The Ashen Demon has fallen after failing to save Garreg Mach from the Imperial Army, but she gets another chance to save a world that's about to have a global conflict of its own. Chapter 6: The World of Remnant

Author's Notes: Okay, before i start, sorry if this chapter took a while, i DID say that my upload schedule was going to be inconsistent, but i didn't expect this! So try to forgive me for that, i was kinda busy with some other stuff back home. But anyways, let's get down to the questions i KNOW people have asked or WILL ask about the last chapter!

1: How come Ozpin already knows that Blake is a Faunus & why do they know each other personally to the point of possibly being collegues? In this Xover AU, Ozpin is the reason why Blake is even able to ENROLL at Beacon to begin with. Correct me in the comments if i'm wrong, but i don't think we ever found out HOW did Blake enroll at Beacon. She definitely didn't ask her parents since it was made clear in V4 that she hasn't seen them in years! probably since Ghira stepped down, which was approximately 5 years prior to RWBY V1, so i KINDA had to write a way for her to enroll myself. The actual reason BEHIND why Ozpin enrolled Blake will be revealed when the Class learns about her Faunus Heritage.

2: Why is Ruby so powerful here? Simple, she SHOULD be! In canon, Ruby shows immense skill & utter brutallity against the creatures of Grimm, yet whenever she faces an actual person, she ALWAYS gets screwed over. In fact, she hasn't had a legitimate a 1v1 canon victory ONCE! WEISS has a higher win record than Ruby in 1V1 matches & she's easily the weakest of Team RWBY interms of combat since Weiss is more of a Mage/Support type fighter. & Like how i decided to make Ruby more like Sonic so that it's makes it easier for ME since it's more flexible to write a Flat Character Arc MC in long running series like RWBY, i also decided to make her more powerful & competent as a fighter... Besides, it's more fun that way & it actually makes both her V1 & V4 shorts more believable. But to those thinking that i'll make her a good close range fighter or a perfect fighter?... Don't get your hopes up, i don't wanna make Ruby OP & have no actual flaws & never lose, that's just boring (Unless you're name is Saitama, which is kinda the point) so don't expect her to win every fight, let alone fight well without a weapon in hand.

3: Why aren't Ren & Nora here outside of the final fight where they finally talk? Because i wanted to focus mainly on Team RWBY during the Trials of Emerald Valley & it was hard for me to put JNPR in without feeling shoehorned... Hell, i almost left the Jaune & Pyrrha scene off-screen before deciding to change my mind since i wanted to start developing their relationship soon... & Before anyone asks, NO! no Jaune swooming over Weiss like he did in canon, that was both annoying & dumb, you could easily remove those scenes or replace them with something else & nothing major would be changed... But it will still take a while for Jaune to "Take the hint" so to say, same with Pyrrha. But the good news is that Team JNPR finally has some spotlight in this new chapter, so i hope it's a good start since i wanna do some stuff with them as well.

Anyways, i think that's all of the ones i can think off on the top of my head, i'll answer any question you guys have for me, just don't be an ass about it, gotta stay civil & respectful here folks, brace yourselves for this is yet another LONGASS chapter & like always.

The World of Remnant, it is a mystical land that resembles the Land of Fódlan quite a bit. Much like the home world of our Ashen Demon, Remnant is divided into many Lands & Nations, as well as being "protected" by the gods themselves. The Lands of Remnant are as followed: Sanus; the largest continent in all of Remnant, it stretches from the center of the planet all the way to West. It is so large that it does not only house 2 of the 4 Nations of Remnant, but it is also cut in half by a series of very tall, dangerous mountains that reaches as high as the clouds themselves. Western Sanus is mostly a land of desert & rocky terrains, filled with some of the most dangerous Grimm & warriors in all of Remnant; as opposed to Eastern Sanus which is rich in greenery & very peaceful for the most part, it's definitely the most "Normal" of the many Lands of Remnant.

The second Land we'll talk about will be Anima, a very large & diverse continent that resides in the far East of the planet. It is divided into 3 sections; the Northern arctic mountains & forests, the dangerous canyons & cliffs that reside in the far East of Anima & finally we have the center & Southwest of Anima, which is rich in greenery. But unlike Eastern Sanus, it's anything but peaceful due to how many bandit tribes reside in those plains, along with the many dangerous species of Grimm that live in that Land.

Next is the arctic continent of Solitas which resides in the Northeast, the coldest & arguably the hardest place to live in between 3 of the previously established Lands of Remnant. Solitas has very few residential locations due to how hard it is to survive & build civilizations in a place that's both very cold & filled with Grimm that are extinct in other parts of the world, due to lacking the required temperature for them to survive & reproduce; it is also where most of the Dust is found through its many mines. Thanks to the S.D.C., the Dust from Atlas can be distributed throughout the rest of the world.

Now let us talk about a very weird Land which resides in the Southeast of Remnant: The Menagerie Archipelago. The only Land with a Nation that is not part of Remnant's United Nation, it is a series of islands that circle around a small continent that's mostly deadly desert, even deadlier than Western Sanus' deserts. That is where the remaining Faunus reside; a species of Humans with Animalistic traits that suffer prejudice, even after thousands of years of subjugation.

Last but not least; The Land of Darkness, the resting place to where "The Holy War" have reached its climax over a thousand years ago & where the Nations of Remnant that we know of today were founded. The land of Darkness is where the Grimm come from, no one has come out of those lands alive ever since The Holy War & none have dared to ever go there to begin with, given its gruesome history.

Now that we have discussed the Lands of Remnant in detail, let us talk about the many Nations that rule over these many Lands. We'll begin with The Kingdom of Vale, the first & largest of the 4 Nations of Remnant; to the point that the entire calendar is named after it. It is a large Kingdom with many towns & villages, all surrounded & protected by the many Huntsmen & Huntresses that are trained in the Kingdom Capital of Beacon; which is also where Beacon Academy is located. Their current King: Headmaster Ozpin is a kind & gentle ruler who always fight to preserve the lives & happiness of his people.

