Erin's POV: it's been a little over a month since I've been back to work it was kind of hard to leave my kids but then I love they will be fine Camryn It's almost 2 years old which is crazy my baby is turning to you very soon over the last month Porter turned three years old he had the best birthday party ever, he got everything he wanted right now ember just turned two months old and she is super happy all the time she's laughing a few times here and there right now we are at work working on a major case
HV= so what do we have
KA= I just learned this guy is an ex military who got discharged two years ago

J= yeah so I might have met him before
AO= looks like it kid
AR= so he is doing all these killings because of some PTSD

We get back to looking for more things about 10 minutes later he comes out of his office
AR= we still got nothing Sergeant
HV= well keep looking hey Erin and Jay can I talk to you in my office for a second

J= sure coming ( in his office)

E= ( they do ) all right so what's up
HV= So since we found out this guy we are chasing is an ex ranger I was thinking of ways to catch him and I think I came up with something that includes you Jay
J= it does what is it Hank
HV= well how would you like to go and try to get close to him
J= that sounds like it would be cool so how long will I be under cover for
E= why am I in here to talk about Jay going undercover
HV= well for one Erin if he goes undercover he hast to leave your home and go to a undercover house without you guys at all. So that means you will have the kids all by yourself
J= so how long will I be away from my family sir
HV= well I'm hoping only a week maybe two but you never know with these undercover gigs
E= you got to be kidding me you have to come up with a better plan than this to get this guy
HV= i'm sorry Erin but this is what would be best it works out that he is an ex ranger like Jay is they can bond over their time in the Rangers
J= come on Erin do you know having a connection to your suspect is very helpful to catching him
E= I know that but if you want me to go on this undercover job I will be a single mom or not one but three kids
HV= we know but you aren't totally alone me in this unit are your family we can always help you out if you need
J= hey hey do you mind if I can think about it and get back to you on the decision also so me and Erin can discuss it more as a family
HV= I guess so how about I send you guys home now so you guys can talk about it and then maybe join me in the morning for breakfast to tell me what your decision will be

We leave hanks office grab our stuff and head home do you live home within 20 minutes as you walk in the door we hear our kids laughter
E= hey Payton

J= hey Porter how was your guys day
PJ= it was good we play hide and go seek and we also built some fort with Peyton and watch some movies
E= wow you guys had a busy day
PS= hey guys ( looks at her watch ) you guys are home early is there a reason why
J= not really just Hank sent us home to spend some time with the kids
PS= all right then I guess I will get out of here and enjoy the rest of my day
E= oh yeah have fun
Once Peyton leaves me and Jay play with the kids for a while , A little bit later Jay gets up and makes us some dinner while I play with the kids more about 20 minutes later the food was done so we all ate dinner while the kids told us about their fun day they had with their nanny Peyton we finished our food in about 20 minutes
J= man I am full
E= same here wait to go on dinner again babe
J= why thank you
E= Who knew you would be a perfect little house husband

E= I think I did from the first day we met

While I go and do the dishes and clean up the kitchen chair place with the kids before it's bath time. About 20 minutes later I finish and grab Porterville Jacobs girls and we all do bath and bedtime with them. About 45 minutes later I get Porter down and now I'm waiting on Jay in our bedroom
J= and the girls are finally down
E= so what girl gave you the most trouble getting down
J= why don't you take a gas first
E= my guess is Camryn
J= nope it was miss ember
E= wow I'm surprise she usually goes down pretty easy for bed
J= I know I was shocked so how did it go with Porter putting him down
E= it went pretty well he wanted to cuddle a little bit before he went to bed so that was nice
J= I bet it was it's crazy how far Porter has come since we brought him home
E= I know it kind is selfish of me that I hopes that Chelsea doesn't find Porter a permit home because I kind of want him to be ours forever
J= not at all it makes you the opposite of selfish you are amazing person Erin
E= why thank you
J= no problem babe and I feel the same way I kind of want him to be ours forever and nobody else's
E= i'm glad we are on the same page
J= we always are so I think it's time to talk about what Hank talk to us about earlier

J= so what are your thoughts about it since you've had a few hours to think about it
E= I don't even know like why would hang suggest you go undercover Adam isn't even a father yet why not send him undercover
J= it would make sense but this criminal is an ex-army ranger like I was
E= like that part makes sense but still he is a dangerous man I don't want nothing to happen to you because then I really had to raise these kids alone
J= oh Erin come here ( she does ) I promise you nothing I mean nothing will ever happen to me that will take me away from you or the kids ever you can't get rid of me that easy
E= ( laughs) stop it
J= why I got you to smile I love when you smile it's the best

