Erin's pov; It's been almost a month since Kim in Blair had a little boy finally and his name is Dakota he is a pretty handsome little boy while I'm waiting on them to have him I ran into one of my old friends and he who I haven't seen in almost 7 years it was great to see her again and I learned that she has a little girl who she named after me which was so sweet she has no me back into town about two weeks ago we met each other's kids and it was great And then about three weeks ago mass and Taylor had a little girl miss Teagan Alice she is so cute and sweet our kids love the new cousins right now we are all at work just looking at things on the computer
AR= hey Erin
E= yeah Adam
AR= do you know why Alvin and Hank are in the office and why the door is close
E= well for one Adam I don't know anything that goes on with Hank and Al and second of all if they have the door closed it's for good reason and none of my business or anybody else's
AD= we will probably find out soon
J= yeah it looks like they are finishing up and getting ready to come out
AR= wait who is that with them
KA= I don't know we will see
HV= all right everyone listen up I have some good news and some bad news to share if you guys

AR= please tell us the good news first
HV= okay well everyone we have another new member to add to the unit
AD= oh we do
HV= Everyone I would like you to meet officer Dante Torres he came straight from the Academy

AO= oh yeah I've been a cop for 40 years I think I've done enough so I'll be retiring once Kim gets back from her maternity leave that she's on or at the beginning of the year I haven't decided yet
E= all right wow that sucks but I completely understand for sure we will miss you Alvin
AD= yes we will
AR= wow I didn't expect that at all
Over the next few hours we all get to know Dante and he gets to know us as well after a while Hank sends us all home, once we get home
TC= hey look boys mom and dad are home
JR= mama home ( runs to her)
JW= mama mama
J= as you can see who they like the most Teddy
TC= oh yeah they love her a lot
E= it's the best thing in the world to have mama's boys
J= so were the boys good for you
TC= of course they were they are always good
E= thanks again for watching the kids since Taylor just had her baby and isn't ready to watch other peoples kids yet
TC= it's totally fine and besides I'm happy to do it especially since it gives me some practice before the twins come with these twins
J= oh yeah
E= so Teddy are you and Carson busy for Thanksgiving this year like you guys have any plans already
TC= no we don't Carson is working the day before and we can't travel somewhere in time why do you ask
E= well how would you guys like to come over and have Thanksgiving with us
TC= I think that sounds good
J= well we are happy to have you
Teddy only stays for about another hour and leaves the older kids come home from School soon after he leaves then it was time for dinner Jay cooks us and spaghetti the kids loved it about two hours later it was the kids bed in back time we divide and conquer
E= ember and Camryn went down pretty easy tonight
J= maybe school tired them out today
E= yeah maybe so how did it go with the boys
J= well Porter went down super easy
E= like always he is one of our easier kids to get down to sleep
J= he is for sure well with the twins Jonah went down pretty easy but with Jaxson he kept fighting his sleep but eventually after a while he finally fell asleep
E= oh poor baby he's the one who doesn't like his sleep as much as the other kids love their sleep
J= oh for sure but hopefully it's a phase
E= let's hope so
J= So what did you think of the new sink surprise just for today
E= well I'm happy we are getting a new team member he seems pretty cool can't wait to see him out on the Field
J= yeah me too he's definitely way different than Adam
E= oh he is for sure different than Adam it's night and day for sure between them two
J= oh yeah we will see how we work out
E= oh yeah we will see how Dante works out
J= oh yeah but the news that I am for sure nobody expected which is the news that Alvin gave us
E= I know tell me about it to me he has always been a cop I don't know what to do when he doesn't work off us anymore
J= I know it will be crazy Alvim will be missed a lot in the unit
E= oh yeah
J= I even looked up to him as my mentor and a father figure
E= I know Jay you told me
J= One thing I didn't tell you was I looked up to him on being a father to a little girls when we found out that Camryn was a girl I didn't think I'd be a great father to a little girl so I went to Alvin to give me some great advice about being a girl Dad Since he has did so good at raising Lexie girl and being a cop he's a great example to look up to I said I wanted to be like him one day
E= oh really you do
J= oh yeah he gave me some great advice
E= I bet he did but I don't think you needed because you are a pretty amazing father especially to our little girls they love you so much
J= yes they do especially ember who is the biggest daddy's girl ever
E= oh yes she is I hope you are OK with me inviting Teddy and Carson for Thanksgiving without even asking you first
J= of course not Erin the more the merrier when it comes to Thanksgiving and besides Teddy and Carson our family anyways so why not
E= OK good so have I ever told you that you are an amazing man before
J= oh yes you have but I love to hear
E= Well how would you feel about if I should you how much I think you are one really amazing man that you are
J= I like the way you think
Before I say another word I kiss him and then he cares me to the bedroom we play around a scrabble and then fall asleep A couple days later it was Thanksgiving day and I'm waking up and and I'm pretty sure I saw my husband being creepy
J= before you say anything I just woke up myself and left over to you
E= okay That's so what time i
J= ( looks ) well it's 8:30 AM what time did you tell everyone to come for dinner
E= I told them dinner will be ready around three to 4 o'clock
J= so we better get up soon so we can get things started
E= oh yeah but has any kids woken up yet
J= I don't think so
E= all right let's see how much we can get done before they wake up
J= oh I I'll give them 30 minutes before they wake up
E= I'll say they only give us 15 minutes to get things done before they wake up
J= So are you challenge me to a bet on when our kids will wake up
E= yes I am
J= all right so whoever wins gets to have a foot massage tonight
E= works for me you better get your hands ready to massage my feet
J= oh we will see miss
We head out to the kitchen to start cooking Thanksgiving dinner and of course I won the bet because the kids get up within 15 minutes of us being in the kitchen, So we cook them breakfast which was super simple what was pancakes and bacon, over the next few hours we got all the dinner ready all of us dressed and ready and now we are waiting on the guest to show up
E= I think everything is ready
J= well it is ready and it looks great babe
E= why thank you
CN=( knocking ) grandpa Hank
PJ= how do you know it's grandpa Hank
CN= because he is always here first
J= well why don't you guys go see who is here to see if you're right
EG= oh I come see too
HV= ( opens door) hey kids