Next is The Dukedom of Mistral; a Nation that's constantly going through civil conflict through the 3 settlements that reside in each of the 3 sections of Anima; the North is where the City of Argus is located. On the South & most of West of Anima, we have the large Village of Kushinashi & at the Eastern side of Anima, we have the Zhou Dynasty. The capital of the Dukedom of Mistral: Haven; resides right at the center of these 3 settlements, which is not only where Haven Academy is located, but is also what keeps the 3 settlements from fully taking control of all of Anima. The head Duke of Mistral: Leonardo Lionheart is a very calm & pacifistic man who despises the conflict going at his Land & is trying to do what he can to stop all of this meaningless bloodshed, the Huntsmen of Mistral are trained like traditional feudal Dynasty Warlords, Samurais & Ninjas; making it the most diverse of the Nations when culture & Huntsmen are involved.

Our next stop is The Atlesian Empire; previously known as The Mantlean Empire prior to The Great War 80 years ago. It was previously ruled by the Royal Family of Lawine, that was died after The Great War over 80 years ago due to Emperor Hagel's attempt to conquer the world, who's nowadays seen as a tyrant by many & for good reason. However, one of the noble families of Mantle at the time: The Schnee Family, which was currently being led by Nicholas Schnee I, have rebelled against the emperor & sided with Vale to help him cut down the tyrannical Emperor; the Schnee family was the new Imperial Royal Family ever since, with Nicholas Schnee I as the new Emperor of the now reforming Mantlean Empire. Unfortunately, some dumbass thought that it would be a brilliant idea to raise The Imperial Capital of Atlas to the sky, not only separating the Empire from its Capital City, but also create a massive political divide that is still going strong to this day; it is also where Faunus Prejudice is at its worse through many acts of slavery & labor work. After the unfortunate death of Nicholas Schnee II 5 years ago, his throne was taken by his best friend: James Ironwood; the Headmaster of Atlas Academy & the Fleet General of The Atlesian Military. But since he's not from The Imperial Lineage, he can't truly take the crown as Emperor of Atlas & is only a substitute Emperor for the moment. The current head of the S.D.C. is Jacques G. Schnee; he is a cruel man who's only in it for himself & doesn't care how many lives he'll ruin to get what he wants. The Atlesian Empire is ruled through authoritarian & militarism rule, as the Huntsmen are trained as knights & soldiers that will only serve the Empire & nobody else.

The final Nation of the R.U.N. (Remnant's United Nation) is a nation not ruled by Kings, Emperors or Dukes, but rather through a League of Tribal Lords that rule the Nation through cooperation & coexistence; aptly named The Vacuan Alliance, or Vácuo for short. Vácuo as a very simple code; if you're strong, you're welcomed to stay. Vácuo is a Nation where the nature, determination & prowess of the individual is valued over their race or nationality. Since it resides on the deserts of Western Sanus, it is very difficult to survive in that Land, which is why is ruled by a League of Nobles which consists of the many heads of the Tribes that live & protect Vácuo. The capital of Vácuo: The City of Shade is the only true city of The Vacuan Alliance, as oppose to all other settlements which are either villages or very small towns. The Huntsmen & Huntresses of Vácuo are trained since a very young age, so that they can quickly adapt to the harsh conditions of the cruel desert that surrounds them; they're then trained by The Vacuan Alliance Leader & Headmaster of Shade Academy: Hanon Theodore into becoming arguably the most powerful Huntsmen & Huntresses of the 4 Nations of Remnant.

& Like the Menagerie Archipelago, there is another Nation that's not a part of the R.U.N., The Village of Kuo Kuana. That is where the remaining Faunus reside after the Great War, it is also where the Royal Family of Belladonna resides; with Khali Belladonna being the current ruler of Kuo Kuana, she's widely known as The Lady of the Faunus. Many years ago, Kuo Kuana was large enough to be amongst the R.U.N. itself, until the Great War occurred & caused almost all Faunus life to be completely wiped out of the face of Remnant by the late Mantlean Emperor: Hagel Lawine & his attempts of trying to unify the world in his corrupt & disgusting views; as well for being accused for a crime that they did not commit, they're still suffering because of that man's actions to this day. & The current actions of the White Fang don't help much either; going for a more radical & violent approach as oppose to achieve Faunus rights & equality through more peaceful methods like they have 5 years prior.

After many years of being consumed by war & turmoil, the Nations of Remnant now exist in relative harmony, with no signs of a great conflict to come & they'll be living happily ever after… Unless of course, some "Dark Goddess" that supposably died over 1000 years ago was suddenly revealed to not be dead after all & started an underground turmoil that would make the R.U.N fight against one another yet again. But how the hell would that even be possible? The world is in an era of peace, after all... Or is it?!

After passing through the test, the newly formed Team JNPR begins their first day as students of Beacon Academy… some more excited than others… Nora Valkyrie wakes up & begins bouncing around while screaming from the top of her lungs so early in the day, causing her partner to wake up from her loud non-stop talking.

Nora: Oh my god, I can't believe it! We're here! We're actually here! Ren, we made it into Beacon & we're now part of an awesome team! Isn't this incredible?! We get our own room, we get to live with 2 cool people, we get free food, this is awesome!

Ren groans while he slowly wakes up because of his childhood friend's (& love interest) constant shouting from how excited she is right now. He just ignores her while he's slowly waking up & doing his early morning routines as Nora keeps talking to no end.

Nora: Since it's Sunday today, we technically have a free day for ourselves. What do you wanna do today, Ren? Go to the training grounds & fight some of the higher classmen? Go to somewhere around campus & fight some Grimm? Hell, I'm even open to go to that big library that they apparently have in the school grounds!

Ren just adjusts his attire while looking at himself in the mirror to make sure everything's as it should be before answering his partner.

Ren: Look Nora, I understand your excitement over what happened as of late, but you really need to calm down. Especially when it's so early in the morning, we're sharing a room with 2 more people now, remember? You can make so much noise around school grounds like you can around everywhere else!

Nora: Nah, it's fine! Jaune & Pyrrha are still fast asleep, see?

Ren then looks at the other bunk bed & believing or not, Nora's right. They are still fast asleep; maybe they have experience with loud roommates in the past & are used to it?

Ren: Still, do try to not cause too many scenes here, alright? We don't have anywhere else to go, this place will be the best home we'll get in a long time from now.

Nora then looks down sadly, feeling a little bad after Ren explained the situation & remembering that they don't have a home anymore, or a family to go back to for that matter, all they have now is each other.

Nora: A-… Alright, you're right… I shouldn't do anything that might get us into too much trouble, I'm sorry.

Ren smiles softly at her partner as he goes to head-pat her & cheer her up a little bit.

