Ark casually walked into the Trace user's Manor and was slightly surprised to see Artoria standing at the entrance. But she wasn't tensed up or wearing her armor. The King of Knights was just looking at him with her hands clasped together. Both sides had a staredown; no hostility was sent towards each other. After a few seconds, Ark decided to speak first.
"Artoria."
"Ark."
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward, which the male was used to thanks to his past life, so the Mage simply looked down at Sakura, who shuffled in his arms, trying to get comfortable.
He still needs to remove both the grail piece and crest worm; after that, his job is done. The Mage needed to expand his knowledge of Restoration Magic. And if there is one thing Ark never used throughout his many Skyrim Playthroughs was the restoration tree.
Sure, he knows the basic Restoration spells, but that's where his knowledge of the spells ends. He much prefers his destructive spells.
"I'm surprised to see you out here?" Ark said before walking towards the King of Camelot. "I wanted to leave unnoticed." Artoria looked at Sakura then back at her second son. "I wouldn't recommend asking what I did; all you need to know is I did this world a favor." The Mage said, seeing the familiar look in the Knight's eyes.
The False Knight held out the girl for the king to take. Artoria took note that Ark wasn't acting as hostile as he usual way. If anything, the young man looked tired and looked to be holding himself back from doing something.
"This girl is the same one Shirou talked about," Artoria stated. Ark rolled his eyes and shoved Sakura into the blond female's arms. "What did you do, my son?" The Mage just stared. The king was startled to see that his eyes were suddenly filled with pain.
"You should worry about your own Master then what I'm doing." Ark spun around, his hands balling in anger. "And why do you care? You never showed a sliver of care towards us, only your people?" The Mage spat, but his voice didn't match with his eyes.
Artoria went back to when Ark said what his wish was about and what he wanted the most of. The king blinked only to realize Ark was walking away, his body trembling.
The Mage was still not in the right state of mind, especially with his little debate on choosing Sakura's fate; he can figure out how to help her later. Right now, the Ex-Apprentice wanted nothing more than to hug Mordred and just let his emotions go free.
He didn't care what his sister would say; he needed some comfort right now. Ark didn't want to show Gray this side of him, not yet anyway. Mordred has seen this side of him a few times, Merlin included. His teacher understood why he was feeling the way he was, but Mordred would never understand.
Tears were building up in Ark's eyes, but he grits his teeth and quickly wiped them away. He wasn't a little kid; he was a grown man. God damn it! Taking a shaky breath, the Mage was about to continue walking but paused when two arms wrapped around him.
"Artoria, let go of me," Ark said, trying to make his voice stay flat. "I don't want to speak with you right now." His voice cracked slightly, which made him curse inside his head. "Just bring the girl to Shirou and leave me b-"
"Ssshhh," Artoria said. She remembered that during her time in Camelot, she saw a little boy crying and a woman rushing towards him. The possible mother ran up to the boy, hugged the little child, and started saying something to him.
This caused the child to calm down and hug the woman back. "Just... Let me hold you." Ark wanted to push her away; he wanted to scream and shout at her.
He wanted to tell her that she should direct this... loving attention towards Mordred, not him. The Mage doesn't want it... All of this was a lie; he missed being held by a loving mother who cared about him. "I understand you and Mordred are angry with me; no amount of forgiveness will ever fix what happened between us all... Please, Ark, I want to help you."
The Ex-Apprentice looked down at the ground before growling, spinning around and shoving her away from him.
"I don't need your help!" Ark shouted, his body cracked with wisps of fire surrounding him as he stared at a slightly shocked Artoria. Not because he pushed her away, but because she saw tears start rolling down his cheeks and off his chin. "I can take care of myself just fine." The King knew that was a lie; she knew he could take care of himself physically, but not mentally. What she is seeing right now is proof of that.
"Ark-"
"Shut up!" The King shut her mouth as the image of Merlin's Apprentice crumbled before her. She can see her second son slowly breaking down in front of her. "I don't need your help... I... I..." Ark started to stutter his already broken mind, trying to mend itself back together.
"Ark!" Artoria shouted, silencing the mage as he tried to fight back more of his tears. He shouldn't have come here while he was still vulnerable because his true self would come out, and he didn't want that to happen, especially in front of Artoria. "Please, calm yourself." The young woman stepped closer to the young man who didn't move or back away. She wasn't the best at this type of thing, but she was going to try and comfort her son just how she watched that woman comfort her child.
