So in the last chapter, we had the first flashback. Now we'll deal with healing and Izuka doubling down on her training.
Let's get into it!

"Well now kid, you've got quite a bit going for you, don't you?"
Izuka sat before Recovery Girl, her hand corrected and her ribs fixed. "Thank you for the help Ma'am."
The elderly woman smiled. "It's no problem dear. I'm glad that the blonde buffoon pointed you in my direction! That hand will have some scarring, but it'll still function. I couldn't guarantee another doctor could fix it like this."
Izuka nodded. "You are very skilled. I don't know what I'd do if I lost a whole hand."
"Amputate, get a prosthetic. It'd be expensive, take some time to learn. This is a good alternative, isn't it?"
"Definitely! Again, thank you for the help."
The woman's smile got wider. "You're too kind. Can you tell me how you got that burn?"
Izuka nodded. "I work on Quirk Engineering. I manufacture items that replicate quirk effects. In order to buy me the time I needed to survive I used an experimental item made with an explosion quirk."
"Consider yourself lucky you didn't blow your arm off! I've never come across a person quite as resilient as you. What's your quirk, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Of course. I actually don't have one."
"Incredible… truly spectacular. Truly quirkless people are a rarity these days. I'm glad to meet you."
Izuka nodded. "The sentiment is reciprocated on my end."
"I wonder… would you mind staying a bit longer? I'd like to get a few X-rays."
"Of course. May I ask why?"
The woman nodded. "If you said that this explosion bought you the time you needed against a strong villain, it must have been powerful. I want to study your body's anatomy, to see how it differs from quirked individuals."
"If you could share your results with me, I'd be glad to do some x-rays."
The woman smiled and hopped off of her chair, before beckoning for Izuka to follow her.
The heroine led her into a separate room, and guided her to the x-ray machine. Recovery Girl took a few shots, studying each for a few minutes, before making copies and walking Izuka back to her office.
"Now. First thing's first. You do not have some random quirk that makes your liver rainbow colored or anything else. You are truly, one hundred percent, devoid of any quirk factor. You have the second toe joint, a tail bone, and an appendix."
Images flashed before Izuka's eyes.
A syringe stabbing into her.
Black lightning.
Her body burning as it changed.
"Dear? Are you okay?"
Izuka blinked, before nodding. "Sorry, just a headache. You were saying?"
"Well, as far as I can tell, your body grows differently from many quirked individuals. A quirk grows along with a person's body. It takes more energy for each of us to grow, as our bodies develop specifically to cater to our powers." The woman nodded. "Your body doesn't have that. Instead of developing around an internal factor like a quirk, it develops around your external factors, allowing you to adapt quicker than most. It's slower than those with adaptation quirks, but your body's structure is stronger than quickly grown, fragile skeletal systems."
"So-"
"Your body is incredibly strong, physically. I'm sure others could develop their body to this level, but it would take longer."
"I stick to a solid diet, and work out almost every day."
"Well whatever you're doing, it's working." Recovery girl chuckled. "Tell me how your ribs broke."
"I got hit with a chunk of debris."
"Concrete?"
"Marble."
"How big?"
"About a foot and a half… maybe seventy kilograms."
"How fast was it moving?" Recovery Girl asked."
"Moderate speed."
"That's a heavy object smashing into you. Your bones are incredibly strong, any other person would be crushed!"
"Well, guess my workouts are paying off." Izuka smiled.
Recovery Girl nodded. "Are you applying for UA?"
Izuka nodded. "I hope to. I know that I have a lower chance given my quirk situation."
"I think you'll pass with flying colors." Recovery Girl nodded. "Here, you already have my vote, and you have my number if you need anything. Keep training, keep your body in shape, and you'll be a hero."
Izuka smiled and nodded. "Thank you. I guess I'll be seeing you in a few months."
"Or earlier if another attack happens."
"I intend to be careful."
"Glad to hear it! Drive safe dear."
"I will. Again, thank you for your help."
"Of course. Now your aunt must be worried sick! Go home."
"Yes yes. Talk to you again."
Izuka bid goodbye to the woman, before walking out of UA, a few new thoughts in her head.
'I need to double down on my training… If I can't defeat one villain that threatens Katsuki and his friends, I can't call myself worthy of being a hero.'
After returning home, Izuka ordered some equipment online, and began searching for ways to increase her training regimen.
While Mitsuki was still concerned, Izuka reassured her about her recovery from her injuries. She finished up most of her classes and poured the extra time into her big project.
