"STING! ROGUE! NINA! Are you three unharmed?!" Minerva asked.
Nina smiled softly at the Spacial Mage, grateful for her having sent her brother to them when she did. "Minerva... T-Thank you..." She said as the woman smiled in return.
"Rogue!" Yukino called, rushing to his side.
"Forgive me, my flower... I cannot even stand up..." Rogue said, smirking.
"Yuki... Minerva.." Sting said.
"It seems the battle was finally decided." Looking back, she made clothes appear out of thin air. "Here..." She handed them to Sting before Nina. "I think you might need these."
Nina nodded to let her know she understood and the two went to change before returning, her helping her brother stand before Lector and Shina both nearly knocked her over in a hug.
"Nina! Sting!" Lector said, hugging her tightly as Sting put a hand to keep her from falling over and petting his head.
"Rogue!" Frosch said, smiling.
"You hung in there. Great job!" Sting praised, ruffling his friend's fur.
"We were pretty much helpless, though!" Lector said.
"Fro's gonna eat together with Rogue and Nina!" Frosch said.
"Y... Yeah... Wait... What are you talking about?" Rogue asked, clearly confused.
Yukino laughed softly. "It's nothing, my knight... Just Frosch being Frosch..."
Nina went to Kagura and smiled. "Thanks, Kagura..."
"Don't mention it, Nina." She then looked to Minerva. "Minerva..."
"I believe I have yet to apologize to you properly... For everything I did during the Grand Magic Games..." She looked to Nina.
"I consider it water under the bridge... Plus, I've quit resenting and bearing grudges for others." She explained.
Nina understood those words very well as she stretched to get some kinks out before they both sat down and leaned on each other, exhaustion taking a hold once more. "We're empty as well... The rest is in their hands..." Nina looked to the sky, the Fairy Tail heart of hers beating in hope.
"Yeah... They're all yours... Fairy Tail.." Rogue agreed, the others looking to the sky, each praying Fairy Tail would come out victorious. [[This is where we stop seeing Rogue and Sting in the manga for the remainder of the chapters, it seems... So~ My take~~]]
After a few hours, they all were back on their feet, battered and bruised, but now able to get up and walk around. She was surprised her nose, like the others, finally was able to lock onto a few scents. Her frown returned when she remembered what was in that direction and a shiver ran through her system, getting Sting to pull her close.
"I assume I missed somethin... Sorry again. Freed took a while to get us here." He replied.
Nina felt the tears grow again. "Gramps... used Fairy Law... It... took all his life force in order to eliminate most of the enemies... But not all."
"Freed mentioned that the light was Fairy Law, which actually helped us get here, actually... I was too focused on finding you guys to notice the smell." He admitted. "I wish I'd been there for ya."
"Well, you're here now... That's what matters to me." She said as they reunited with Laxus and the others. "Laxus..."
"You look as bad as the rest of us..." He said plainly before softly patting her head.
"Whaddya expect when some idiot decided to use an attack impossible to block? Good thing that idiot is down..." She huffed, remembering the Pleasure spell all too well. It made her really wanna just take Sting to make that memory vanish. That was before she looked at the body Laxus held. "He... knew... That's why... he talked to us before he war against Tartaros. He must've known..."
Laxus grimaced before tilting his head. "Huh?"
"He wanted to... merge Fairy Tail and Sabertooth... For my sake..." She inhaled a little to try and calm herself down. "We.. gotta get... him back to Fairy Tail..." Nodding to the two having a hold on her, she stood up with them keeping a very close eye on her. Her entire being felt heavy now that the war was done and she wondered if it was a sign she was stronger. She tilted her head, looking at the sky. "Huh? A star? What's going on?" She blinked from her seat next to Sting.
"Dunno... But, hell, it's huge."
"Huh?! It's exploded?" Nina looked utterly floored before realizing the magic from moments before it did so. "Well..."
Sting tilted his head. "What?"
"You felt that power for a moment, right?" She saw them nod. "That was Titania... Erza-chan's full power when she fights for her family... What you saw in the Games... That wasn't her full potential. She was called Titania because she fought for her friends and those she loved dearly. And, became the Queen of the Fairies because of that."
Minerva gulped and shook. "I'm lucky to be alive... If she used that kind of power..."
Nina shook her head. "She wouldn't do it... Only if it might kill someone will she ever do that... She knew you were merely following orders and had no say in your place." That was before the light from earlier started shining again. "Wh-What?" She instinctively clung to Sting with one arm while grabbing Laxus with the other, the others seemingly following suit by grabbing another's hands at it brightened before vanishing as she looked around. "W-We're in Magnolia!?" She beamed a smile right before enemies appeared. "I guess it's time for the Fairy Tail part of me... To get some payback!" She charged with Bickslow, Freed and Evergreen, whom were reunited with them because of the magic apparently ending. "Master Mavis, give 'em an idea!" She placed one foot on an attacker before lighting her other up with shadows. "Shadow Dragon's Talon!" She then kicked the same person before flipping to land feet first.
