A year has passed and the Pendragon Siblings have long since went back to their usual routine. Mordred went back to training, but instead of her cooking breakfast alone, Ark would wake up early, cook food for Mordred then be teleported by Merlin back inside the castle for training.
On the weekends however is the days that the siblings don't have to train and usually hang out inside the house. Mordred would rather be training then relaxing, but a few words from Ark got her to agree, of course it wasn't easy since the boy had to bribe her with more food, which was dwindling fast because he also had to cook for Merlin and Artoria whenever they come over.
Ark has yet to come into contact with Morgan on the weekends and prefers keeping it that way. And since he is off training with Merlin at the castle during the week, he never gets to see Morgan at all, which was also a good thing.
Merlin was a ruthless asshole there was no doubt about it, Ark did his absolute best to keep up with Merlin and his training schedule. The results of training were definitely showing, while he doesn't appear physically fit, his magic on the other hand is something else entirely.
Ark was intrigued by this since he constantly kept using up all his Prana leaving him dry and sore for hours. After the training session the wizard would send him back home and an hour later Mordred would return home and watch a exhausted Ark trying his best to cook them dinner.
Mordred has been acting slightly different after the talk a year ago. She would actually act nice In her own weird way. Which of course was insult him and then secretly start making sure he was OK a few minutes after, he preferred it that way cause a nice Mordred is a sign that the world is ending.
Ark didn't mind or cared about how Mordred treated him, he knew that it was all a tough act that he can easily break through with a few words.

Ark hummed as he casually summoned a fireball and make it dance around his fingers. He watched it with mesmerized eyes completely absorbed at watching the dangerous glowing orb in front of him.
How can such a little thing cause so much damage, yet bring so much hope, it can burn down forests with just a single ember, It can bring hope to humans when they see that orange light shinning down at hallway. So many feeling can be seen through this tiny litt-
"Hey Ark."
"Gah!" Ark shouted as he dropped the orb of condensed fire on the wooden floor. "Shit!" The boy summoned a large ball of water and slammed it against the fire quickly putting it out with a hiss. Clear smoke rised between the siblings as they stared at the scorch mark on the ground.
"Nice going idiot!" Mordred shouted at her brother who just stared. "Now it's going to smell like burnt wood for a few days!" Ark scowled and glared at his sister while he crossed his arms.
"It's not my fault, you surprised me and broke me from my concentration!" Ark shouted back. He will never admit it that he shouldn't be messing around with his spells while inside the WOODEN house.
"I can't believe you wanted to be a crappy Wizard of all things, you should have trained to become an awesome Knight." Mordred sighed and shook her head while Ark smirked and crossed his arms.
"Oh ya, well can a Knight do this?" He snapped his fingers then a yelp was heard from Mordred since she felt something slap against her back. Ark made the wind around them condense itself and smack his sister on the back.
"Ow, what the fuck, Ark!" Mordred growled knowing full well that her brother did that. However all the boy did was smile as his hand glowed a light blue. "Come here you little shit!" The female said rushing towards her brother who continued to smirk.
Suddenly he shined a light blue and the sound of a sword being drawn was heard. Mordred However ignored it and threw a punch at her brother wanting some payback for that smack against her back.
Crack!
There was silence before Mordred's angry face shifted into one of agony as she started to bounce around the room holding her right hand in pain trying her hardest to not let out a sound, meanwhile Ark stood there completely unharmed except for a tiny bruise on his cheek. The mage rubbed his cheek where Mordred punched him and used his Restoration Spell. His body shined a light gold as the bruise on his cheek disappeared.
"Copying Spells from Skyrim is really handy especially some of Merlin's spells." Ark thought as he looked to see Mordred still holding her probably broken hand while biting her lip. With a sigh the boy walked over to his sister and grabbed her hand not so gently.
The boy felt his sister's hand for any damages and quickly knew she had two broken fingers and wrist, it was no surprise really since she basically punched him with all her strength.
"Ow!" Mordred bonked him on the head with her other hand, but she failed once again to hurt him since his Iron Flesh spell is still active. "That shit hurts." Ark looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Really? I couldn't tell with you hopping around about to cry like a baby." Mordred growled at him before sighing as soothing warmth covered her body which also glowed a light gold. "Those spells are bullshit." They waited as the Healing Spell fixed up her hand.
Ark shrugged at her words, these spells were simple only Novice and Apprentice level, they weren't Adept or Master level spells... except his Iron Flesh spell. He has yet to teach himself only because they are the most difficult spells to use obviously.
