Jays pov: it's been a couple weeks since we got everything together for the boys I felt so much and we all when we had both clips built in the car seat built for two babies, but we can't wait for them. Also a couple weeks ago we got a call from my brother saying him and Natalie had a little boy when we got to meet him we learned that he was named after me which I felt so honored to have someone named after me. Last night Erin give me a pretty great birthday present which was Do you round to scrapple which I loved today its my birthday I wish I could stay home with Erin and the kids but I need to work as much as I can before the boys come. About an hour or two after I got to work I got a phone call from Erin that our boys were on the way, so I watched him and we were headed straight to the hospital and gave birth to her beautiful boys within an A couple of hours. I guess Erin had one more gift to give me which was giving birth to our boys. Rugby now Erin is taking a nap since she just pushed two babies out of her. I have them both in my arms looking outside talking to them
J= hey boys I'm your daddy I guess you guys wanted one more person to share a birthday with. But it's okay i'm fine with that you guys did surprise us when we learned that it was going to be twins but we know you guys will be the best of friends. You have three older siblings a brother and two sisters they can't wait to meet you (starts to cry) oh buddy let's try to let mom sleep she had a rough day today
E= she isn't asleep anymore
J= oh no we woke up mommy
E= no you didn't I've been awake for a while I heard what you guys were talking about
J= Watch out boys mom is already listening in on our talks
E= haha very funny ( baby still cry's) here hand me him
J= all right here you go( hands him over)
E= hey buddy ( stops crying
J= how did you do that
E= I guess just magic
J= I guess so
E= so we have a couple things we need to do now

E= well the first thing is we need to text everyone and say we had
J= oh yeah let me do that ( he does) everyone is on their way
E= all right next thing before they get here is figure out which baby is which name
J= yes we do so do you think any of the boys look like a certain name
E= not really how about you
J= no not really
Well maybe since it's your birthday you can name them
J= all right that works( starts to look at them )
E= you better hurry they will be here soon
J= all right how about this the one I am holding which happens to look like me will be named Jonah William
E= so that means I have Jaxson reed
J= oh yeah so how are we going to finally tell everyone that there was twins this whole time
E= how about since Jonah is pretty content we set him on the other side of that curtain in a bassinet
J= all right that sounds good let's hope he can stay quiet for a while
E= yeah let's hope so
We get Jonah set up and put him behind the curtain then I join Erin in the bed with Jaxson as we wait on everyone to arrive about 10 minutes later
HV= all right where is my grandson
WH= where is my nephew
J= well hello guys
E= first off be quiet the baby is sleeping
HU= Adam's bad
VR= can we see him
J= you can
E= but first we have something to tell you guys
KB= Is there anything wrong with him
J= no nothing is wrong with him at all he is beyond perfect
PH= okay so what is wrong then
E= so we maybe didn't tell you guys the full truth about him
NM= don't tell me you ended up with a girl not a boy
J= oh no he's definitely a boy
AR= i'm so confuse
AD= like always ( everyone laughs)
E= all right we will explain everything
J= just nobody ask questions until we are all done explaining everything
NM= all right
E= so first of all when we found out we were pretty shocked ourselves
J= I wanted to tell you guys right away
E= but I thought it would be fun to keep it a secret for this song
J= and now that it has been kept this long I have to admit it was pretty fun to keep it a secret but I think I won't do it ever again
E= yeah same I don't think we'll ever do that again hey Jay go get it
J= all right
E= so the secret is.. we didn't just have one baby boy
J=( push over the bassinet) we had two baby boys
KA= wait no way twins
VR= that's so amazing
HU= how did we not know
WH= how did I not figure this out I'm a doctor
J= well brother I guess you're not that really good of a doctor then
E= and besides we also made sure you and Natalie were locked out of our patient chart to make sure you couldn't find out the secret until now
NM= wow how rude ( everyone laughs)
J= so I hope you guys aren't totally mad with us about this
HV= of course not now we get to live on two little boys now
VR= oh yeah and now the girls are out numbered at your place now
E= that is so very true
PH= so what are my grandsons names are
J= well the one that was born first was Jonah William Halstead at 11:04 AM Wayne 7 pounds even
WH= went William after ...
E= yes Will Jonah is named after you
NM= did you guys know the boys names when we told you about Little Maverick name
J= Yes we did we came up with their names on her baby moon at the cabin
WH= wow that place is magical
E= oh yeah that's what I said but anyways Jonah sputter was born at 11:14 AM weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. his name is Jaxson reed halstead
VR= I love that name
HU= such good name guys

