Notes
Hey Reader, this is Worseman here, and here's the sixth chapter of this story.
I was originally going to write a much longer chapter but my brain fried so I did my best to write it. It's very hard to continue writing for me when I run out of ideas. This chapter might be boring to you so I might add some scenes, rewrite this chapter, or both soon, later, or, not because this chapter might not be to your liking.

I did not own any characters from Mahoka Kouko no Rettousei series except my OC.
"I cannot even believe that Kazuhiro-San did an unexpected stun yesterday, Erika," Miyuki said in a shocked tone.
"Yep, he even made Mizuki faint!" Erika added loudly.
"Erika, Please don't make it very concerning and I honestly don't blame Kazuhiro-San for that," Mizuki pleased Erika not to be furious at Kazuhiro.
The group, consisting of Miyuki, Erika, Mizuki, Tatsuya, and Leo, were all having a conversation about the incident the previous day while walking in the street to the school. It was a complete mixture of shenanigans, wildness, and exhaustion like the two previous days, such as verbal arguments between Clubs, unauthorized magic use, Tatsuya's popularity, and latest, Kazuhiro's stun. Everything was pretty much crazy and they honestly wished that the recruitment day should end right now.
"Mizuki's right, Erika. You should lay off Kaz," Leo agreed with Mizuki.
"Nobody wants your opinion, Musclehead!" Erika retorted in annoyance.
"Huh! What do you say, Girly!" Leo retorted back.
Tatsuya sighed and shook his head at the argument between Leo and Erika with disappointment. "That's enough. As Leo said, Kazuhiro didn't do it with bad intentions although his action is quite confusing, to be honest. According to the report, many witnesses saw him taunting those three offenders to stop their magic attack on their target by throwing eggs at their leader twice."
"Ah, right. I completely forgot that these guys were the ones that Kaz was taunting," said Leo.
"He may be a little troubled, but I kinda like his style, especially jumping off the building," commented Erika with her smirk. "Plus, I wondered how the Chef of the Public Morals Committee Chef reacted to?"
"Well, She looked exhausted and terrible from yesterday due to arresting many people, but I think she had a headache after catching Kazuhiro," Miyuki replied to Erika while trying not to paint Mari in a bad spotlight.
"Really?" asked Erika.
"Yes," Miyuki replied.
As the group was talking, they heard a familiar male voice shouting Miyuki's name.
"Miyuki-San!"
The group turned around to see Kazuhiro walking towards them with the plastic bag in his hand. They were curious to see him bringing a plastic bag with him and wondered what was inside the bag. As he reached them, he lifted the bag to Miyuki. "Here."
"What?" Miyuki asked with her raised eyes.
"This is the apology gift for asking you to use your spell to dry me yesterday," Kazuhiro explained about the plastic bag.
"And what is inside the plastic bag?" questioned Erika.
"Pandan Chiffon Cake for Miyuki-San along with the bag of nuts and raspberry muffins for Mizuki-San," Kazuhiro answered, revealing the food inside the plastic bag.
The group except Tatsuya was shocked that Kazuhiro bought a gift for both Miyuki and Mizuki as an apology gift even though both girls seem hesitant of accepting it as they never want it from him.
Seeing their hesitancy, Kazuhiro sighed in little disappointment and began to persuade, "You should accept it. I cannot eat everything or share with my class who might not be into some sweet pastry. Chiffon cakes go well at tea parties, you know."
"Really?" Miyuki raised her eyebrow in question but became convinced. "If that's the case, I will accept it."
Miyuki reached her hand out to the plastic bag and grabbed it. She took it away from Kazuhiro and looked at him with appreciation. "Thank you, Kazuhiro-San, for the gift and your suggestion."
"You're welcome," Kazuhiro said, acknowledging Miyuki's appreciation before turning to Mizuki. "I bought three muffins for you to share with Leo-San and Erika-San."
"Thank you, Kazuhiro-San," Mizuki thanked Kazuhiro.
Seeing both Miyuki and Mizuki accepting his apology gift, Kazuhiro began to walk past them while putting his headphone on his both ears before saying, "I have to go. See you in school."
As the group watched Kazuhiro walking away, they had a little difficulty processing what just occurred even though they understood. Erika had some trouble thinking of Kazuhiro's impression because of his personality-wise, though seeing his decent side, he may not be that bad after all as he may have difficulty with the conversation.