Rogue chuckled at the display, shrugging at the confused look of Sting. "I believe she's now using the Fairy Tail side of her... It's actually amazing, isn't it?" He asked as they watched her fight. "Her heart was always brighter than mine as children, she always put me first, despite me being the older one. When we were reunited, she became more selfless and put me and Sabertooth ahead of herself... When you and her mated, it followed that same path... She put your safety over hers... She definitely defies the normal way of things. Normally, it's supposed to be us men protecting her... But, she protects us."
Laxus chuckled at that. "I think she's the next Erza... Nina always seemed different when she was growing up. Whenever there was a brawl in the guild, she'd be the one to demand the others rest up, even if she needed it first. I guess she really idolized Erza from the moment she got to Fairy Tail. I suppose it's who she is."
Minerva nodded. "She forgave me faster than most would under any other circumstances. After listening to me, she automatically considered me her friend, even though I was the one to harm her the most. I suppose my new name for her fits: Seibāyōsei. She has the ferocity of a tiger, but the grace and kindness of a fairy. I suppose I use it on the same level of Titania... While Erza is the Queen of the Fairies, and I am the Queen of the Tigers... She... is the Queen of the SaberFairies."
"Huh. Milady giving nicknames... Fitting." Rogue chuckled as a hard punch from his sister seemingly ruptured the poor guy's gut as he was sent into the ground.
Sting wished he had some strength, but he was tapped out and could only watch as she wreck house, similar to how he went to town on Natsu and Gajeel in the Games. Because he had met the First Master of Fairy Tail, he had to grin when she looked as beat as they were, yet serious. "One day, I'll tell ya of the girl..." He stated.
"Girl?" Rogue's mind immediately jumped to a conclusion. "You dared..."
"Not like that! Geez... I would never. For pete's sake, the girl is over 400 years old!" He defended before muttering. "Tiny body, too. Not my type."
Nina took a moment to hear that and kept herself from laughing. Her mate had a type: her. He loved her boobs to a point, she often found him merely burying his face in them every morning while his hands were around her waist. She worried what would happen if Cana ever influence him and shuddered. Her poor boobs would never get peace again, considering the Card mage loved to grope any woman's chest, no matter if she were sober or drunk.
"This is our home ground! We know which positions are easy to defend, so go to one, now! And don't forget to scout for enemies behind us!" Mavis ordered.
Nina stayed besides Laxus, who held Makarov's body and couldn't fight because of it as she heard him speak. "Gramps... Just a little farther. We'll get you there. Don't worry. We're goin back to the guild. Back home."
She smiled as she saw that, despite only having strength to walk, Sabertooth was on her heels. The idea made her shake her head before a bell rang. "Wait... That bell..."
Laxus growled. "Someone's on the top of the cathedral... But... Who?"
Nina used her nose and felt both anger and fear rise up. "It's one of The 12... He's... Strong.."
"O, children of the Emperor! O Twelve, pride of the Empire! Prepare yourselves to offer your flesh and souls to His Majesty!"
Nina wobbled when the ground began shaking. "The entire ground and atmosphere is shaking! What's goin on? How strong is this guy?!" A part of her wondered if he were the Empire's strongest behind Zeref himself. She smiled when Sting steadied her as she looked up. "He's... gonna destroy Magnolia... And take out foe and ally along the way! This is bad... Huh?" She had to shield her eyes to see who had come from above before beaming. "GILDARTS! Hell yeah! Kick some ass!"
"Gildarts? The guy that found you?" Rogue asked.
"Yup... But... He's not only Fairy Tail's 5th Guildmaster, but he is the strongest S-Classed wizard Fairy Tail has... He's even stronger than Laxus and Erza combined. He doesn't use doors because his magic crushes anything, so he makes his own... Magnolia has to shift to make it so he doesn't destroy houses merely by walking." She saw the fear on their faces. "But, he rarely uses it unless we're in trouble. On Tenrou Island, he save us from Grimore Hearts' Bluenote Stinger by using his magic."
Laxus chuckled. "I feel bad for the one he's fighting. Gildarts can get nasty if he wants. Especially if it involves either Cana or Nina."
"Eh?" Sting asked.
"Well, Cana is his blood daughter and he saw me as a second one, considering he found me and brought me to Fairy Tail." She said as the entire church broke apart. "Downside: he tends to overdo it and break everything around him..."
"Let me handle this guy." Gildarts said with a smile.
Nina nodded as she led the others away from the fight. Her nose picked up that Natsu was up and about, as well as Gray's being very close to Zeref's. "Don't tell me... Gray's gonna take on Zeref?"
"Is he nuts?" Sting questioned.
She frowned. "He might be... But if Gray dies... Natsu'll snap. Despite their interactions, Natsu considers Gray a brother... They've been together for so long now that they could be with how they act towards each other..." She smirked. "They fight, they argue and they can insult each other, but at the end of the day, they can joke around like nothing happened." She was about to continue when she froze, along with the others. "T-That power... No... Not him... Acnologia! He found us! We're in trouble... Gildarts is busy with that wizard..." She gulped right as she felt Cana use Fairy Glitter. "Cana... She used another one?"