He tried to summon a fireball on his own command only for it to blow up In his face. Merlin asked how he managed to summon two large fireballs, and to the Wizard's surprise and amusement, Ark didn't know how he did it, the boy was in the zone of combat not realizing what he was doing and just did what came to mind.
Ark stopped healing Mordred's hand who pulled away and inspect it. She rolled her wrist before making a fist. She nodded her head and looked at Ark who was back to playing with his Magic, but this time In his hand was what looks to be a black and purple swirling vortex.
"You going to summons your..." Mordred tried to remember the word that Ark when using this spell.
"Familiar." Ark reminded her. "And yes I am, I'm trying to get better with summoning and Merlin said to keep practicing, why? you want to see Kit again?" The boy teased as Mordred crossed her arms and glared at the male with a tiny blush on her cheeks trying her best to hide her embarrassment as always.
"No!" Ark smirked. "I just want to make sure he's OK and that you didn't do anything stupid to him yet!" Mordred growled out while Ark shrugged. "I-" Ark held his hand out and he concentrated for a second. Clenching his hand around the mini vortex he instantly launched it at the ground.
Both siblings stood there as large portal opened and Ark's mighty Familiar stepped out of it and stood infront of them standing tall and proud with unmatched strength that nobody could win against. It was a monster seen in only legends that struck fear in many hearts...
It was...
A tiny Fox.
Both siblings crouched down do the Fox's height which yawned and stretched his tiny body. The little Fox looked at them both before sitting down on the ground. Mordred grinned at the Fox while Ark chuckled. He reached out and picked up the tiny Fox.
The Fox had dark red fur all around its body with dark green eyes. Meanwhile its paws were covered with yellow fur that had the exact same color as the Siblings hair.
"Hey Kit, how you been?" Ark asked setting the Fox on his shoulder who tilts his head at his Summoner. "Mordred wanted to see you." Ark said off handily.
"No I didn't!" Kit looked at her and jumped off of Ark's shoulder and into Mordred's face making her yelp as the Fox started to crawl all over her. The female gagged slightly when a bit of hair got In her mouth as she tried to grab the sly Fox.
After a few minutes of failed attempts at grabbing the Fox, she finally managed to catch Kit who purposely let himself get caught.
"Gotcha!" Mordred said smirking while Kit just stared at her with his big green eyes. The soon to be Knight stared before groaning and loosening her grip around the Fox allowing him to travel up her arm and wrap himself around Mordred's neck unknowingly making her smile as the Fox snuggled into her neck.
"So you do care about Kit." Ark chuckled when Mordred jumped slightly and glared at her brother, but she didn't say anything this time, cause what comeback could she say? She could try and deny it while pulling Kit off her shoulders... but the Fox felt so soft...
Mordred simply turned away with her arms crossed and a tiny pout on her face that she tried her best to hide. Ark shook his head before pausing...
"Hey Mordred, isn't your chance to be one of King Arthur's Knights today." Mordred froze at Ark's words. Kit felt her freeze up and knew what was coming up and quickly jumped off the female's shoulders and into his Summoner's arm.
"The Competition!" Mordred shouted as she ran towards her room with Ark close behind. The duo quickly got dressed while grabbing their things. "Ark, where is my sword!"
"Up your ass!" Ark shouted back as he slipped on his pants and boots. Grabbing a fresh white shirt, he slipped that on then grabbed his red mage robes which he received by Merlin all because he felt like it. "It's under your bed." Ark shouted again as he heard crashing from behind him, but didn't pay it any mind.
"Ah Ha!" Mordred shouted as she held onto the polished steel sword. She swung it around to test it for a second.
Meanwhile Ark slipped on his red mage robes then readjusted the hood part of it before nodding his head after seeing only his mouth and jaw in the mirror. The robes were mostly red, but on the outer rims of his clothes were lined with golden silk and some special designs around the upper chest and neck area.
While Ark didn't mind showing his face, he just liked having the mysterious feeling around him. So he decided to cast a illusion spell on his robes causing only half of his face to be seen, kind of reminds him of the old Assassin Creed games and their epic trailers.
Mordred looked only to blink when she saw what Ark was wearing. He definitely looked like a mage now, a very mysterious mage... she still preferred the Knight look...
"How do I look?" Ark asked brushing the invisible dust off his sleeves. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of brown leather gloves and slipped them on while keeping eye contact with Mordred.
His sister scoffed and shook her head with a smirk on her face. She looked him in the eyes and the boy already knew her response before she said anything.
