"I *pant* can't *pant* go any *pant* further!" Siesta wheezes out as she collapses onto the ground with her back facing the bright night sky. She was ordered by Faye to do 100 push-ups. However, she could only do 27 before collapsing.
"Pitiful, but it's better than nothing." Faye says indifferently to her.
"Give…give me a break! I haven't been doing this for 10 years like you have." She shouts a little irritatedly as she stands up, still panting a little.
"I told you that this would be grueling. You should've expected this."
"I know you did. I wasn't expecting it to be this hard right from the start."
"Now you know. Considering your current exhaustion level, a small break will have to occur so I can properly evaluate your stamina level for sit-ups."
Siesta gulps, not liking where this is going. "H-How many of those will I have to do?"
"100 by the end of your training. At the minimum."
Her figure immediately slumps forward by several degrees. "Dang it."
"No time to self-loathe on it now. Getting you into shape to protect Saito will hopefully relieve me of my duty to protect him and I can go back to staying at master's side more often. Now come on, it's time for your sit-ups."
Siesta groans again as she begins to settle herself into position to do her sit-ups. Despite all of her complaining, she is determined to go through with this. She can't let Faye down now. She'll prove that she can be a worthy student as well as be a worthy maid standing by Saito's side!
Meanwhile:
-School Hallway-
"Man, I didn't think those guys would ever let me go. The Order of Undine Knights huh? It seems Henrietta wanted another group of soldiers to call on if necessary. Well, that's alright. I do enjoy helping her out whenever I can." Saito mumbles to himself as he walks throughout the school hallways, not really sure what to do at the moment.
Apparently after the war with Albion concluded Henrietta wanted to add a corps to her army that could answer immediately to any general or personal matter of hers. Much like how her Musketeer corps currently operates. Initially Saito was considered to be the captain of this corps. However, Henrietta was concerned with how the public would respond due to his commoner status. Thus, Guiche was instead made captain while Saito was granted the role of Lieutenant.
All of this was decided before Saito returned to the school. Guiche mentioned to her that they should probably ask Saito first whether he'd even want to join. However, she wanted to keep it a surprise. Plus she figured he'd likely be more than willing to join. Fortunately for her, everything worked out as planned.
He sighs, "I guess that's more work for me now eh? Oh well, it's already pretty tiring taking care of Louise's chores all the time. Speaking of her, I wonder where she is. I haven't seen Siesta or Tiffa since I got carried away either."
As if the timing couldn't have been any more perfect, a voice suddenly calls to him from behind, "Hey Saito!"
He turns around and finds Tiffania coming towards him, "Oh hey Tiffa!"
She stops in front of him and gives him a perplexing look, "Tiffa?"
"Yeah! It's a nickname I came up with for you. You just look so cute that I thought you deserve a cute nickname. What do you think? I-I hope it's not too weird."
She shakes her head, "No, I like it! Thank you! So, what are you doing out here? It's getting a little late."
"I just finally managed to slip away from the guys who are in the Order of Undine Knights. They had this huge party planned that went on for several hours. It was a lot of fun! But tiring too. So now I'm going to get a breath of fresh air before heading to bed. What about you?"
"That sounds like fun! I kinda wish I could've joined you. Though large crowds aren't exactly my thing. How does it feel to be a knight now?"
He laughs a little, "Not much different than before. I'm still feeling a bit hesitant with accepting the role, considering the state of my rune and all…" He begins to feel some self-doubt once again.
She reassures him, "I heard you held back some of the fenrir's back in the forest, right? I heard from Henrietta. That's not something everyone can do! I believe you deserve the role, and I'll support you as much as I'm able."
He gives an embarrassed smile, "Heh, thanks. You're a really kind girl."
She gives a smile in response, although it soon turns to a frown.
He immediately begins to show concern, "Tiffa? What's wrong?"
"Um…" She fidgets her fingers, "I'm really nervous about tomorrow. I'm going to have to reveal I'm an elf to everyone."
He is a bit taken aback by this, "What? Why? Who's making you do this?" He asks, clearly not happy.
"The h-headmaster. I'm sure he doesn't mean any ill will by it! Besides, I'm sure I'd be found out sooner or later anyway." She pauses for a moment.
"It'd be better if I just reveal my true self right away. But I'm just really scared. I know humans and elves have not always been on the greatest terms. They might hate me. They might loathe me. Maybe they'd even be scared of me." She says with increasing tension.