Ren: Come on, Nora. Don't give me that look, ya'know I'm not mad at you. How about this? After those 2 wake up & get themselves ready, I can cook breakfast for the 4 of us; what do you say?

Nora looks back at Ren while gasping in excitement & looking at him with sparkly eyes.

Nora: Really? You're the best, Ren! I'm sure Jaune & Pyrrha will love your cooking too.

Ren: Is that so? I'm glad to hear that.

As Ren & Nora are starting their day, we cut to Team RWBY, with the Rose Xiao-Long sisters slowly waking up in their usual time, given how they always woke up early back in their years of training.

Ruby: *Yawns* Boy, that was a good night's rest! Way better than sleeping on hard floor like last night, right sis?

Both of the girls stretch their arms as they sit back up from their beds.

Yang: Heh, you tell me. I'm super glad that we're on the same team, mostly because I can make sure you stay out of trouble.

Ruby: *Huffs* Remind me again who trashed an entire bar-club last week?

Yang: Hey, they started it! I was gonna leave them the hell alone if their owner didn't try to hit on me or answered my questions honestly!

Ruby just rolls her eyes as she gets out of bed & stretches her arms & legs a little bit, Yang does the same before she hits to the bathroom to be the first one to brush her teeth. Ruby thinks of opening the curtains to get that sweet ray of sunlight through her new room, but she doesn't want to wake up her teammates just yet; so she decided to go to one of the tables, grab a piece of paper & started writing something down. After Yang was done with her turn in the bathroom, she was about to go to tell Ruby that it's her turn to brush her teeth.

Yang: Alright Rubes, I'm done. You can go now if you wa- huh?

Yang stops herself from talking as she spots Ruby doing something on the desk.

Yang: What'ya doing there, sis?

Ruby: *Looks at Yang* Oh, hey Yang. I'm just writing a letter to those back in Patch, I promised that I'd send them one after we pass the trials yesterday & now, I'm taking that off my shoulders & give them all the good news.

Yang: *Smiles* Heh, you're such a sappy dork.

Ruby: Say what you want, I don't care! It's just- I've moved 2 years to get to Beacon as I am now, I kinda feel guilty for leaving some of them behind…

Yang goes to her sister & wraps her arms around her shoulders & lays her chin on top of Ruby's head, hugging her from behind.

Yang: I know, Ruby… I know… But I know you're gonna be great as both a Huntress in Training of Beacon academy & as the Leader of Team RWBY; I know Mom would be really proud of you if she could see you right now.

Ruby: *Looks at Yang* You really think so?

Yang nods before giving her little sister a quick peck on the head as she gets ready to have herself dressed for the day.

Yang: Anyways, I might go to the training grounds & work out for the day since it's Sunday today. What about you? any plans for today?

As the Rose Xiao-Long sisters keep conversing, we cut to about 2-3 hours later where Byleth is at the library reading some books about the lore of Remnant alongside Sothis. What they find is truly a discovery to behold, despite technically knowing a good chunk of Remnant's history already thanks to Byleth's counterparts that send them here. Then again, Byleth was always a bit of a scholar, even back at Garreg Mach Monastery.

Sothis: Say, doesn't a lot of this stuff sound early similar to Fódlan's history a little bit? This "Holy War" that occurred over 1000 years ago between humans & a "Deity" sounds a lot like the War of Heroes, doesn't it? It even ends with the Nations slowly being founded as the years go by.

Byleth: Yeah, they sound so alike. The war between Nemesis: The King of Liberation & The 10 Elites that would eventually become the ancestors of our old friends, against Saint Seiros & The 4 Saints that would eventually form The Church of Seiros; both of these wars sound oddly familiar. It all started with the fall of what it was once a great & powerful nation & their people, the forces that fought against both Nemesis & this Deity were a small group of Crusaders being led by one powerful warrior, who was the one who ended the war by cutting down that one that caused so much destruction during this war & both of these global conflicts even ended exactly 1180~ years ago, too. As for how each Nation was founded, it was caused by many wars & divisions, not so different from how the Nations of Fódlan were founded. The Holy Kingdom of Faerghus was founded after a war between the current Adrestian Emperor of the time & Loog: The King of Lions, while the Leicester Alliance was founded after some nobles of the Kingdom wanted something different, Remnant isn't so different from the looks of it.

Byleth sighs as she remanences her time with the Golden Deer, mainly with Claude. She can't help but think how they are doing now; they were fighting a huge war when she "died" back at Garreg Mach Monastery. Byleth then puts the book away for a moment to look at the ceiling, thinking about her students.

Byleth: I wonder how my students would get along with these kids, the class would sure as hell be a lot more chaotic than it was already.

Sothis thinks of what Byleth just asks & tries to answer her question little by little.

Sothis: Well, for starters: Claude would be pretty interested in Ruby once he found out how important Silver Eyes are, but I'm sure they'd be fast friends. Lorenz & Weiss would probably get along, but for the wrong reasons. Blake would probably stay with Lysithea since they're both bookworms & I can see Yang hanging out with Leonie a lot, they're both very tomboyish & have that "Tough Attitude", ya'know?

Byleth: *Chuckles* Look at you talking so earnestly & passionate about my kids.

Sothis: Hey! those rambunctious brats are my kids too, ya'know!

Byleth: *Chuckles* Yes, I know. As for JNPR, I'm not very sure since I don't know them as well as Team RWBY… Jaune & Ignatz might get along nicely, Jaune gives me the feeling that he has a hidden artistic talent of sorts. Nora might make Hilda a little more willing to be less lazy. Pyrrha would definitely admire Raphael & find his optimism & caring attitude quite charming & endearing, giving her dynamic with Jaune so far & that just leaves Ren & Marianne, the quiet ones of their respective teams… Oh! Ruby would most certainly love to have Flayn as her little sister, those 2 would be perfect together!

Sothis: *Smirks* Assuming Seteth isn't overbearing with her as well.

Byleth: Oh, I think I can keep our favorite Wyvern Rider in a tight leash in those cases.

Sothis just can't help but laugh at Byleth's response; ever since she got a body of her own, Sothis was having so much fun! Talking to Byleth through spirit was one thing, but actually being in the same room as her?! This was new & she loves every moment of it, even if she's still not fully used to the role of "Byleth's Little Sister".