"Huh, I guess he did care for someone's feelings…" Erika commented on Kazuhiro.
"Erika, that's rude to say that about Kazuhiro-San. He tries his best," Mizuki reprimanded Erika.
"I'm not saying it in a bad way," Erika assured with a little hint of panic.
While Erika and Mizuki were talking, Tatsuya was still looking at Kazuhiro from behind, examining his behavior. He did become a little suspicious of him at first when he and the group met him and Daisuke the previous two days and he knew both the law and consequences of wielding an illegal magic item. He may be one of his aunt's servants to spy on him and Miyuki or anyone who had a grudge against his family. However, seeing Kazuhiro twice, his suspicions were cleared away. He hoped that he was wrong about it, but he could ask an informant to dig into him later on.
Noon
First High School, Hachioji, Tokyo
"I heard that you brought a cake for Miyuki and her friend, Kazuhiro-Kun."
Kazuhiro and Mari were walking together in the hallway, having a mere conversation. They seemed like friends or mentors and mentees, but in reality, he was however detained while being observed by her because of the previous day.
Kazuhiro was not bothered by the few people who were looking at him with their eyes filled with both doubt and amazement. The news did not spread like wildfire like Tatsuya being a public morals committee member despite him being a course two student and he was seriously being committed to his job. Instead, it slowly died down, but few students still remembered him performing a dangerous stunt.
"Yes, I did and I hope that you and your councils have enjoyed it," said Kazuhiro.
"We did enjoy it, especially Suzane commented that it tastes fluffy and sweet because the pastry is from different countries," Mari replied with a small smile.
"Glad to hear it."
"Where do you buy it from?" Mari asked, wanting to know the location of the bakery store.
"It's on the straight path to the school, but I can trust that you can find it in no time."
Mari became discouraged by Kazuhiro's answer. "... Ugh, fine. I will find it myself when I have more spare time."
As the duo reached the stairs, they began to walk down.
"So, what do you think of this school, Kazuhiro-Kun?" Mari questioned Kazuhiro.
"What kind of question are you asking me?" Kazuhiro asked in confusion.
"Just answer my damn question," Mari said, forcing Kazuhiro to answer with a little irritation.
Kazuhiro thought of a thoughtful answer with any suitable words to describe the school and it came to his mind. He began to answer without hesitation, "It's perfect on the outside but faulty on the inside."
"How so, Kazuhiro-Kun?" asked Mari.
"Most bloom students were too prideful and self-conscious, thinking that they are superior because of both their magic and a higher score of their practical skills. They also underestimate the weed students who can still use magic whether it's combat magic or not, " Kazuhiro explained his answer to Mari before looking away and covering his mouth from yawning loudly. He turned back to Mari and continued, "There are many discriminations that lead to more trouble and the people might end up hurting themselves. As for the teacher, they did care for our well-being, except I think one or two teachers only cared for the one who was either in bloom or from magician families like eighteen assistance houses or hundred families."
Mari was honestly impressed to hear an explanation from the unexpected Kazuhiro, who was always both sleeping and did not care at all. He was very perspective to see both pros and cons that the school had and was not afraid to speak out about the problem around both students and staff members. Whether he was brave or ignorant, he was mostly correct. She felt like she should recruit him into the public morals committee just like Tatsuya even though it was mostly done by Miyuki.
"If you are thinking about me accepting your offer to become one of your clubs, I have to decline it," Kazuhiro said in a deadpan tone.
Mari clicked her tongue in irritation that Kazuhiro knew what she was going to do. "Damnit, how do you know that?"
"Your expression easily shows your true intention," Kazuhiro replied as he shrugged his shoulders. "Plus, you have Tatsuya-San on your side doing your job."
Mari raised her eyebrow. "How do you know Tatsuya?"
"My friend and I met him and his friends at the cafe on the first day of the recruitment day," replied Kazuhiro.
As Kazuhiro and Mari reached the ground level, they continued to walk in the hallway.
"I wondered what kind of friend you have besides Tatsuya's friends?" Mari mumbled with her intriguing tone before frowning.
"You don't want to know about it, because you will lose your brain cells," Kazuhiro responded, shooting Mari's curiosity down.
