw them since I was 8."
"This is unfortunate but maybe we can help you. You see we have 2 Gozanti ships, one of them we already named, we can give you the second one." Double D said but Amira was totally shocked by this.
"Thank but I can't accept such an offer since a Gozanti is very expensive and very valuable." Amira said.
"I do agree with that." Eddy commented receiving another nudge from Double D.
"Even with that we can try to help you. Where was the destination you were taking?"
"I wanted to go to Takodana that world is between the out rim and mid rim."
"But Takodana is a place where smugglers are going it is also a pirate planet." Said OM 01.
"At the moment this is the only place where I can go to lose the track of my pursuers. My uncle had hired a bounty hunter to capture me." Amira explained before a bip on the consol of the droid near them came in.
"Sirs we got a signal, ship incoming from port side." Said the droid pilot as the eds turned to the port side to see a small ship coming from outer space.
"That ship belongs to the bounty hunter that is chasing me." Amira said recognizing it and looking at it with anger "Grrr, one never forgets a person who nearly vaporized you."
"Try to get us away from it." Double D ordered.
"Captain Eddward it is a small ship we can take care of it easily." Said OOM commander droid before a message came in.
"No need to use lethal force now."
"Sirs the occupant of the ship wants to communicate with us."
"It will surely ask about Amira." Eddy said while Double D tried to thinking of an idea.
"Can't let it do it." Ed commented and the smarted Ed knew what they could do.
"I think I know how to do it." Double D said turning to the tactical droid "Go on the seat try to stall the bounty hunter, don't say anything about Amira's ship."
"Understood sir." The T series droid said going to the chair before the hologram of a bounty hunter came in, it was something that looked like it had the head of a fly.
"What species is he?" Double D asked Amira.
"That is Greedo the name speaks for itself as his personality, he is a Roddian bounty hunter." Amira whispered.
"Greeting I am looking for a ship with a specific occupant, have you seen any ship coming around this parts."
"Negative we barely came here and if there was a ship then I don't think we managed to pick up any signal because it might have either left or it had exploded, there was nothing on our scanners." Said T series tactical droid.
"That can't be possible since my scanner indicated that a ship I was looking should be here immobilized." He said.
"It is possible we didn't pick it on our scanners. Or it is possible that it exploded." Said the tactical droid.
"But there isn't any debris on my scanner." Said the bounty hunter as the tactical droid received a message on an electric tablet.
"Wait a moment. It seems there was a signal that was caught right after we arrived and it seems it went to Tatoo system." Said the T series droid in reality he was reading a script written by Double D.
"Tatoo you say, meaning Tatooine? A good place to go I have to tell especially to hide. Yet are you sure about that?"
"The signal is caught after 4 minutes and 22 seconds after our arrival. This is all we can tell." He said.
"Thank you anyways for the help." Said the Rodian bounty hunter as his hologram disappeared and the ship outside started to change course.
"Well that went pretty well; problem is we wouldn't be able to go to Tatooine next." Double D said.
"I wasn't going there anyways, beside good idea that you mentioned the place. Don't want to go to that sand ball anyways."
"But he said that might be a good place to hide." Eddy said.
"And it is the place with a bunch of bounty hunters who would not shy away from getting a bounty." Amira commented.
"So in this case we shall go to Takodana." Ed said with enthusiasm.
"Set course for Takodana." Double D ordered.
"Roger-Roger." The droids said as they started to plug in the coordinates.
"I have to ask something by the way cat woman, how do you know that Takodana is safer then the place where that bounty hunter went?" Eddy said.
"It's one of the many places where one wouldn't expect to go. Like what your droids said, it is called a pirate planet but it isn't only pirates, they are bounty hunters and even smugglers." She said.
"You said that you want either smuggler or bounty hunter, you think by going there you will manage?" Double D asked.
"I have my ways, don't worry. But I really appreciate what you do for me in this situation I really do." Amira said with a smile.
"Don't worry it is nothing, we try to help when we can." Double D said.
"Especially when we got no choice twice the republic told us to help them in some affairs. It isn't as if it wasn't a good thing." Eddy said.
"Well with the ships that you hijacked I doubt they wouldn't have done so." Amira said.
"Well the jedi say what you say about them they do need some help when we had to find a station or send supplies to a resistance movement on the side of the Republic." Eddy commented.
"Obviously, just between us Zygerria considers the jedi as enemies because of the fact that a thousand years ago they destroyed the slave empire that we got and for us it was a great loss. Well for the ones that want to do the practice that is." Amira said.
