Jay's POV it's been about a month since we learned that our nanny was moving away which sucks but we understood why and luckily for us we didn't have to look far for no nanny because mouse suggested his girlfriend Taylor who is Also a nanny and the kids love her. She has been with us for a couple weeks now and it's been great. The kids are doing great the twins turn seven months old the other day right now me Kevin, Erin Announcer in the pool open on everyone else is talking to their CI ( mouse starts laughing )

E= what's so funny mouse I sure hope it's nothing to do with the case that we're working on
GM= oh no it's something Taylor sent me
J= what did she send you
GM= A picture of ember in the boys crawling all over her
E= oh man let me know ( looks ) how cute
J= The kids really love her
GM= and she loves them like her own
KA= you got a good woman Mouse you need to put a ring on her soon

GM= actually guys you might be on to me about that
J= wait now so you going to ask Taylor to marry you

E= when did you decide this
GM= about a week ago whenever I came to pick Taylor up your kids didn't want her to leave and it made me think about how Taylor would be the most amazing mother ever in our kids would love her to death it made me love her even more than I already did

KA= that is the same reason why I realized I wanted to marry Vanessa so many years ago

J= I say our kids are the true matchmakers of Chicago
E= oh yeah we need to set up a service and get paid for their matchmaking services

GM= So the reason I bought it up is Jay can I ask you a favor

GM= would you mind helping me plan how I'm going to propose since you did such a good job with your proposal to Erin
E= it was the most wonderful proposal if I ever do say so myself but I could be biased
KA= it sounded pretty romantic when you guys told us about it
E= it was so romantic
J= okay i'll i'll help plan something to make it a great proposal mound
GM= why thank you Jay
E= maybe since the kids love her so much and she loves them why not have them be included into the proposal
GM= that's a good idea
J= all right I'll figure something out also do I have a timeline to get it figured out
GM= i'm going to do it at Thanksgiving

KA= well a while back my brother Jordan and his fiancé at the time were getting married but they couldn't find anyone to marry them so I got online and found a place where I could be an ordained minister it only took 30 minutes and The wedding turned out great it felt special because I got to marry my brother off
J= well that's pretty's cool
E= that's why you are the best big brother ever
GM= couldn't agree more
E= I hope Porter can be amazing big brother like you are when he is older

We continue doing our stuff over the next few days we get the case salt while I also come up with a plan to help mouse ask his girlfriend Taylor to marry him, which I come up with a pretty good idea. We decided that we are hosting Thanksgiving this year we invited the whole unit plus my family over so we have a lot of people to cook for right now it's the morning of Thanksgiving and we are laying in bed

E= do we have to get up yet
J= yes we do babe
E= oh man give me five minutes
J= I could but we have a lot to get done before the guests start showing up
E= I know but please remind me again why we decided to host Thanksgiving at our house we have five kids what were we thinking
J= well it's because we have five kids it's easier for everyone else to come to us than it is for us to pack up the kids and go to their house
E= all right that makes sense
J= also we got to help get two people engaged today so we better get moving
E= I guess you're right let's...
J= Wait say that again
E= nope not going to happen but let's start making this food before the kids wake up
J= all right babe

We get up and start getting the food prepped in in the oven within two hours the food is in the oven and the kids wake up so we play with them for a while then we get to rest the food buddy and the area where mouse is going to propose ready also

PJ= hey daddy
E= yes buddy
PJ= when is the food going to be done
E= it should be ready here very soon
PJ= all right mommy i'm just hungry
J= how about you have a little bit of a goldfish to snack on to hold you over until dinner time
E= yeah that could work
PJ= OK that works

All the kids have a little bowl of goldfish while we finish cooking the food about two hours later the food was almost done so we all get dressed and wait for the guest to suck showing up ( knocking)

E= I guess let's get this thing started since the guest are here ( opens door) hey Hank
HV= hey Erin I hope I'm not late
E= of course not you're on time
J= hey Hank you're actually the first person to be here
HV= well that's cool works out so I can spend time with my grandkids without anyone
E= well good thing you showed up early
CN= grandpa Hank ( runs to him)

J= I think they are started that their grandpa Hank is here
E= oh yeah
HV= well I bought Camille's famous green bean casserole over with me it's over there ( points)
J= i'll go put it on the stove so we could heat it up in a little bit
E= all right
HV= I actually came by early for a reason