E= hey kids maybe you should let grandpa Hank in so he isn't standing out in the cold much longer
PJ= all right come in grandpa

HV= well it looks nice in here it also smells amazing in here
E= Why thank you the food is jay doing he did most of the cooking like usual
J= that isn't true you help me cook a lot babe
HV= Well you both did amazing

HV= you're welcome so I'm guessing on the first one to arrive
J= oh yeah you are early like always
HV= I guess that is how I am
E= oh yeah
Over the next hour all the gas start showing up and then start to eat dinner about an hour or two later everyone is done eating
AR= that was pretty amazing meal Jay and Erin Way to get a cooking that meal
J= why thank you Adam
TC= it was one of The best meals I ever had and you understand what I mean right Erin
E= yes I do Teddy and I'm so happy you liked it so well
CW= it's so good
J= why thanks
E= so Kim Blair Taylor and mouse how is parenthood going for you guys

J= so I'm guessing you guys aren't sleeping much

BW= we may be get three hours of sleep at night

E= oh boy I don't miss that at all
J= same here I don't either Teddy and Carson you better enjoy your sleep while you can because once the twins come you'll be awake more than you are asleep

TC= besides all of our friends have said the same things you guys
E= hey Taylor and mouse guess what I just realize

E= last year at Thanksgiving you guys just got engaged so it's been a whole year since then
GM= oh yeah that is so true
TJ= I can't believe it's been a year that you asked me to marry you
GM= what a crazy year it's been
TJ= it's not just crazy but it's been the most amazing year since we now are married and have a little sweet girl Teagan here with us
E= I think you guys had a very good year
J= thought you guys did same with you Kim and Blair