Byleth is also glad to have Sothis by her side on this new life as well, she probably wouldn't know what to do in Remnant without Sothis' emotional support & company.

Byleth: In all seriousness; Thank you Sothis. I'm really happy to have you back.

Sothis: *Smirks* Well, you're basically a child who always needs me to hold your hand. But even so, I'm glad that we can stay like this again… no, not "again"; but rather start anew. Having a body of my own feels- so good! I was missing out so much!

Byleth: *Chuckles* You're certainly having a lot of fun.

As they keep reading the respective books that they got earlier, Glynda & Gayelette spot them from afar & go towards them both.

Glynda: Well, it's good to see that you're both so dedicated in the pursuit of knowledge.

Byleth takes her eyes off her book before looking at her 2 guests, with Glynda being as stoic & no nonsense as always, while Gayelette is being pretty cheerful in seeing them.

Byleth: Oh, Glynda. Well, I was always a bit of a bookwork; I lost count on how many hours I would usually spend in a single book.

Glynda: I never would've guessed, mind if we join you for a moment?

Byleth: No, go ahead.

Glynda & Gayelette sit down with Byleth & Sothis, opening some books of their own to begin reading. Glynda is reading one about human psychology & how to properly deal with mental issues, while Gayelette is reading a fairy tale called "The Radiant Hero, The Silver Maiden & The War of Order & Chaos". A tale about a young boy who built a bridge between Humans & Faunus through the help of his band of mercenaries, royal knights, tribes of Faunus & a brigade of freedom fighters lead by a young woman with silver hair through a war that almost destroyed the world itself.

Gayelette: So, Prof. Byleth. Where have you started getting into literature?

Byleth: I've read books before, but it's been only a few years that I was able to fully enjoy them… At least, ever since my Mother's passing.

Gayelette: Oh, did she read you Fairy Tales when you were a child?

Byleth: Nope! She was never one to tell me such stories, neither was our Father. We've spent most of our time during training & trying to survive.

Gayelette: I- I see… Also, I'm sorry about you're late Mother…

Glynda places a hand on her daughter's shoulder in an attempt to comfort her before she asks Byleth a question herself.

Glynda: My condolences to you both as well, family is something that should be valued greatly. But if I may ask, what got you to become a fighter yourself? You're clearly not a Huntress & you've told His Majesty that you never attended a Combat School or was a Huntsmen Academy.

Byleth: It was mostly for survival, as well as to make sure I can keep my sword in check.

Glynda: Your sword, eh? Tell me, is it truly cursed like you said it was?

Byleth: No idea, if I'm being honest… But whether or not The Sword of the Creator is truly cursed, I'm not risking finding it out. Only I'm allowed to wield this blade, let alone touch it without any repercussions.

Gayelette: Wait, wouldn't that mean that Sothis could wield it too? Since you both share the same Mother?

Sothis: Whether or not I can wield it is irrelevant, I'm not a fighter like Byleth.

Glynda: I see, I can understand that point of view. If that sword of yours truly is cursed, then it would be best to keep it with you at all times. Do not let any of the students lay a finger on it, they're always excited about seeing new weapons.

Byleth: *Smiles* Believe me, I'm well aware.

Glynda: Well then, answer me this. You were a mercenary before coming here, correct? May I ask if you've ever-… Killed someone before in your life?

Sothis looks at Byleth worryingly, Byleth is rather infamous for killing her enemies without a shred of emotion; that's what got her title as "The Ashen Demon" back at Fódlan. So she doesn't fully know if Byleth will be honest with Glynda with this one, who's taking a deep breath before she answers her question.

Byleth: Yes… I have. I've killed many people as a mercenary, to the point where it's pretty much second nature to me…

Glynda: I see, does any of that- effect you, in some way?

Byleth: Not really, it was a necessary evil in order to survive. Is that a problem, Glynda?

Glynda: Well, after hearing that you're someone who kills your enemies without even batting an eye, I certainly feel a lot more uncomfortable in letting you become a teacher for these kids. They're here to become protectors of the world, not cold-blooded murderers… Remember that, professor.

Gayelette: Actually, I just realized something. You said to His Majesty that your Father hated Huntsmen Academies for seeing it as a way to raise "Child Soldiers" & how hypocritical the Huntsmen are in his eyes, so why did you take on a role as a teacher in a Huntsmen Academy? I'm afraid I don't quite understand the logic behind your decision.

Byleth thought of what Gayelette just asked her & in a sense, she was right. Jeralt never told Byleth about- well, ANYTHING about the bigger history about Fódlan; nothing about the Church of Seiros, the 3 Nations in greater detail, the Heroes' Relics, Crests, nothing! & After fusing with Sothis & learning the truth of Rhea before Edelgard attacked Garreg Mach, it's no wonder her Father didn't want her daughter to get involved with ANYTHING that could get the attention of Rhea & the Church of Seiros. But she can't tell her the truth, otherwise it'd blow their cover; so Byleth tries to make something up.

Byleth: I don't know… I guess I just wanted to see if he was right or not, to see if I could get a different perspective from him.

Gayelette looks at Byleth confusingly before looking back at her Mother with the same expression, who keeps an eye on the Ashen Demon. It was kinda obvious that Byleth was lying, she was lying about a lot of things. So that begs the question, who really is Byleth Eisner? Is she an enemy or an ally? Then she remembers something that she forgot to ask for a while now, Byleth's Aura & Semblance; assuming she had either to begin with.

Glynda: Actually, I just remembered something. Byleth, do you have a Semblance? Or your Aura unlocked for that matter? Every Huntress must have both, after all.

Shit! Glynda's right! How could she have been so stupid?! She's been in Remnant for 3 days now & she didn't think about her Aura, she didn't unlock it as of yet! This is bad, this is REALLY bad! While Byleth tries to keep a level head, she's sweating on the inside; same with her "Little Sister": Sothis.

Byleth: No, I don't have a Semblance; nor have I unlocked my Aura.

Glynda: That's odd, wasn't this "Jeralt" fellow a former Huntsmen himself? He never bothered to unlock your Aura at all?

Byleth: Nope, he didn't. The lack of Aura was never an issue for me, though.

Glynda & Gayelette widen her eyes in pure shock at the revelation. Byleth didn't have her Aura unlocked & it apparently wasn't an issue with her? She certainly LOOKS very strong, so how come she doesn't have Aura? It made no goddamn sense!

