Author's Note
This chapter was easy and at the same time, difficult to put into words. By the time it was finished I had rearranged half the chapter to make it seem right to me.

"He's special… So make him the best hero… for me…"
A bright smile filled his mind, the image of glowing green eyes forever etched into his mind, taking up permanent residence there. Whenever he closed his eyes all he could see was her freckled cheeks pulled up into that wide sharp toothed grin of hers, the look she'd give him when she wanted him to know that everything was going to be fine.
Even now, as he lay on his bed late into the afternoon, her final words echoed in his mind.
Only a few weeks had passed since she died for his sake, and he'd been in a perpetual state of…
Of just…
Mute pain. His heart felt like it had an Izuku sized hole in it, and nothing but her presence would ever be capable of filling that hole.
His parents had become worried about him, his reaction to losing Izuku bad. They expected that he'd cry, breakdown, shut out the world for a while.
But he'd gone terrifyingly quiet, those wild flaming eyes that he was known for had sharpened. The attitude of his that matched his quirk seemed to have taken a permanent backseat over his broken and cynical heart.
His eyes stared burning holes into his ceiling, his mind running a mile a minute. He paused for a moment before fishing around in his pants pocket. He pulled out a calling card, eyeing the number on the front.
His eyes narrowed sharply, having already pulled out his phone. He typed the number in within moments, not hesitating to dial it.
The phone rang for a moment before someone picked up.
"Hello! All Might here!" The number one hero's voice boomed through the phone.
"If you're not busy, I'd like to start training now." Katsuki spoke quietly but firmly. The man on the other side of the phone audibly calmed down when he realized just who was calling him.
"I.. I see." The hero muttered. "Young Bakugo, meet me at Dagoba beach at sunrise tomorrow morning. We shall begin your journey to the top then." He spoke seriously.
"I'll be there." The platinum blond muttered. All Might made a noise of confirmation before hanging up.
Katsuki lay back on his bed. Tomorrow he would begin his promise to Izuku.
He would climb to the top of the world, so that one day he could say that he achieved her dream. And then, maybe in the next life he could face her and apologize.
But for now, he needed a long night of sleep. It was going to be a restless one, that he knew for sure.
But it was going to be better then nothing…
Three months later
"Oh my bloody little Izu… Why'd you have to go and die…?"
It was late at night, the frigid air sending powerful shivers down the spines of all who it touched. A dull white light shone lightly from the moon, a thick blanket of clouds barely letting any light sneak through.
The local graveyard was a quiet and somber place, but to some it was a place where many went to grieve. It was, however, not either for a young blond schoolgirl.
"We could've been friends! I could've made you bleed such pretty blood…" The girl gushed, a wide twisted grin marring her face. Her cheeks were blazing red just thinking about it, the idea something of a wet dream. But the girl went and died, so how could she fulfill that dream now?
"Stupid Izu… You don't need to die for people… You could've died for me instead. Wouldn't that have been amazing? Then I could be you, feel you, taste you…." The girl sighed, trailing off. She licked her sharp fangs absentmindedly, already itching to stick them into someone.
She bent down atop the lone gravestone, lightly kicking at the ground. She pouted, not for the first time wishing that she could have the girl by her side.
But nooo.
Death was jealous of their relationship and wanted her all to himself…
Why did death get her but not her? It wasn't fair!
"You know, you're not a good friend… I do all the talking and you just listen, why don't you talk back…" She muttered quietly, twiddling her thumbs. "Big bro Shigi talks back, but you're all quiet."
Her eyes suddenly lit up, the girl throwing her hands to her cheeks. "Unless you're shy!?" She suddenly cooed, grabbing her cheeks. "My my, I didn't know you were the shy type? I learn more about my dear Izu every day!"
She eventually calmed down again, her expression falling. Even dreams of her weren't enough to sustain her lustful wishes. She needed her, to see her again.
To watch her bleed for her again…
"You're so mean, Izu! You can't just leave me like that! We were supposed to be together!" She screamed, kicking the tombstone. Her insane ramblings aside, she felt alone as a silence fell over the graveyard once again.