Saito gives her a determined but gentle look, "I understand what you're saying. I admit I was pretty nervous too when I first ended up here at the academy all of a sudden in front of a bunch of strangers. How would you feel if I stood next to you while you introduced yourself?"
Her eyes light up at the suggestion, "You'd do that? Really?! For me?"
He nods and smiles warmly, "Of course! I'd do anything for a friend."
"Thank you! I can't remember the last time someone treated me this kindly. I'll be counting on you tomorrow then. Goodnight!"
"Night Tiffa!"
Saito walks down the hallway for a few minutes before coming upon Anthony and Faye's room. He was going to just walk by it but he began to hear yelling from within the room. The conversation appeared to be going in a pretty ugly direction.
"I will not! You are such a freaking brat and honestly I've only barely stopped myself from yelling at you until now. I'm not like Saito, I won't stand for this. Get your freaking violent behavior under control for crying out loud!" A male's voice yells. Saito recognizes it to be Anthony's.
Who's he so upset with? He suddenly grows quite worried and he quickens his pace to reach the room.
"And you've failed to keep a leash on that maid of yours! She's just as prone to becoming violent herself! I don't want to hear those words from someone who enables and even encourages a person to do immoral actions like that! Now you've really irritated me. You and that maid were supposed to be my familiars to begin with. Now, take your punishment." A girl's voice responds.
Louise!
WHAP!
Saito suddenly stops upon hearing that loud crack and a scream following afterwards. It's a sound he is quite familiar with. He begins to unconsciously tremble and grips his clothes tightly.
While this specific event never happens anymore for Saito, he remembers a time when Louise had such a poor opinion of him that she would literally whip him as punishment for disobeying her orders or making her extremely embarrassed with herself in front of the other students. Among all the things Louise ever did to him, this was possibly the worst. The only other thing that he disliked her doing to him about just as much is being treated like a literal dog. With being forced to eat on the floor and having only straw for a bed. As time went on Louise began to see Saito in a better light and her punishments grew lighter.
Unfortunately, since Anthony is a newcomer commoner, Saito fears that Louise is viewing him the same way as she once did with him.
He didn't mind taking the punishment for himself most of the time. Yes, they were brutal and he didn't enjoy them one bit, but he figured he deserved them. At least part of the time. Besides, it wasn't like he could really avoid them to begin with.
"Your clothes are unfortunately still on, so this won't be quite as effective as I'd hope it would be. But still, this should teach a filthy commoner dog like you where your place is."
WHAP!
"Screw you! Help me Faye!" Anthony screams from within the room.
With more force than he intended, Saito throws open the door and yells, "Stop it!"
-Academy Front Yard-
Faye continues to train Siesta to her limit. It's now been about 30 minutes into their training and so far she's only given two 2 minute breaks. Siesta's sit-ups fared a bit better than her push-ups, considering she could do about 35 before passing out on the ground and spreading her arms and legs out.
Now they've moved on to practicing repetitive arm throws and leg kicks. Faye explains to her that she needs to increase her stamina and overall endurance. Also, she needs to get used to performing those certain moves as she would use these or variants of them in real fights.
They alternate between these two for fifteen minutes and Siesta appears to be at her limit. This is when Faye faintly hears Anthony's scream for help. Due to the front yard only being a handful of yards away from the nearest wall. Said wall contains the bedrooms of many of the students on the other side of it. Her and Anthony's room is on the third floor which while it is high up, noises can still very well be heard from in there if they are loud enough.
"Master?!" She quickly turns to Siesta, "We are done. I need to get to master now. We will continue tomorrow." She then immediately darts off to the front doors of the school.
"W-Wait! I'm coming with you!" With the last remnants of her strength, Siesta tries to catch up to her teacher. Unfortunately, the burst of speed quickly extinguishes and she quickly gets left behind.
-Anthony and Faye's Room-
A Little While Earlier
Anthony sits alone in his room. After he and the others were dismissed by Osmond, Siesta proceeded to give the three a tour throughout the school. Even though he had seen sections of the school while watching the anime, it was a whole new experience seeing it in person. Everything popped out way more. The colors were more vibrant. And perhaps most importantly, everything looked 3D and realistic. It is just as grand as Henrietta's castle. He, Faye, and Tiffania all stayed out of the public areas as much as possible to avoid drawing any attention to themselves. They preferred not to meet anyone until the first official day of school.