BW= The best ever
WH= hey Jay and Erin did you guys plan on going up to the cabin for Christmas again or just staying home for once
E= yeah I think we will since we love going up there each year for Christmas
J= it's more peaceful up there
NM= oh for sure besides the kids love it so much they always ask when we go up there again
E= same with our kids
J= so what about you guys are you guys going up to the cabin for Christmas too
WH= of course we will
NM= we already requested that day off months ago with Goodwin
E= that's good hey Hank
HV= yes you two can have Christmas and New Year's off again this year
J= why thanks Hank
TC= What is this magical Cabin you guys are talking about
E= Well well and Jay have a cabin up in Wisconsin
WH= Our grandfather built it a long time ago
J= it truly is the best place to be when you want some peace and quiet away from the city life
CW= well it sounds pretty great place to go to visit
NM= it is hey Erin why don't you invite your brother in Carson to the cabin for Christmas and New Year's this year
E= oh yeah so what about a Teddy in person would you like to come join us at the cabin for Christmas this year
TC= Do you know why it doesn't sound like a bad idea
CW= no it doesn't I say let's do it
J= Great the kids will love having their uncles there with them
E= yes they would
AR= wait Erin NJ why haven't we got an invite to the cabin yet
J= I honestly don't know why
E= maybe one day in the future Adam we will invite the whole unit up to the cabin
KA= all right that sounds good
VR= we can't wait to see the Kevin
HU= we heard how amazing it is
AD= i've been wanting to go up to the cabin ever since Jade mentioned it that day I walked into the bullpen when you guys were talking about it
Over the next couple hours we all just chitchat about things and sooner or later they all head home the kids have a bath and go straight to sleep pretty fast that night. About a month later it was the day before we were leaving for the cabin for Christmas we just put the kids down for the night
J= wow we have a lot of stuff to pack
E= oh yeah but that's what we get for having five kids
J= that is for sure hey at least the kids went down pretty easy tonight
E= oh thank God we have so much to do before tomorrow morning
J= oh yes we do so are you ready to spend Christmas with your brother and Carson
E= oh yes I am I can't wait
J= so how long since you spent time with your brother on Christmas
E= it's been a long time and technically we never had a very good Christmas when we were younger because of bunny
J= oh yeah which totally sucks for you guys
E= but I'm happy we have the chance to give him a pretty great Christmas for once
J= Babe you're pretty great sister for doing this all for Teddy
E= Why thanks babe it sucks we go out the way we did
J= oh yeah but now you're making sure our kids have an amazing childhood you guys didn't have at all
E= oh yeah and I think they are having a pretty great childhood
J= oh yes they are having the best child ever baby you are doing putting amazing job so don't ever doubt yourself about that
E= okay thats good
J= so what time did you tell your brother we are leaving in the morning for the cabin
E= I said we plan on leaving around 1030 but don't expect us to leave right at 10:30 since we do have to get five kids into the car with all our stuff
J= oh yeah that is such a will and not said they plan to head out around 10 AM so we both should be there at the cabin on the same time
E= that's good so is your dad going to be coming to the cabin for Christmas this year or not
J= no I don't think so he said he was busy doing something else
E= oh man that sucks but hey at least we will be spending the Christmas with her brothers and kids
J= oh yeah which will be fun enough
E= oh yeah but let's stop talking and get things done since I'm tired and we have to get up in the morning for a long drive ahead of us
J= agreed let's get to it
We spent an hour getting everything packed up and organize then we head off to bed the next morning we get up I'll just put everything in the car I make everyone a quick and easy breakfast before we get on the road , once we were done eating we get the kids and the kitchen cleaned up soon Carson and Teddy arrive and we all load up our stuff and ourselves into the car and get on the road, we only had to make one stop for gas and grab a couple more groceries that we needed we then arrive at the same time at the cabin as will Natalie and the kids do
E= well I guess we made great timing since we arrived the same time as them
J= oh yeah kids are you ready to get out
PJ= yes I am daddy
E= so what do you think of the cabin teddy and Carson
CW= it looks very nice from the outside
TC= it looks super big nothing like the places we have lived in when we were younger
E= no it isn't
EG= daddy can we get out now
J= yes we can princess let's go
WH= hey guys I guess we all made great timing since we arrived at the same time
E= oh yeah
NM= The kids are so ready to get out of the car they are ready to stretch their legs
J= so is our kids
WH= so Jay and Erin I have a surprise for you
E= you do please tell me it's good
J= please let it be food
PH= sorry to disappoint you Jay Im no food