Mari turned to Kazuhiro with a confused expression.
"How so?"
"You don't want to know about it…" Kazuhiro replied with his deadpan tone.
Mari raised her eyes in curiosity as she assumed that Kazuhiro was embarrassed about having a friend outside of the school. As long as they were not dangerous people.
"By the way, you seem to have a close relationship with one of Tatsyua's friends, Chiba Erika?" asked Kazuhiro.
Mari became quiet at Kazuhiro's assumption but spoke out to answer as she seemed not able to keep it a secret, especially his glance at her. "...Yes but, she and I are not doing well because I'm dating one of the Chiba Siblings."
Kazuhiro began to think of the identities of Chiba's Siblings, but knowing their family's background and information, he thought of one of their siblings even though he might have raised her suspicions about him. "... Chiba Naotsugu?"
Mari was shocked by Kazuhiro's guess and questioned. "How do you know that?"
"Came across his older brother…" Kazuhiro replied with half an answer as he left out his private detective career in his reply.
"Don't tell me that you got into serious trouble?" Mari speculated in little disbelief while facepalmed. She wondered if she made the correct decision to be in contact with him.
"Not exactly… more like meeting through my adoptive brother," Kazuhiro replied with an explanation. In truth, he first met Toshikazu and Ingaski in the agency for their request to team up for the dangerous cases the previous three years.
"Right…" Mari replied with suspicion before giving up on further questions.
"You should spend some time with Erika on weekends or after school to get to know more about her," Kazuhiro advised Mari, hoping that it could be helpful for her.
Hearing Kazuhiro's unexpected advice, Mari became conflicted about whether she should accept it to build up her relationship with Erika or not because it could cause her to be more hated. She should think more about it as she wanted to prove to her that she was not an obstruction in Naotsugu's life but his girlfriend.
"It's your choice whether you want to do it or not," Kazuhiro said, turning his face forward.
"I will think about it and thanks for your mere advice," Mari replied before asking. "Are you very worried that Erika-San might do something bad to you for advising me?"
"Not a chance and she already has a person to bicker with," Kazuhiro assured Mari.
[~~~~~]
Erika sneezed.
"Erika, are you having a cold?" Mizuki asked in concern.
"No. I just have a feeling that someone is talking bad behind my back," Erika replied, shrugging Mizuki's concern. She then began to think, 'Is it that blockhead or someone else?'

Daisuke sorted many budget papers from many various clubs into different sections that were classified as the price such as low and high. He was honestly tired from all the work he did with Suzune, who was almost in the same state as him. He was a little worried for her well-being but knowing her, she could take care of herself and knew when to stop. Nevertheless, he wanted her to take a break and do it for her even though he was a little familiar with paperwork.
Miyuki walked towards Daisuke and Suzune with two teacups with white steam shot up on the black wooden round tray and placed it on their table in front of them. Suzune looked up at Miyuki and was about to question her for it but Miyuji beat it to her.
"It's from Mayumi and she wanted you and Daisuke to take a break since she was worried for both of you," Miyuki said to Suzune and Daisuke.
"How unusual but kind of her but did she do anything to our tea?" Suzune questioned, glancing at Mayumi who was checking the terminal device with a skeptical look.
Miyuki shook her head in response. "No, Suzune. I was the one who made the tea and Mayumi ordered me to do so."
Suzune remained doubtful of Miyuki's answer since she thought that Miyuki was also ordered not to reveal the culprit, Mayumi. However, sensing the truth in her voice, she softened and smiled in appreciation. "Thank you, Miyuki."
"Your welcome," Miyuki smiled back as she went back to work.
Daisuke reached his hand out to grab the cup and drink it.
Suzune took a sip from her tea and turned to him. "I appreciate your help with our paperwork Daisuke."
"No problem, because I'm worried for your health," admitted Daisuke.
"I can take care of myself and you should do the same," Suzune sighed in both amusement and displeasure at Daisuke. Even though she was happy for him to help her, she was worried for his sake because he needed to take care of himself too. She knew his attitude and style as she remembered the time that he came to her rescue to protect her from being bullied.
"Yes, Suzune. I will take your advice," Daisuke said with a smile, making Suzune flush a little.
'Curse you with your smile and words, Daisuke!' Suzune thought in embarrassment as she quickly turned around and began to drink her tea for her cover-up.