Cleaning up Takobah Municipal Beach Park.
Every day, Izuka would spend roughly four hours moving trash and discarded tech from the shore. She salvaged a lot of the electronics that she found, taking out wiring from discarded computers and such.
It was a testament to her knowledge and dedication, how she took salvaged scrap to build new things. Using wiring and salvaged parts, she was able to repair a pickup truck that she uncovered from one of the piles of trash.
Izuka used said truck to bring heavier pieces of trash to the actual landfill, instead of the beach.
Within two weeks, Izuka had cleared a third of the entire beach. Her pace continued to get faster with each piece of trash she removed. Back and forth, tearing apart electronics and washing away refuse. Eventually, the third of the beach that she had cleared grew into a half.
Izuka slowed her salvaging and cleaning as she uncovered a broken up patch of walking path, and the demolished remnants of a dock.
The young woman began selling some of the salvaged parts she uncovered, and used the money to purchase wood, stain, sealant, and other materials.
The young woman still had six months before the entrance exam. A few people sometimes stopped by to inquire as to what she was doing.
"Howdy there young lady! What are you doin' here?"
Izuka turned to see a man in a red coat, dreadlocks running down his head and onto his shoulders. He was of medium height, and seemed to have a strange air about him.
"I'm training for the UA entrance exam. Doing this helps build muscles and stamina."
"Is your vehicle up there registered?"
Izuka smiled and nodded. "I repaired it from an oldie I found here on the beach. It's my car. Rebuilt it in a week while cleaning. Got it registered as soon as I worked out most of the kinks."
"It's a sweet ride."
"If you're looking to buy it I'm sorry to say you're out of luck."
"Oh no, 'course not. I just wanted to check up on you. I seen you here every day when I pass through. You're workin' really hard."
Izuka smiled. "Well thank you. I try my best."
"Nobody's payin' you for this?"
Izuka shook her head. "The view when I'm done will be payment enough."
The man nodded. "Keep at it girly. You mind if I have a few youngins come here and build some flower beds?"
"By all means! It'll look even prettier." Izuka smiled.
"Righteo! Expect us in a few days, round this time."
"You need any materials?" Izuka called, as the man began walking away.
"I'll bring in the stuff I need. You keep doin' whacher doin'."
Izuka smiled as the man walked off. Sheresumed her work, repairing what was left of the dock and the gazebo out on the water.
Izuka yawned as she sat down at home, turning on the television.
"In todays local news, a new civilian hero has appeared! A young woman, who had been notably involved in the sludge villain attack at the Musutafu central shopping mall, has recently been taking up a new challenge."
Izuka blinked and dropped the remote she was holding.
"Young Izuka Midoriya, a nineteen year old young woman, has been taking care of revitalizing the beachfront, no payments necessary."
-"When I first saw her on the cameras, I thought it was another person dropping a load of trash, but she started clearing it all away. The amount of time she's put into this astounds me, clearing more than half of the beach over the course of a month and a half."-
Izuka shook her head and turned off the television, before heading up to bed.
The next day, Izuka walked to the beach and began working. Around two hours in, she was approached by a few familiar faces.
"Hey, the stories were right! The quirkless reject is cleaning up the beach!" A pudgy young man with floppy hair smirked."
"What do you losers want?" Izuka rolled her eyes.
"Losers? Really? Well we just wanted to come and see how our old prey was doing!"
Izuka cracked her knuckles. "I don't know if you guys understood this, but this area is monitored by park security. Besides, I've had a hard reset."
"Oh really? Decided to find something useful to do?"
"No, just decided to give your opinions the finger. Now, are you here to fuck sit up for me? Or will you walk away?"
The boys grinned, activating their quirks.
Izuka sighed. "Well, sorry in advance I guess."
As the bullies approached, Izuka realized that everything seemed slower than normal. She swiftly dodged an attack from the first young man, before grabbing his arm and directing his hand at another.
With a push, she hit the pressure point on the boys arm and caused his quirk-'Hail'- to activate.
A wave of hailstones pelted the boy. Izuka twisted her captive around and threw him ito the third young man.
"Get off this beach and out of my sight."
The three bullies scurried away, and Izuka took a deep breath, before moving onto her next section.
Rubble surrounded the girl, her eyes half lidded as she tried to clear away some debris.
The building shook as Inko gave a shout.
"Izuka!"
Izuka clutched her head as the vision assailed her. With a huff, she shakily put a chunk of crap metal down, before getting a drink of water.

