Jay's POV: it's been a couple weeks since Erin give birth to her second princess ember. I'm still amazed how bad ass she was to give birth to our little girl when we came home we had mouse help us for a couple days but then he had to leave and go back to work. Since he left me and Erin got into a schedule with the kids Porter and Camryn have adjusted pretty well to having a little sister. Ember it's almost a month old and she is almost sleeping through the night which is amazing today happens to be a doctors appointment for all three kids I wake up before everyone so I can go and make some breakfast about 10 minutes later I feel two small hands wrapped around my body
J= well good morning to you
E= good morning to you babe
J= ( turns around) so how did you sleep
E= not too bad good thing I have you as my big pillow
J= well that is a good thing that I was there
E= you're such a dork
J= I know but you love me
E= I guess I do so what smells so good in here is it you or the food
J= god I hope it's me but I know you're talking about the food
E= oh yeah I'm talking about the food because you kind of stink
J= oh how rude
E= whatever so what did you make us
J= I made some French toast and eggs
E= that sounds good so has the kids woken up yet
J= no they haven't
E= is the food almost done
J= here in a few minutes why
E= well I'm going to take a shower real quick before the kids wake up
J= all right
Erin go to take a shower real fast when I finish a breakfast about five minutes later
E= that shower was so good I didn't want to get out
J= oh I know that feeling so the food is done
E= that's good how about while the kids are still sleeping why don't you go jump in the shower before they wake up
J= all right good plan be right back don't eat all the food
E= I won't do that
J= haha i'm sure that
I go and take a quick shower myself hopefully Erin doesn't eat all the food five minutes later
E= that was fast
J= yeah I did a quick one to make sure you didn't eat all the food
E= haha your funny but I didn't eat all the food
J= well that's a good thing
E= Man did it just get hot in here or what
J= how do you hot and bothered mrs Halstead
E= maybe a little ( hears a baby cry) I guess I will go get her
J= all right
E= ( stars to walk away) hey hot stuff
J= yes wife
E= I can't wait until we can play scrabble again because I miss that body of yours so much
J= oh believe me babe I can't wait either
Erin goes and Grabs ember while I start eating my breakfast about 10 minutes later
PJ= daddy
CN= daddy
J= good morning guys
E= when I went to go get ember I heard these kids were up so they came and got ember with me
J= well kids who's hungry
All= I am
E= well daddy made some breakfast for us let's eat up
We eat our breakfast about 10 minutes later
PJ= daddy I'm fine
CN= me too daddy
E= looks like ember is fine too
J= good job guys you have a clean plate
E= hey baby what time is it
J= it's 8:30 why
E= oh crap the kids have a doctors appointment at 9:30
J= oh my God I guess we better clean up fast and get going
E= oh yeah let's clean up
The kids help Erin and me clean up then Erin gets the girls dress while I help Porter get ready about half an hour later we were all dressed
J= are we ready to go
All= yes
E= all right then let's go so daddy can you get us there in time
We all load up into the car and head to the doctors office where you arrive within 10 minutes before the appointment time we signed the kids in and wait until you contact about five minutes later the nurse calls is all back she takes the kids vitals and then we are left alone until the doctor comes in. About five minutes late if someone knocks on the door
J= come in
KP= hey guys how are we today
E= we are pretty good how about yourself
KP= not to bad so how has life been with three kids the last couple weeks
J= not to bad
E= the kids love baby ember
J= and ember isn't to bad at sleeping through the night
KP= well that's good to hear so let's me check them all out and we will go from there
E= all right
The doctor takes a look at all the kids
KP= so the kids looks super healthy you guys are doing amazing with them
J= why thank you doctor
KP= your welcome now it's the kids worst nightmare it's shot time
E= oh man so how man do they need
KP= Porter and Camryn only need one but miss ember needs two which I'll have the nurses do the big kids first and then ember so it's easier on you guys
J= al right thanks doctor
KP= no problem just have these kids undress and ready they will be right in
E= all right thank you
She leaves and we get the kids undress in time for the nurse to come in
N1= hey guys how are we
J= we are good
N1= normally we give the shot in their legs so we would need one of you to hold the kids
E= all right then I'll get Camryn and you will get Porter
J= sounds good to me ( picks up Porter whole Erin gets Camryn)
N2= are we ready
E= yes
N1= all right 3,2,1 and done
E= wow that's fast
N1= we try to go fast
PJ= daddy ( crying )