Gayelette: "N- not an issue"?! Wow, you must be really strong, Prof. Byleth.

Glynda: *Clears her throat* Well, if it pleases you, I can unlock your Aura for you.

Byleth: You could do that?

Glynda nods as she stands up & motions Byleth to stand up & follow her, the library isn't a very fitting place for them to do something like this.

Glynda: Will you 2 wait here? We'll be right back.

After Sothis & Gayelette nodded, Glynda took Byleth outside of the library & started taking her through the school hallways; perhaps they could use the training grounds for a moment & Glynda could also see Byleth in action as well.

Glynda: We're going to the training grounds to unlock your Aura; I believe that will be a better suiting location for you. I'd also like to see some of your battle capabilities.

Byleth: Uh~, alright. But won't my physical test be coming in a few days?

Glynda: Yes, it will. But it wouldn't hurt to have a little preview, will that be an issue?

Byleth knew that Glynda wanted to see how capable she is just so she can study her, Glynda didn't trust Byleth & it shows. Alright, Glynda wants to see how good Byleth is? Then she'll gladly take this little test of hers!

Byleth: Not at all, I was starting to feel a little rusty after not getting to fight in a while.

Glynda: *Smirks* Good!

Cut to the training grounds where Glynda is unlocking Byleth's Aura the same way Pyrrha unlocked Jaune's Aura at Emerald Valley. Much like Jaune, Byleth has a lot of Aura & as Glynda is finishing the process of unlocking her Aura, a greenish emerald light surrounds Byleth. This power, this feeling, it's incredible! It's almost like when she merged with Sothis to defeat Solon at the Sealed Forest! When Glynda is finished, she falls to her knees while trying to catch her breath; with Byleth helping her get up.

Byleth: Woah, Glynda! Are you alright?!

Glynda: *Panting heavily* I- I'm alright, my apologies… It's been a while since I've done this, you have an immense amount of Aura… I've never seen so much power coming out of someone before in my life.

After helping Glynda get back up to her feet, Byleth looks at her hands which are now covered in her Aura; this power was great indeed. She knows now that Aura is used both as a forcefield & as a way to heal injuries a lot quicker. Those who are REALLY skilled in Aura like Pyrrha & Ruby can apparently fire energy waves with their Aura; even in a new world entirely, Byleth is still a student at heart.

Byleth: Amazing, so this is the physical manifestation of my soul… I never knew I had so much of it, I feel so much stronger now!

Glynda: That's good, it means that your true potential is still there. Now then, care to show me what you can do?

Byleth: *Smirks* With pleasure!

Glynda then steps away & signals Byleth to begin. She draws The Sword of the Creator & takes her stance; after taking a deep breath, she does an upward slash that's followed up by an aerial slash, she keeps swinging her sword around like a swordmaster that has had years of experience with their blade. After a while, Byleth decides to show off a little more & activate the chain whip function of her sword, which extends its range by quite a lot; Byleth then starts dancing around the training grounds while swinging The Sword of the Creator in its chain whip form with such finesse & elegance that Glynda can't help but feel at awe from what she's witnessing. To finish things up, Byleth jumps high in the air as she starts swinging around her weapon with such speed that it almost creates a ball-like shield around her & finishes it off by diving back down & slamming the blade to the ground, leaving a few cuts on where it hit. As Byleth sheathes back her sword, Glynda can't help but to clap her hands in amazement.

Glynda: T- that was incredible! I've never seen such skill with a sword-whip before! Tell me, where did you learn to do that? Was it your father?

Byleth: *Shakes her head* Nope, I'm is self-taught; although he did teach me the basics of swordsmanship. To be honest, I wasn't even getting serious just now.

Glynda: I beg your pardon?! You were holding back?!

Byleth: Yup, kinda hard to show off when I don't have someone to fight. Is that all?

Glynda widens her eyes in shock at what she just witnessed & now learning that Byleth wasn't even taking this test seriously, she was holding back! Impossible, there's no way she can be this skilled & powerful, could it?! She must report this to Ozpin as soon as possible! Glynda adjusts her glasses & clears her throat before answering Byleth.

Glynda: Y- Yes, that is all! thank you for your time, Prof. Eisner; you may go.

Byleth nodded before leaving the training grounds, Glynda immediately took her scroll & called Ozpin to give him a report about what she just witnessed, this was way more than the both of them have first imagined.

Finally, around 8 AM at the dining hall, both Teams RWBY & JNPR were all up & ready go to; they were having some of Ren's home cooking for breakfast, his food is delicious! They were eating fried pancakes, bacon & eggs for breakfast, except for Blake, who ate fish food & was drinking some tea. Nora was right, the teens loved this food.

Ruby: *Hums* This food is amazing~! thanks for cooking breakfast for us, Ren.

Jaune: Yeah, man. I've never eaten pancakes this delicious before in my life!

The teens keep on eating as Ren has a small smile forming on his face, feeling happy that his new classmates are enjoying his food. That's where he spots Byleth & Sothis coming at their direction.

Ren: Ah, so you must be Prof. Eisner, correct? We haven't met each other in person before, have we? My name is Lie Ren, it's an honor to meet you.

Nora (Mouth full of Pancakes): & I'm Nora Valkyrie! It's nice to meet you, Teach!

Byleth looks at both Ren & Nora, one looks like a silent, stoic & reserved young man while the other is a hyperactive small girl who seems to be hiding a lot of power. Nora kinda reminded Byleth of Caspar, who's also a headstrong fighter who ate a lot… As well as being very loud & lacking manners; but Byleth can't help but smile at the young Valkyrie. As for Ren, he kinda reminded her of Dedue of the Blue Lion House; both are stoic figures who are very quiet & reserved & are quite the cooks themselves. Although the difference is that Dedue is a giant 2+ meter tall giant of a man who can take hits like a mad lad, while Ren looks like a trickster or a thief like fighter. While Byleth shares a nice moment of silence, she can hear Weiss scold Nora for talking with her mouth full.

Weiss: Yuck! Nora, don't eat with your mouth full, it's disgusting! Moreover, how come you sisters can eat like that & stay in good shape?

Weiss glares at the Rose Xiao-Long sisters who are also stuffing themselves with food. They look at each other confusingly before Ruby swallowed her food to answer Weiss.