"You look like an idiot." Mordred said before laughing while Ark had a deadpan look on his face showing that he wasn't amused by her response at all. "Come on, we're going to be late for the sign up!" Mordred shouted running past Ark who stumbled slightly as his robes flapped slightly in the wind. Ark's sister has been waiting for this moment all her life, finally able to join King Arthur's side...
The boy remembered how much Mordred went through last month and how much he tried to stop her from over extending herself. He remembered how his older sister would return home heavily wounded and tired, causing the Mage to run towards the Knight's side and heal her injuries... Morgan has been more vicious with Mordred's training and she also stopped living here which was fine by the Male since he didn't have to worry about running into her, even though he purposely avoided the areas where the witch was.
Mordred has been training hard all last month going back out and working hard none stop. It got the the point where Ark had to stop her before she badly hurt herself. Of course that didn't stop the soon to be Knight and she found ways to get past Ark before she got back to training once again.
It got to the point that Ark had to nearly beg for her to stop and relaxed, of course she didn't listen, she trained through the pain of her tried muscles and worn out body. That was until the last week of the month she got back home, her whole body screaming out in pain, every step was more painful then the last. She managed to reach the front door and push it open with some minor difficulty.
Mordred stepped inside the house only to pause when she saw Ark slumped agaisnt the wall, his breathing was light as he held a plate of food in his hands... the female was silent as she stared at her brother...
She slowly took a step forward before finally collapsing right in front of Ark who didn't move or twitch at the sound of the large thump. Mordred silently groaned as she pushed herself off the floor and slowly crawled over to Ark, leaving her training sword behind.
With a painful heave she pressed her back against the wall while sitting beside Ark. She slowly turned her head towards the boy and noticed how the food wasn't steaming hot like it usual was... how long has she been training for?
Mordred looked out the window and tried to find the moon, Ark took the time of his day and taught the female on how to tell time... she saw the moon slowly lower into the earth making her realize it was nearly morning. She turned to Ark and started to wonder on how long did her brother stay up just so he can give her some food...
The Knight looked at the plate of food and gently took it away from the male's hands. She stared down on it, her face blank showing no emotions to how she felt about all this. Without a word she pushed the plate aside, but stayed where she was. Mordred felt her eyes getting heavy as everything finally caught up to her.
She unconsciously tilted to one side and unknowingly rested her head on Ark's shoulder. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it was better then nothing. Mordred felt something fall on her, but she didn't care, whatever was happening felt nice... she wanted to make her moth- no, her brother proud, he looked up to her and she did the same...
Mordred's eyes finally closed as her breathing slowed down to an even pace. Her muscles finally relaxed as her body finally got the rest it deserved. Not to seconds later Ark opened his eyes and glanced at Mordred. He smiled slightly before holding back a yawn. Ark readjusted himself and rested his head back down on top Mordred's heads.
There was silence as the two siblings slept against the wall, however another being appeared and was ready for his morning breakfast.
Merlin hummed at the sight before him and couldn't help the small smile to appear on his face, but he frowned a second later, while it was a sight that one wouldn't expect to see however this won't change anything. Mordred Fate is still the same... it's all set in stone.

"Ark, Snap out of it!" Mordred shouted in Ark's face making the boy flinch slightly along with Kit who still sat on his shoulder. "We're late and I'm not going to be able to sign up!" Ark shook his head head with a small chuckle making Mordred glare at him and grab his robes. "What's so funny, this isn't a joke!"
Ark held his arms up in surrender as Mordred finally let go of his robes making the Mage smoothen out any rinckles that were on it. What can he say, the male likes to look nice.
"Relaxe Mordred, I have a solution." Mordred groaned cause if there was one thing she learned quickly was that Ark and his solution mostly involved a sort of spell... which always ends in failure. Yet it couldn't hurt to try, there would be times when the spell worked...
"Ugh, fine what is your solution this time?" Ark chuckled again and held up and hand which had a familiar vortex. "And like that I'm already regretting everything." The boy smirked at his sister as he threw down his arm and a portal opened up in front of them.
They watched as a dark purple skeleton horse walked out and looked towards its summoner. It whined for a second and walked up to the boy and nudged his arm making Ark pet the Horse's head. The main and tail were made of purple flames, but it didn't make it look any less majestic.
Ark turned towards Mordred who had a intrigued look on her face. She walked up to the horse who looked back at her then whined and nudged her arm as well. Mordred hesitated for a second then reached out. She touched the Horse's head and instead of it being cold and hollow, it actually felt warm and alive.