Izuka blinked as she beheld the man who had brought students to help with the beach decorations. He was dressed in a hero outfit that she knew relatively well, although he did not sport his signature mask.
"My apologies, kid. I thought it best to meet you before the day's events."
"You're Snipe…"
The man grinned and gave a nod. "That I am little miss! I'm impressed with the work you've put in here."
Izuka shook her head. "Think nothing of it sir."
"You do know you're gettin' awarded for this, right?"
"As much as I want to refuse the award, I doubt that the public will enjoy it. So yes. Shall we go open this park now?"
"Yes siree. By the way, I was wonderin' if you had found any oldies like that pickup you salvaged."
Izuka chuckled. "If you can find a frame, I can probably give you all the parts you need to get it running."
"Well tickle me pink! I'll sure take you up on those parts then!"
"If you can show me where, I'll glady put it together for you. I need something to keep my hands busy."
"Course! Here's my number. I'll call ya to schedule a time."
Izuka was handed a slip of paper, which she took with a grin. The young woman nodded to the hero. "I'll keep an ear out."
The hero nodded, before motioning for Izuka to follow him.
The two walked down to the beach, where a small crowd was gathered. Shipe handed Izuka one of his pistols.
"If you'd like to do the honors."
Izuka smiled and took the fire arm, pointing it at the sky.
"We declare this beach re-opened!"
The revolver let off a shot, and the crowd gave a cheer. Snipe raised his hand to silence everyone.
"I'd like to give my thanks to the students who helped with the flower beds and sculptures around the area. But, the most thanks goes to miss Midoriya, who dedicated her time to cleanin' this here beach."
The crowd clapped respectfully, some giving a few whoops.
"It is with great pride that I bestow the outstanding citizenship award. Well done kid."
Izuka smiled as Snipe handed her a certificate. "I hope to see ya at the entrance exam kid. Oh, and I'll be in contact with you about that pickup."
Izuka nodded with a chuckle. "Sure thing sir."
The rest of the day went smoothly. Izuka scheduled a date to meet with Snipe about the pickup. The two talked a bit about Izuka's future goals, and the topic of her being quirkless.
"I learned how to fight quirkless myself. Can't do much if I run outta bullets."
Izuka nodded. "I learned a few more ways to fight. Picked up a few martial arts, earned how to make a few devices and then built u from there."
"Your goal is incredibly admirable." Snipe nodded. "I'll be rootin' for ya all the way."
"Thank you sir."
"Call me by my hero name, it's Snipe, kid."
Izuka smiled. "Thank you then, Snipe."
The two enjoyed a few glasses of punch, served by the event team. Izuka swore that if she came back to find litter the next day, then heads would roll.
The event team assured her that they'd clean up, while snipe gave a few chuckles.
Eventually, people began to filter out of the beach, and everything wound down. Izuka gave a final goodbye to Snie for the time being, before heading home.
"So, the local hero have a good day?" Mitsuki smirked.
"Don't pick on me. How was your day?"
"Good, Katsuki's friends are visiting tomorrow. They heard about the beach."
"Well tell them it'll be too cold to swim."
Mitsuki laughed. "They know. They just said you're really cool."
Izuka blinked. "They think I'm cool huh?"
Mitsuki nodded as an alarm went off behind her.
"Oh! That's my cue. Masaru and I have a late show tonight, so we'll be out until ten. You think you can make dinner for you and Katsuki?"
"Please, who do you think got his spice levels that high?"
"So, melt your mouth of curry tonight then… I'll warn Masaru."
Izuka gave a chuckle and shook her head as the woman walked away.
"Izuka…"
The young woman shot to her feet and looked around.
'Just another chill… I'm okay, I'm perfect!'
"Izuka…"
The girl held her head in pain as another vision assailed her mind.
A man in a familiar dress suit stood before her, arm raised to shelter her.
All Might stood, staring the man down. As Izuka looked at his eyes, she could feel the weight of an immense rage, pressing upon her from all directions.
"A filthy man like you cannot have a family…"
"It is not for you to decide."
Izuka's eyes snapped open as she shakily looked at her hands.
'What the hell… are these memories…'
"We're headed out, see you later honey." Masaru called.
"Yeah… Later."

Alright, that's chapter nine. Hope you're enjoying the slow burn. The plot will be pretty slow. Again, I don't want as many plot holes.
Almost any questions you have now, will be answered in a later chapter. I hope you enjoy reading so far.