Ruby: We trained hard ever since we were small kids, so it was best that we always ate a lot beforehand so that we can burn lots of calories.

Weiss: Even so, could you please show some table manners?! This isn't your house!

Ruby: Yeesh, can't we enjoy food without having someone bothering us?!

Byleth: Speaking of food, may we sit & eat with you all? I haven't had breakfast yet.

Ren: *Nods with a smile* Of course, there's more than enough for all of us.

Byleth bows in gratitude before she sits down next to Ruby alongside Sothis, Ren goes off to get some food for the girls as the classmates begin chatting with their new teacher.

Nora: *Swallows her food* So, you took the role as a professor here, huh? But you look so young, almost a few years older than us.

Byleth: You're correct on that, yes. I'm only 21 years old, my sister Sothis is currently 14. I understand how you might feel, but I wouldn't mind if you all treated me as a friend.

Nora: Really? Well, it's good to see that you're not like that Glynda woman… She's scary!

Weiss: Nora, show some respect, will you?! & What did I say about table manners?

Jaune: Wait, didn't you butt heads with Prof. Byleth a few times already?

Weiss just looks away huffing, not wanting to deal with Jaune right now.

Jaune: In any case, if Prof. Byleth says that she doesn't mind, I guess we could treat her like one of us.

Ruby: Yeah! You don't have to be all by yourself, you're at Beacon now! You & Sothis are more than welcome to hang out with us, this is our home now!

As Ruby says that, Nora takes a notice of Sothis & like Yang, she thinks she's absolutely adorable. (Although to be fair, she's not wrong.) She tries to scooch over & take the small goddess into a bone-crushing hug like Yang, but she stopped her from doing so.

Sothis: Oh, hell no! I am not going through this again, the blond bimbo already did it with me a few days ago & I'm not in the mood for it right now!

Yang: "Blond Bimbo"?!

Nora: Ah~, but you're so cute! Can't I just hold in my arms you just~ once? Please~?

Sothis: No!

Nora looks down disappointed, with Pyrrha head-patting the tiny gingerbread. Byleth then calms Sothis down & explains the situation to Nora.

Byleth: I'm sorry about that, Nora. Sothis isn't fond of human touch all that much, don't take it personally… & Sothis, please don't make a scene here.

Sothis just looks away annoyed, although Byleth just sighed with a smile on her face as she sees her "Little Sister" pout. Yang & Nora are right, Sothis is cute… Very cute!

Nora: Oh, I see… I'm sorry about that, Professor, I can't help but act that way to small children… Say, what's that strange looking sword you got there? Can I touch it?

Byleth: No!... In fact, none of you can touch it!

The students all groan in disappointment after hearing that, especially Ruby. She really wanted to see what Byleth's sword was & what it could do from up close.

Ruby: Ah, but why not? We wouldn't break it, we promise!... Yang & Nora might, though.

Yang & Nora: HEY!

Byleth: *Chuckles* Trust me, it's nothing like that; it's a little more complicated than that… You see, The Sword of the Creator is a weapon is a blade that has existed for over 1000 years; those who are unworthy to wield it are destined with a gruesome end.

Jaune: "Gruesome End"? As in it's cursed?

Byleth: Yes, it's cursed. I'm the only one left who can use this sword efficiently.

The other students have very different reactions from hearing that The Sword of the Creator is cursed. Jaune & Nora look horrified, Pyrrha & both Rose Xiao-Long sisters get concerned & Blake takes a lot of interest in this "Cursed Sword". While Ren was currently preparing the plates for the 2 new guests, he heard about the cursed blade as well & doesn't look too fazed, Remnant isn't what you would call "A normal place with consistent rules & logic"; Weiss however just laughs it off as a joke.

Weiss: Hahahahahah! Oh, gods! Like anyone would be stupid enough to believe in such a ridiculous fantasy like that, there's no such things as "Cursed Weapons"!

Sothis: Heh, of course someone as ignorant & narcissistic as yourself would think that.

Weiss: I beg your pardon?!...

Sothis: You heard me, "Princess"! Don't think that being royalty makes you better than us. Even if the curse isn't true, Byleth & I aren't stupid enough to risk finding it out!

Byleth: She's right, Weiss & I trust my father's judgement; I won't let anyone lay a finger on The Sword of the Creator!

Weiss just looks away as she gets up after finishing her meal.

Weiss: I'll be at the library; I don't have time to waste on you low-life peasants…

Weiss leaves without saying another word as the others just look at the sisters in shock for telling the S.D.C. Heiress to wake up to goddamn reality; just in time for Ren coming back with Byleth's & Sothis' meals & set them down the table.

Ren: My apologies for the wait, please enjoy.

Byleth: Thank you, Lie Ren.

Sothis: Yeah, Thanks.

Both Eisner Sisters take the first bite of Ren's delicious pancakes & they feel like they just went to heaven; they both keep eating their food almost exactly like Nora & the Rose Xiao-Long sisters, maybe even more than them. After finishing their meal, they both give their plates to Ren in hopes of eating more food.

Byleth & Sothis: More please!

Ren can't help both smile as he takes both plates & goes to get seconds for the Eisner Sisters, with them looking at the classmates awkwardly.

Byleth: Uh~… What's the problem?

Pyrrha: Nothing, it's just-… Well, we didn't expect to have 2 more big eaters here.

Byleth: *Blushes sheepishly* We had a lot of feasts with our dad after missions.

Pyrrha: Oh, I see! Well, I cannot say that it's a bad thing; especially if it's Ren's cooking, I haven't had something this good in ages!

Blake: He certainly knows how to make a good meal; this fried fish & sushi are amazing.

Ruby: About that, I noticed that you have a thing for seafood.

Blake: Yeah, I do. Is that an issue?

Ruby: What?! No! of course not! It's just-… Well, Yang & I don't know a lot of people who eat fish & other kinds of seafood; I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression.

Blake: *Shakes her head* None needed, I was just curious.

Yang: Actually, I just remember something I heard from my Dad a few days ago. I heard that a seafood restaurant will be opening around the coast of the Kingdom Capital, we should all eat there when it opens.

Blake: A seafood restaurant? Now this I'd like to see.

Ren then comes back with more pancakes, fried bacon & fried eggs for the Eisner Sisters; who happily start eating seconds.

Ren: I am sorry that I'm not too knowledgeable about cooking seafood, hope that I was able to make something good with what I have.