HV= well I had an unexpected as well show up last night to my house

J= oh really
E= well I haven't seen her since we just had Camryn

HV= yes she is which brings me to the reason I brought it up is because she would love to come see you but since it's Thanksgiving she didn't want to intrude on a family thing

HV= that is what I told her and since I figured you would say that she is outside waning for me to come get her
E= are you kidding me go get her and bring her inside I want to give her a hug so bad

J= I guess I'm glad we decided to cook a lot of food this year

We have Danny meat all his cousins and then after they all meet they all went off to play while we catch up with olive and also get to know her husband' Zach. About 30 minutes later all the other guest are showing up about three hours later we all get done eating Thanksgiving and now I just sitting around chatting away

GM= ( whisper) is everything set up
J= oh yes it is just tell me when you're ready to do it
GM= how about give me about five minutes and then I'll be ready
J= I can do that ( whispers to Erin ) hey you might want to get the kids ready for the proposal mouse is almost ready
E= all right hey kids can you come with me really fast

While Erin get the kids set up and mask it himself ready I make sure Taylor doesn't notice anything going on but then once they were all set up I got a text letting me know that they were ready for her

J= hey Taylor
TJ= yeah what's up jay
J= well I got something to show you so can you follow me
TJ= sure can ( she follows him ) so what's going on
J= well this note will explain everything and have fun ( hands over an envelope with a note inside)
TJ= all right ( Open The envelope and starts reading the note) hey babe you're probably wondering what's going on oh don't worry you will find out very soon all you had to do is follow the rose puddles to the end you might find some surprise guest along the way. Hey by the way I love you ( she starts following the rose petals) ember what are you doing here
EG= I was told to hand you this ( hands over A Rose and a note)
TJ= why thank you ( hugs her and opens note) you are one step closer to figuring out what's going on ( keeps walking) carmyn you next.
CN= yes I am here you go Miss Taylor
TJ= oh how sweet ( hugs her and opens the note ) promise you were halfway here ( see Porter) Porter let me guess your next
PJ= oh yes I am here read this ( she does)
TJ= this is your last spot babe can you close your eyes the kids will bring you where you need to be
CN= are you ready miss Taylor
TJ= yes I am ( closest her eyes and the kids bring her to the spot she needs to be in)
E= oh my Taylor are you ready to open your eyes
TJ= well hello Erin didn't think you were here and yes I am
E= all right on a count of three 3...2...1 Open your eyes
TJ= ( she opens her eyes) wow this is so pretty down here so what's going on
GM= ( appears) well babe what's happening is I'm getting ready to ask you a question with the help of my favorite little people
TJ= okay what is the question
GM= Go ahead kids turn around
TJ= will you ... Please marry our ... uncle so that you can be our aunt forever
GM= Taylor Alice Jones will you make me the happiest man alive in Mary me ( gets down in one knees and shows the ring)
TJ= oh my God mouse of course I'm married you babe 100o0 times yes. ( kiss him )

And we won cheers for them and congratulates them we spend the next hour or two celebrating them and having a new family member. Everyone leaves about two hours later the kids end up playing for a little bit longer than they all go to bed pretty easy that night. It takes us about two hours to get everything cleaned up and put away we decide to watch a movie to relax but halfway through the movie Erin Falls asleep so once the movie was finished I pick her up and carry her to bed" into bed next to her info asleep within 30 minutes

Erin's pov: it's been a pretty quick couple months lately the boys are doing amazing they're so close to calling the older three are growing and getting smart each and every day about 2 1/2 months ago Vanessa and Kevin had a little boy Korbin he is so perfect. Also about two months ago mouse came back in town and told us he got his job back at the district so we can work together again and then a little over a month ago we met his girlfriend and we absolutely loved her enough that we made her our nanny. Since our nanny had to move out of town. The kids love her, then Ma decided on Thanksgiving that he was going to ask Taylor to marry him and of course she said yes with the little help from our kids: also on Thanksgiving we had an unexpected visitor which was olive she bought her husband she married about three years ago and her little girl that she had her name was Annalise she is so perfect,, A little Daniel has gone up so much since I seen him last which is nice. Right now it's a couple days before Christmas everyone is out chasing down late while I finish at my paperwork and get ready to head home early today