E= The kids will miss you so much

Jay and me Play scrabble a few times then we take a shower and do more rounds of Scrabble until we both were so exhausted that we fell asleep the next morning we do a couple more rounds of Scrabble then we get up and get the kids up and get dressed and head toward the diner that we're meeting Hank at

CN= grandpa ( runs to hank)
E= hey Hank thanks for inviting us to breakfast
HV= it's no problem
J= I say let's order some food before these kids start to get hungry
E= are we sure you're aren't getting hungry yourself there Jay
J= okay maybe I am
E= of course you are
We all order our food, then we wait about 20 minutes before it comes out and we all eat it within another 15 minutes
HV= so did you guys think about what we talked about yesterday
J= yes we did so I will do the undercover job to catch him
HV= all right that's great to hear
E= so when do you want Jay to go undercover
HV= I say as soon as possible so how about tonight you go to your undercover house
J= all right that works for me it will give me enough time to pack up some stuff and spend some time with the kids today
E= all right
HV= so Erin do you want a few days off or do you want to go to work
E= I think today and maybe tomorrow I would like off but go back to work on Tuesday so the kids can have somewhat of a normal schedule
J= that sounds good
HV= Erin just to let you know this unit will help you out with the kids so lean on us if you need the help

Once everyone was finished eating a breakfast we say goodbye to Hank and then me and Jay and the kids all go home to spend the day with each other. Later that evening Jay gave all the kids a bath while I cleaned out the house about 45 minutes later I am in the master bedroom waiting on Jay to come in
J= all the kids are asleep
E= that's good so did Hank text you what time you have to be at the undercover house
J= he told me to be there around midnight
E= that's good it gives me some time with you for a little bit
J= can't complain about that so what would you like to do with our along time
E= I don't know maybe play scrabble so I can feel close to you for just a little bit
J= I would be happy to
We played scrabble for a while but for some reason it felt like the first time we made love it was nice and slow but it was totally what we needed in that moment about 10 minutes later
E= I forgot to ask you how did it go with bath and bedtime with the kids
J= it went very well for bath but for bed they all didn't want to be put to bed at all
E= I can't blame them at all
J= I think they knew something was up or something was going on that's why they didn't really want to go to bed
E= I bet but they are still too young to understand what's happening
J= oh yeah when they older and something like this happens we will explain it to them the best we can
E= oh yeah and tell them the truth
J= that is for sure I probably should get up soon to pack my stuff
E= I am not ready I just want to enjoy being in your arms just a little bit longer I have no clue what I'll be doing until you get back
J= maybe you can pull out your six pillows again and use them to cuddle at night time
E= I guess I could
J= maybe I can leave a couple T-shirt of mine that has my scent on it for you to sleep in
E= I love that idea the most
J= I figured you would also here ( takes his ring off) I want you to hold onto this for me like wear it around your neck if you want
E= all right
We just stay in each other's arms for about an hour longer then Jay gets up and starts packing his stuff,
J= don't burn the house down while I'm gone I want to come back to this house in one piece
E= haha you're so funny I won't besides I've been getting better at cooking
J= yes you have babe also don't leave the bathroom messy like usual
E= I do not Jay you are so mean to me sometimes
J= I know but you still love me ( leans in)
E= yeah sometimes ( kiss him) oh God I'm going to miss this
J= I am hope this job goes by fast
E= I hope so too ( looks at his bag) so is everything packed
J= yeah which means I have to go
E= oh I hate this ( gets up puts in a shirt) here let me walk you out
J= all right ( walk to the door) hey I love you Erin you know that right
E= yes I do and I love you so much Jay please be careful ( starts to cry )
J= oh Erin ( pulls her into his arms) I promise everything will be fine
E= promise me that no matter what you come back to me and the kids and in one piece

another five minutes later of us just been in each others arms it was finally time to pull away and let Jay walk away. Once he was fully out of my story I shut the door and called in the bed crying myself to sleep. The next morning when the kids woke up they asked me where Jay was and I had to explain to them that he was away for work they were sad but we went about our day. Throughout the day the kids were pretty good and weren't acting out so that was good I was happy we made it through one day without Jay and without me losing my mind. When we went to bed the kids only lasted about 15 minutes in their own bed before they all ended up in mine so we had a sleepover in our bedroom. The next morning the kids woke up early and made it super hard to get ready for work luckily Peyton showed up and made it a lot easier, I was only five minutes late to work
P= hey Erin how was your morning
E= don't ask can you just buzz me up
P= okay see you
AR= wow I'm not the late one this time
E= bite me Adam I'm only five minutes late and how about you try to do all three kids who all want their daddy at once
KA= I guess you shouldn't tease her today
AD= it might be smart not to
AR= all right I'm sorry Erin I don't understand how you feel
E= no I'm sorry Adam I had a crazy day yesterday and then this morning they all woke up super early I now know how it feel for the women who have to be a single mom because it's super hard.
VR= it's so hard to be a mom
HV= hey kid
E= hey Hank sorry I'm late
HV= it's okay I totally understand so how would you and the kids like to come over for dinner tonight
E= that sounds perfect
HV= I thought you would like someone else to cook your food for you
AR= hey boss can I come over I need better food than what I get home
HU= um excuse me Adam
KA= oh shit you're in the doghouse now
VR= and you can't come over to our house
AD= mine either
HU= so you don't like my cooking