CN= mommy ( crying)
N2= now it's time for ember who gets to hold her or do you think she will be fine
J= well Porter calm down so I guess I'll hold ember while she gets her shots ( picks her up)
N1= all right daddy ready 3,2,1 and we are all done
E= thank you
N2= no problem see you later ( they leave)
J= that wasn't too bad
E= I guess now ember is so calm in your arms I'm still thinking she's a daddy girls
J= I think I'm starting to believe it more and more each day
E= I guess I told you so
J= whatever you say
CN= mommy
E= yes baby
CN= I want grandpa Hank
J= you do Camryn
CN= yes daddy
E= all right I guess we can go visit grandpa Hank and the others
We get the kids dress, make their next appointment and head toward the District we arrive there within 15 minutes
P= there's one of my favorite family
J= hey platt it's good to see you
P= same here chuckles
E= hey Trudy is the team upstairs
P= yes they are also they already have visitors upstairs anyways
J= oh really they do who
P= the other little family
E= wait Vanessa, Kevin and baby Violet are here too
P= yes they are that little girl looks just like Vanessa Kevin is very lucky
J= yes he is let's go see them
E= thanks platt

J= bye sergeant
( upstairs)
E= hey guys there any room for three more kids
AD= hey Erin hey jay hey kids
KB= their my godchildren
J= hey guys I guess you guys don't have any cases so you get to look at two babies all day
AR= it's been a quiet all day
HU= hopefully you don't jinx it
E= who wants to hold ember
AD= I would love too
J= here you go buddy
HV= I guess we are training the younger kids on how to be a cop already
CN= grandpa Hank ( runs to him)
HV= hey baby girl I missed you
J= she sure did miss you
HV= whah did you guys do today
E= we went to their doctor and they got shots and at the end of the appointment Camryn asked to see you so here we are
AO= sounds like she is a grandpa baby
J= yes she is
KA= that's kind of funny that you were at the doctors today getting shots
E= really why he that
VR= we also had a doctors appointment today and she got shots
E= really what time was your appointment
KA= are doctors appointment was at 9:15 what about you guys
J= ours was at 9:30
E= oh my god we must've just missed each other that's funny
VR= I guess we did
E= hey Haliey how have you been feeling like how has your pregnancy been going
HU= it's been going good I'm happy that I'm finally in the second trimester
VR= that's good to hear are you finding out the gender or waiting until you give birth
AR= oh we are finding out and it's going to be a boy for sure
HU= I think it's a girl we will find out here in the next few weeks to see who was right
HV= hey jay and Kevin can I talk to you
KA= yeah sure boss
Everyone hangs out while me and Kevin to talk to Hank
J= so what's up boss
HV= well I do Love the two new female members of this unit but I'm getting one from the ivory towers that we can't keep this unit running if we are five people short
KA= are you asking us to come back to work some time soon
HV= yes I am sorry to pull you guys away from your family so soon
J= it's no problem Hank we understand
KA= totally I think Vanessa will be fine to be on her own
J= I get back to you with Erin because she will be all on her own with three kids
HV= all right let me know
KA= we will boss
We head back to the group and hang out for about an hour than me,kevin, Vanessa, Erin and The kids all head home but first we stop and grab lunch and catch up with the new parents. About two hours later me and Erin head back Home we put the kids down for the nap while we relax on the couch together
J= today was a long day
E= yes it was glad it's almost over
J= couldn't agree more
E= hey I forgot to ask you what did Hank want to talk to you and Kevin about
J= well he got word from the ivory towers that he can't run this unit with 5 less people there so
E= so he need you to to come back to work soon as possible
J= oh yeah so what is your opinion on that
E= well it makes sense why they don't want the unit to keep going like how it is with five less people
J= right it makes sense
E= are you ready to go back to work
J= truthfully I kind of am but I will sure miss my family when I'm at work
E= and we will miss you
J= but the real question is are you ready to be alone with three kids
E= not really but I think I can handle it
J= I know you can
E= why thanks babe
J= hey if not you can always call Vanessa over and you guys can hang out with the kids together
E= that's a good point
J= so your okay if I go back to work
E= yes I'm fine with that
J= all right I will call Hank and let him know that I am coming back to work
E= all right but maybe not tomorrow
J= how about this today's Wednesday how about I go back to work on Monday
E= that works for me
J= all right I love you
E= I love you too
I call Hank to tell him I will be back to work next Monday he understands I spend the rest of my time is my family before I had to go back to work on Monday
