Erin's POV: it's been a couple weeks since we got everything we need for the boys, we also built everything they needed like their cribs and dresser. Also while we were getting things together we got a call from Will and Natalie saying that he had their little boy , so we went to the hospital in meet our newest little nephew and found out his name which is maverick Alexander he was named after Jay which meant so much to him. Right now I am 38 weeks pregnant with the twins I hope these boys decide to come soon because I barely can sleep anymore and I have pains in my back and feet all the time: The kids are so ready to meet their brother tomorrow is Jay's birthday if I wasn't so pregnant I would plan something for him but since I am I'll just go and buy him something right now I am home relaxing while the girls are napping and Porter is at school
J= hey babe I'm home
E= hey you how was work
J= it was good
E= where is Porter
J= he's coming he first had to pick up his mess he made in the car
E= all right
PJ= hey mom where are the girls
E= they are sleeping buddy so how was school today
PJ= it was fun we did so many arts and crafts today
E= wow you did
J= that must've been fun
PJ= well I made something for someone
E= you did buddy who did you make it for
PJ= well I made it for daddy since it's his birthday tomorrow
E= oh how sweet are you
PJ= I don't know if I can wait to give it to him tomorrow
J= oh buddy how about this you let me see it now and then tomorrow you can still give it to me and I'll act like I didn't see it ever how does that sound
PJ= all right that works daddy ( pulls it out) here it is
J= oh buddy this is so cool
E= way to go buddy
J=all right now go put your stuff in your room and wash up
PJ= all right dad ( he leaves)
E= that kid is something special
J= yes he is
E= crazy that he isn't going to be the only boy in this house much longer
J= I know tell me about it
E= I just wish these boys will hurry up and get here already
J= come on it's not too bad
E= okay whatever you sat Try having for lakes kicking you in the webs and your bladder making you had to pay 1000 times a night then come talk to me
J= okay my bad I bet it's hard to be pregnant especially with twins
E-0 it's all right I just am done being pregnant
J= hopefully they come soon
E= oh yeah maybe tell your stubborn boys to get move on it already
J= so they are my boys since they don't want to be born yet
E= oh yeah
J= so how about this you go check on the girls and I will clean up a bit and I'll order us some pizza so neither of us don't have to cook tonight
E= you are a very smart man
J= aren't you glad you marry me
E= whatever dork
I go and check on the girls they happen to be awake so I let them go play in the living room about a few hours later the kids all go to bed so it's just me and Jay in the living room hanging out again
J= so I forgot to ask you this earlier but how was your day with the girls
E= not too bad it's just harder to get on the ground to play with the girls or to pick ember up anymore
J= well Babe maybe your body is telling you not to do that
E= yeah maybe
J= all right so I have a question for you
E= you do what is it
J= so do you have anything planned or did you buy me anything for my birthday that is tomorrow
E= well I haven't planned anything or I haven't bought anything for you so I'm sorry
J= it's no big deal I completely understand why
J= all right maybe next year will do something very special for you
J= oh I can't wait
E= also who knows maybe these boys will decide to join us tomorrow for your birthday
J= yeah that would be a pretty cool birthday present to be honest
E= it would be amazing if all my boys would be born on the same day
J= yeah maybe let's get you to bed you look pretty tired
E= I am so beyond tired but I have an idea that will work for us both
J= you do what is it
E= well I would like to give you some kind of birthday present in this could jumpstart labor for the boys to come how does planes scrabble sound
Before he can answer me he picks me up and carries me to the bedroom as we play a couple rounds of scrabble to celebrate Jay's birthday tomorrow. After if you rounds we both are tired so we fall asleep we just hope this helps the boys to make their way into this world a lot sooner. The next morning I woke up with cold sheets beside me so I got up and go looking for Jay and I found him in the kitchen cooking
J= hey there beautiful did you sleep well
E= yes I did but aren't I supposed to cook for you since it's your birthday
J= yeah you may be supposed to but I figured I would fixed something good for you before I go into work
E= well that's nice of you so what did you cook
J= just some pancakes something simple
E= that works oh by the way happy birthday babe
J= ( leans down and kiss her ) why thank you babe
E= Too bad Hank can I give you a day off for your birthday
J= well for one it would be unfair to the others , for two they would think Hank was giving me special treatment because I am married to his daughter basically. And lastly I need to work as much as possible before these boys decide to come
E= okay for one you make a good point about working as much as possible before they come
J= you know I do
E= and second no one in the unit will think Hank is playing favorites with you ever
J= yeah that's a good
E= you know it
J= all right there is your breakfast my lady and I hate to serve you this and leave you with the mess but I have to go to work before I'm late
E= I completely understand thanks for making breakfast for me
J= you're so welcome ( kiss her)
E= happy birthday babe have the best day ever
J= I will try my best and thanks again
E= it's no problem but you better go birthday boy