After the tour, Tiffania went on to do other things. Siesta and Faye went out to do their training. Anthony felt like retiring early and said that he may watch the training later on that night. Having gone through another hectic day, he finally has some breathing room to himself and he can attempt to plan for the future.
He's aware that Joseph is still out there and has given Tabitha pretty much impossible missions. It'll happen soon. Whenever that ball occurs is the night that she attacks Saito due to what Joseph has ordered her to do. Then the saving Tabitha and her mom arc starts. Though all the other events that lead up to it. Saito and Louise's fight. Louise snapping out of that hypnosis from Sheffield. Will all of that happen? Events have already changed in this world considering Siesta's complete change in behavior. Is my knowledge of future events worth anything? It's not like I can tell them about this and they'll believe me on a dime.
He sighs deeply and rubs his head with his fingers in frustration. Do I even want to try preventing it from happening? In the end Tabitha's mom gets saved and Tabitha herself grows much closer to Saito as of a result. Wait a minute…
Suddenly, he remembers about Faye's potent healing power. Could Faye save her?! It would certainly save a lot of trouble. But then Saito would possibly miss out on growing closer to her. Oh, if only someone could tell me what to do.
Suddenly, there is a knock on his door that spurs him out of his thoughts.
"Who's there?"
The door opens and standing there is a short pink-haired mage.
He flinches upon seeing her. "L-Louise?!"
"Why do you look so surprised to see me?" She gives him a look that borders between indifference and annoyance. "I want to talk to you."
"Why? I don't think there is anything we need to talk about at the moment."
"I think otherwise. Listen." She fully steps into the room now, shutting the door behind her. "You have some serious explaining to do."
He gulps and his eyes dart all over the room, trying to avoid looking at her. Did I behave too weirdly? Why is she suspicious of me? Does she suspect I know more about her and the others than they might think?
"W-What explaining?"
"Your maid." She crosses her arms.
"My maid? You mean Faye? What about her?" He gives her a suspicious glare.
"Why have you ordered her to attack me when I punish Saito? I've already told you before, you have no business in messing with our relationship! What is wrong with you?"
This last question triggers him. "Wrong with me? I should ask what is wrong with YOU! Do you know just how many times you have hurt Saito because of your jealousy, hot-tempered personality, and disdain for commoners like him?"
"I guess he's told you about those, huh? Well, I don't really care what that water flea tells you. It's a master's responsibility to punish their familiar when they misbehave! It's entirely his fault if he incurs my wrath. I'm sure you understand where I come from, right? You have a servant yourself after all."
He vehemently shakes his head. "Don't you dare presume just because she's my maid that I treat her the same way that you treat Saito. While I do sometimes give her orders to carry out, I ultimately see her as an equal to me and as an amazing friend. She's helped me through so much back in my old world and even now. Remember the fenrir incident?"
"You…have a point there." She admits hesitantly. "Well, whatever. Your relationship with her is your business. My relationship with Saito is my business. Butt out of it."
He shakes his head again. "Afraid I can't do that."
"Why?" She asks, her anger rising.
"The way you treat Saito is straight up abuse. I have no idea how you get away with all the whipping and explosions you cast on him without getting arrested. Doesn't Tristain have laws regarding how to treat familiars?"
"Of course there are laws regarding familiar treatment. What I've done to Saito is not abuse, but simply discipline. When your familiar disobeys you, you punish and correct them. That's how it works. Haven't you ever punished your maid before for disobeying?"
"She's only ever disobeyed me once, and that was because of some circumstances beyond her control. I think I've only ever punished her once or twice ever. And those punishments weren't nearly as severe as what you've done."
"Well well lucky you to actually have a competent servant." She growls. "My dog screws up so much. He often disobeys me. He lewdly looks at other girls. He even has the audacity to touch their b-boobs!" She clenches her hands so hard from anger that her fingernails nearly tear the skin on her palms.
"MAYBE if you treated him as a decent human being instead of a dog he'd listen to you more often!" Anthony shouts. Now he is quite irritated as well.
"A dog should obey no matter how he's treated!"
"Saito isn't a dog!"
"Yes he is!"
"No he isn't!"
"Yes he is and that's the end of it! Now, order your maid to stop attacking me whenever I punish that dog!"
"I will not! You are such a freaking brat and honestly I've only barely stopped myself from yelling at you until now. I'm not like Saito, I won't stand for this. Get your freaking violent behavior under control for crying out loud!"