She reached out and didn't flinch when the armor he wore disappeared and became a much more casual appearance. The male, however, did flinch when her hands landed on his shoulders before she suddenly pulled him in for a tight hug. Artoria buried her head into his chest and listened to her son's heartbeat.
It was beating at a slow pace, showing that he wasn't nervous or scared. His body, however, continued to tremble as he kept his arms at his side. After a few minutes, Ark slowly reached out and wrapped his arms around the King of Knights.
"I'm..." Artoria only shook her head and tightened her grip around her fellow Pendragon. "Just let it out. Merlin has always told me to never bottle up my emotions, especially when I was king."
But Ark didn't. He just stood there holding Artoria before he finally loosened grip and gently shoved the female away. "Ark?" The male spun around and started walking away. Artoria held out a hand only for it to drop when the Caster suddenly vanished from sight.
She sighed and lowered her head.
A few miles away, Ark appeared next to a tree, his eyes not entirely focused on where he was. With a growl and shout of anger, the Mage punched the tree, causing it to crack. He stood there, his breathing heavy trying to replay what just happened between him and Artoria.
The hug felt so nice that the mage never wanted to let go. While it didn't feel as loving as he expected, it's the thought that counts. Artoria tried to comfort him, and it worked. He wasn't a sobbing mess anymore, and he didn't want to break down crying in front of the King.
Taking a deep breath, Ark closed his eyes and sat down. After a few minutes, he opened his eyes and sighed with a great amount of annoyance. His clothes were swapped out for his armor.
Of course, someone was watching him. He stood up and spun around, only to jump back at the sight of Hercules staring down at him with Illyasviel sitting on his shoulder. The little Master giggled at the Mage's reaction, making Ark roll his eyes.
"What could the Master of Berserker want with me now?" Ark said with clear annoyance in his voice. The pale girl only stared at him with a creepy smile while Ark got ready to cast some spells. "Is it possibly revenge for almost killing you? Sorry, but people trying to kill me usually get that treatment." Ark said.
"You're a Caster; you'll have no chance against Berserker." Ark shrugged; he didn't care if he was at a disadvantage. The mage has many ways to escape this situation; all he needed was a bit of time.
"Seeing as how you're not trying to kill me at this very moment, what the hell do you want?" Illyasviel only smiled and pat Berserker, making him put down the girl with surprising gentleness.
"I just wish to speak with the extra servant that appeared in this Grail War," Ark grunts not buying into this bullshit. "Even though you already killed Assassin and the Original Caster."
"Don't forget Lancer and Rider; those servants were easy to kill," Ark added, making Illyasviel stare at him in wonder.
"You are a strange servant," Illyasviel mumbled while Hercules growled, but Ark didn't falter at the sound that Berserker made. "So you killed four servants, leaving only Archer, Saber, and Berserker." Those words didn't fully sink into the Caster before he suddenly realized how close he is until the end. "But what about you? You're an unknown variable in this mix." Illyasviel said while Hercules got his weapon ready.
"I didn't care much for the grail; I only care about my Master's safety and getting her out of this war alive," Ark said evenly before he suddenly smirked. "You definitely won't be winning this grail war, and we both know why." Illyasviel suddenly glared at him, making the Caster chuckle.
However, Ark suddenly vanished and reappeared a few feet away. He stomped his foot against the ground. Berserker grabbed his little Master and dashed away just as a pillar of fire shot out from where they stood moments ago.
"Guess I should bring Hercules's lives down a few more notches, seeing as how I already killed him three times," Ark said before yelping when Hercules suddenly dashed towards him with his weapon ready to slice him in two. "But I can see that won't be an easy task." Ark summoned EO (Excalibur Oblivion) and just barely blocked the overhead swing.
Berserker suddenly spun around, sliding the massive weapon off EO and kicking Caster in the side with tremendous force, making him cough up blood.
"Hey, Mordred... I might be in some danger." Ark said, directing his thoughts towards his sister as he hit a tree, breaking the whole thing in half. The mage hit the ground and skipped slightly before he righted himself. Landing on his feet, Ark Cast Ebony Flesh, then a fast healing spell, fixing his now broken ribs.
"What! Where are you, Idiot?" Mordred's concerned voice was echoing in his head, making it difficult to send where he was exactly. He heard growling and stomping, coming at him and fast.
