"I know where to find Zoisite." Jadeite felt an enormous relief at being able to sense his longtime friend and fellow general. "He's not all that far away, either. He's in the same town as we are."

"Believe it or not, locating him is the easy part." Hatsu could attest to that with the fact that she'd spent nearly a year trying to convince Jadeite that he not only had been a general in his former life, but she needed his help in defending their prince in this life as well. "If he is half as stubborn as you were then we could be in a lot of trouble."

"Is it my fault that you waited so long to just go ahead and reveal your magic? It would have saved a lot of time." Jadeite chuckled as he was given a dirty look. "What? It's true."

"I tell you what, then. Since you believe it's so easy to tell someone about being a reincarnated general from the past with a current mission, I think you should go and talk to Zoisite and the others on your own."

"Alright. I can't wait to see him again. He'll be a member of our little team here by this time tomorrow."

"We'll see if you're still that confident after you've actually gone to see Zoisite." Hatsu shook her head at the brashness of the young general. "But just in case, I'll work on creating a talisman for him. It looks like I was right about them helping you and the other men with focusing your powers."

Ami closed her computer after setting up the new alarm system and turned toward the other girls. "That should do it. I've set up the parameters to alert us anytime anyone or anything with higher-than-normal energy levels come within a mile of the temple."

"Good, I don't like the idea of one of those creeps skulking around the temple grounds again." Rei involuntarily shuddered as she added, "I'd still like to know what she was doing in the fire room."

"Rei, are you sure that she was an enemy? You did say that you thought that you saw Jadeite with her," Lita asked, "Right? Maybe the generals were here from the Shadow Scouts' dimension, again."

"I don't think so. If one of them had come here, wouldn't they have said something to us? Plus, if she wasn't an enemy, why did she run away?"

"Well, you did say that you attacked her," Lita pointed out.

"That's beside the point. She was here and she had this creepy looking dagger floating in mid-air. That was all I needed to see to add to the mega-weird vibes I was getting off of her saying that she wasn't from this time to know that she's evil."

"Well, I guess now the question isn't just who she was but why was she here," Mina declared from her place at the low table before adding, "And who's going to tell Darien?"

"I guess he should be told about what happened. After all, he has been getting the feeling that we were about to be attacked. This proves that he was right." Ami looked to her friends hoping that one of them would volunteer to tell their longtime friend and ally.

"We should all be prepared for when we see these strangers again."

Luna's tail twitched as she became anxious at the thought of the Scouts facing a new enemy again already. It would be the first one since Serena's powers were stripped late last year. After using her powers in error for evil when she was tricked by the Shadow Scouts, her silver crystal was sent to her future self as punishment. Luna was concerned now that the other Scouts no longer had the option to call on Sailor Moon to help defeat their enemies.

"I'll alert Darien to the latest development. Meanwhile, everyone keep your eyes open."

"Right, Luna." Ami felt relieved that the feline volunteered to go see Darien. Still, he wasn't the only one who needed to know about the potential of having an enemy on the prowl again. Though perhaps that could wait for just a bit longer.

Jadeite stood outside of the small school and waited until the man that he had sensed the day before to leave for the day. As darkness fell on the school, Jadeite finally caught sight of the man whom he instantly knew was Zoisite. Grinning, he slowly began to approach the man only to have his smile falter as he asked himself just how he planned to begin a conversation that would change the other man's life forever.

So maybe he hadn't given Hatsu as much credit as she was due after all. As Zoisite headed off away from the school, Jadeite fell into step with the other man while giving himself a mental pep talk. He followed the other general for about three blocks when he turned down into an alleyway, causing Jadeite to push himself to come up with a way to approach his old friend.

"Come on, Jed. It can't be that hard. I'll just tell him that I need to talk to him for a few minutes and then-" As Jadeite turned down the alleyway to follow Zoisite, he was met by an unexpected tackle that sent him into the brick wall of the building that lined the alley.

"Why are you following me?"

Jadeite hadn't expected his friend to ambush him while following him into the alleyway. He quickly reacted and began to wrestle with Zoisite; all the while realizing that he no longer had the same strength he'd had built up from years of training and fighting now that he had his new body that had sat behind a desk at the shelter for the last couple of years. He remembered the two of them being much more equally matched than he was beginning to suspect they were now. Jadeite ducked away from the other blond and held one hand up as a way to call the other man off.

"Hold on. I'm not here to fight with you. I need to talk to you."

"Who are you?" Zoisite asked as he maintained an aggressive position.

"That's a bit complicated," Jadeite said as he caught his breath from the unexpected workout. "For right now, you can just call me Jed."

"Alright, Jed." Zoisite emphasized the stranger's name as he then asked, "What do you want to talk to me about?"