CN= grandpa what are you doing here
E= I thought you couldn't come
PH= well yesterday my plans fell through so I called Will last night to ask if they had room for one more
NM= and we did so here we are
J= well I'm glad you showed we would have missed you if you didn't come
E= oh yeah especially the kids
JR= grandpa grandpa ( reached for him)
PH= there is my jaxs boy so how was the trip for you guys
J= it wasn't too bad especially with five kids
E= we only stopped one time
PH= well that's good to Hear I say let's head inside since it's cold outside
NM= oh yeah let's go
We all head inside while me and Natalie deal with all the kids all the boys go and grabs all our bags and stuff, the first day we got everything unpacked and got settled in over the next couple days I show teddy and Carson around the cabin and tell them all the great stories I have had her so far now it's Christmas morning
E= if I turn over and your are staring at me no more scrabble for at least two weeks
J= you wouldn't dare do that
E= well are you staring at me then
J= no I am not
E= ( turns around) oh really I'm sure you weren't watching me
J= I'm positive but anyways good morning and merry Christmas babe
E= ( kiss him ) merry Christmas babe
J= so how are you feeling this morning
E= I feel pretty good especially for being 29 weeks pregnant with twins
J= well you look great babe
E= why thank you
J= your welcome
E= so has any of the life gotten up yet
J= I haven't heard them
E= what about any of the adults
J= not that I know of
E= all right good let's enjoy our peace and quiet for now
J= oh yeah ( five minutes later) so I've been thinking the last few days
E= oh you have what about
J= with having two extra people here I realize this place is needed to have more rooms added on like this cabin isn't big enough for use anymore
E= oh no it isn't so adding a couple more rooms to this cabin is a good idea
J= so maybe in the future when we have time I'll addd on to this cabin
E= oh yeah sounds like a good idea maybe you should ask your brother and dad if they would like to help you do it
J= yeh I'll ask them soon
We spend the next 30 minutes in bed just enjoy our peace and quiet then we hear our kids and family waking up so we all go joined them in the living room, within 10 minutes all the kids presents are open and they are playing with their new toys
TC= wow it didn't take them long to open all the presents
NM= it never does
CW= but it took us at least an hour to wrap all the presents
E= well that is how it goes with kids teddy and Carson it may take you hours to wrap your kids presents
J= but it will take them only ten minutes KT less to open them all you will soon learns when you have your kids
TC= okay I guess so
CW= hey maybe we should give them our presents to them now
TC= all right so Erin and jay we got you something for Christmas
E= oh you do teddy you guys didn't have to just having you guys here is enough of a present for me
CW= we know but this gift is a very special gift so here you go
J= why thanks
E= can we open them
TC= of course you can
E= ( opens it) oh this is so cute wait what is it ( shows)
J= I got the same thing
CW= so Erin and jay we would like to know if you would love to be our twins godparents
E= wait are you serious
TC= yes we are especially since you are giving us the best gift by carrying our twins
CW= so would you be their godparents
J= of course we will
E= we would love to be the twins godparents
TC= you guys are the best
J= well that just reminded me all the gifts we brought along for you guys
WH= wait you got us some presents
PH= come on Will don't act like a little kid on Christmas
E= so the first present is for you Pat
PH= wait really you got me a present you didn't know I was going to be coming up here
J= well we brought it with us just in case you showed up and if you didn't we would had sent it back with Will and Natalie to give it to you
E= well good thing we brought it
NM= oh yeah

E= well it's a sign of all your grandkids names in birth order with their birthdays on our so you can hang it up in your house to represent your grandkids

WH= oh yes we do especially with having kids that can keep you up at night sometimes

E= I wonder what it could be
J= who knows ( opens it) jay ow a new sniper rifle it looks super nice
NM= oh yeah we asked mouse which sniper we should get and he Pointed us to this one
E= well it's super nice one but maybe we should leave this sniper ruffle here since we have five little kids at home
J= oh yeah that's a good idea I'll keep it here only
PH= sounds like a good idea
J= so speaking of this cabin dad and will I've been thinking with us having a couple more people in this cabin seem like the cabin is becoming smaller
WH= yes it does jay
PH= I was thinking the same thing
J= so I think this cabin needs at least another two bedrooms and one bathroom so maybe before the next Christmas we all take time to come up here and do some work to add onto the cabin so that when we come up here for Christmas the cabin will be bigger for everyone
WH= yeah I could do that
PH= I'll do as much as possible since I have more free time then you guys do
J= why thanks dad
E= oh I forgot I got one last gift

E= well it's for you guys
CW= wait really we don't need anything
E= I know but it's nothing big so here it is ( hands it over)
TC= okay ( opens it ) it's a little book I'm confused what is it for Erin
E= okay I know it looks like a five year old did it but I was trying to be crafty a little bit
CW= it doesn't look so bad
E= but anyways this is a little book that have made up coupons for you to use for when you need me to take the twins for an hour so you guys can sleep, or to have a date night once in a while
J= also there is a coupon in there if you need someone to come clean your house because you been too busy with the kids your house isn't clean
TC= oh wow that's so sweet thanks guys it means so much to us
CW= we definitely will use them
E= you are so welcome ( hugs)
The rest of the day we eat our Christmas dinner and enjoy all the new stuff we got, the next few days the cousin all play with each other and have the best time ever, when New Years come we cheers to a great new year and can't wait to see what the New Years brings all of us, we all returned to Chicago soon after the New Years and get back to our jobs