Placing a light blue rune under his feet, Ark jumped to the side just as Berserker came charging forward. "I and Archer are on our way." Ark heard Mordred say through their link.
"Fuck, now I just have to hold out... Maybe I shouldn't have angered Hercules and his Master." Ark thought as he dodged to the side again. He held EO in his right hand while a Bound sword was held in his left. "Stupid fucking idiot, once again you do something without a plan and just wing it as you go." Ark was shouting in his head, cursing himself for not planning ahead of him.
The mage knew Hercules was immune to fire, ice, and electricity. So that's almost every spell he knows. He can still use a bow and his swords... Let's also not forget about his summons.
Ark raised his swords and got into a sword lock with Hercules. It was a futile struggle since the larger man easily overpowered him and broke the sword lock, knocking Caster off balance.
"Aw shit!" The blond male shouted before Hercules slammed his sword into Ark and sent the weak mage flying out of the forest. He rolled across the ground, leaving a trail of blood in his wake. "Fuck." Ark said weakly Ebony-Flesh just barely saved his life. These Alteration spells are nothing against Berserker's overwhelming strength.
Ark relied on his spells, not his swordplay; if any enemy is immune to magic and an expert sword user, then he is a dead servant walking. Blood left Ark's lips as he tried to push himself off the ground, only to painfully roll away just as Hercules appeared and slammed his foot into the ground just where Ark was a moment ago.
"Sometimes being Caster sucks, but I'm not going to complain," Ark mumbled as he barely raised EO and blocked another attack that sent him flying across the ground. "Don't have enough time to use my Noble Phantasm, and Berserker definitely won't just stand there and let me active it." Clenching his hands, Ark snapped his eyes open as red electricity danced around his body.
Hercules blinked, and Ark was gone, only for a spike of pain to spread through his chest, making the man roar out in pain. He spun around to hit his attacker, only to hit nothing.
"Hmm, you didn't die from that." A large gash appeared on Berserker's chest. "No surprise, I'm only a Caster, so I don't have much strength, to begin with."
"Mind if I pitch in?" A cocky voice was heard making Berserker spin around to see the Pendragon Siblings facing him. Both of their swords are ready with bright red energy surrounding them both. They dashed forward. Ark aimed for Berserker's right arm and tried to slice it off, only to fail and leave a shallow gash.
Ark barely ducked under a swing before rolling backward to dodge a kick to the face. EO vanished in favor of a Bound bow. The mage was quick to let loose some bound arrows. Most of them hit their mark; others either flew past the large man harmlessly or nearly hit Mordred.
"Watch your aim!" The female shouted annoyed, and she blocked an attack then knocked it aside. She pulled her arm back and punched Hercules across the face. Spinning on the ball of her heels, she dragged her sword across Hercules's midsection, barely cutting the skin. "What the hell is he made out of!" Mordred thought as she barely dodged an arm from slamming into her head.
"Hercules is pretty sturdy, so we'll just have to hit him harder!" Ark shouted while Mordred scoffed. "And where is Archer!" On those words, a bunch of arrows pierced Hercules. Making Ark look to see EMIYA off to the side with a bow in hand. "Oh, look an Archer using a bow finally." EMIYA glared at him.
"Do you want help?" Actual Satan said, slightly annoyed.
"We didn't need help; all we need is a meat shield," Ark said, smirking at Archer, who rolled his eyes and continued firing arrows after arrows. "And don't worry, you won't be here for much longer either," Ark said to himself as he pulled back an arrow and put an overcharged blizzard spell in the arrow.
He took a second before snapping his eyes over to Illyasviel, who watched the whole fight. She looked at Caster and suddenly looked scared when the male smirked at her and directed his attention towards her.
She still has two command seals that can be used against them. Ark needed her to lose them, and the only way to do that is by threatening her life.
Was he going to kill her? Possibly, if she reacts fast enough, then she'll live, if not... Illyasviel will soon be part of his ever-growing body count that is permanently being held over his head.
The Mage let loose the arrow and watched it fly through the air, but unsurprisingly, it was knocked aside by Hercules, but the downside being Illyasviel didn't use a command seal that's all the Servant's doing.
Mordred ran up beside Ark on his right while EMIYA stood on the Mage's left with his bow ready.
