Shenzi exclaimed, "Malka, seriously? It's only one gazelle!"
Malka threatened, "Leave now or face the consequences, Shenzi!"
Shenzi and the other hyenas quickly followed Malka's warning and fled the scene.
"That's odd," Haraka commented. "They usually try to fight back.
"Mheetu boasted, "Looks like they finally learned not to mess with us!"
Gumu added, "I'm not so sure, something feels off."
Scar sneered, "I never thought you could all sink any lower, but here we are."
Shenzi retorted, "What else could we do? Stay and get flattened by that roar?"
Banzai chimed in, "So, Scar, what's the plan? How do we win him over?"
Scar replied with a grin, "Patience, Banzai. All in good time. Malka will come to see the truth eventually."
"How, exactly?" Shenzi inquired.
"Have I ever told you how I got my scar?" Scar asked with a sinister gleam in his eye.
"No, you haven't," Shenzi answered.
"It's a story from long ago, but it still feels like yesterday," Scar said with a wicked smile.
When I Led The Guard
Song not owned by me
Credit: Walt Disney Pictures
Scar:
When I was the Lion Guard's fiercest
I took most patrols on my own
But when I met this Strange Lion I had no fear of being alone
He said he had wisdom and power and the most powerful should be king
With help from me and my roar
He and I rule could rule everything
I found this idea intriguing
Though the most powerful lion was me
But the strange lion was scheming and had a friend I didn't see!
(snake bite)
That's how I got my Scar!
When I led the Guard
The lion would cure the snake's venom
As long as I did what he said
But I lost control and enraged!
I roared and destroyed them instead
I expected to be praised near and far
For stopping that treacherous thing
But Mufasa just nicknamed me "Scar"
Then I knew that he shouldn't be king
That's when I became Scar
When I led the Guard
My first plot for vengeance
Was foiled when I lost the Roar
My second plan was also a failure
When that brat received the roar!
If it weren't for that miserable Malka
I'd have ruled Pride Rock to this day
But now it is time for the Lion Guard to pay!
That's why I still am scarred
From when I led the Guard
Oh-oh-oh, that's why I still am Scar
And why I'll destroy the Guard
"So... That's how you got it..." Shenzi said
Scar grinned wickedly and added, "And now, Shenzi, when the time is right, I'll need your help."
"What's the plan?" Shenzi inquired.
"We must make sure Malka can never control the roar again," Scar replied. "And that means, Malka will get his own scar."
"Hey, Malka!" Simba called out.
"What?" Malka replied.
"Wanna come with me?" Simba asked.
"Where to?" Malka inquired.
"It's a secret place, come on!" Simba urged.
"This should be fun," Tojo whispered to Chumvi, and they both giggled.
"Sorry, but I'm not interested," Malka declined.
"Oh, come on, Malka! Don't be boring!" Simba pleaded.
"Alright, fine," Malka relented.
The four cubs set off to the "secret place," which turned out to be the watering hole.
"Secret place? This is just the watering hole..." Simba started to say before pushing Malka into the water. Chumvi and Tojo laughed.
"What was that for!" Malka coughed, struggling to keep his head above water. "I almost drowned!"
"It's just a prank," Simba chuckled. "Don't be such a softy."
"Yeah, and it was very funny," Chumvi added.
"That wasn't funny for me!" Malka snapped.
"Oh, come on, Malka, we were just having fun," Simba replied.
"Fine, have fun, but I'm out of here!" Malka spat.
"Malka, come on, don't leave yet," Simba begged.
"What? Why? So you and your servants can prank me again?!" Malka retorted.
"Trust me, it's going to be fun this time," Simba insisted.
"And why should I trust you again?" Malka spat.
"Because... I'm going to show you something... Please, it's not a prank this time," Simba begged.
"Fine!" Malka hissed.
Without warning, Simba pounced on Malka and covered his face in mud, while Tojo and Chumvi laughed.
"Simba! What the hell was that for!" Malka snapped, cleaning his face. "You're going to regret that!"
"Malka, it's just a prank... you know, fun," Simba replied.
"Yeah, we were just having fun," Tojo added.