"And you've failed to keep a leash on that maid of yours! She's just as prone to becoming violent herself! I don't want to hear those words from someone who enables and even encourages a person to do immoral actions like that! Now you've really irritated me. You and that maid were supposed to be my familiars to begin with. Now, take your punishment."
From within her skirt, Louise pulls out a decently sized whip. Anthony shudders upon seeing it. No…no way…
Anthony immediately gets up and tries to make a bolt for the door. Unfortunately, he underestimates just how long the whip is.
WHAP!
He screams in pain and falls face first to the floor. He knew that this had to be painful considering how Saito reacted upon being hit by it. He didn't know it would be this painful. It felt like he was burned with a hot iron.
"Your clothes are unfortunately still on, so this won't be quite as effective as I hoped it would be. But still, this should teach a filthy commoner dog like you where your place is." Louise condescendingly informs him.
He tries to crawl away towards the door. Sadly, crawling is much slower than running upright. Thus, Louise is easily able to land another hit on him.
WHAP!
"Screw you! Help me Faye!" Anthony screams from within the room. He begins to tear up from the nearly unbearable pain. Why did it come to this?!
Suddenly the door bursts open. The two instantly look at who invited themself in and see that it is Saito himself. He shouts, "Stop it!"
-School Hallway-
Faye is running down the halls as quickly as her nimble legs will take her. Thanks to her intense martial arts training back in her other world, she is able to run faster than pretty much any human. Her top speed is around 35 miles per hour. Master, please be alright! Please be alright! Please be alright! I'm almost there! I'm almost there! Please, please! Her facial features remain in a mostly neutral state. Although, her state of mind is anything but.
Siesta is a decent distance behind her. She is trying to keep up with her pace but is failing miserably. She's really worried about him. I wonder what happened. But my goodness she is fast! She really is incredible in so many ways. Now she has yet another reason to admire her teacher.
-Anthony and Faye's Room-
"Saito?" Louise says as she turns around and sees him at the door. He has a serious expression on his face.
"Oh, this doesn't look good." Derfflinger comments from Saito's back.
Before their conversation can begin, another person barges into the room.
"Master! Are you alright?!" She sees his back. Two small rips have been made to his clothing, exposing some of his back skin. Where the skin is exposed there is also a bit of blood, showing that he has been whipped harshly.
"Oh…Faye. I didn't think you'd actually come here so quickly." Anthony shows her a pained smile. It's clear he's still in much pain.
"Of course I would! As soon as I heard your cry for my help, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me."
Faye immediately helps him to his feet and sets him on the bed. Once that is done, she takes a good overview look at Louise, the likely cause of this disaster. Her eyes focus on a certain object in her right hand.
"Brat…no brute" She hisses slowly. "What exactly is that in your hand?"
Saito can sense the bloodlust and immediately tries to quell the situation. "Um…Faye…please don't act irrationally."
Louise answers, "Your master here was being quite disrespectful to me when I was simply trying to ask him some questions. So I'm punishing him. After all, he, and you as well, were supposed to be my familiars. So I have the right. Also, I have a name, it's Louise."
Faye ignores her for the moment and concentrates on healing Anthony. However, before she does so, Anthony stops her for a moment.
"Master?" She says perplexed. What is he thinking? Doesn't he want treatment?
"Can you leave the marks for now? Just make the pain go away for now please."
She gives him a slightly confused look, but nods. "I don't entirely understand why you wish for the marks to remain. But I trust you and will do as you say." She proceeds to cast some of her healing magic that specifically targets the pain. His pain disappears almost as quickly as it initially came. His wounds remain unchanged, as requested.
She whispers to him, "Master, may I do as I wish with that brat?"
He nods, "Full permission. Don't kill her though."
She gives a small smile, "I know."
At this point, Siesta finally arrives at the scene and stands next to Saito. She asks what is happening. Saito brings her up to speed, causing her to gasp in horror.
Saito says, "Louise, I don't mind you doing this to me. Well ok, that's a lie. I do actually care quite a bit. However, I cannot accept you doing this to other people. This is just wrong."
"It's just as wrong when she does it to you." Anthony says to him.
"Huh? How do you know she's done that to me?"
He gulps nervously, "Oh, ah. Um…I just figured she's done the same towards you. Since you were once her familiar and all."
"Oh, I can see why you'd think that. Well, it's true regardless." He admits with some shame in his voice. Those weren't his most proudest moments in his life.
"Who cares what a lowly dog like you says!" Louise barks at her former familiar. "I've done this before and no one said anything about it!"
"The fact you can say that so proudly is really disturbing." Anthony says.