"Destroy them, Hercules!" Illyasviel commands, making the Berserker roar before charging towards the trio with his weapon reeled back in a downward strike.
Mordred reached out and shoved Ark behind her before lifting her sword and blocking the attack. She left out a grunt as her arms trembled from the force being applied to the attack.
The Knight roared and knocked aside the large weapon, allowing the two servants behind her to rush forward a second later.
Ark had a bound sword in his right hand while a healing spell was in his left. He tightened his grip around the magical sword and stabbed the man in the chest, knowing full well that he would barely leave a slash mark, so a thrust attack was required.
Thankfully, the sword went through the tough flesh and probably reached the Demi-God hearts. Sadly, his sword was stuck, and Berserker took advantage of that by punching Caster in the face, sending him flying away.
Archer easily hopped over Ark's body and fired off some arrows that pierced the large man. Next, Mordred followed up with a diagonal slash and then a thrust attack right after. Using one arm, she practically danced around Berserker, slicing him up as much as possible.
But Hercules was once again quick to move by blocking the attack aimed at his head, then sent Mordred flying away with an attack that took only a moment.
EMIYA sent off a few more arrows before getting slightly annoyed with his lack of damage. He suddenly pulled out a red spear and placed it on his bowstring. He pulled it back and silently chanted something. The spear glowed, and Archer let the red weapon fly.
Hercules roared before an explosion happened right as the spear met the ground.
Meanwhile, Ark groaned and pushed himself off the ground once again. He looked up to see Mordred back in the fight while EMIYA tickled Berserker from afar with his arrows.
Caster groans as he lowered his head. He was useless at the moment; his destruction spells won't affect Hercules in the slightest. He needed something new; he needed stronger spells. Suddenly, a memory played through his head.
(Flashblack)
Ark sighed as he finished the master spells. He was exhausted and just wanted to sleep away from his fatigue. But, it seems Fate has other ideas by the sound of footsteps approaching him.
"Well done, my Apprentice," Merlin said, placing a hand on Ark's shoulder, causing the blond male to flinch and shy away from the touch. The Mage was pretty paranoid with Merlin being near him; the reason is that the Wizard tended to transfer some memories about his sex life into his head.
And Merlin's excuses are: "For reference and experience." Ark nearly attacked the man right then and there for that reason but held himself back.
"What do you need, Merlin?" Ark asked, taking a step away from the half Incubus, who simply smiled. "And if it's about you finding a female for me, then forget about it." The Mage quickly added, making the wizard shut up. But after a few seconds, the man smirked.
"Ah yes, I forgot you have a crush on a certain blond-haired Saint and the Alter counterpart." The male tensed up and glared at his teacher. "It seems your past life still influences you." Merlin was greatly amused as he watched Ark's face slowly a dark shade of red.
"Not a word, Merlin." The Mage growled while the Wizard laughed. Letting out a huff, Ark crossed his arms. "Besides asking about my past life, what is it?" Merlin cleared his throat and stood up straight.
The Mage did the same, knowing this is a serious matter. The Wizard has been sending Ark on missions in secret, and it mostly involved monsters that shouldn't be here. It was a good way to get some practice with his spells.
"Is it another monster?" Ark was quick to rush over to his table, which was covered In notes that mostly talked about potions and enchanting. "I've been meaning to test out a few poisons that I've been meaning to get rid of." The Mage turned to see Merlin shaking his head.
"It's not a monster this time, my apprentice." Ark looked confused as he put down a labeled dark green bottle. "No, this is more about you and your spells."
"What of them?" Ark knew he was limited in some way; the Mage has been trying to figure out how he can mold his Magicka into something different. And possibly create different spells from other video games that he has played.
"Ark." Merlin walked past Ark and then looked down at his Apprentice's work table. He looked over the many notes that covered the table. Most of them were ingredients and instructions on what to do. "I've noticed that you are limited to only three elements." Merlin turned towards Ark, who was listening closely to his teacher, which was a first.
"Ya." Ark walked past Merlin and grabbed a piece of paper that was on the floor and handed it to Merlin. "I've tried to expand my arsenal, as you said, but it all failed." Ark sighed in disappointment while his teacher looked over the notes.
"Have you tried tapping into your memories?" Ark gave Merlin a look. "From what I'm seeing, you've tried to constantly create a spell from your thoughts alone; you never once tapped into your memories." Merlin started to walk away from Ark before spinning around to face him.