Malka had had enough and pounced on Simba, pinning him to the ground.
"I'll show you what's fun!" Malka said before biting Simba's ears, causing him to yell in pain.
"What's going on here!" Sarabi appeared.
"It's Malka. We were just playing, and he got angry," Simba lied.
"What?! Stop lying! You started it!" Malka retorted.
"Alright, you two, that's enough!" Sarabi scolded. "Let's ask the other two cubs here."
"Tojo, who started it?" Sarabi asked.
"Malka. We were just having fun, and he got angry," Tojo replied.
"Malka... is that true?" Sarabi asked.
"No! He's lying! Simba started it!" Malka replied.
"Malka... it seems like you're the one who's lying," Sarabi scolded. "I've seen enough."
"Mom! You have to listen to me! Tojo is lying!" Malka begged.
"Enough! Malka, when did I teach you how to lie?" Sarabi asked.
"Mom, you have to listen. He's lying. Simba started it. He almost drowned me because of his pranks!" Malka replied.
"Simba, is that true?" Sarabi asked.
"No, I didn't do that. Again, we were just playing, and he got mad because he lost," Simba replied.
"Stop lying!" Malka called out.
"Malka, I think I heard enough" Sarabi scolded "Follow me"
Malka had no choice but to give up and listen to his mother even tho it was all a lie.
"Malka you better have a good explanation on why you had a fight with Simba," Sarabi said
"M-mom... Please give me a chance to explain, I wasn't the one who started i-"
"Malka... Lying isn't the way to fix this" Sarabi interrupted "What you did was unacceptable you made up a story and what's worse you hurt your own brother!"
"But mom... What I'm saying is true... He almost drowned me!" Malka protested
"Stop lying, Malka!" Sarabi scolded "You were just playing with your brother and you were mad because you lost at a game!"
"That's not what happened... And Simba is always mean to me!" Malka cried before running away "If you don't wanna believe me then fine!"
"Malka!"
Meanwhile, Malka was sulking in a secluded spot near the Pride Lands. He knew he was telling the truth, but no one believed him.
He felt like he was always the odd one out, and his heart ached with the feeling of loneliness.
As he sat there, a voice suddenly spoke up behind him.
"Hey there, Malka. Mind if I join you?"Malka turned to see his uncle, Scar, approaching him with a sly grin on his face.
"What do you want?" Malka asked, trying to keep the annoyance out of his voice.
"I just wanted to talk," Scar replied, sitting down next to Malka.
"I know how it feels to be left out and misunderstood. And I have a feeling you and I are more alike than you might think."
Malka raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you mean?"
"Well, let's just say I've had my fair share of struggles and hardships," Scar said, his voice low and ominous. "But I've also learned how to take what I want, to not let anyone hold me back. And I think you could benefit from that mindset as well."
Malka was hesitant, but there was something about Scar's words that resonated with him. He had always felt like he was held back by his own insecurities and fears, and he was tired of feeling powerless."What do you suggest I do?" Malka asked, turning to face Scar.
Scar leaned in closer, his eyes glinting with a dangerous spark. "We'll start by teaching Simba a lesson he'll never forget, by fighting back"
Malka asked, "How exactly?"
Scar replied, "Attack first this time, instead of waiting for him to mess with you. Don't let them just bully you and get away with it all the time. If you get in trouble, tell them that it is your right to defend yourself as a true leader."
Malka hesitated, "I don't know, Uncle Scar. I might get into trouble."
Scar questioned Malka, "Are you just going to let Simba bully you whenever he wants, along with his friends?"
Malka replied, "No."
Scar urged Malka, "Then fight back. Don't let them get away with it all the time, or else Simba will exile you when he becomes the king."
Malka asked in disbelief, "He would do that?"
Scar warned, "Yes, as the king, he has the power to exile whoever he wants, even his own brother. And since he's always mean to you, it wouldn't be a surprise if he exiles you if he becomes the king and wanted to get rid of you all along."
Malka finally agreed, "You're right, Uncle Scar. This time, he will regret bullying me."
And that's it for chapter 5! This is going to be a two part chapter.