"And you do still have the resentment regarding that?" Double D asked.
"On slavery no we are on the same page in my case."
"And so are we." The smarter Ed said as they entered hyperspace.
"I saw however some pictures from your home world of Zygerria, it is a great place if I say so myself especially the architecture, too bad however that the culture revolves around slavery."
"We sometimes are visited for the beautiful sites; however simple tourism isn't bringing much money."
"And slavery is suppose to bring more?" Eddy asked.
"Don't get excited, there aren't many who want to take slaves, only few." She said.
"It is not pleasant in any case, good thing you decided to leave this practice behind." Eddy said.
"Believe me I am also glad also about that." She said.
"We are exiting hyperspace." Reported the pilot as they came out before a lush green world.
"Is that Takodana?" Ed asked.
"Affirmative, this is a lush green forested world, the bodies of water are mainely the lakes, as for the settlements there aren't too many, there is however one that stands before the others." Said the T Series droid showing a hologram of what appeared to be a castle.
"Wow this place has a medieval castle?"
"It is actually a cantina, where different bounty hunters meet, that is the place I have to go from there, fate shall decide." Amira said.
"We shall go with you still and we will go in style." Eddy said.
Sometime later a Gozanti was landing near the Castle, for the Eds it was a sight to behold. Ships were everywhere in a background of a green lush forest alongside a castle, of course one thing was the landscape, another was who was owning the ships.
"Well this place looks nice if we exclude who the ships belong to." Double D said a bit nervous as they exited their Gozanti, which was the second they had acquired.
"Still nervous for what you might find here?" Amira asked.
"Well we barely managed to explore the galaxy and we are able to deal with battle droids of the CIS and even the Republic and what tasks we might get up until now but it isn't very often that we came on planets that are pirate or smuggler worlds." Double D said.
"I know, but do you want to know why I chose Takodana and why."
"Aside from trying to get away from a life as a slaver to begin a new one here, that is surely a starter." Eddy commented.
"More action." Ed said.
"Simply put it, this castle belongs to Maz Kanata despite been a smuggler it is said that she is helpful in a lot of cases." She explained.
"Wonder if we can meet her." Asked Ed.
"You will, but you have to follow me I will do the talking so there wouldn't be incidents." Amira said.
"Understood there." Eddy said before turning to the droids.
"You guys stay by the ship and guard it, don't let anything happen, don't be distracted and don't leave the ship." Eddy said.
"Roger Roger." They said while they closed the door.
"Let's go in then." Amira said she placed a hood on over her head as they walked towards the castle and below there was a full bar, where there were lots of aliens of different species some very muscular and threatening others very shady. The Eds were of course nervous about this but followed Amira to the bar where a short alien woman with glasses was tending the table.
"Well I thought my rules applied that there should be no children here." She started but not in a menacing tone as she noticing the Eds and started to adjust the glasses that were able to work to increase the view.
"Hmm quite interesting, 3 young boys who befriended a zygerrian isn't something one sees every day." She said.
"Aah, greeting madam." Double D started as polite as possible.
"What brings all 4 of you here?"
"Helping a friend, making a better life for herself." Double D said.
"Indeed I can see that very well." Said Maz. "Zygerrian who refused to go down a dark path, very noble and I saw it before."
"It is something that I need to do." Amira said.
"Indeed and a big change of fortune will surely come for you soon." Maz said.
"Hopefully a positive one alongside us." Eddy commented.
"You never know." Maz said as she poured in 4 cups 3 of them with water for the boys.
"I will come for you in a moment." Maz said as she moved to what appeared to be a separate room.
"I have to ask is she this mysterious usually?" Eddy asked taking his cup with water.
"It's the first time I met her to tell you the truth, never met her until now to be honest." Amira said.
"At least she didn't gave us an alcoholic drink." Double D said drinking some of the water.
"Well like she said, kids shouldn't be supposed to be in this place to begin with." Amira said taking a sip from her own drink. "On the other hand I really do admit that she has an air of mystery." She said before Ed started to look at the door where Maz went and he started to go there out of curiosity wanting to open the door, however it was opened by Maz herself.
"Oh you can't go there young man, it is only me who is allowed." Maz said coming out from it.
"Curiosity might be good, but sometimes it is necessary to keep yourself away." Maz said grabbing Ed by the sleeve to get him back to his friends.
"Tell me a story Maz." He said as they were going back to his friends.
"Your friend should sometimes watch his step." Maz said.