Blake: It's alright, it's still good. Thank you, Ren. I'd love to have more in the future, if you wouldn't mind.

Ren smiles as he sits down next to Nora & begins eating his own meal.

Ren: I wouldn't mind at all, I like cooking; especially for other people.

After the class finish eating their breakfast, they decided to talk about some stuff about themselves. Weapons, Semblances, Fighting styles, ETC. While also talking about their respective goals & what drives them to become Huntsmen; it was just like talking to the Golden Deer all over again… Even if some of these stories were rather dark. Jaune talked a bit about his own family: The Arc Family; which aided one of the previous Kings of Vale during the great war, a little more history about the Rose Xiao-Long sisters & how they were raised & right now, some history behind Ren & Nora before they became travelers.

Nora: Then after that monster left, Ren & I began traveling around Anima, became a duo of travelers &- well, the rest is history.

As Nora finished his & Nora's history, the group can't help but feel bad for them, they're the only survivors of a village that was completely wiped out by a single Grimm that was the size of a house. The others try to comfort the duo, who appreciate their condolences; except for Ruby who stayed silent during the whole tale while looking down at the table, with a fierce, deadly & silently enraged expression on her face. Yang takes notices of that & tries to calm Ruby down a little.

Ruby: {Those disgusting monsters… They deserve a gruesome de-}

Yang: {Ruby!... Not now…}

The others were to occupied with Ren & Nora to take the subtle change in Ruby, expect Byleth. Who kept a close eye on the young reaper, that shift in attitude is very similar to Dimitri & his "Wild Boar" persona; she can't let such a young child be consumed by hate. But right as Byleth was about to say something to Ruby, they suddenly hear Ozpin's voice through the speakers of the Academy.

Ozpin: [Would Byleth Eisner & Pyrrha Nikos please come to Glynda's classroom?]

They all look at Byleth & Pyrrha confusingly, who are just as curious as to what Ozpin wants? Mainly on Glynda's classroom.

Nora: Ooh~, did you girls already get into trouble or something?

Pyrrha: *Blushes* Wha- What? Of course not, we didn't do anything yet!

As Nora is teasing Pyrrha, Byleth just rolls her eyes & gets up, with Sothis following suit.

Byleth: Let's just see what they want, I'm sure it's nothing too serious.

Pyrrha: Well-… Alright…

The girls go on ahead & leave the dining hall, everyone besides Ren & Blake left the dining hall; Ren was going to wash the dishes & Blake decided to help him out.

Cut to Glynda's classroom, where it looks like a small indoors arena of sorts, the seats & tables are even at higher ground as there's a small stadium below. Byleth & Pyrrha arrive & spot Oz & Glynda at the stadium below, with the other students following the 2 girls.

Ozpin: Ah, there you are & I see that you brought an audience with you as well.

Pyrrha: *Raises an eyebrow* "Audience"?

Byleth: What's your game, Headmaster Ozpin?

Ozpin: Well, Glynda just showed me a bit of your battle capabilities through the "test" she gave you earlier & while they were fine, I can't help but feel a bit unsatisfied with what I have… Mainly on how you were "holding back".

None of the students knew what Ozpin meant. First off: Byleth apparently showed some of her skills to Glynda earlier & she wasn't fully satisfied since she didn't see her full capabilities… which was HALF true, Glynda wasn't "unsatisfied", but rather wanted to see just how strong Byleth was. That said, Byleth knew immediately what Ozpin wanted.

Byleth: Let me take a wild guess… You want me & Pyrrha to have a 1 on 1 match to test my strength before the Mock Battle, correct?

The Students: WHAT?!

Ozpin just smiles at Byleth's question, confirming it to be the case.

Ozpin: Correct, we wish to see you how you fair against someone else instead of just showing off your skills without actually fighting someone. Out of all the students we have, Pyrrha is arguably the strongest newcomer we had in a very long time & believe that her fighting style would suit well against a swordswoman like yourself.

The students didn't like that Ozpin & Glynda were pretty much forcing Pyrrha & their new professor: Byleth, into a match without even asking for their opinion on the matter first, on their first day, no less! Ruby is the first one to call them out for this.

Ruby: Hey, hold the phone! You can't just put 2 people who are just getting to know each other into a fight like that, this isn't a tournament!

Glynda: Ms. Rose! I suggest you watch the way you speak to our great King!

Before Ruby pushed further, Byleth stopped her & placed a hand on her shoulder.

Byleth: It's alright, Ruby; I'm used to stuff like this. *Looks at Ozpin* Alright, I'm in!

Ruby: What?!...

Ozpin: *Smirks* Excellent, then how shall we b-

Byleth: Not so fast!... I'm not fighting Pyrrha if she doesn't want to. Unlike you, I value the opinion of those around me!

Ozpin widens his eyes in shock as Byleth pretty much shut him up & gave him a nasty burn! Glynda would've mouthed her once again if Ozpin didn't put his hand out to stop her. Pyrrha doesn't like to be forced to fight Byleth like this, since it's technically not their choice… But despite the circumstances, she manages to stay strong.

Pyrrha: Alright, I accept your challenge. I wanted to battle you for a quite a while. I'm sorry about that our first duel can't be under better circumstances, Prof. Byleth.

Pyrrha's "I'm sorry" counter: 6

Ozpin nods as he motions the 2 girls to come to the arena, with him & Glynda getting out of the stage as Byleth & Pyrrha come down to the stadium.

Ozpin: Alright. You both can change into your battle attires in the locker rooms over to my left; As for everyone else, you may sit down & watch the match yourselves.

Ruby & the other students sit down the table as Byleth & Pyrrha go downstairs & head to the lockers; Pyrrha puts on her armor & Byleth puts on her usual mercenary outfit. They get back & step forward to the arena, already having their weapons drawn. Pyrrha with her short-sword: Miló & her shield: Akoúo, while Byleth draws her own weapon: The Sword of the Creator.

Glynda already turns on the monitor on the top of the arena, representing both fighters with health bars below their portraits. The health bars serve as their Aura meter, they'll be used as a regular HP bar in videogames.

Glynda: Alright, listen up. The 2 of you will have a single round match & will give your all in this battle, I don't want to see either of you holding back or throwing the fight. The battle will end when one of your Auras reach red, understood?