Seeing Suzune and Daisuke's interaction, Mayumi was smirking at them for being lovey-dovey from her perspective. She saw her blushing for the first time because she tried to jest with her with a romance joke and she was never affected until now. She was glad to see her enjoying with him normally because she always interacts with anyone in her professional way as the treasurer all the time even though she talked normally during lunchtime. She knew about her family being extra as their number was stripped away and her father was tragically excluded from the magician community.
"Mayumi, here's the report of the budget."
Mayumi snapped out of her gaze and looked at Miyuki who was holding a tablet. She reached her hand out and took it while thanking her. "Thank you, Miyuki."
Miyuki bowed her head down in return but her eyes followed Mayumi's gaze to Daisuke and Suzune. She smiled, knowing their interaction but quickly walked away to return to her work.
"So, have you had any thought of joining the school council?" Suzune asked Daisuke.
Daisuke shook his head in denial. "No, I don't think I'm suitable for the work that the council despite I'm doing right now."
"How so?" Suzune raised her eyebrow. "I'm sure that you're doing well with it."
"I hate to say this, but I honestly don't want to be a burden to you and others in the council because I might get careless with it and do something wrong to bring them down to the mud," Daisuke admitted while rubbing the back of his head.
"Don't be dismissive, Daisuke. You're not a burden to me or others because you're the only friend that I can speak with," Suzune reassured her with a small smile.
Feeling a sense of comfort, Daisuke felt relaxed by Suzune's words that he was not bothering her with his lack of ability. He smiled in return. "You're right. We should return to work."
Suzune nodded and she and Daisuke went back to sorting the paper.
Sighing, Mayumi was disheartened that the interaction between Suzune and Daisuke had ended shortly and wanted to see more. However, she made eye contact with Suzune who caught her in disappointment, but she sensed dread from her. As Suzune was about to give her a nagging, Mayumi quickly went back to work, knowing what she was going to do to her. She hoped that she would not give her more paperwork to do.
"Something on your mind?" asked Daisuke.
Suzune turned around to Daisuke who was looking confusedly at her.
"It's nothing." Suzune dismissed Daisuke before asking, "By the way, you're a friend of Kazuhiro-San, right?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"I'm curious to know what kind of character he was besides the incident report from yesterday?" asked Suzune, curious.
Daisuke was about to give a deep thought but stopped since he knew about Kazuhiro's personality for a week.
"Well… He's kinda complicated…" Daisuke answered with a hint of nervousness.
"How so?"
"You don't want to know more about him unless you're willing to lose your mind."
[~~~~~]
Kazuhiro and Mari had arrived at the sports hall where the various martial art clubs were held. Many audiences watched many club members performing their many martial art skills such as judo, aikido, and karate, and their mock matches. Kazuhiro closely examined the club members' fighting abilities and movement as he concluded that few members excelled in it while others were either beginner, intermediate, or advanced members in their clubs. He was no stranger to fighting as he fought many times as both a private detective and sometimes a student.
"Feeling the excitement of joining the club," Mari asked, noticing Kazuhiro looking at martial art clubs' performances.
"No. I'm just watching them," Daisuke replied with his head shaking.
"Heh, don't be shy to show your interest," Mari assumed as she thought that Daisuke was too timid to join the club.
"I'm not interested, Mari-San," Kazuhiro denied Mari's assumption but fell deaf to her.
Seeing the various clubs, Mari realized and wondered if she made the correct decision for Midori and Koutaou to perform their duties as public committee members and not demonstrate for their martial art clubs. This could be easier if both of them, as club members, would oversee their clubs and the rest so that they would not cause any more trouble, but the committees would have a lack of manpower to watch over the other clubs, especially Tatsuya. She hoped that nothing awful would happen for a moment
"What the hell did you say, you punk?!"
And she ate her own words for it. 'Damnit!'
Mari quickly walked over to the commotions, followed by Kazuhiro to see what occurred to cause it. As they reached there, they saw a couple of members arguing with each other loudly, scaring a few of the audience to walk away while the female student with blackish-red hair and yellow eyes stood in the middle of them. She would seem trying to stop both sides.
The club members all wore white uniforms except on the right side, they had various color belts like green and black while on the left side, they wore a black hakama.