"Excuse Ed, Maz he is usually very curious." Double D said.
"No worries there young ones, yet you have to be aware in what places you go." She said.
"We want that with full honesty." Double D said.
"You know I lived for a long time and you could surely tell from how I look. And I have to tell you it amazes me that you kids managed to do the near impossible of hijacking several CIS ships." Maz started startling the Eds.
"H-how do you know?" Double D asked as Maz made a sign for the 3 of them to come closer, showing them a minor article.
"This minor article tells about 3 CIS ships that disappeared." Maz said with a smile. "And I can tell you that you 3 are surely the ones who did it, don't worry I know how to keep a secret"
"You are a real mystery Mrs Kanata." Double D said.
"Sometimes been a mystery brings a lot of benefits. You will surely need to very soon. By the way what are your names?"
"Oh I am Ed." Ed said.
"My name is Eddward."
"And I am Eddy."
"3 boys with nearly the same name, but outcaste in their home and so you 3 have to stick together. It's like the force really could work in different ways." Maz said.
"You are a very strange person Maz." Eddy said.
"I am told that a lot of times." Maz said going back to his cups.
"She really does have a point here boys." Amira said before turning to Maz.
"I need some information here." She started.
"Of course."
"We shall wait for you outside near the ship Amira." Double D said.
"Very well I will be outside in a moment boys, but watch your step outside." She said as the 3 started to move out of the castle where the ships were parked.
"The galaxy really has lots of surprises." Said Eddy.
"The only thing that gives me a frozen spine is who is around this place." Double D said.
"Ed doesn't like this too." Ed said.
"Let's get near our ship and wait for Amira." Eddy said before 3 aliens came before them, the leader was a bulky one.
"Well well what do we have here boys." Said an alien with 4 arms with a sickly grin on his face. "You 3 seem lost here, not quite the place to be for you if I can tell you that."
"We were just passing by, not doing anything." Double D said.
"Not until now, but now you have to do something because you 3 did stole something from us." Said the second one a Weekway.
"Ed." Eddy turned to him.
"Didn't do anything Ed promises." Ed said.
"We haven't seen you before and if we by mistake took something we do apologies. Yet we don't know what we did." Double D said before the 4 armed alien took him up to show their ship.
"You put your ship on our spot."
"We will move it immediately."
"Do that and something else you will do." The four armed alien said with a grin which wasn't good news for them.
In the meantime
"It's exactly what I needed to know thank you a lot." The zygerrian female said before sensing something that wasn't right.
"Anytime child." Maz said before noticing her posture which she knew what it meant "By the way we might need to check on your friends." Maz said.
"There is something wrong, they are surely back at the ship, but something isn't right."
"Let's better check." Maz said as both exited only to find them in trouble by 3 pirates.
"Oh no." Amira said with fear and worry for them but immediately knew what she must do, luckily she had he gear ready but she would also need reinforcements and went to the Gozanti ship belonging to the Eds to knock on the door for the droids to open it.
"Yes madam."
"Arm yourselves your captains needs help."
"This isn't…..something…we expected to do." Eddy said as they were forced to drag the pirate's ship and even if Ed was more powerful than his friends it wasn't very easy since the ship didn't had something like a ramp or wells to move it easily plus the 3 pirates were forcing them.
"It was either that or we would have crushed your skulls." Said a dug pirate.
"Seriously I am not used for such activity." Double D called.
"Oh you will soon." Said the Weekway pirate as he was laughing with malice while drinking very greedily before them.
"You are so cruel." Ed complained.
"They told us a lot of times." He said wanting to drink but an electro whip came grabbing his arm. "huh?"
"Don't you know that child abuse is forbidden?" Amira called.
"A Zygerrian, didn't know those were your slaves?"
"They are not slaves you moron." Amira said pressing on the electrocuting button for the pirate to fell down. "They are my friends."
"Hey no one is attacking us." Called the dug without paying dearly.
"You were the ones who attacked first." She called as the dug charged at her but she managed to doge him giving him a lethal punch in the stomach.
"They didn't do much this bunch anyways." Said the 4 armed alien coming towards her, while he was distracted 4 battle droids came to free the Eds.
"You guys arrived just on time." Eddy said.
"Amira informed us of the situation sirs." Said one of the droids.
"Let's get out of here."
"But Eddy we have to help Amira." Ed said.
"From what I can tell she is doing quite well." Eddy said noticing her fighting with a lot of courage, very graceful and very fast however she seems to be getting a bit tired which Double D noticed.
