Erin pov: it's been almost 2 months since I gave birth to our second princess ember, Porter and Camryn Love her they always want to take turns holding her which makes my heart happy. She only has smiled a few times over the last month and a half. A couple weeks ago Hank asked Kevin and Jake to come back to work soon because the ivy towers were a little mad that the intelligence unit was kind of short of people. So I've been by myself of all three kids for a couple weeks now. The first day was kind of upset I wanted to cry at once but after I gathered myself I got it all figured out and since then it's gotten a lot easier. Me and jay decide a couple weeks ago that it's time to sign Porter up for daycare and ever since he started going he has loved it lucky he is only goes about two days a week. Today I have a doctors appointment so I get up and get all the kids up I feed them and get them dressed and head out toward the doctor. I first drop off Porter at daycare then head to my doctors appointment and I arrive within 15 minutes I signed myself in then we waited to be called back abohf five minutes later we got called back to the room the nurse takes me vitals and now we wait on the doctor 5 minutes later knocking
ED= hey Erin wow you got a crew with you today
E= yeah Jay went back to work and the nanny is on vacation right now
ED= makes sense so where is little Porter at
E= he is a daycare it's easier with two kids then three kids
ED= couldn't agree more so how have you been feeling
E= i've been feeling totally fine
ED= that's good so let me check you out
E= all right
She checks me out lucky the girls were pretty quiet the whole time
ED= so everything looks good
E= all right
ED= so I am clear I need to go back to work whenever you want to
E= that's good to hear
ED= also I am clear you and jay to have sex again
E= he will be happy to hear that
ED= I bet so do you want to go on birth control now or wait a little bit more
E= I think I'll wait
ED=all right just makes sure Jay use a condom so you guys don't end up with a surprise baby anytime soon
E= oh he will don't worry I'll make sure of it
ED= I bet you will so just call me if you anything and enjoy these girls and Porter
E= I will thanks doctor
ED= no problem see you later ( she leaves )
When she leaves I gather mine and the girls stuff up and we leave I decide to head to the district to let Hank now I'm cleared to work we arrive within 20 minutes. I put ember and our baby carrier and have Camryn hold my hand as we walk into the district
P= hey Erin I see you got your hands full
E= Hey platt and yes I do but most importantly My heart is fuller
P= that's the most important thing
E= yes it is
P= so what are you doing here
E= I came to talk to Hank about something is he and. The team upstairs
P= yes they are
E= all right I will go see them
P= hopefully you can come back soon
E= we will see Camryn say bye to sergeant platt
CN= bye bye
P= bye sweet girl
We head upstairs and see they are in the middle of something
E= hey guys sorry to interrupt your busy day of work
KA= it's the halstead girls
AR= what are you guys doing here
J= I bet they came here to visit me
E= so sorry to burst your bubble there Jay but I'm here to see Hank
AD= oh man that sucks
KB= poor jay
HV= what can I do for you Erin
E= well Camryn do do you want to go hang out with daddy while I go talk to grandpa Hank
CN= okay mommy
J= come here Camryn ( runs to jay) hey baby girl were you good for mommy today
CN= yes
E= she was an angel
KB= can I may be hold ember while you talk to Hank
E= sure you can Kim ( hands ember over) thanks kim
KB= no problem

HV= it's good to see you kid
E= it's good to get out of the house
HV= I bet it is a three kids so I hope that you and Chase debit Porter at daycare about a week ago
E= Yes we did his social worker thinks it works best for his social skills he loves it

E= well I just got back from my six week check up and she gave me the go ahead to come back to work
HV= that's amazing so when do you want to come back to work
E= how about I start back next Monday
HV= sounds good to me do you want to tell the team The best detective is coming back to work

AR= oh god it stinks in here jay you better get your daughters diaper change fast
J= it's not that bad
AD= besides you had to get use to that smell you are having a baby in a few months