Mari began to walk forward and towards them to intervene before things would get ugly in a minute especially trying to rescue the girl too.
"Everyone, break up!" Mari commanded loudly at both sides to stop. "What is going on?!"
Both sides stopped and looked at Mari. They quickly became both afraid and concerned about her presence as a chef and they would not dare to attack her or try to argue with her for their reason or otherwise, they would get suspended. Neither of them was able to speak up until one of them spoke up.
"The Karate Clubs overstepped our boundaries because it's not their turn to do the mockup match!" The members explained, pointing at the judo club on the right side with his accuser.
"It's not true! The Aikido Club taunted us that we're a second-grade club!" The karate club member retorted, feeling furious.
"Ueno-Senpai, that's enough! Please don't make it worse!" The female student dispensed with the karate club member by his name.
"Just listen to your manager for once, you imbecile. You're the one who is overreacting!" The aikido club advised in a furious tone.
"What the hell do you call me?" Ueno growled in anger upon hearing a rude word from one of the aikido club members.
"Both of you, enough!" Mari shouted at the top of her lungs, making some of the audience fix their eyes on her with shock and stopping both the karate and aikido clubs. "I don't care who started it first but I suggest that you all stand down and go back to your activities or otherwise, I will arrest all of you for fighting!"
Both the karate and aikido clubs' members were trying to make a jump on Mari for threatening them with a warning but reluctantly submitted to her warning because Mari was both chef of the public committee club and a skillful close-combat magician.
While the tension was going on, one of the karate members began to act rashly as he raised his arm, revealing his CAD bracelet, and activated his sequence to cast the spell. However, his arm was grabbed, stopping the sequence. He turned to see the assailant, which was Kazuhiro.
"Don't do anything stupid or else it will go badly for you," Kazuhiro advised the karate member.
"Why you…!"
The karate member groaned and tried to punch Kazuhiro.
Kazuhiro, fortunately, moved his head to dodge the punch and swung him to the side. He now kicked his thigh to pin him down. He held his arm up and twisted his arm a little.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Please stop!" The attacker cried in pain, feeling his bone joint being twisted.
While Kazuhiro held the attacker's arm upward, he looked at the karate club, who were anxious and about to attack him to release his captive with anger as they noticed his blank emblem. He was in a tight spot because everyone was watching him.
"Do what she says," Kazuhiro calmly advised both Aikido and Karate Clubs.
"Wow, weed threatened to bloom? How low!"
"I can't believe he did something stupid."
"I wanted to see weed beaten up for it."
"Tch, how disgusted he is…"
Although the situation was slowly worsening with all the negativity from the audience, Kazuhiro was not bothered by it as he was trying to focus on diffusing it. He hoped that the clubs should stand down with Mari around, but they seem to be restless to jump on him because he was a weed. He may have hurt their pride. He was unsure that she would be of any assistance since she was the only committee member in the sports hall and the chief and skilled magician.
Mari was glad for Kazuhiro's assistance although she greatly disapproved of his action. She immediately needed assistance to disperse the situation, but she was unsure if Kazuhiro would handle a group of Bloom who might attack him any time since he was Weed. However, he was the only option she had so she could need him.
"Shut up, you weed! You have no right to order us!" One of the Aikido Club's members shouted at Kazuhiro angrily.
"Seriously…" Kazuhiro sighed in irrationality as he was fed up with the term. He raised his voice towards the clubs. "I thought you were supposed to act as a proper adult but you're not because you caused trouble…"
"Caused trouble? You're the one who started it!"
"Just do what the chief committee says or else you will regret it."
"Shut up, you weed!"
Ueno was about to shout at Kazuhiro but stopped as he looked at him with a sudden unsure expression.
'Wait a minute. Where did I see him before?' Ueno thought as he looked closely at Kazuhiro while trying to recognize him because he seemed familiar.
Kazuhiro sighed in irrationality once again.
"That proves my point that you people are dumbasses."
This ticked some of the clubs off including the audience.
"What the fuck do you say?!" one of the karate club's members demanded angrily.
Kazuhiro stood silently to think of a wise word, not to escalate the situation into a fight. However, seeing the itching members of the clubs, he knew that it was pointless to negotiate with them whose mind was crowded with furious. So he was preparing to defend himself.
