"With those two in charge, I'm surprised the world hasn't gone to hell in a handbasket," Kobe Takeshi grumbled as he sat at the correspondent's dinner. He ran a news program called The Eyes of Crystal Tokyo which was known for being highly critical of the royal couple. His gaze was fixed on King Endymion and Neo-Queen Serenity who was sitting at the head table in the room so they could look out at the assembled party. "They can't stand to be next to one another."
"What makes you say that?" Kobe Miki, Takeshi's wife asked. She was the founder of a local charity and had worked with the Queen on multiple occasions. She was always quick to question her husband's harsh criticisms.
"Look at their body language. They can't stand being so close together," Takeshi insisted as he stared at the King and Queen. "Just watch. The Queen constantly drums her fingers on the table and the King taps his foot. They really want to be anywhere else than having to be in the same room with each other."
Despite being an investigative reporter, Takeshi was completely wrong in his assumption. The King and Queen had learned a form of morse code a long time ago as a means to communicate with each other while maintaining a demeanor of professionalism. They used it during state affairs when they wanted to express how they really felt about each other.
"I want to sit on your face," Neo-Queen Serenity tapped out without looking at her husband.
"That sounds like a better dessert than these dry cream puffs," The King replied with a tap of his foot.
"I do prefer your cream pies anyways," The Queen insisted without saying a word.
"Keep being so naughty," The King commented with his foot. "...and I'll have to give you a spanking."
"Promise?" The Queen wondered as she drummed her fingers yet was able to take a bite of the cream puff on her plate.
"I give them a year," Takeshi announced with restrained glee. The idea of covering the spectacle around such an event was nearly too entertaining to contain. He knew the subject would attract an incredible amount of attention and buzz. "Especially since the Queen had a meeting with Representative Kou from Kinmoku."
"You think she's having an affair?" Miki wondered, doing her best to contain her annoyance. She was usually willing to hear her husband's theories but an accusation of an affair was more than she was willing to stomach.
"Why else would she keep meeting with them?" Takeshi proposed. "She could have just sent one of her Senshi but she insists on meeting with Respenitive Kou personally. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a sex tape."
"Seiya sends their regards," The Queen tapped out.
"I bet they did," The King replied, his body tensing up a bit at the idea of his wife meeting with the representative. "How many times did you catch them looking at your cleavage?"
"Five," The Queen sighed as signaled her husband. "Even used "The eyes up here" line."
King Endymion released a low growl of disgust. "Why do you keep meeting them instead of sending one of the other girls?"
"I love the possessive, jealous, and passionate fuck you give me afterward," The Queen admitted, her legs rubbing together as she remembered being pulled into a spare bedroom after her last meeting with Seiya and orgasming twice in a short thanks to her husband. "Makes me want to have another meeting with them as soon as possible."
"I do love to remind you who you belong to," Mamoru explained, feeling himself grow aroused at the idea of again physically showing his wife how much he needed her. "To make sure you know how much I love you Usako."
The tiniest giggle escaped Usagi's lips. "I never question how much you love me, Mamo-chan."
"What about all those sightings of the couple being seen in public in compromising situations?" Miki asked, remembering all the different articles about individuals looking like the King and Queen being caught in various states of undress.
"Please," Takashi scoffed. "Just cosplayers from their cult-like fan club trying to cover up the fact the King and Queen are in a loveless marriage. They know the public spectacle of divorce would be a logistical nightmare. That denial will eventually dissolve by the fact on some level they are still both human and have needs. I bet my bottom dollar they haven't had sex with each other in a decade. That will only fuel the need to find comfort elsewhere."
"I need you!" The Queen admitted, not caring that the dinner was still scheduled to go for another hour. "I need you inside of me right now!"
The King smirked at his wife's request. "I already bribed Jiro to look the other way so we can sneak into the coat closet."
"He must love us," Usagi tapped back, feeling her body become warm at the thought of everything she and her husband had experienced in the coat closet.
Mamoru chuckled to himself. "We are putting him through college. Let's leave quietly."
"I'll go first," Usagi suggested as she took another bite of the sub-par desert. "I want you to eat my ass before you give me an anal creampie."
"You filthy slut," Mamoru replied as he took a big drink of water. He knew he'd need to be properly hydrated for what was coming next. "Gladly! I love you."
"Love you too," The Queen used the napkin on her lap to wipe her mouth before rising and exiting in the direction of the coat closet. The King followed a moment later, heading in the opposite direction and taking a longer way to their rendezvous so others wouldn't be suspicious.
"What did I tell you?" Takashi chuckled as he noticed the King and Queen leaving the dining hall. "Can't even stand to leave together."
Unaware of how the Queen and King really felt about each, Takashi was confident he was on the verge of covering the fallout from the royal divorce and receiving the boost in popularity he had hoped for since the coverage of the Black Moon's Invasion. He picked up the champagne flute in front of him and raised it to give himself a small toast. "Love live the king and queen."
O.O.O
This little story came to me and I just needed to get it onto paper. I decided to add it to the Royal Affairs so as not to create a new series and additionally decided to add any other stories I have for the royal couple of Crystal Tokyo. Consider this a little bit to tide people over until I get more of my other work done.
Also, coming soon: A new series on Kindle Vella: The Devil King's Bride.
Reviews are love and thanks to my crew for Beta-ing.
