As everyone looked at Lucy. They never knew anything that happened as they were trapped in that Alegria. Lucy closed her eyes as she didn't want to talk about. She was still aching from the pain of losing the only mother figure she had. She couldn't even know how she was. She couldn't even see her, or even ask to receive a sign. This was hurting her every single day as time passed on.
"Lu, why didn't you ever say anything?" Levy asked as she looked at her friend.
"Because there was never any time to say anything." Lucy looked away, she will not cry at this moment. She can't. She needs to be strong. "Makarov disbanded us! Everyone went their separate ways! How was I suppose to tell anyone!" She yelled. "I thought we were one big family, but no one stayed...You all did what you could do to have money. But, what was the point? IF I said anything - would you have stayed? It doesn't matter anymore! It's over, and I will find her key again. By myself!" Lucy declared.
Inside her soul, her heart broke into a million pieces as she finally spoke what was ripping her apart. This is - no. This was her family. Fairy Tail - the one she came to join is now long gone. Who ever these people are - are completely different. Everyone has changed and of course she didn't care. She changed too. She has the new and stronger spirits. The Celestial Dragons - as that what they became.
"Lucy-" Natsu started to say.
"NO! You! YOU OF ALL PEOPLE DON'T GET THE RIGHT TO SAY ANYTHING TO ME NATSU!" Lucy screamed. "You left me...a note saying you were leaving..." The tears finally poured down her face as her emotions were a mess.
From the second floor, Bickslow was watching her soul - he wanted to act before it was a too -
"Too late..." Bickslow muttered.
"What do you mean too late?" Freed asked, as he picked up an ancient book on Seith Magic and the meaning of souls. He wanted to know if there was anything that they could do to help Lucy before her time was up.
"Her soul is completely black, it's too late. We should've been able to have more time to stop that. We should've been able to avoid it - but I guess she was hurting too much." Bickslow growled.
"Is there anything to do before something bad happens to her?" Evergreen asked as she wanted to help Lucy.
There was still so much potential that Lucy had - that Laxus and his team wanted to see from Lucy. There was so much that they wanted to learn from her about her magic and the hidden talents. Just from that one job they took, Ever thought of her as a sister.
"I - I don't know..." Bickslow sighed as he looked at his team. "I don't see any sign of her soul anymore, just darkness."
"They did this to her..." Laxus growled. Lightning was bouncing off his body, as he teleported down to the ground floor - it was making everyone shut up. He had enough about everyone blaming Lucy for not speaking up. "SHUT UP YOU BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!"
When everyone shut up - they looked at Lucy who still had tears, to Laxus who took off his coat and placed it on her shoulders. It was the fact that he had to protect her from - he was becoming the big brother to her. She was swimming inside his big coat, but she didn't mind. This was a side that no one has seen from Laxus.
"Lucy's right. We all did leave Fairy Tail. We left each other. No one bothered to stay around. Dragneel I'm talking about you!" Laxus growled. "We were all hurting, myself and my team were down due to the fucking Tempester mage from Tartaros! Do you think that we would be alive if it wasn't for Lucy?! You guys think about yourself...You guys are sick." There were sparks of Lightning coming off his body as he was pissed.
Mira was the one who stepped forward, closer to Laxus, knowing that he wouldn't hurt her. "Lucy, why did you break Aquarius key?"
"She said that the only way to save everyone, who had enough magic power to deal with the Demons was The Spirit King. The only way to summon him was to break a key that you had a close bond with - and it just couldn't be any key. She wanted -" Lucy's voice broke, as the tears came down. "She wanted me to break her key to summon him. I was low on magic, so the Spirit King couldn't stay out too long. I first summoned Sagittarius, but he was gone within a few seconds. Next was Virgo and Leo, and that placed a drain on my magic. I could barley keep it together. I opened a third gate. I held out three gates. Soon, Leo and Virgo went back and it was just Aquarius holding off Jackal. After breaking her key and the Spirit King being summoned on my own magic, you were all freed, and then the Spirit King gave me a new power." She wiped her tears.
"I'll become stronger, and I'll become Unstoppable. I'll find her key once more and hope she'll want to form a contract with me again." Lucy thought.
While everyone listened to what Lucy said, she let her feet move her towards the door. She had to leave. There was just too much going on at the moment and she wanted to relax. Bickslow watched her leave. He knew that she needed help - but how could he help her if she wouldn't let anyone in? He knew that his team were the only ones who could help her. No one was going to stop her - there was no point to stop her.
Just then there was a fire red glow and the sound of a celestial gate opening. It was Igneel, and he was in a small dragon form. He felt better as a dragon form than in a human form. In the Celestial World there was something going on - the Zodiacs were talking about how they felt a change in Lucy and they were going to figure it out - but right now, she probably wanted space. Though Igneel didn't listen.
"Lucy, what's wrong?" He asked as he walked beside her.
"It's just that, I-I finally told the guild the truth about Aquarius, and why I couldn't summon her. It was...hard. I didn't tell anyone about you guys." She mentioned as she walked over to the small little beach by her apartment. She stared at the water. "I miss her so much. She was my mom's spirit."
Igneel looked at the girl and could tell that she was really hurting. She must've been in so much pain - she still seems to be in pain. Though he guessed when she told her guild, it made that pain ten times worse. She thought -
"What if I just kept my mouth shut and not say anything? Would I still feel like this? Useless, that's what I am. That's probably what everyone thought anyways."
Her thoughts started to make her feel even worse than she already did. Now here she was - walking the beach with Igneel. She knew that if she spoke about these Dragon Keys then it would make it even worse, since Natsu already thought that he lost his 'Father', knowing that he was back as a Celestial Spirit, would make it harder.