"Ya? I thought it was all about creativity in creating my very own spells?" Ark received a smack on the head courtesy of Merlin's staff. The Mage grumbled as he rubbed the sore spot on his head.
"Are the spells you doing now created by you?" Ark looked confused and nodded his head only for another smack to stop him. "Wrong, these spells are created by your memories from the video games you played," Merlin said while Ark paused, then nodded his head. "So instead of trying to make your very own spells trying and make one from your memory." Ark watched as Merlin waved his staff, and three targets appeared.
Narrowing his eyes, Ark raised his right arm and closed his eyes. A memory flashed through his eyes. He sat down on the couch in his old household and held a ps4 controller. His body was tense as he controlled his character to roll to the side. Ark's eyes were watching the enemies' movement closely.
The boss's health bar was a single hit point away. And his character was out of healing items. Ark grit his teeth when the boss smacked his character, nearly killing them.
"Come on you mother fucker give me some breathing room," Ark growled as his grip around the controller tightened. The boss lunged forward, and the male saw his chance. His character rolled to the side and raised the staff that rested in their hand. "Crystal soul spear for the win, boys!" Ark shouted as he jumped off the couch and fired the spell.
A large light blue spear made of crystals left the wooden staff and hit the boss, killing it. Ark cheered as he finally beat that boss that's been giving him a hard time for a while. "Yeah, fuck you, Midir!" Ark started laughing like a maniac as he slowly lost his mind.
The memory ended, and Ark couldn't help but laugh as he looked at the three fake targets before him. Glancing at his hand, he frowned. He couldn't use his hand this time; he needed something to channel the spell.
"Here." Ark caught the item Merlin threw at him and looked at it. He blinked; it was a familiar-looking staff that he had seen in a recent game that just came out a few months ago before he died. It was an all-time favorite game, and he didn't regret playing it at all.
Elden Ring.
AN: I've been playing that game a lot, so it was bound to happen eventually. Also, sorry for those who haven't played the game yet. I won't say anything much about the game, but I love the spells in it.
"Merlin, I swear, you've been digging around In my head too much," Ark grumbled as he inspected the staff in his hands. Lusat's glintstone staff. The staff is known for increasing the user's sorcery in favor of using more of the user's FP. A fair trade if Ark had anything to say about it.
The Mage suddenly smirked as he looked at his target and channeled a certain spell within his head. He channeled a large amount of Magicka into his staff and when he was certain it was enough, He waved his staff to the side, and not a second later a large crystal spear left the staff and struck the target, instantly destroying it.
"Well, it seems you have a lot more spells to Master, my apprentice," Merlin said while Ark only smiled at him as he held onto the staff tightly.
"It would appear so Merlin." Ark twirled his brand new staff around his fingers and knew he was only scratching the surface of his magic. "It would appear so." The blond male repeated.
(Flashback over)
Ark opened his eyes and grinned. He painfully pushed himself off the ground and held out his left hand. His staff appeared, which he grabbed without hesitation. Spinning it around his fingers, he prepared the next batch of spells.
He waited for a second, and the moment his allies were pushed back, he released his spell. The crystal soul spear flew out of his staff and struck the Berserker with a surprising force knocking the Demi-God back slightly.
Mordred looked back to see her brother holding an unusual-looking staff and knew better not to question what he had just done.
Ark waved his staff again, and this time, five light blue orbs made of crystals appeared above his head. The Mage looked at his sister and nodded. The Knight nodded back and faced Berserker who was fighting Archer currently.
"We will deal with Archer after this," Ark said towards his sibling telepathically, who grinned and glanced at her brother before charging forward. Caster narrowed his eyes and watched the battle closely as he started to slowly heal his body.
It seems Archer and Mordred were able to knock off a few lives. Ark was able to knock off three when he first met Hercules, but he needed to figure out how many times the two allies killed him.
"Mordred, how many times did you and Archer kill Berserker?" Ark finished healing and jumped back into the fray. His mini crystal soul spears a shot towards Berserker, all of them smacking against his chest.
"I don't know, maybe four?" Mordred said, sounding a bit confused. "How many lives does he have?"
"About 12," Ark said casually as he kept his distance and kept firing mini soul spears which honed it on the large man.
"12!" Mordred shouted, making Ark flinch as he jumped back and fired off a large soul spear, knocking Hercules back, keeping his distance knowing full well he won't be able to take another hit like that.