Jay went off to work while I eat my pancakes and peas since the kids are still sleeping. Once I get done eating I start cleaning up but once I started cleaning up I felt contractions coming on and they are very painful so I go and sit down to see if they will go away if I do . Within 30 minutes they are pretty much on top of each other so I get up to go grab my phone to call Jay when I was in my water break so now it's actually trying to call him
J= hey babe did I forget something
E= no you didn't
J=( hears her voice) what's wrong babe
E= well I guess the boys wanted to share your birthday with you because my water broke
J= wait no way
E= yeah I can you come quickly... also bring someone to watch the kids because the nanny is on vacation remember
J= will do babe hang on
E= all right ( hangs up)
( in the bullpen)
AR= what's going on John
J= well Erin is in labor
VR= oh my god that's amazing
HU= congrats jay
J= thanks
AD= well you better
J= yeah but I need someone to come with me to watch them
HV= how come
J= all right
HV= you are in charge Antonio
AD= all right let us know what's going on jay
J= will do guys( they leave )
HV= let's go
Once I hang up a chair I grab my hospital bag that is close by and wait on the couch for them. I just hope the kids don't wake up before they come. About 10 minutes later I hear Jay pulling in the driveway and of course the kids wake up at that same moment
J= hey Erin I am here and so is
E= thank God hey Hank
HV= hey kid how are you
E= could be doing much better
HV= I bet
J= has the kids woken up yet
E= they just woke up right when you guys pulled in
HV= i'll go get them you guys go ahead to hospital I'll handle it here
J= all right
E= thanks hank
HV= it's no problem
We hurry up and leave start driving to med
J= how are you doing babe
E= I'm doing okay I think they are fighting to get out of me
J= well we are almost there
E= I called our doctor while I was waiting on you she said she will be there when we get there
J= all right that's good
E= You didn't tell hanker secret on the way over here right
J= Nope we are still in the clear nobody but Us and our doctor knows we are having twins
E= that's good
J= we are here
E= thank god
J= ( walks inside) hey Maggie
ML= your doctor is waiting in trauma room 4
E= thank you
ML= no problem good luck
J= thanks
ED= ( in the room). Hey guys how are we feeling Erin
E= in so much pain
ED= well let me get you on the bed and I'll check you out
E= all right
J= you are doing amazing babe
ED= ( checks her out) so I got some great news
J= you do what is
ED= well you are 9 1/2 cm which means you can have your babies in about a half an hour
E= wow that's crazy I guess it's too late to ask for an epidural
ED= sadly yes it is i'm going to go get ready and I'll check you in about 15 minutes
J= all right thanks Doctor
ED= is no problem( she leaves)
E= wow can you believe we are getting ready to meet our boys soon
J= I know it's crazy
ED=( 15 minutes later) all right I'm back now how are you feeling
E= uh I Think I feel pressure to push
ED= all right let's take a look again ( she does) well looks like your boys are ready to come meet us all
J= When it's safe for her to do it and actually since she's having twins
ED= it's totally safe
E= that's good
ED= also at her last doctors appointment both babies were head down
J= all right
ED= so whenever your ready Erin go ahead and start pushing
E= all right I'm ready to push
J=you got this babe 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2, and 1 now breathe
ED= Way to go Erin just keep doing that and you'll meet one of your boys here very soon
E= all right
I continue to push for the next half an hour
ED= and here is your son
J= hey buddy
E= oh my god you're so tiny buddy
ED= Way to go I think you can relax for a few before his brother wants to join
E= good I feel like I just ran a Marathon
J= well you did amazing ( kiss her forehead)
E= I think he looks like you
J= you do really
E= oh yeah he got your eyes and your nose
J= I don't see it
E= well you will see it don't worry ( feels the pressure again) all right doctor I feel the pressure to push again
ED= all right nurse take this little man so we can meet his brother
EN= all right Doctor ( she takes him)
I start pushing for the next 20 minutes
ED= One more push and you'll have your son in your arms
E= all right
J= you got this 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2, 1 and breathe
ED= and here is your second son
E= hey buddy I can't believe you're finally here
J= me and mommy waiting so long for you and your brother to come
I snuggle with this baby boy for a few minutes while the doctor clean to me
EN= I think it's time to get this little man weighed
E= all right bye buddy
ED= so baby he was born at 11:04 AM
EN= oh right and his weight is 7 pounds
ED= Great baby B was born at 11:11 AM
EN= okay and he weighed 7 pounds two ounces
J= well they were small
E= good things since there was two of them inside me
EN= Hi here are your sons Mom and dad ( hands them over)
E= hey bud
ED= i'll have them transfer you guys upstairs as soon as there is room . Certificate
J= all right thank you
ED= you're welcome ( she leaves)
E= wow they are finally here
J= I know I can't believe
E= happy birthday to all three of my boys
J= Best birthday present ever ( kiss her)
We just enjoy our little peace and quiet with just her boys. The nurse Bring us upstairs about an hour later and we get settled in for the day with our boys
Authors note: I hope I did good on this chapter also I hope you like the idea of the boys and Jay sharing a birthday. also I know we got a while before I get to that chapter but give me some ideas for halloween costumes for everyone.