"Louise…" Siesta starts. She is starting to realize just how much Saito has suffered at Louise's hand. "How…how many times have you beaten Saito like this? Has anyone ever witnessed what you've done?"
"Just once." Saito replies. "Agnes caught her whipping me once. The scene she saw was…not pretty. To put it lightly. As for how many times? At least 4 or 5 times, if not more."
"Oh my gosh!" She puts her hands to her face in shock. "Did she ever report it?" Siesta quickly asks, desperately hoping that it was.
He shakes his head, "I don't think so. Or if she did, nothing happened. No one mentioned it ever again."
"Oh Saito…" Siesta wraps her arms around the person she loves more than anyone else. "I'm so sorry you've had to go through that. I never knew it was that bad. I promise I'll become the sort of maid you can rely on to protect you." I will never intentionally let you get harmed by anyone ever again. I'm sorry I let you get mistreated by her. I never knew she went as far as whipping. I can't see Louise the same way anymore.
He nervously laughs, "Thanks, but you've already done so much for me. If anything, I'm the one who should be repaying you for all your kindness. I'd like to be able to protect you though."
"You have no idea how much you've done for me." She smiles. "You've greatly increased my confidence and my dedication to the things I wish to do."
"Oh that's smooth." Derfflinger comments with an impressed tone.
"S-Since when have you two grown so close huh?!" Louise demands, her anger ever present. First they dared to barge in while she was giving out a punishment. Then Saito and Siesta flirt with each other?
"I've waited long enough. Everyone clearly agrees that what has occurred here is wrong. I couldn't agree more myself. I will retaliate against anyone who dares to attack master. Now brat." Faye gets up off the bed and cracks her knuckles. "I bet you know what time it is now? Right?"
Louise smirks, "You think you can take me on? I'd like to see you try. Even if you have water magic, there's no way you know how to use it."
"Sensei can use magic?! She told me that she couldn't though!" Siesta shouts, completely shocked that her teacher can use magic too. This is yet another thing to add to the never-ending list of amazing things she can do.
Saito unsheathes Derfflinger and points it at Faye. "I…I know Louise did something terrible here tonight. But I can't let you hurt her! I'll find some way to compensate for this, I promise. Just please, let her go. Faye, please let her go."
"Saito! Even after all she's done to you and Anthony? She deserves to be punished for this." Siesta says.
Even Derfflinger agrees, "Yeah…gotta agree with the maid girl here pard. I don't think this is right. Besides, I have a feeling you can't take on this fight."
At this point, the tension in the room is nearly palpable. All it would take to burst this tension-filled bubble is one little move. One little action or word by anyone.
Faye is the first to act by turning her head towards Saito and giving him a chilling stare. "I do not take orders from you. This brat hurt master. With a whip of all things. That is unforgivable. She must be punished."
She charges at Louise with the intend to punch her with all her might. Upon seeing her move, Saito runs as fast as he can and outstretches Derfflinger to block the attack, which it does so.
Faye hits the side of the sword, so it doesn't cut her. Instead, all of that force intended for Louise goes straight to the sword, and by extension Saito, since he is holding it. This causes him to violently shake in place.
"Saito…" Louise mumbles both sweetly and concerned for him. Him blocking the attack for her sake really made him look cool in her eyes.
"Don't get in my way Saito." Faye warns. "While I won't attack you, as master has ordered me to protect you, I will disarm you if necessary. I presume that is what master would have me do, right?" She looks to him for confirmation.
He flashes her a thumbs up, "Correct! You know me well."
She smiles, "Naturally I do."
While they have this brief chat, Louise quickly brings out her wand and begins to power up an explosion spell. This does not go unnoticed by Siesta and Anthony as they begin charging at her.
"Get her wand Siesta! I'll hold her down!" Anthony yells and he launches himself towards Louise, intending to wrap her in his arms.
"Got it!" She replies.
Saito tries to intervene with Derfflinger, but Faye manages to quickly grab a hold of the arm holding the sword. He tries to break free of her grip, but the absence of his rune powers means he doesn't hold much more strength than an average teenager. He and Faye fight back and forth for a few moments for control of the sword before the latter literally pries his fingers off the sword.
Now that she has the sword, she turns towards Louise. This turns out to be a mistake as Saito once again tries to grip his sword from behind the maid. This fails miserably as she elbows him in his stomach, causing him to moan and collapse to the floor.