Ark was currently breathing heavily thanks to his constant usage of spells that put a strain on his magic reserves. A bit of sweat rolled down the side of his aching head. The headache was slowly progressively getting worse as the battle went on.
"Ark, are you ok?" Mordred tried not to sound concerned, but the Mage knew she was worried.
"I'm fine, stay focused, don't worry about me," Ark said as he glanced over to Illyasviel, who was watching Berserker closely. She looked ready to use a command seal and end this fight. "I killed Hercules three times already, and if you and Archer killed him four times, then that leaves him with 5 more lives..." Ark said before he kneeled, trying to steady his breathing.
His brain was hurting now, and it was becoming harder to concentrate.
"Ark!" Mordred shouted before blocking an attack and pushing it back. "Quit being weak and get back on your feet!" The Knight of treachery shouted before charging Berserker once more with sparks of Prana coming off her body.
"Thanks for the encouragement," Ark mumbled before looking up to see Mordred get knocked back once more along with Archer, who narrowed his eyes. "I think I have enough for one more spell." Ark grit his teeth and got up; he watched the battle.
Illyasviel saw that Caster is weak and knew what needed to be done.
"Caster is weak, Berserker, by my command seal, kill Caster!" Illyasviel shouted as the second seal disappeared. Hercules roared and charged past the duo and towards the vulnerable Caster.
"Ark!" Mordred shouted, chasing after the large man. Archer did the same getting an arrow ready.
Ark saw this and sighed. he narrowed his eyes and pulled back his staff. A swirl of blue energy appeared at the tip of his staff. Illyasviel took a step back at the sheer amount of magic being built up and knew it was a large attack.
Hercules jumped in the air, bringing down his large weapon. Ark, however, released his spell just in a nick of time.
"SOUL STREAM!" Ark shouted, launching a large blue and white ray towards Berserker engulfing the man. After a few seconds, the spell died down. Ark slumped forward and hit the ground with a thud. Berserker was nowhere in sight, but he was still alive. Illyasviel knows he is still alive.
Mordred slid beside Ark and picked him off the ground. She looked at Archer before looking at Illyasviel, who was frowning. The Knight glanced at Archer and knew what needed to be done. It was better to get it done now than later.
EMIYA approached the siblings and stared at the duo. He looked to the side and spotted Illyasviel. Suddenly, his dangers' sense went off, and before he could move, a sword pierced his chest, going through his heart and out his back.
Archer coughed up blood and looked down to see a familiar sword going through his chest. Glancing up, he spotted the blond female staring at him before she ripped the sword out of his chest. EMIYA fell to his knees and tried to contact Rin, but he was failing to do so.
"And that's another servant down." Mordred said, grinning. Archer glared at her before falling forward. "It was bound to happen; we just struck first." The Knight said just as EMIYA disappeared in golden specs.
Illyasviel was surprised for the allies to suddenly turn on each other, but at the same time, she wasn't all that surprised; it was bound to happen.
She watched as the blond Knight picked up her fellow blond and ran away. Berserker was slowly to appear right behind her growling.
"Don't worry, Berserker; we still have the Advantage." Illyasviel said before walking away. Meanwhile, Mordred looked down at Ark as she ran towards the only safe area back to Rin's house.
Meanwhile, Rin paused and looked down at her hand to stare at the command seals. Gray looked up from her meal a little confused.
"Rin?" The black haired girl looked at her fellow female before she stood up and walked towards her room. "Rin, what's wrong?" No response, only the sound of a door closing and silence filled the room.
Gray looked down at her own command seals, and the image of Ark popped in her head. She was about to call him only for the front door to burst open, making her look to see an unconscious Ark and exhausted Mordred.
"Hey kid, we're back, and we have some bad news." Mordred said while Gray looked around for Archer. "Berserker killed Archer." Mordred said simply before throwing Ark on the couch who groaned and shifted around slightly as his armor disappeared. "We'll win this Grail war kid, don't worry." Gray opened her mouth only for Mordred's armor to disappear, leaving her in her casual clothes.
And without warning, she threw herself on top of Ark, who grunts slightly before wrapping an arm around his sister and holding her close.
Gray didn't know what to say. Rin lost her Servant to Berserker; now, she was servantless, meaning she is out of the war, so that only leaves Berserker and Saber.
The war is almost over.