HV= and Adam to answer your question no you can't come over for one fix what you just did to your wife and two you are never allowed at my house and lastly I only want to spend time with my grandkids and Erin
AD= good luck Adam maybe go buy all the flowers she likes to make make up to her
KA= happy wife happy life
Adam goes and runs after Haley while we all dive into the case we get the case sold pretty fast and I hurry up and get my paperwork done so I can head home to see how everything went today
E= hey Peyton I'm home
PS= look kids mommy is home
HK= mommy ( runs to her)
E= oh my goodness I miss you guys so much, so Peyton how were they today
PS= at first it was rough but once they took their naps it was way better
E= that's good hey kids why don't you go play while I walk Peyton out

E= so did any of them ask for Jay today
PS= Porter did a lot Camryn did a few times
E= all right hopefully this assignment goes by fast so I can have my teammate back

She leaves and I go and play with the kids for a few hours before we have to leave for Hanks house. We all arrive at hanks house by six

HV= I don't think they do it either they just go one day at a time besides Camille did her very best with Justin while I was working nonstop
E= oh god if Camille was here she would be able to give me some help advice on handling three kids on my own

HV= I have a feeling it's only a few more days he's got a major lead by connecting with the guy really good today
E= that's good to hear I can't keep being a single mom for much longer
Me and the kids enjoy a nice meal at his house then we spent a couple more hours there until it was time for everybody's bedtime so I took them home and we all went to bed
Jay's POV: it's been two wonderful months since we had our second perfect little princess Ember she has brought so much joy into this house the kids love her she does seem like she loves me more which I love. A few days ago we started working on a case where someone who used to be in the rain just started to kill people all because of his PTSD so he came up with an idea To going undercover and bond with him to get him to confess. I was up for it but Erin didn't like the idea at first because that means I will be leaving her and the kids for a couple weeks. But in the end she finally understood why I needed to go undercover. I now have been working undercover for almost a week I sure do miss my family but I think today I will catch the guy within a few hours he finally confessed to killing people and was getting ready to kill someone else so we got him. Now my undercover job is done back at this district
AR= well that was a good bust jay
KA= oh yeah and in record time
J= well when you got motivation to get back to your family you do whatever it takes
HV= well whatever the reason good job Jay and thanks for doing this
J= it's no problem
AD= I bet you're so ready to go home to your kids and your family
J= oh yeah I am but I want to get this paperwork done before I go
HV= nonsense Jay you can finish it later
KA= or I can finish it for you
HV= just go pick up some food here I'll even pay ( hands him some money) and go home to your family Jay

Once I leave the district I Head to our favorite Chinese place and pick up our favorites, then I drive home as fast as possible once I arrive I text Hank to let them know that I just arrived home

HV= nothing just calling to check in on you how have you been since Tuesday
E= i've been better but I still Miss Jay so do the kids is there any updates on when jay will get to come home
HV= no I don't sorry
E= it's all right Hank I understand
HV= so I'm wondering have you and the kids ate dinner yet
E= no we haven't why
HV= well good thing I ordered you some food and it's outside right now just open your front door
E= okay well thank you then ( gets up and walks to the door) what did you get us to eat because we all are starving

We all eat our food while the kids tell me what they did while I was gone. I was just happy to finally be with my family we get done eating within 30 minutes after dinner we all play on the floor for an hour or two before the kids have to go to bed, Erin let me put them to bed about 20 minutes later I join her and ember on the couch
E= so how did it go
J= they went down kind of easy but only if I was holding them
E= oh how sweet
J= yeah they must've missed me
E= they sure did I never got to sleep alone in a bed while you were gone
J= wow so they slept with you every night in our bed
E= oh yeah the first night they only lasted 10 minutes until they all wanted to join me and I didn't even try the rest of the time to get them in their own beds
J= well at least you got to cuddle someone for a few days I had to sleep all alone
E= oh poor you maybe I can change that besides I bet you miss playing scrabble

We hang out with ember for a little bit until she starts to fall asleep we put her to bed and then we head off to bed we play around to a scrabble and then we fall asleep in each others arms and enjoy that I am home finally after this long and a cover job and hope there's never another one