Jed decided that the best approach would probably be the most direct one. After all, it was only after Hatsu finally broke down and shared her magic with him that he had come around. "Look, I know that this will sound crazy, but I'd like to talk to you about... Well, your past life."

Jadeite watched as his fellow general gave him a quizzical look before finally chuckling at the absurdity of the idea. "Past life? Is this some sort of joke?"

"Actually, it's not and I can prove it." Jadeite took a deep breath as he hoped that he was doing the right thing. He then concentrated and vanished from in front of the other general and reappeared just behind him.

"What the hel-"

"Listen, I know that this will be hard for you to understand but-"

"Oh, I understand, alright. You're a freak!" Jadeite reached out a hand to put it on the other man's shoulder only to have it batted away roughly. "Don't touch me! I don't care who you are or what you want. Just stay away from me!"

Zoisite then backed away quickly and took off at full speed down the alleyway as he headed home. Jadeite knew from experience that the other man would need a few hours to process what he'd seen to make him more receptive for what he still needed to learn so he remained in place and let the man leave. He would find him again tomorrow. Then he would be able to fill the man in on their mission and how important it was.

Hatsu couldn't sleep so she decided to use the peacefulness of the night to infuse three new talismans with her magic. Even if Jadeite couldn't convince Zoisite to return with him the next day, it would only be a matter of time before the other men would be joining into the fight that was quickly approaching.

Hatsu headed to a nearby park that she knew would be vacant of even the local homeless residents of the town. She used her senses to look for the perfect place to meditate while working on the talismans. She sat in a small clearing and could smell the rich earth beneath her as she felt a cool breeze coming in off of the small pond that visitors would go out on in boats during the day. Sitting in the small forest, she felt an immense feeling of calm as she felt the items pulse with power.

With the three charms fully charged, Hatsu's head shot up as she sensed a general as clearly as if he was standing right in front of her. She knew she had told Jadeite that he should make first contact with the other men, but she couldn't help but feel that she should at least scope out a little to check on the man first. Something felt different about him than it had when she had first been able to sense Jadeite.

Using her magic to take her to the building where she had sensed the general, Hatsu quietly strolled through the darkened passageways that were only used during the day. She then went through each room while trying to find anything that would help her learn just what this place was before she approached the general. Finally, Hatsu came across a room with huge cabinets that contained hundreds of files.

Concentrating on the man whom she was sensing, one drawer opened, and a file flew from it into Hatsu's hand. Walking over to the desk in the room, she sat down and read through the file. It was then that she learned that the general had been brought here four years ago when his family first began to worry about his unusual behavior; afraid that his condition would lead him to harm himself or one of them.

Hearing keys jingling as a guard walked down the hall, Hatsu could tell that he was testing each door as he passed by. Putting the file back where it had come from, she took one last glance around before teleporting out just seconds before the door to the file room opened.

The next morning, Jadeite returned to the small school and waited for Zoisite to return. He knew that he needed to talk to the other man as quickly as possible now that he'd been given the night to freak out over seeing a stranger teleport right in front of him. Now with that out of the way, the two of them should be able to take the next step and actually discuss why Jadeite had tracked him down.

Jed waited across the street all morning for his friend to show up at the school only to figure out that he wasn't coming. By the time lunch came around, Jed decided that he may have to go to Zoisite rather than waiting for the man to come to him. He took a deep breath before concentrating on the other general. When he did so, he was disappointed to learn that he could no longer sense the man. It would appear, after their run in the night before, the other blond left the area.

After having her bag searched and going through a metal detector, Hatsu walked through the hall as she followed a nurse. She waited for the other woman to wave a badge over a keypad to unlock a door to the wing that held the patients inside. A door that protected them from the outside and vice versa.

Once Hatsu was escorted inside, she waited in a small visitation room that was very barren. It had a few heavy tables with chairs at each one but that was about it. The room smelled sterile, and the stark white walls were nearly blinding. On the other side of the room, Hatsu saw some of the patients of the hospital visiting with their friends or family who seemed to be used to their odd behaviors. Some muttered more to themselves while acting as if their visitors weren't even at the tables with them while others would shout and scream at their own guests.

When the door opened to reveal another patient being escorted in, Hatsu's eyes washed over the man as if checking for any outward evidence of what his new life had done to him. With his hair in disarray and clothes crumpled, it didn't appear as if he had looked in the mirror since he'd first checked into the hospital. Beneath the tangled hair and scruffy looking beard that the man was sporting were still the same sharp eyes that looked as if they didn't miss anything.

Once the patient was brought to the table, Hatsu waved the attendant away and waited for the man to sit down before speaking up.

"Hello, General. It's been a long time."