"What's that?" Sting asked.
"Fairy Glitter, another one of the Three Great Fairy Magics... Mavis's spell." She stated.
"She used it in the Games, if I recall. It broke it." Yukino said.
"And that wasn't the tip of that power... She trained in the year Fairy Tail was gone and it's even stronger than now." Came Mavis's words as she glanced that way. "She might stand a chance... Now, keep advancing!"
"Gotcha." Nina winked and booted a few that were in the way. "Ya got that, idiots! Outta the way!" The earth started shaking again as she grasped her neck in sheer pain and dropped. "C-Can't... Breathe..." She managed, seeing the others weren't in any better shape as she tried her best to get to her mate, almost collapsing and coughing up blood.
"L-Lita... I-I gotcha..." Sting coughed as well, holding her as tight as she did him. "I-It's my j-job to protect ya... S-So I will, no matter what... I love ya.. So much."
"S-Sting... J-Just hold me..." She flinched at the pain while tears streamed down her face, mixing with the blood at her chin as she looked to see that Rogue was doing the same to Yukino, Laxus had both Mira and Makarov's body in just as tight of a hold. A part of her was broken that she would never see the future Sting promised, instead they'd die here. On the bright side, they'd be dead together. However, she blinked when she could breathe, wondering what happened. "H-Huh?"
"I'm... not sure... I'm just as confused as you are..." Came Sting's reply as he chuckled before kissing the top of her head and standing with her, making sure she was steady on her feet. "You alright?"
"Kinda? I still got just enough energy to kick butt... I have a hunch I'll need a long nap later." She said, not quite ready to go right away, memorizing his smell before smiling.
"Go kick ass, Supergirl..."
"Don't I always?" She giggled and decided to go after a wave, sending half flying from a wing attack before focusing on using her physical attacks, wanting to not completely deplete her power. However, she was sent rolling when waves of wind and power rolled over the land. "G-Gah... T-This power... It's... So strong!" She growled, trying to stand, but was only knocked back again from the waves before it died out. "That came from the guild hall... Damn body... I think I overdid it." It was this moment she hated being herself. All the fights finally caught up to her as she only managed to get to her knees before finding herself on a familiar back. "L-Love?"
"Heh. If ya can't walk, I gotcha. I'll take ya there myself." He said with a wink as they met back up with the rest.
"Let's go check..." Glidarts was saying.
"N-Not so fast, Gildarts-sama..." Nina said with a smile. "I... I think Master Mavis... Wanted us away... From the guild."
"Nina? What..." Cana began.
She merely smiled. "Fights caught up to me... I'm just relaxin for a bit..." She explained as she saw the other two see Makarov.
"I just wanted to bring him home to the guild as soon as possible..." Laxus stated.
"Say, where'd the black dragon go? I don't sense him here anymore." Freed asked.
Nina thought back and hummed lightly. "I think I saw him chasing Blue Pegasus' ship..." She sighed a little. However, they all paused and looked around before her eyes landed on Makarov, who was opening his eyes.
"I must've been dreaming..."
Nina shook and collapsed into Sting's arms, tears of relief streaming her face. "G-Grampa..." She said.
"MASTER! YOU'RE ALIVE!" The remander of Fairy Tail cheered while Laxus and Nina wept happily.
"Gramps..." Laxus said, joy flowing in his words.
"I had the strangest of dreams... A warm life-force was coursing through me... A barefoot girl, and a jet-black boy were playing ever so joyfully..." [[Correction! This is the last thing I read~ xP Silly me]] He said as he let Laxus put him down. "Come, what's with those tears? We need to head home." He then noticed Nina and the others. "Ahh, dry your eyes, child. I'm fine." He glanced to see that they were all more battered than before. "What happened?"
Nina giggled through her tears. "A lot... I'll tell ya as we take back your guild hall..." She promised as they resumed walking. "This mage Larcade had a spell known as Pleasure and it was probably the worst thing ever. However... Let's say I kinda snapped went I believed he killed Sting."
Makarov's eyes widened. "Really?"
She nodded. "You know how I can usually enter Dragon Force, right?"
"Yes, but it's taxing on you." Marakov nodded.
"Well, I went a step above that... I went into the Second Stage of Dragon Force... How I'm alive? Have no clue. It's said it is such a rare state that none have really survived... Except me, apparently." She sighed. "I guess it's true: Dragon Slayers don't stay down like we're supposed to."
Makarov chuckled. "You said it... I'm so proud of you... Once we finish this, we'll do the merge... For your sake."
Nina nodded as Sting let her stand at her side right before she and the other Dragon Slayers's instincts kicked in. "DOWN!" She ordered, the others doing so while the Slayers merely jumped to avoid the blast aimed at them right before they all vanished in front of everyone.
"Nina! Sting! Rogue! Laxus!" The guilds called.