"…"
Until…
"Huh? What was that…?" The girl pressed her ear up to the cold stone, listening carefully. She swore she heard something just then! And as she looked around, she confirmed that she was alone.
Was she hearing things?
Well…
That wasn't impossible…
"Tell me Izu! Are you a ghost? Give me a sign!" She ranted, tapping the tombstone. There was silence again for a few minutes, before she heard something again.
".. -ut…. O.. t…" She heard it! Muffled to the point of a silent whisper. Her ghost, Izu was a ghost!
"Oh Izu, I knew you'd never leave me! Now we can hang out together forever!" The insane girl beamed.
(Thud)
The blond squeaked as she jumped from the tombstone, falling to the ground. There was a loud thump that came from the ground, scaring her half to death.
Was this her Izu's ghost powers? Was Izu trying to spook her?
Silly Izu! She couldn't be scared by such simple-
(Thud thud)
She jumped again, whipping her head around. The thumping grew louder, stronger.
"Ou… t… O… ut…"
The girl squeaked as a hand burst forth from the ground, grasping her leg. She couldn't help it, and despite herself, she screamed like a little girl. She struggled to get away, kicking at the opposing limb to let her free.
It didn't seem to carry much strength, and she was able to burst free from the vice grip.
The schoolgirl stumbled to the ground a few feet away, watching the dirt in front of the tombstone with wide shaking eyes. The ground shook for a moment, before another hand burst forth as something struggled to crawl out.
For a moment she paused, eyes locked intently onto the arms that burst from the ground. She knew those green painted fingernails anywhere!
"Izu!" She ran forward, grasping the hands and pulling. Dirt exploded upwards, flying everywhere.
"A-Ahah…" She fell backwards, a heavy weight falling atop her. She closed her eyes for a moment, before blinking. She gasped as her ruby red orbs locked onto a pair of dull lifeless green ones. Long green and black locks that were previously tame had become wild, splitting apart at random. Past her head was her beautiful young body, a cold white in color, only a tattered pair of undergarments keeping her modesty. Her chest was riddled with holes, and a large gash crossed her face and the top of her chest.
But there was absolutely no mistaking just who this was, not in her eyes. Large holes littered her chest, one straight through her left breast. Her face had a stitching line that stretched across from one ear to another, crossing just above her nose. But she was still the girl that she longed for, somehow here, laying atop her.
"Izu!? You're here! This is amazing!" The blond cooed, giddy beyond belief. She didn't know how this was possible, it didn't make sense! She saw her die on the news, everyone did. "You died! I can't believe you're here! Does this mean..? You're a zombie?! I've always wanted a zombie friend!" She ranted excitedly.
But now she was here, and they would finally be reunited! She would finally have her friend, the one that she always wanted!
And it seemed like Izuku thought the same too, because not a moment later she leaned in close, their lips only an inch away. The insane blond closed her eyes, leaning in to meet the dead girl's lips in a heated k-
"A-Ahahh!" The blond gasped, Izuku having bit her lips the moment they touched. The girl stumbled backwards, Izuku falling atop her. Not even a second later Izuku bit into the blond's neck, somehow missing her jugular. Blood met the dead girl's tongue, the blond shivering in some kind of emotion beneath her.
"A-Ah.. Izu… so rough…" She bit her tongue, holding back a moan. She was supposed to be the one who bit, the one who bled others, not the other way around. But she found herself unable to fight off the green haired girl that assaulted her, the pleasure too much to fight back.
Within moments of draining the schoolgirl of her blood, proper lively color returned to the late Midoriya. Her dull lifeless eyes suddenly lit up in a bright glowing green, recognition filling her gaze. She let the girl go, slowly pulling away from her.
What…?
What was she doing?
Did…?
Did she bite that girl just now? Why had she pinned her down…?
Wait.. Who was this girl? She'd never seen her before in her life?
Or had she..?
Where….
The girl's brain completely paused for a moment, eyes glazing over. A couple seconds later she returned.
Where…
Where was she…? And…?
Why was she underdressed..?
And why did her body feel so heavy, so slow and weak. Her head felt heavy, as if waking from a year long coma…
Why was her head so foggy..?