Meanwhile, Anthony tries to grab Louise's waist. Unfortunately, she is able to see this move coming and proceeds to roundhouse kick him to the ground. Resuming the casting process, her wand begins to glow cyan. Siesta does manage to grab her and a pushing contest between the two girls begin, with them both aiming to send the other to the floor. Suddenly, a sword is sent and connects with Louise's left shoulder, causing her to collapse onto the floor while howling in pain.
Noticing what she did to Anthony a moment ago. She decides that she should repay in kind. Literally tossing her into the air, she does her own roundhouse kick that is at least 5 times as strong as her opponent's was to her master. She is sent flying towards one of the walls, instantly severely cracking it. How the wall managed to repel such an attack and still stand, nobody knew. She coughs up some blood and clenches her stomach as she falls flat on her stomach. Her first thought is. Oh my gosh! This…this is PAINFUL!
The wand Louise is holding flies out of her hand and Faye manages to catch it. With no hesitation, she bends the stick with as much force as she can muster and breaks it in half.
"Faye! No! That's her only wand!" Saito shouts at her even though it's already too late.
"Exactly." She holds the two pieces in her hands and casually drops them to the floor. "Be glad that she can no longer harm master or you. That's what she deserves for whipping master."
Recovering from being kicked to the ground, Anthony gets up and kicks Louise hard in the side. He derogatorily states, "Be grateful I'm not as harsh as Faye is."
With that, the fight no one planned is over. "Louise!" Saito calls out to her as he goes to check her condition.
"Damn…them…" Louise mumbles shortly before passing out.
"Master! How are you feeling?" Faye quickly goes to his side and assesses his condition. Aside from a large bruise forming from Louise's kick, there are no new injuries. She quickly heals the bruise.
Saito and Siesta sustain no injuries, although they are fairly tired and still high on adrenaline from all that just occurred.
After a moment of extremely awkward silence, Saito goes up to Faye.
"Hand Derfflinger over." He states grumpily.
"Who?" She responds.
"My sword. His name is Derfflinger. Hand him over." He attempts to reach out and grab it, as it's currently in Faye's hands.
"I don't take orders from you." She coldly states as she pushes him back.
"You little…" He seethes.
"Hand it to him." Anthony orders. "He and the others need to rest. As do we. In return, give us that whip she used."
He clenches his fist for a moment, but then releases it and sighs. "Fine."
Faye gives him Derfflinger and he gives Anthony the whip.
Without a word, Saito slips Derfflinger onto his back and grabs Louise's broken wand. He picks up his master bridal style. They are about to exit the room when a new face shows itself.
"Saito? Louise? What happened? There was so much noise occurring down here I had to come check it out." The new voice says.
Anthony recognizes that voice. That's Kirche!
Saito frowns, "Ask me in the morning. I don't want to talk about it." He leaves the room entirely and turns to the left, walking down the hallway.
Kirche peers into the room to see if there is anybody else in there. She sees Siesta, Anthony, and Faye. Two of the three faces she has never seen before.
Anthony notes her expression. She's usually the flirty and playful type who usually tries to win all of the boys' affection. Though right now she has a pretty serious expression. That makes sense considering that for all the flirting and teasing she does she is able to recognize when a situation is serious and act appropriately. Also, her boobs are gigantic!
Faye looks at her with uncertainty.
"I see some faces I've never seen before." She notes as she enters the room uninvited. Not like that really matters to her though. "Can you two introduce yourselves and tell me what the heck happened here?"
"It's…it's a long story Miss Kirche."
Pulling out a chair that is behind the desk in the room, she promptly sits in it. "I have all the time in the world, feel free to explain. I'm rather curious."
-Author's Corner-
A/N: Alright so I sorta lied about Anthony and Faye meeting up with the students in this chapter. The discussion between Anthony and Louise and the resulting fight played out way longer than I initially anticipated. Although Kirche is introduced in this chapter so that sorta counts, right? Just a tiny bit?
The Disquieting One: Indeed. While it would be cool if Anthony could gain the ability to use magic, how would he actually do so? As far as I'm aware, outside of becoming a familiar, there is no way for a person with no magical ability to gain the ability to use it. All the void magic is very unique compared to the rest of the magic in the world. Sadly, Anthony is too upset with Louise to really talk about his home world, so it'll likely only be possible later on if they can ever improve their relationship.
Frequent Reader: Faye upped her attacks this time around. She even broke the only weapon Louise could use to attack with. As for why Saito defends her like that, it'll make more sense later on.