HU= it's no problem
HV= can I hold one of my grandsons already or what

J=all right then dad do you get Jonah
E= and hank you can have Jaxson ( hands the baby over
as my dad and hank had both of the boys we tell everyone how the labor went than everyone takes turns holding the boys
EH= wait I just remembered something Jay isn't your birthday today
J= yes it is will
PH= happy birthday Jay
NM= wait that means that they were born on your birthday
KA= that's awesome
AR= thanking about it now Erin you did seem a lot bigger this time around than when you were pregnant with both of the girls so it makes total sense that they were two babies in there
HU= ( slaps him) I don't that isn't nice to say
AD= never comment about a woman's weight
HV= hope you don't say anything like that to Haley ever
HU= he doesn't but if he did
AR= I would be dead you would probably find me in the bottom of the lake if I did make a comment about her weight at any point
KA= oh yes you would
Everyone stays for about an hour more than everyone leaves to head back to work while me erin and the boys just enjoy our time together wind up taking a nap for about two hours
ED= ( knocking) hey guys
E= hey doctor
ED= so how are we doing in here
J= we are doing great
ED= that's good to hear so I think I seen your family in here earlier
E= yes you did
ED= so I'm guessing you finally told them the news about the twins
J= yes we do
ED= so how did it go
E= they were happy but they were a little bit shocked about the twin secret
ED= totally makes sense so I'm just going to check you over real fast
E= all right
ED= ( she does) so you look great
J= yes she does
E= ( slaps him and laughs ) don't listen to him
ED= I think I'll let you go home later on tonight
J= wait really what about the boys
ED= to me they look way I'll have a baby doctor come in here and look at them themselves and if she agrees with what I said you guys can go home later on tonight
E= really that's amazing
ED= oh yeah I'll go get your discharge papers started so you can go home soon
J= all right doctor
ED= see you later ( she leaves)
E= wow that's amazing
J= oh yeah I guess
E= so since the boys are still asleep why don't I go jump in the shower real fast
J= all right that sounds good too bad I can't join you in the shower already
E= don't worry it will be very soon Jay that you can join me
While Erin Text Her shower I just lay on the bed while the boys are sleeping in the bassinets about five minutes later both boys started to cry loudly
J= oh come on boys mom is taking a shower she doesn't need to be bothered yet
E= it's no problem I'm done with my shower besides what's going on
J= I don't know they both just started to cry for no reason
E= well maybe they missed their mommy come here Jaxson ( grabs him) it's okay
J= ( one minute later) well they both are calm now
E= oh yeah
VR= ( knocking) hey guys
J= what are you guys doing back here
KA= how we were Interviewing a victim here at Med and we thought we stop by and see you guys again
VR= I hope that's okay
E= of course it is Vanessa
J= we love to see you guys again
KA= I still can't believe you kept having twins a secret from us
E= well it was kind of fun to have a secret for once
VR= May I hold one of the boys

VR= wow it's been a while since I held a baby in my arms
KA= well he looks very good in your arms babe
VR= why thank you babe same goes for you hey Jaxson can I tell you a little secret minus your brother and cousin I think you'll be having another little playmate in a few months
J= wait what
E= Vanessa are you saying you're having another baby
VR= yes I am
E= oh my god congrats
J= congrats Kevin
KA= thanks Jay ( hugs him)
E= so how far along are you Vanessa you still look pretty small
VR= this may shock you but I am 19 weeks along almost halfway through it
E= no way that's crazy
KA= The baby is just laying mostly in her back, Also the doctor said to placenta is in front of the baby
J= wow that's cool
E= are you going to do a gender reveal this time around
KA= well what if we told you that we already know what we are having
J= you guys know
VR= yes we do
E= oh my God please tell me unless you don't want to tell people yet
KA= no we do want to tell people but not wait a second until she's 20 weeks
J= makes sense
E= mind if you tell us what you guys are having we can keep a secret pretty well
KA= oh we know so we will tell you
VR= so Erin and jay how would your boys love to have another boy to play with in a few months
J= wait it's a boy
KA= yes we are having a boy just like you guys
E= that's so exciting ( hugs her)
We hang out with Vanessa and Kevin for about an hour and a half before they need to head back to the district. We get our room picked up and get the boys but then we get them changed and they're coming home outfits, now we just lay around and wait until we are discharged. About two hours later ( knocking)
J= come in
ML= so I guess the rumors are true you guys had twin boys and you kept it a secret this whole time
E= yes it was true Maggie
ML= that's crazy ( see them) wow they are so cute guys
J= thanks Maggie
ML= you're welcome so that was one reason I came up here so the reason was to hand you the discharge paper since you and the boys can go home now
E= wow that's amazing news thanks Maggie
MG= it's no problem
J= I guess I'll go get it
E= all right
ML= i'll help her get these boys ready and down to the car
J= all right thanks Maggie
E= hey babe
J= yeah babe
E= don't get used to driving all the time
J= I wouldn't dare do that
ML= got to teach them who's boss
E= oh yeah now boys remember mommy always will be the boss in this family no matter what
As I go and grab the car Maggie helps Erin get the boys into the car seat and down stairs into the car when I pull it up. once Erin and The boys are loaded in the car we head home we arrive within 20 minutes
J= and we are home
E= thank god today was a very long day
J= Let's grab these boys and head inside and see our other kids
E= great idea
We take the boys into our arms and head inside and see that Hank is cleaning up
HV= hey guys I didn't think you would be home this soon
E= well the doctor said me and the boys were doing great so we got to be discharged today
HV= that's good to know
J= so how were the kids
HV= they were good I got them fed and they are asleep they been asleep for about 20 minutes
E= oh my God thank you Hank
HV= it's no problem I'll get out of here I'll see you guys soon take care of the two new grandson l I have
E= oh we will
HV= also Jay don't worry about coming back to work anytime soon take as much time as you need my birthday present to you
J= why thank you Hank
HV= it's no problem ( he leaves)
Once Hank leaves we get the boys settled in for the night and just think about what's the come with five kids in the future
Authors note : I forgot to mention this on the last chapter but Hank never went into the twins nursery because there was no use for him to be in there when he came to watch the kids while Erin and jay why not to the hospital to have the boys that's why he doesn't find out until now that they had twins. I hope you like this chapter of how everyone found out that it was twins.