While the situation was about to explode, Ueno suddenly widened his eyes in shock at Kazuhiro.
'Oh shit! I remember!'
Before Kazuhiro spoke, a few of the Karate and Aikido Clubs members began to rush out of their respective clubs and charged at him.
"Oi, stop!" Ueno shouted at his members in panic, causing his manager and his remaining members to look at him in perplexity.
Ueno's shout fell deaf to the members who were about to assault Kazuhiro.
"That's quick," Kazuhiro muttered as he grabbed the pinned karate member's uniform collar and pulled him up. He then proceeded to run forward toward the assailants with him being his shield.
Mari was shocked at Kazuhiro's action.
Kazuhiro swung the karate member towards the members, colliding with a few of them. He then dropped kicks on him to make the others stumble to the ground. He jumped up, ready to fight.
Assailant #1 threw his fist at Kazuhiro but missed as he dodged his punch. He then swung his leg to kick his head, but he blocked it with his forearm although he stumbled to the side.
Assailant #2 kicked his leg forward, but Kazuhiro grabbed his leg and pulled him ahead.
Kazuhiro then strongly punched Assailant #2 in the face. He then turned around to Assailant #1 who ran toward him and attacked him. He both blocked and dodged Assailant #1's punch and kicked and grabbed his shoulder with his left hand while punching his stomach with his right fist. He threw him to the ground to face upward, kicked his side, and struck his fist to his stomach again.
Kazuhiro raised his forearm when he noticed the kick coming toward his face and managed to block it. He stumbled to the side but withstood it. He dodged Assailant #3's incoming punches thrice before grabbing his both shoulder and knee kicked his stomach hard. He then push him away when he saw Assailant #4 jumping on him with his kick.
Kazuhiro blocked the kick with both arms and skidded across the floor. He lowered his guard and saw the punch flying toward him. He moved to the side and caught Assailant #4's forearm before elbow punched to the chest. He repeated it before kicking his knee to knee down and swinging his punch at his face.
Assailant #4 slowly stood up and tried to attack Kazuhiro again, but Kazuhiro countered his attack and threw him to the ground. He then received a punch to his face thrice before falling to consciousness.
Everyone in the sports hall was entirely shocked upon witnessing Kazuhiro's fight, especially Mari, who was a bombshell.
Kazuhiro fought them with ease as if nothing happened because two or three of them specialized best in martial art while the rest were regular members of both clubs.
'What the hell did he learn to fight?! I have known him for about two weeks, but he had more secrets than he revealed to me yet although I know his background. How many secrets did he keep?!' Mari screamed in her thoughts.
"You idiot…" Ueno muttered in dismay, seeing his member utterly beaten by Kazuhiro.
"Ueno-Senpai, did you know that guy?" asked Ueno's manager.
"Yeah. That guy is freaky ruthless and he now becomes more ruthless than ever," Ueno replied with fear.
"Oh, don't tell me you're afraid of him? He's just a weed." The karate members questioned in disbelief.
"A weed?!" Ueno shouted before slapping both hands on his member's shoulders and looking at him in dread. "I saw him beat the gang of high school delinquents up near the convenience store at Takeshita Street store when he was a middle school student!"
"Eh?!" Mari exclaimed in disbelief.
After a few moments of silence, the last assailant gave up as they had no chance of fighting with him. Seeing them surrendering, Kazuhiro relaxed and walked over to join Mari. As he reached there, he unexpectedly apologized, "Sorry, Watanabe-Senpai."
Mari was speechless at Kazuhiro's apology and does not know how to respond but she accidentally carelessly asked, "Who are you, Kazuhiro-Kun?"
[~~~~~]
A few hours later
"I'm speechless after reading the report, Mari, and I don't know how to say this," stated Mayumi.
"I know, but I saw Kazuhiro-Kun in my own eyes that Kazuhiro-Kun easily fought two black belt karate and skillful Aikido members who were third-year students and the rest of the regulars who are involved without utilizing his magic. It was honestly a surprise for me," Mari replied with a little hint of shock. She turned around to the tall man with a fully built body. "So, do you want me to bring him here for questioning, Juumonji-San?"
"That would be unnecessary, Mari-San. Although he caused minor offense within the school, he did not hurt anyone else and did not cause any scene without reason," Juumonji replied before musing. "It seems that he has already unexpectedly surprised us."