P= hey Erin where are you go
E= well I decided to call it a day so I'm going to head home to be with the kids
P= oh I see well Have a great rest of your day then also give your kids a hug from their aunt Trudy
E= will do platt ( starts to walk away) wait a second can I ask you a question real fast
P= you sure can what's up
E= so over the last week I've been trying to figure out what to get Jay for Christmas he is a hard man to shop for
P= I bet he is but I bet if you ask him he will say he has everything he ever needs if you and the kids
E= oh yeah he is super sweet like that
P= but what can I help you with
E= so the only thing Jay has ever asked for is he was like a dog
P= wait really chuckles is really crazy to want a dog on top of having five kids
E= well this idea came when we only had Camryn I told him he was crazy back then
P= he sure is
E= but I've been thinking about it how amazing he's been and I wanted to get him something special so how do you cited on getting him a dog for Christmas
P= well that's nice
E= I try to be so my question is do you know anyone who is selling a puppy or getting rid of a puppy
P= not off the top of my head but how about I ask around and see what I can find out i'll let you know as soon as I do

I head home and just hang out with the kids for a while about two hours later my phone rings

E= hey Sarge what's up
P= well I found someone who has a litter of puppies are you free tomorrow at sometime maybe around lunchtime to look at the puppies
E= I sure am platt
P= that's great so I'll see you tomorrow at lunchtime
E= see you tomorrow platt ( hangs up) are you boys ready to have a puppy ( claps and the boys mimic her by clapping ) are you kidding me you can clap now that's cool
J= ( opens the door ) hey babe I'm home and I bought somebody with me
HV= hey Erin hope you don't mind I wanted to come to dinner and see my grandkids
E= hey Hank I don't mind at all
J= ( kiss her ) So how are they
E= they are good the three order kids are playing in the rooms right now
J= well I brought home some pizza for dinner so you might want to call them out for dinner
E= all right ( yells) hey kids daddy's hole and he bought someone with him come see who so we can start eating dinner
( hears them running )
EG= daddy's hom
PJ= daddy and grandpa Hank are here
CN= yes I'm so happy
HV= there is my favorite grandkids for you guys ready dinner
EG= yes I am grandpa

We all sit down and eat a pizza together about the little ones catch Jay and hank up on that day about 30 minutes later we all were done eating supporter and the girls go off and play in their room

HV= looks like the boys enjoyed their pizza
J= oh yeah may be a little too much
E= that's for sure maybe they need a bath a little early tonight
J= couldn't agree more I'll give them a bath while you hang out with Hank
E= are you sure I can come give you a hand
J= i'm sure besides when's the last time you guys had a moment alone together
HV= he makes a very good point
E= oh yes he does well have fun with our crazy boys babe

HV= got to love this stage of having babies they get fast all the time anymore especially with twins I bet you your water bill is double if not more than your normal bill Before you had them
E= oh that is for sure it has definitely gone up a lot since we are alone for a moment can I ask you for a favor

E= so this might sound crazy but I want to get Jay a puppy for Christmas
HV= oh yeah that sounds crazy five kids and a dog
E= platt said the same thing as you or anyways tomorrow I'm going to go look at a little puppies and hopefully pick one out so just wondering if you could come with me and pick one out for him

E= that's great to hear let's hope we find a really good puppy tomorrow

We catch up for a few more minutes

J= and we now have two very clean and smelling good boys
E= well that's good ( takes jaxon) did you guys have fun in the bath with daddy
J= they had so much fun they were splashing each other the whole time
E= i'm surprised they didn't get you wet
J= I stayed out of the splash zone
HV= that's good so since Christmas is coming up in a few days and since I gave The unit a few days off do you guys have anything planned for Christmas this year
E= well the past couple years we kind of made it a tradition to go up to Jay's grandfather's cabin for Christmas
J= especially with my brother and now my dad since we are on good terms
E= so we will be heading there maybe tomorrow afternoon
HV= that's good to hear I guess I better head out so you guys can start packing for tomorrow
J= all right Hank see you later
E= wait Hank how about you come up to the cabin with us so you can spend Christmas with your grandkids for once
J= oh yeah the kids would love to have both grandpa's at Christmas with them