She couldn't recall a thing…
Nothing came to mind, no matter how much she tried to remember…
She glanced down at her own body, noting as the holes that were responsible for her death slowly stitch themselves back together, the damage vanishing, leaving behind nothing but stitch marks.
She…? She died? When did…
When had she been impaled? She didn't…
Didn't remember…
"O-Oh… I-Izu…" Izuku's gaze slowly turned back to the girl she sat atop, taking in her hot and bothered appearance, despite the blood on her lips and her neck.
She had no idea what was happening, where she was and why her head was so unbearably foggy. But even then, in her confusion and lack of proper thinking, the real her leaked through immediately Her expression faltered, and she couldn't help but ask the first thing that came to mind.
"We weren't having sex… were we?" The undead girl asked aloud, suddenly feeling a little too exposed. She quickly wrapped an arm around her chest, trying to save at least some of her modesty…
Not that she really cared too much anyway…
Her mother would kill her if she found out she was with someone before she was…
Wait…?
Who was her mother…?
She…?
Why couldn't she remember…? She…
She had a mother..?
Right..?
Wait…?
Why was she in a graveyard? Why was she practically naked in a graveyard? Who's sick idea was that?
And why was she making out/literally drinking the blood from this total stranger? She couldn't tell what was happening before she registered the world around her. She really hoped she wasn't playing around with someone…
And why was said stranger really, really enjoying it..?
She shook her head, trying to stand up, but…
"A-Ahhn.." She grunted, falling to the ground. She tired to readjust herself, but her movements were twitchy, sporadic. She was cold, freezing cold, but she wasn't shaking. But her limbs weren't working correctly, sluggish and wrong. They were slowed, a side effect of the chill perhaps. She was too drowsy to think on it properly.
That didn't make sense, she remembered being strong…
Not…
Not what…?
She narrowed her eyes, struggling to recall what she was just thinking about. But despite her attempt, the thought escaped her.
Wait…
Why was she in a graveyard…? Did someone she knew die? She didn't remember…
"Izu… I can't believe you were just sleeping here the whole time!" The zombie turned her attention back to the schoolgirl, watching as she picked herself up off the ground. There was a smile on her face and a look in her eyes that screamed wrong, incorrect, broken.
But she, for some reason, didn't even notice it. No, her brain didn't even register it. But, it did lock onto what she said.
Wait…?
What did she say? Sleeping? Sleeping where?
To answer the zombie's question she turned to the upturned grave, dirt everywhere. There was small splatters of blood littered about, likely from the girl.
"Oh..." Izuku muttered nonchalantly, blinking in confusion. Flashes of memories struck her, assaulting her partially working mind. The image of a green sludge monster.. man? A large crowd of people, a big blond muscle man hero… And the red eyes of a certain platinum blond haired teen…
That's right! She died in a battle against some villain, she couldn't remember who they were or what they looked like. She was fighting to save…
Fighting to save…
To save…
"Kacchan…" Izuku breathed, a distant look crossing her eyes. That was the first thing she remembered. It was the only memory that clearly came to mind, standing out in her fog filled head.
Kacchan was important to her. She remembered him, his face the first thing that came to her wandering mind. His flaming red hot eyes, that confident sneer, that wild explosive blond hair. The looks he would give her when he thought she wasn't looking, and how he'd blush when she turned his way…
She needed to protect him, he was special, that she remembered. So special to her, so dearly important to her that she died for him.
She died…
"W-Where..? Where is… he?" She stumbled to her feet, bracing herself against her tombstone. She needed to find him, make sure he was okay. After all, he was a klutz. After that they could…
She could…
Brrrrrrr………
She blanked again, staring off into the distance. Her head became fuzzy again, green eyes flashing a dull color as her body stuttered.
"Hey… Izu..? Where yah going?" The blond bounced, jumping in front of the girl. Her red eyes widened as Izuku slowly turned towards her, before suddenly lunging for her again, managing to bite her arm. "Gah! Why are you s-so rough..?!" She fell back as the zombie pushed her to the ground, feeding off of her bloody arm.
At once, Izuku's eye color returned, her strength coming along with it. Her senses returned a moment later. She pulled back with a start, cringing slightly.