"She is getting tired." Double D said.
"Captain Eddward I have to informed you that the medical droid have said that Amira still needs to recover she isn't in full strength to fight him on her own. Although she fends that Besalisk off well she wouldn't win." The droid said as Amira was now grabbed by that alien.
"Oh dear." Double D exclaimed as the girl was struggling in that hulking beast's grip.
"Not so tough I guess isn't it?" Said the Besalisk with malice.
"What do we do?" Ed asked as the 3 boys looked at the scene after a time Eddy couldn't take it.
"Droids do what must be done with that pirate." Eddy ordered.
"Eddy?" Double D asked confused as the droids prepared their weapons as the Besalisk was getting her firmly in his grip like a bear hug which wasn't at all a friendly one, he was literally suffocating her.
"Who has now the upper hand zygerrian?" He asked.
"You….will….not succeed." She said.
"I don't think in such position." He said as he was squishing her hard, however after 2 seconds she felt the grip lowering and looking in his eyes he saw that they were now absentminded before noticing several droids behind him whose guns were smoking.
"Urgh." He made.
"Hiiissss." She hissed at him as she removed himself from the grip only to punch him hard in the face to drop him down.
"Big bully." She commented as the Eds came to her.
"Amira are you alright." Double D said.
"I will be fine." She said stretching her arms "I just need to readjust myself, the medical droid said that I need more rest before doing things like this, but still I believe it was necessary."
"I got a first aid kit on me." He said as Maz came to them.
"Well I knew it could come to this especially with Tamur. That is why I put the rule no children to be here." Maz said.
"We apologies for this Maz we didn't wanted to cause trouble." Double D said.
"Oh you don't need to apologies; Tamur was usually the one who was causing troubles here with my customers, he alongside the others. Yet I want to ask what did you thought of the situation that was unfolding before you."
"It was amazing to see her in action, she despite still needing recovery she fought very diligently." Double D said.
"Was amazing for me as well." Eddy said.
"Ed liked it."
"That is one expect from one who is also having the force on her side." Maz said confusing the zygerrian.
"What?"
"I lived a long time to know when someone is force sensitive, when she senses that something isn't right she went to help you. And she surely knows when something" Maz said.
"But mostly jedi are with the force." Amira said.
"The force is in anything, what did you felt when for example slaves were mistreated." Maz asked making Amira think.
"Pain, suffering, sadness those were the things that I felt. However when I tried to help a village get away I felt compassion and a feeling of fulfillment." Amira said.
"That is why you decided to abandon the old life, the force surely had something better for you child and I believe that by helping them, you earned already something." Maz said pointing to the ship of the pirates which was a modified Gozanti which had 2 extra engines, one on each wing.
"Sirs this Gozanti is a modified version, the engines make it faster but also according to the data on the pad it also has a clocking device to cloak the ship's signature, ideal for smuggling." Reported a droid, not too long after that they were inside to inspect it, the ship was actually packed with some goods for either trade or smuggling the only minus was that the interior has to be cleaned.
"Well this ship isn't something that we want to be honest." Double D said.
"Maybe you don't but to be honest it is perfect for my use." Amira said with a smile.
"I hope the pirates wouldn't come after you to reclaim it."
"Without their brutish captain it's doubtful." Eddy said before an idea came.
"Indeed."
"By the way Amira you should come to where we left, we might help you with something extra." Eddy said.
"I will come but what might it be?"
"For starters a cleanup and second, there might be something you forgot on the Fortune Favor." Eddy said.
"I don't think I forgot something."
"Yet Eddy has a point, helping you with cleaning might be the best idea." Double D said.
"I shall come without delay."
"Before you leave I would like to speak with you boys." Maz said as the 3 boys followed her outside.
"What is it you want to speak with us?" Double D said.
"I have to say that 3 boys like you going on strange adventures is not something one would expect especially with hijacked ships." Maz said.
"It was either that or our home becoming a battlefield." Explained Double D.
"And that is why I like you, you 3 are good kids. But I have to tell you that here there are 2 things we don't accept here good and kids."
"Well we have to accept the fact that with such customers it is no wonder actually." Double D said.
"That is why it is a rule I had to place, but even with that I believe that what you are doing will make you go quite far if you know when to not place yourselves into sticky situations." Maz said.
"It's not our fault that it happened several times, in most cases we weren't quite the most popular kids in the cul-de-sac. And even I have to admit that it isn't like we had any choice." Eddy commented.