Hank ends up leaving within five minutes once he leaves we clean up from supper and put all the kids to bed we end up just watching a movie and heading off to bed the next morning we just hang out with the kids for a while when the boys go down for the nap I decide to make a rescue to head to the store to grab the last few things we need for the trip so I can go look at the puppies with hank. I arrive at the location within 30 minutes right as I'm pulling in Hank pulls in too

HV= I guess I made perfect time
E= oh yes ( see platt) hey Platt hope you don't mind that I bought Hank along with me
P= of course not hey Hank
HV= hey Trudy how are you
P= i'm good so Erin this is Maddie she has about four puppies left for you to choose from

MJ= same here so I heard you wanted to get a puppy for your husband for Christmas
E= yes I do he has wanted one forever I thought maybe it was time to finally give him another present that he deserved
MJ= well you are a good way to do that
HV= she's a very good wife she gave him five kids already anyways
MJ= well five kids are you crazy to even think about adding a puppy into the mix
P= that's what I told her
E= I know I'm crazy but I think it will be fun to have the kids go up with a dog
HV= I think it would be fun
MJ= couldn't agree more
E= I think so what do we have here
MJ= I have two females and two males left so choose whatever one you want
E= all right thanks

I get down on the ground and start playing with all the puppies for a few and then I think I found the one that I want

P= have you found the right puppy Erin
E= I think I have I'll take this sweetheart
MJ= Great choice my kids love her the most
E= so how much do I owe you
MJ= you owe me nothing you can have her for free of charge
E= no way let me give you some money
MJ= none sense this is a favor for Platt that I needed to pay back for a while I'm just happy you found a puppy that can grow with your family

MJ= it's no problem enjoy your new puppy

We all want to my car with the puppy in my hands

P= So now I'm wondering how are you going to keep this dog secrets from Jay
E= I actually didn't even think about that till just now
HV= how about this I take her with me and I bring her to my house for the night and then I will bring her with me when head up to the cabin in the morning how does that sound
E= that works for me ( hands the puppy over) I will go straight to target to grab all the stuff we need for puppy and drop it off at your house in about an hour and a half
HV= all right see you
E= okay and thanks again platt
P= it's no problem have a great Christmas

We all leave and go our separate ways I go to target to grab all the puppy stuff that we need plus grab some things that we actually need for the trip I drop all the stuff off for the puppy with Hank and head home to help Jay pack our bags for the cabin. Later on after dinner we clean up and start heading to the cabin so the kids can sleep the whole time when we get there within 2 1/2 hours we unload all the sleep he gets first and bring them inside and then our bags once everyone was put to bed. And then put away anything that needs to be put in the kitchen area and then me and Jay head off to bed ourselves the next morning

E= why do you always like to watch me sleep
J= because you are so beyond beautiful when you sleep and I love to watch you sleep
E= of course you do creep so has either of our five kids woken up yet or has anyone texted and said that they are on their way
J= well for one no one has texted yet about arriving anytime soon
E= that's good
J= and our crazy kids are still sound asleep they must've been tired
E= I bet so since we have a little bit of time why don't we play a round or two of our favorite game
J= oh I like the way you think babe
E= figured so

We go into a couple rounds of Scrabble after about an hour we just lay in each others arms enjoying our alone time

J= Man I wish we could stay here forever
E= tell me about it I love it here so much
J= figured you would
E= ( phone alerts) well looks like everyone will be here in about two hours I guess we better get up soon
J= yes we should but actually I have something to give you
E= you do Jay is it a Christmas gift because if it is I can wait until tomorrow
J= yes it is but I think at this present I want to give it to you will make sense once you open it why I want to have you open it now without anybody else here
E= all right
J= ( gets up abs grabs it) Merry Christmas babe
E= why thank you babe ( opens it) um scrabble tiles I'm kind of confused
J= so yes they are scrapble tiles but they spell out each of our kids names and can make into a crossword puzzle where you can hang it up on our wall as a decorative piece I just thought it fit us as a couple so well and it will remind us about the amazing kids that we made
E= J Alexander this is beyond perfect now it makes sense why you gave it in private because nobody gets what it means when we say let's play scrabble
J= no they don't it's kind of our like secret coat
E= oh yeah and I love that
J= same here ( hears kids ) well I guess it's time to really get up
E= oh yeah let's go get them and get some food in their bellies
J= good idea let's go
We get up and go grab the kids and head down stairs to the kitchen so Jay can start making everyone some pancakes and eggs. We eat and hang out until everyone else shows up about an hour later cars start pulling into the driveway