"You tell me, Juumonji-San."
"If Juumonji-San let the matter go, I'm okay with it," Mayumi said with a smile, supporting Juumonji. "Plus, Kazuhiro-Kun is not a bad student who broke the rule every time."
'Bad student? More like a secret troublesome student?' Mari thought sweatdropped before replying causally, "Alright, if you say so."
Evening
Shopping District, Hachioji, Tokyo
"I can't believe you cause more trouble than usual at school, Kaz."
"You know that I cannot avoid more trouble in life, Genki, because as Kirka said, life is unpredictable whether it's good or bad."
"Come on, you two. Let's continue to eat before our food turns cold."
Kazuhiro, Daisuke, Masato, Genki, Sora, and Fumiko were sitting at the table altogether, eating various curry rice at the restaurant. They were all met by coincidence when they decided to buy to eat their dinner and not to cook because they were honestly lazy. They also felt that they wanted to eat curry rice. Fumiko was hastily shoving her curry rice into her mouth because she was simply starved from the morning until now. Her eating however caused everyone at the table to look at her with a mixture of concern, dismay, and disguise. She gulped down and looked at them confusedly.
"What the hell do you all look at me like that?" Fumiko questioned with her raised eyes.
"That's because you're eating too fast, Miko," Genki answered in dismay before advising, "Do not eat too fast, or otherwise you will either get a stomachache or choke your food. You do know that you ordered the spicy version."
"Shut up. You're not my mum," Fumiko grumbled in annoyance at Genki who acted like a mother figure.
"Why you little brat…" Genki growled in frustration.
"Guys, please don't cause a commotion," Daisuke diffused the upcoming argument between Fumiko and Genki. "Everyone is looking at us."
Both Genki and Fumiko turned their heads around to see every customer, waiter, waitress, and chef looking at them with curiosity, confusion, and annoyance. Both became embarrassed by arguing with each other like father and daughter to some customers' eyes even though Fumiko continued to eat her curry rice. Genki was a little annoyed at Fumiko's behavior and wanted to reprimand her but since he was in the public restaurant, he had to act like a proper adult.
Kazuhiro turned to Masato and asked, "So, do you already solve the cases?"
"Haha. Yeah, but we kinda almost caused collateral damage on the hotel," Masato laughed nervously.
"Really?" Daisuke asked in bewilderment.
"Genki and Sora jumped off the building while Genki shot the bomb to explode in the mid-air and both landed safety in the pool while I helped the police to evacuate the visitors," Masato explained with a smile before frowning, "But I have no idea why the hotel manager sued the three of us for a simple thing?"
"It is probably because the manager was absorbed into the role in that place that belongs to the property of one of the hundred families," Sora replied to Masato's question.
"You're kidding, right?" Daisuke questioned in disbelief. He hardly found Sora's explanation to be believable even though some property across Japan belonged to any magician family.
"I'm not kidding, Daisuke-San," Sora confirmed with a chuckle. "You should check some info online. I'm not lying."
"So, how is everyone in the school?" Masato asked with curiosity.
Kazuhiro gave a thoughtful expression and answered without hesitation. "They're alright."
"That's all?" Masato raised his eyebrow.
Kazuhiro nodded, "Yeah."
"Can we please stop talking and enjoy our curry?" Fumiko asked in annoyance before biting pieces of katsu pork.
"Oh well. Itadakimasu." Masato said as he began to eat his curry rice, followed by the rest.
While everyone was eating, Kazuhiro was honestly glad that his day was going well even though he was causing some trouble at school. He wondered if his next day would go smoothly even though the following day, week, or month might go sideways into more misfortune and trouble. He would not care about it because he always prepared for unexpected circumstances unless they came with more twists.
Extra Note
I showcased Kazuhiro's fighting abilities in this chapter but it's not that all as I will reveal his abilities in a future chapter if I had time to write it. His fighting abilities and skills heavily alluded to Marvel's Daredevil and DC's Nightwing but I replaced a few with different martial arts.
I expanded both the relationship and history between Daisuke and Suzune in this chapter as I wanted to see where I was heading. It is mostly romance.
As I said in the beginning, I might add some scenes, rewrite this chapter, or both soon, later, or not because this chapter might not be to your liking.