"Indeed, but despite this you are doing not many people would do in such times and that is helping people, like what you did now. And I believe there is something each of you would like. Follow me" Maz said as the Eds followed her to her room where she opened a drawer.
"So what each one of you were doing before meeting your new friend?"
"I personally, make a collection of plants and information regarding different places." Double D said.
"Only that?" Maz asked pulling out a memory card. "How about this memory card, about the flora of Takodana many medical plants here."
"Wonderful."
"Just wanting good pictures and if something interesting to be collected." Eddy said and Maz came out with a lamp that was giving different holographic forms and a picture of the landscape with the castle.
"What do you think?"
"More then I hoped." Eddy said.
"Ed only wants adventure and nice stuff, don't like violence."
"How about something special." Maz said pulling out what appeared to be a helmet.
"Ooh Ed like it." Ed said taking the helmet.
"That is something really nice, thank you a lot again madam."
"Please you can call me Maz, now better off you go."
"Thank you again Maz." Double D said as the 3 went outside not knowing that Maz gave them something from a collection of special crystals.
Back at the Fortune Favor
"Well here it is, with everything now in order, it is one could call ship shaped and ready to sail." Double D said.
"Seriously I really am grateful for everything you did boys of course I gained this ship by accident not so much as a gift." Amira said.
"At least it will be in better hands then those pirates would ever do and also Amira meet your crew." Eddy said whistling for some droids to come in 12 battle droids, 3 commandos, 5 superbattle droids all of them having different markings surely made by Ed but representing either her ears or a lightning bolt.
"You give me kind of a lot here." Amira said.
"It was Double D idea and to be frank we are packed with them, when we took this ship it had a large load of them. And we have some to spare so no worries here." Eddy said as she smiled at them.
"Thank you a lot I will always remember you three." She said.
"Wait before leaving how about we immortalize this moment." Double D said as he gave the camera to OM 01.
"All of us smile." Ed said taking all 3 of them as the droid made the picture.
"Done." Said the droid.
"Well I believe this is goodbye then." Double D said making Ed a bit sad.
"Actually who knows, maybe we will meet again actually. By all accounts no one knows how things could be." Amira said.
"It is still amazing that Maz told us that you are force sensitive."
"She was proven correct because I sensed when you were in trouble while still talking to her."
"Wonder why you didn't become a Jedi?" Eddy asked.
"Jedi usually take force sensitive children from a young age of course it must sometimes be with the consensus of the parents however I told you earlier that for zygerrians the jedi are sworn enemies despite sometimes been on the same page in my case. Since this aspect is engrained try to think how zygerrians on Zygerria would think about one who is a Jedi."
"The total outcast of society for zygerrian jedi, no wonder your uncle and probably parents didn't want that if you even were on the list. We know how the outcast part is." Eddy commented.
"Outcast or not there is one thing I know, all 4 of us are on the same page regarding outcast but to tell you the truth, it might be too late for me in my society who probably wouldn't change. But in the case of you 3 I am sure you will manage to be among the others, they just need to find out that you aren't as they labeled you." She said as she and her droid crew was going inside her new ship.
"You think it will be a good idea." Double D asked.
"Unlike me you still have time, but to tell you the truth it is better to do it sooner than later. Farewell boys who knows when we will meet again." Amira said as she entered her ship with the door closing.
"The ship is detaching." Reported OM 01.
"Well this really was a good experience." Commented Double D.
"You can say that again, boys set course for home." Eddy said before Ed tried the helmet on his head only to find that inside was a small box.
"Roger Roger."
"Guys look Maz gave me extra." He said showing them the small box that he opened and inside were 3 pendants with a crystal.
"Oh my I wonder why she gave those pendants."
"Who cares I want one." Eddy said taking one.
"Sirs, I have to tell you that the crystals that the pendants have are kyber crystals, use in the Jedi weapons." Said OM 01.
"The Jedi weapons?" Double D asked getting away from it.
"They are not dangerous, but it must not be kept near high temperatures or to be placed in something that emanates large quantities of electricity, they could cause explosions."
"That is another reason why we don't like Jedi." Said another droid.
"As long as they are not used as weapons we shall keep them." Eddy said placing it around his neck. "Besides who knows, just like with Amira the Force was with her, so let it be with us too."
"Roger Roger." Said the droids.
"For now set course for home, tomorrow we shall take a break from exploring. You guys shall also take a break." Double D said.
"We thank you sir." Said the droid.
"And I want you guys to help me with the calendar by the way." Eddy said to his friends.
"It will be so great." Ed exclaimed.