Back at the guild, they knew that they still fucked up. The Thunder Legion and Laxus were in the Guild's Library to see if there was anything for them to do. Helping her - or whatever.
Bickslow was angry - yet - he was still sadden at the fact that her soul was now pure dark. It was gone. There was no point to help her if she can't help herself. He had no one to speak to about this. Bickslow needs to know now, if there is something he can do to make her soul go back to the way it was. She was now apart of Team Thunder Legion, so they would be spending more time together and, well, he was going to make an effort to make sure that she got her original soul color back.
"Freed, have you found anything?" Evergreen asked.
"Only that Souls, like Lucy's are very rare. If they ever turn black, then it would be it." Freed sighed.
"Come on, that really can't be it..." Laxus said as he looked at a book.
"It is, Laxus, Bickslow, there's nothing more to help Lucy, she'll soon turn to the dark side." Evergreen said as she read from her book. "It says here that since Celestial Wizards are the most purest of souls, once they turn black, there is a time frame until they are consumed from the darkness of their souls that they take the dark desires and turn evil."
"Evil?!" Freed asked as he looked at Evergreen. "There is no way that it's true..."
"It could be, I never saw it myself, but if it's in the book, then it could be true." Bickslow stated as he sighed and then shook his head as he didn't know what was going to be happening to her.
"This is something that we can't let happen!" Evergreen shouted. "This can't be the end for her. Lucy is the light of Fairy Tail, if her light goes out permanently then what else could there be for Fairy Tail?"
"Just shut up and let me think!" Bickslow growled.
The rest of the guild was trying to figure out why Lucy kept it from everyone. She acted like everything was okay and that there was nothing to worry about because she was so happy. Then there was the fact that what Laxus said was true. After Master Makarov disbanded the guild, everyone left to find a new home to keep it together since everyone needed money. Natsu left to train so that he could harness the magic from Igneel. People have seemed to have forgotten the real meaning of Family.
Making sure that everyone was okay and that they always checked in on each other. Somehow that wasn't it. They were no longer a family when they went their separate ways. They were strangers and yet here they are and they had watched someone who hasn't been a member long enough break down because of holding onto something. Something that was killing them on the inside.
"I-I can't do this anymore." Lucy muttered as she looked at the water. "I'm sorry Aquarius. I wasn't strong enough."
"Are you four still trying to figure out how to help her?" Mavis asked as she knew that there might be a possibility, but it had to be done within the week before Lucy gave in.
"Do you have any way for us to help her?" Freed asked.
"There might be one way, but I'm not sure how well the outcome might be, and it has to be done within the week, before the darkness totally takes over." Mavis sighed.
"What is it?!" Bickslow shouted as he was desperate to help Lucy.
"Confessing Love to her." Mavis said. "The feelings have to be true, in the name of love, I heard it before, but I don't know how well it has worked."
"In the name of love..." Evergreen muttered. "So someone has to confess their love to Lucy?"
"Romantic love." Bickslow stated, "Right?"
"Yeah, but it has to be true. If it's not, it might speed up the process of her falling deeper."
"But we don't know anyone who truly loves her!" Evergreen shouted. "She'll just fall into the dark hole."
The Spirit World started to grow dark. The Spirit World was intuned to Lucy since The Spirit King had granted her the powers of the Star Dress and the fact that he has adopted her in the sense of being a father figure to her. The Spirits could sense that Lucy was in danger, and that her soul was now black. It was only a matter of time, that her senses would soon affect her own spirits. If there was a way to stop it, it needed to be done before the Spirit World changed back to the way it was under the influence of the Eclipse Gate.
"There has to be something that we can do!" Virgo shouted.
"Nothing...There's nothing we can do! This is something that she has to do on her own, or someone from the other side to do!" Loke growled. He was pissed that everyone acted the way they did.
All the spirits saw what had happened when Lucy finally told the guild the truth. This was something that didn't need to done. Aquarius was the only one who was mad at herself for not being able to be there for Lucy. The one Wizard that took care of her in a different way. She became Lucy's second mother after Layla died. This was something that always haunted her to this day. The way that she had to yell at Lucy to break her key...
Aquarius stood there, holding onto Lucy and making sure that a constant wave of water was hitting Jackal. She turned to Lucy and told her that she can't defeat these demons, but there is someone who can. The Celestial Spirit King. Lucy shakes her head and mentions that she doesn't have his key. This was something that was never done before.
"He doesn't have a key. There is only one way to summon him. You have to break a key. Just not any key, it has to be a Zodiac Key and one that you have a strong bond with"
"You can't make me chose between friends!"
"I'm telling you this to save your life! And you don't have to chose, the spirit has to be willing to let you break their key."
"Aquarius..."
"Break my key, Lucy! You have to do it! He can save everyone and defeat the demons."
Of course, the tears streamed down Lucy's face as she tried not to it, but knowing that Aquarius was right, there was only one way for her live and that was to do what she said. Breaking her mother's key.
Lucy looked at the sky as the tears came down her face as she remembered breaking the key and it was hard enough that one those days where her constellation would appear in the sky. Those were the days that Lucy just shut herself away from the world outside.
To save her, feelings must be confessed. One week. He had less time than to get his feeling straight. If he wanted to save her, then he had to make sure that it was done before then. At the end of the one week, she would no longer be Lucy Heartfilia, the Light of Fairy Tail - she would give in to the darkness.
One week to save her. Was that enough time? Would he fail? The team knew that he was the one who could save her, but could he make his feelings for her be true? Was there a possibility that this could fail and that they would lose her to the darkness forever?