Ah…
She bit that girl again…
The zombie licked her lips clean, ignorant to the remaining damage from her death healing itself, stitching appearing across the top of her breasts, leaving her looking patchwork like, but fixed.
"Hey… uh… Sorry for biting you…" Izuku muttered, her expression faltering. "Like… multiple times…" She still wasn't sure why she did that…
The girl giggled a mad laugh, her cheek blazing red. "Oh don't worry, Izu… I don't mind.. As long as I get to bite you back…" She admitted, eyes locking onto the girl. Izuku ignored or seemingly didn't register the blond's last statement, staring at her blankly , head tilted to the side.
Izuku blinked, staring at her intently. The schoolgirl stared back, awaiting whatever she was going to say.
"Do I know you?" The zombie asked, rubbing the back of her head. The blond beamed.
"No, but I know you, Izu! Let's be friends! I pulled you out of your grave. I'm Himiko!" Himiko grinned, rambling on. "You can be Himiko's big sister!"
Izuku blinked at the girl in thought for a solid minute, face blank, before a sharp toothed grin split her face. "I've never had a little sister before!" She grinned, before her grin turned thoughtful. "At least… I don't remember having a sister…"
She would remember if she had a…
Wait…
Maybe she did have a sister?
Did she lose her memory when she died?
Oh yeah, she died…
"Yay!! Oh you're the best, big sis Izu!" Himiko threw herself around the green haired girl, shoving her face into her chest. The zombie blankly stared ahead, patting the blond on the head absentmindedly. Something felt wrong about this whole situation, but she couldn't place why.
The two stood there for a little, Izuku trying to rein in what remained of her memories. Her last fight had resulted in this, and now she was alive again. How and why that was the case, she had no idea. Trying to think on it made her head hurt, so she didn't.
She realized that she was being way too casual about her situation, but when she thought about it, she realized that she should probably be freaking out right then.
But, it was as if her brain didn't care. As if the part of her humanity that dictates what's scary and what's not, what she should worry about, and what she shouldn't bother worrying over, was turned off. As if her humanity and her morality…
Had died…
Her perspective on that was always a little tweaked, more so then anyone else. But now, it was as if it was turned completely off, leaving her nonchalant about the whole ordeal. That alone was what made her concerned more then anything else.
However, that aside, a new problem made itself apparent. It had begun to rain, and the zombie was completely undressed, save for a pair of undergarments. It was literally freezing temperatures outside, and while she was…
Sixty percent sure she wasn't going to die a second time, she was sure of one thing. It was quickly becoming very difficult to move her muscles.
Could she die again? A second time?
Would…
Would she come back from it once more?
To brush off death again?
Izuku spun around, looking at her surroundings.
This graveyard she found herself crawling out of looked familiar, perhaps even nearby Katsuki's house. She remembered what it looked like…
The color of the front door…
Without waiting she shambled away, limping and twitching forward on her path. With every step she took it became just a little harder to keep moving, her joints locking up.
Himiko was about to go after her, but a buzzing in her pocket caught her attention.
It was time to return home. Shigi was probably freaking out about her right now. She sighed, shaking her head.
"Oh well.. maybe we can… Izu?" The crazy blond blinked, looking up in surprise. She was suddenly alone in the graveyard.
She pouted, crossing her arms. Izuku had seemingly vanished the moment she wasn't looking. Even when she was alive she was easily able to do that.
She supposed she shouldn't stay out any longer then she needed…
Without another thought, the girl quickly vanished into the night…
Bloodshot eyes stared blankly forward, an annoyed and irritated expression portrayed across a shady looking face, hidden behind disheveled light blue hair. Dry cracked fingers repeatedly tapped the table of a bar, dim lighting doing nothing to portray a safe environment.
"Kurogiri… Why is Himiko not back yet?" A scratchy voice muttered lowly, that incessant tapping slowly increasing in speed. The young man's bloodshot eyes blinked slowly, finally tearing his attention away from an unsuspecting wall and to the only other man in the room.
Behind the bar the man sat was a sharply dressed looking butler, rather normal looking if not for the indisputable fact that the only exposed section of his body was a vague image of a face made from a deep purple mist. Around his neck was an interesting piece of technology, a large metal collar that seemed to regulate his misty form.
