"Whoa it's New Year's Eve, meaning an new year is being brought in, right daddy." Rocket asked.

It was New Year's Eve on Wondergore and Rocket had just been woken up by his alarm as the lil cub had been enjoying the holiday-break playing with his friend-group known as the Princelings, opening awesome gifts on Christmas morning and playing with Casey but now it was New Year's Eve an night of possiblities and the beginning of an new year, including the party which would be fun and maybe he could dance with Lylla or get a kiss from her.

"Yes, buddy it is and guess you have an New Year's wish in mind, eh." Herbert said while giving him a haircut as his fur hair was getting long again.

Jupiter giggled as she knew that her son wanted to kiss Lylla or dance with her at the party, but too shy to ask her knowing he was like this at school because his teacher said he wasn't gery social so she and Herbert were trying to encourage him, to hang out with other kids who weren't Princelings seeing Casey playing with some of the toys she'd gotten for Christmas.

"I think I know what it might be." she said to Rocket gently.

"H-How, as I never told anybody about it." he said going pink.

"Moms know a lot of things, about their cubs." she replied to him.

Rocket gulped at her response, but knew she loved him compared to his birth-mom who'd kicked him out of his birth-family but Herbert was the best father he'd ever had and Jupiter was a good mom to him, having snacks seeing Casey joining him eating peanut-butter messily making Jupiter and Herbert giggle as she was being cute until Rocket yelped, feeling Casey's paws in his fur hair hearing Jupiter gasp, realising what was wrong.

"Casey accidentally put peanut-butter in your fur-hair." she told him, seeing him look angrily at Casey making her upset as Jupiter scooped her up knowing she didn't know better being younger than him which she and Herbert had to remind him.

"It'll be easy to get that stuff out of your fur-hair, plus you ate messily at Casey's age and you nommed on my books but you grew up a little and so will your sister." Herbert told him making Rocket hope his dad was right.

"Okay, but you should help her eat properly." Rocket told him.

"She will but in her own time." Jupiter told him seeing Casey hug her which she found cute, playing with her as she was playing with her Duplo bricks which she'd gotten for Christmas which she loved playing with plus she'd cleaned her up after snacks plus saw her needing to pee as Jupiter was toilet-training her early after Rocket took his sweet time learning that skill, seeing her on the potty which was lilac seeing her going.

"Good girl, yes you can have some candy." Jupiter told her giving her a peanut-butter cup.

"Thanks mama." she said making Jupiter laugh seeing Herbert there.

"Awwww atta girl, being a big-cub but your brother's calming down." he said.

That relieved Jupiter guessing he was working on one of his new Lego sets which he'd gotten for the holidays so this was distracting him from being angry at Casey's little snacktime mishap, making Casey relieved, she loved playing with her brother which they got but explained sometimes Rocket wanted to be alone to do big-cub things which made Casey frown.

"…. Ohhh that party was awesome and got to stay up late alomg with Lylla dancing with me, but really tired alomg with Casey as she was eating treats hehehe." Rocket said yawning the next morning which was New Year's Day knowing his mom, dad and Casey were also sleepy too hearing Herbert was up but tired making him and Jupiter stromg coffee to wake them up after the fun of last night wherehe and Jupiter danced, ate treats and mingling so Herbert was makijg him chocolate-milk to help him wake up a little.

"Happy new year and bet it'll be a better one than last year, and bet you've got goals for this year, buddy." Herbert said to him while making pancakes but the male-cub was thinking about this, while Jupiter sluggishly walked into the kitchen, drinkijg coffee saying that Casey was still sleeping being a deep-sleeper impressing Casey knowing when she started school, that might be a problem hearing Herbert say, he'd save pancakes for her when she woke up.