HV= hey guys can you listen up for just a second Erin have something to tell you guys
AR= please tell me you're not pregnant again
J= ( spits out his water) that's not possible right babe
E= you're right name but what I have to announce is that I get to come back to work
KA= that's amazing
AD= i'm glad you're coming back to work
KB= same here
VR= hey Guys care to have one more person here
HV= hey Vanessa how are you
VR= i'm good and I'm here to tell you that my doctor just cleared me for work
E= really my doctor just cleared me too
HV= well that's great to hear so when do you want to come back to work
VR= how about next week
HV= that works for me
Vanessa and me stay for a little while once the babies start getting fussy we both decide to leave
E= hey Vanessa do you want to come hang out with me and the kids
VR= yea sure
E= all right I have to go pick up Porter from daycare why don't you pick up lunch for us and meet me at my place
VR= all right that works for me see you then
We both leave and I go and pick Porter up at daycare. On the way home corner tells me everything he did today we arrive home within 15 minutes and Vanessa arrived at the same time. Both of our babies were tired so we took him inside and laid them in the crib. Then me, Vanessa and the other Kids eat out food. Me and Vanessa catch up
E= can you believe it's been six weeks since we've had our girls
VR= no I can't it seems like yesterday I just had her
E= tell me about it and that feeling will never go away trust me
VR= I believe it
E= so are you ready to go back to work
VR= in a way yes but not really
E= really how come
VR= i'm ready to have adult conversation again and to be around people
E= oh I know what do you mean
VR= but i'm sad I have to leave my baby girl for the first time since she's been born
E= totally get what you mean at least you have a week to prepare yourself to leave her
VR= oh yeah and a week to find a babysitter to watch her while we both are at work
E= hey why don't you use my nanny to watch Violet she's the best I don't think she'll mind watching another kid
VR= are you sure I can try and find one within this week
E= i'm sure also you can also bring her here before you guys go to work
VR= I guess that could work
E= Great I'll give her a call later
VR= thanks Erin
E= it's no problem
Me and Vanessa catch up while we watch a movie about an hour later both babies wake up from their nap so Vanessa figured it was time to head home so she leaves. When she leaves I call her nanny Payton and ask her if she can watch another baby which she was totally fine after I got off the phone with Payton I texted Vanessa saying that everything is good to go with my nanny watching baby Violet about two hours later I was cooking some dinner since Jay will be home soon within a half an hour the food was done and Jay got home
J= hey kids I'm home
PJ= daddy's home
CN= daddy ! ( (they both run to him)
J= hey buddy how was daycare today
PJ= it was great
E= welcome home Babe
J= no thank you ( kiss)
E= so how was your day
J= it was pretty good I got visited by my three favorite girls today so that was good and thank you for visiting
E= well you're very welcome
J= so it smells amazing in here what are you cooking
E= well for one I just got done making it so you got home just in time
J= got perfect timing then
E= yes you do and I made some chicken Alfredo for dinner
J= that sounds amazing I'm starving
E= like you are always are but let's eat
We all eat our dinner while catching up with each other about our day about 15 minutes later everyone is done eating
PJ= mommy can I go play now
E= yes you both can since you both are done eating
CN= okay
PJ= let's go cami
CN= all right ( they leave)
J= I will go do the dishes
E= no way I got them why don't you go hang out with ember while I get the dishes done
J= that's not fair you cook you shouldn't have to clean up
E= it's fine besides you've been at work all day so go spend time with ember she misses her daddy
J= all right you're the best you know that
E= yes I do
While I do the dishes the older to play with their toys in The living room while Jay enjoy some quality time with ember about 10 minutes later I was finished with the dishes so I went and joined Jay on the couch
J= come on ember smile at daddy
E= she doesn't want to smile
J= no way she will smile for daddy because she loves her daddy
E= i'm sure she will ( she smiles)
J= well look at that she smiled at me
E= whatever but she smiles for the first time Way to go Ember
We spent about another hour trying to ember to smile more, then it was time for the kids to get in the bath and then head to bed. I ended up giving the girls a bath tonight In our bathroom while have Porter a bath in his bathroom Within 45 minutes all the kids were bathed and asleep for the night
J= and now it's just you and me
E= my favorite part of the day
J= couldn't agree more so how was it hanging out with Vanessa today
E= it was nice we talked all about being a mother then she was kind of ready to go back to work but she was sad about leaving Violet for the first time
J= makes sense
E= she also was worried about finding someone to watch Violet like her and Kevin were at work
J= oh yeah and you got to find someone that can come at any time with the way our work hours are we got lucky with Payton
E= well speaking of her I suggested to Vanessa that maybe Peyton can watch Violet also
J= all right but did you ask Peyton if she would be OK with watching another child
E= once Vanessa left I called Peyton and she didn't mind at all so next week Kevin and Vanessa will be dropping off Violet before we all head into work
J= sounds like you got it all figured out
E= I guess I do
J= so are you ready to go back to work this time around
E= I Kinda am ready to go back I'm ready to have a little break from the kids during the day and have an adult conversation again I hope that doesn't make me sound like a bad mom
J= not at all I bet you ask any mom ever and they will tell you the same thing they don't want to be around their kids 24 seven they need a little break
E= okay that makes me feel much better
J= I am so happy to hear that
E= well besides work my doctor cleared me for for something else
J= oh she did what is it
E= well I will give you a hint it has us both playing a game with no clothes on
J= are you saying what I think you're saying
E= yes I am but before we go to far you better use a condom I don't need another baby so soon
J= come on we make some cute babies why not one more
E= no way I want to work again like normal
J= all right
E= so let's play scrabble again
J= yes please
We play a couple rounds of scrabble on the couch it felt nice to be with Jay, I missed this we play a couple more around of scrabble in bed then eventually fall asleep in each others arms.