"Mordred, meet Arvak, my loyal Horse and Companion." Ark said introducing his sister to the horse. She looked at him then back at the horse. "He will gladly help us to the Castle, however he can only take us to the entrance, cause people seeing a skeleton horse roaming the place will cause some problems and might mark me a some sort of Warlock... I think..." Ark put on a pondering look as he hopped up on Arvak.
Mordred looked at her brother with a deadpan look before she rolled her eyes and hopped on the horse too.
"Are there more of these Familiars of your" Mordred asked as she curiously touched Arvak's tail which felt like any actual tail... these summons are hurting Mordred's brain, what next, a creature made of fire! Or maybe a creature made electricity... ya right. There is no way Ark can do that, he is still new to being a mage and she doubts that he can do all that... yet.
The walk towards the village would have took at least a good 30 minutes, but with Arvak it cut that time in half. Both siblings were silent as the morning wind blew by them ruffling their clothes slightly. Ark tilts his head and looked at Mordred who was deep in thought.
"You can do this Mordred, You trained very hard for this, I know you'll beat this competition with flying colors." Ark spoke up making Mordred look at him and scoff then look away.
"Idiot, of course I can beat this Competition, because nobody will get in my way, I will become one of Arthur's Knights." Ark smirked before he frowned as the image of Mordred's face full of betrayal and hate flashed through his eyes.
Was there a way to stop that from happening... Ark and Merlin already talked about this... and the Wizard explained that Ark couldn't change fate... but why did the incubus bring him here? Merlin did his best to explain the situation and the Apprentice couldn't help but get a tiny bit angry...
Then again Merlin had a point, if he tried to change history it will spiral out of control... but...
Ark shook his head, what was he thinking, he didn't care about helping others, maybe in his old life he did, but now... he was just somebody who wanted to get by maybe try to become a servant for the Throne of Heros...
But how does one become a Servant? Ark went through many possibilities on how to become one and only came up short. There were too many risk in trying to become some sort of legendary Hero...
Wait, Merlin took Ark under his wing and made him into his Apprentice... maybe that will be enough to become a servant... wait no...
That won't work, because he had to be very well know In history and being Merlin's Apprentice didn't sound very Interesting or important to Ark, maybe it would be like a little detail about Merlin having a student, but that's it...
Ark went through the many different classes that were in the Throne of Heros and went through the many possibilities on which class he will become or can become. He wasn't that good with close range weapons so that takes out most of the best classes.
That leaves him with Archer, Caster, and Berserker. Ark paused for a second then added the possibility of him being two other special Roles. Ruler and Foreigner. It was a possibility of him being these five roles.
Caster was an obvious yes since he is the Apprentice of Merlin.
Archer was a maybe, cause Ark could send very dangerous spells that could level a city in the distance, he also had a very good eye that allowed him to see things from far away.
Berserker was a very low chance unless he somehow experienced something tragic... maybe watching Mordred die before his eyes will send him Into a dark place and turn him into a Berserker...
Ruler was a very laughable chance, sure he didn't have a wish, but he wasn't one to set the Rules or straighten them out, if anything he liked to get Involved and sitting back watch all the action sounded boring.
Now Foreigner... that was a very high chance... Ark wasn't from this world to begin with, he was technically from another dimension watching the Fate Series from a screen thinking about how none of this will ever be real. Not only that he was bringing powers that are unknow to this world.
He has opened up the Oblivion Gate and brought out creatures that one would never see In their whole life, Magic that can basically counter any type of attack from Magical Attacks to physical attacks. It is a magic that nobody would be able to come up with in this world or have access too. Only Ark was able to tap into it since he has seen Merlin try study it, but come up with nothing.
There was a very high chance that Ark will become a Foreigner class or Caster...
"Ark, were here." Ark blinked and saw the town up ahead. Both siblings hopped off and gave their thanks to Arvak who whined then dissapeared, returning to his home. "I like that horse." Mordred said as she walked into town, unknown to her that she was trembling with excitement.
The boy watched his sister walk towards Camelot as he stayed there for a second. He dark green eyes flashed as the image of Mordred walking through a field of bodies heading toward Artoria who waited on top of a small hill. Shaking his head Ark quickly chased after Mordred.
This walk felt strange to Ark, maybe it was because this is were Mordred will soon figure out that she is Atroria's father... and this will also make her realize that she is the next Heir to the throne... and when the cold rejection comes the start of the rebellion will soon begin.
A questions stands in Ark's head, which side will he be on?