The butler hummed, taking hold of a dirty shot glass, cleaning it absentmindedly. "Master Tomura, surely you are aware of Himiko's less then… normal tendencies…" Kurogiri thought carefully before he spoke, choosing the right words he felt were correct. He was careful not to…
Upset, his master. Tomura was known for his mood swings, and he was not willing to put himself on his bad side. The last underling that had done so was the dust that he was responsible for cleaning up only an hour ago. Although he usually claimed they were scum already deserving of such a fate, and that it would've happened eventually.
A mess maker, his master was. He had lost count of the times he'd had to clean the place because someone had upset the young man.
"She's usually back by now. I cannot lose her just because she decided to get herself into trouble… Her attitude is going to cause a problem soon." Tomura grumbled, raising his cracked fingers to rub his temples. He already felt a headache coming on.
"Perhaps I can locate her for you? I'm sure that she isn't far…" Kurogiri offered helpfully. Tomura hummed, but didn't comment. Kurogiri glanced down quietly.
Villain Perhaps his master was, but cruel heartless man he was not. He cared for his own, and if someone had hurt one of his own then their would be hell to pay. Becoming someone that he'd view as one of his own was hard to accomplish, yet some had reached that point.
"Toga is not weak. She will return. I just hope she doesn't bring along another lose end…" The young man trailed off, finally standing from his barstool.
Kurogiri sighed, a strange sound coming from someone who was seemingly constructed from mist. Perhaps it would do good to distract his master from what bothered him for the moment.
"Perhaps while we wait, would you like to go over the roster? One of your underlings returned with it only a few hours ago. And, while rushed, may contain a few good choices to select from." Kurogiri offered, having already pulled it from his drawer.
Tomura sighed, turning back to his right hand man. He leaned into the bar, face pulled into a dull frown. "Sure… What did he find?"
Kurogiri was mildly surprised at how easy it was to gain his master's attention this time around, but didn't squander this chance. He must be in a particularly strange mood if he was able to turn his attention away from what bothered him so.
"The scum managed to track down ten potential recruits, however I am remiss to believe them worth your time." Kurogiri hastily started, sliding the paper across the bar counter. Tomura took hold of it, careful to keep at least one of his fingers off the paper. It wouldn't do to destroy it so quickly after all.
"Bank robber… Takenaka Izanami, woman with minor seduction powers… two failed accounts of robbery, one successful…" Kurogiri could physically feel the disappointment rolling off the blue haired man in waves.
"Okay… Higa Raiden… Can fire minor electrical surges from fingertips, not strong enough to deal significant damage…" He muttered, before pressing the palms of his hands to his eyes. "Why do I even try? This is stupid… This is actually stupid..." Tomura grumbled.
"Well, I am sure the next candidate will be worth your time…" Kurogiri added helpfully, although he had the distinct feeling that he was wrong. The man sighed again, pulling up the paper once more.
"Yamaguchi Orochi, half serpent woman. No special powers except for increased strength in her lower body's snake half…." He deadpanned. "No account of theft… Well why would…? This is… Forget it…" Tomura tossed the papers haphazardly behind him, holding his head in his hands. He was too exhausted to even be upset at the stupidity at this point.
-Bang-
The villain nearly jumped out of his skin as the door to his underground bar slammed open, and in came strolling the girl he'd been stressing about.
"Hiya Shigi!" Himiko beamed, covered from the neck down in her own blood.
"Good lord! What in the world happened to you?!" Kurogiri was quickly beside her, careful to keep a certain distance away.
Was the girl attacked? If so by who? Tomura would surely end them if he found out who managed to put her in such a state.
"I made a new friend! She bites too!" Himiko beamed, eyes glazed. She suddenly felt woozy. "She bites a… lot…" The girl promptly fainted, the blood loss finally getting to a point that it affected her.
Kurogiri was quick to get her patched up, wrapping the bite marks and quickly putting a stop to the loss of blood.
Tomura hadn't said anything, but his head plopping onto the bar was probably enough of an explanation to his feelings…