CN= Charlotte and grandpa Pat
J= I think they are excited to see everyone
E= oh yeah ( opens the door) hey guys how was the drive down here
NM= not too bad
WH= well the kids were a lot better this time than last time
J= I bet they were

E= hey hey how was the drive for you
HV= not too bad even with the distraction that I had
E= that's good to hear

E= here in a few minutes when I get Jay to not pay attention to the front door

We get back to everyone within 30 minutes Jay was doing something with the kids so Hank had a chance to sneak outside grab the puppy and bring him inside to his room without Jay notice anything, The rest of Christmas Eve we spent just hanging out with Jay's family and watching movies together. We all head to bed pretty early and get ready for the next day that's going to be really long

J= sorry my wife is hot

We go and get the twins luckily for us will not got well woken up by their own kids and hank and Pat woken up just because They wanted to so once we got out to the living room all the presents were open within a half an hour

NM= they wouldn't know it but it took us about two hours to wrap all this presents
WH= oh yeah but what matters is their smiles on their faces now
PH= that is for sure
HV= ( whisper) do you want me to go get the special presents yet
E= yeah I think it's time

J= oh my kids and will let's close our eyes it will only be for a few seconds

WH= I think you guys are crazy to add a puppy to your already crazy crew of having five kids
E= why does everyone keep saying that having a dog isn't that bad
NM= no it isn't also it be nice to have the kids grow up with a dog
E= why thank you Natalie at least somebody gets it
J= I can't believe you got me a puppy
E= well it's more for everyone
PH= he is one lucky guy
E= he is pretty lucky most of the time
J= you are the best ( kiss her and picks up the puppy)

J= so when did you get the puppy
E= I got the puppy a couple days ago
PJ= mommy is it a boy or a girl puppy
E= Well Porter I got a girl puppy
WH= of course another girl in your house
J= wait where did you hide her at the last few days because I know for sure I would have noticed a puppy being in our house
E= well I didn't hide her at our house because I wanted to keep her a secret
PH= which makes sense because Jay would find out on accident
J= oh yeah I would
E= well I wasn't sure where I was going to put her but since he came with me to find the dog
HV= I volunteer to take her since I had an empty house and a big yard for her to run in
J= well I'm very impressed such as this little girl puppy have a name
E= no she doesn't so it's all up to you to name him
J= well kids do you have a name you would like to suggest
EG= how about cookie
CN= how about Elsa
OM= what about Oreo
CE= what about princess
PJ= what about the name winter
E= Those are some great things kids how about daddy or uncle Jay either can choose from a name you guys should suggest or just pick one for himself
CN= sounds good Mom
J= so you kids had some great names but there's one I think that fits her well
OM= oh really what is her name uncle Jay
J= well her name is Drum roll please ( drum roll noise) winter the puppy
PJ= wait I suggested that mean you picked my name
J= yes I did good job picking it buddy
E= I love that name Way to go buddy
PJ= thank you
CN= can we play with her now
E= yes you guys can

The kids go play with the dog for a while later on we all sit down to eat our Christmas dinner.
The rest of the day all the kids play with their new toys and the puppy while we all listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies together. With all their plane they did they all went to bed pretty early. So all the adults headed to bed too we brought winter into our room for the night

J= I still can't Believe you got me a puppy for Christmas you are the best
E= well you're welcome I thought maybe it was the right time to finally get a puppy
J= I think it was I hope the kids will love going up with a puppy
E= let's hope so
J= now it's time for me to thank you in the most fun way ever
E= what about winter over there
J= hey winter close your eyes are good asleep because something's going to happen then I don't want you to see

Jay and me play scrabble to thank each other for our Christmas presents that we got. We then fall asleep about two hours later the rest of the trip we hang out and get to know the new puppy Wind up staying until a couple days after the new year it was yet another great trip up to the cabin we can't wait to come back