Both girls nod at Glynda as they look at back at each other, standing their guard up. it has only been a few days since Byleth fought at The Battle of Garreg Mach against Edelgard & The Imperial Army, yet it feels like she hasn't fought in a long time. Hopefully this feeling will go away after this battle, Pyrrha will certainly help with that. Glynda then looks at Ozpin who nods approvingly, giving her the signal to start the match.

Glynda: Alright, you may begin!

[Music: "Destiny's Force" from Kingdom Hearts]

Pyrrha slowly starts to walk towards Byleth as she takes a defensive stance, Pyrrha jumps upwards & tries to attack Byleth with an aerial slash, but Byleth is able to easily parry the attack & push Pyrrha away. When Pyrrha landed, she started clashing blades with Byleth left & right, but she's never able to lay a single hit on the Ashen Demon. It couldn't be, could it? The almighty invincible girl? Pyrrha Nikos: The Red Tornado… Is struggling?! The reactions of the audience speak for itself, especially Jaune. The duel is fast & intense, but Pyrrha looks so… outmatched!

Pyrrha does a backflip after getting parried once again by Byleth, who finally goes on the offensive as she swings her sword at Pyrrha, who blocks with her shield, tries to lay a kick on Byleth, who easily parries the incoming attack with her sword once again before they cross their blades & get into a standstill. Pyrrha is clearly struggling, while Byleth doesn't look like she's even breaking a sweat. She barely used her Aura, while Pyrrha is around the 80% range already. Byleth has crossed swords with many powerful warriors in the Land of Fódlan; Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, Felix, Petra, Seteth, Alois, Catherine. All of them tried to take down The Ashen Demon, yet none of them succeeded. Pyrrha is indeed a skilled & powerful warrior, but she's not at the level of warriors that Byleth is used to fighting against; there's no way she can win.

Pyrrha: (W- what power!... The professor is barely breaking a sweat… & yet-)

Byleth then pushes Pyrrha away & knees her on the gut, sending her further away. That's when Byleth transforms her sword into its chain-whip form & throws it at Pyrrha's, who's barely able to dodge the incoming attack. Byleth spins her sword around & attacks Pyrrha yet again, she is just barely able to duck & avoid Byleth's attack. Unfortunately, the moment Byleth throws her blade right back at Pyrrha, she's not able to dodge it & is sent flying to Byleth's right. She stands right back up so that she can block the next attack with her shield. But while she's dodging & blocking Byleth's attacks, she takes a closer look at Byleth's sword… it doesn't look like it's made of any ore or metal.

Pyrrha: (Impossible! How can a sword like that not be forged from an ore?! This is bad!)

After parrying Byleth's incoming attack with her sword, she charges at Byleth once again to try to land a hit on her, but Byleth just grabs the incoming sword with her free hand. This action shocks the entire audience, Byleth just grab hold of an incoming sword like it's nothing! Byleth's skill & experience is on a whole other level. Pyrrha looks at Byleth shocked & even a little scared, especially with the emotionless expression on her face.

Byleth: Sorry, but I saw that one coming.

Byleth then hits Pyrrha in the chin with her left knee & sends her flying by landing a hard kick on Pyrrha's torso with her other leg. She throws Miló back to Pyrrha, who catches it back with ease. Pyrrha's Aura is barely over 50%, Byleth's hasn't even dropped under 90%. Pyrrha suspects that Byleth has an abnormal amount of Aura, much like Jaune.

Pyrrha: Incredible, you're combat skills are on a whole other level. I've trained for almost my whole life & I can't even land a single hit on you!... How did you get this strong?!

Byleth: *Shrugs* I honestly have no idea, I guess I'm just that strong.

Everyone's jaws at Byleth's response. (Minus Ozpin, who just widens his eyes in shock.) Pyrrha is one of the most powerful non-licensed Huntresses in Remnant, yet she stands no chance against Byleth, how is she this powerful?! Both adversaries then charged at one another, yet again! Pyrrha is trying to study Byleth's pattern, but to no avail! She didn't leave any openings, she didn't hesitate, she didn't second guess, nothing! This was a losing battle & Pyrrha knew this, but Glynda forbade them from forfeiting the match, so she can't throw in the towel. Not that she'd want to anyways, she wants to keep going & see if she can do something to Byleth. It eventually goes in her favor once Byleth throws her sword at Pyrrha once again; but unlike the last times this happened, Pyrrha uses her sword & binds the chain-whip around it & throws her sword back, disarming Byleth in the process. She goes into close combat as the she finally lands a good punch at Byleth's face; who fires back with a jab at the left side of Pyrrha's torso.

The battle of 2 swordswoman now became a duel of fisticuffs as both punched, kicked, blocked & dodge at one another time & time again at great speeds. But unfortunately, Byleth pulls through after slamming her fist on her torso yet again, sending her flying. Byleth takes that chance to take back her sword, but she does give Miló back to Pyrrha like she did before, she wanted a fair fight. While Byleth is certainly feeling better, she's actually starting to sweat a little, her Aura is barely below 80%; while Pyrrha is on her knees panting heavily, with her Aura being just barely over 35%. Byleth then lowers her guard for a moment & asks something of Pyrrha.

Byleth: Why do you fight?

Pyrrha looks at Byleth confusingly, while everyone else can finally catch their breath as the fight is suddenly paused for a brief moment.

Byleth: I can tell by the way you fight for something important to you… This isn't just about becoming a Huntress to you, is it? I know that there's something more… Will you explain your reason to fight?

Pyrrha closes her eyes & takes a deep breath before answering her question.

Pyrrha: I come from the City of Argus, one of the 3 settlements of the Dukedom of Mistral… The settlements of Mistral are always in constant civil conflict to see who gets to keep the Dukedom, as well as the Continent of Anima; we're trained ever since we're small children to fight in many civil battles against our kind… I've lost count on how many people lost their lives because of that disgusting nonsense!...

Byleth: I see, are you fighting to put an end to this endless conflict once & for all?

Pyrrha: Yes, I do. This is my duty as a Huntress! This is the promise I made to the one who trained me & thought me to value my life… I don't plan on dying before I see the people of The Dukedom of Mistral living in peace & prosperity!... That is my dream!

Byleth: *Raises a brow* Tell me, are you willing to die for that dream?

Pyrrha: *Smirks* If I can't make that dream a reality, then I deserve to die!

After hearing Pyrrha's words, her new teammates & friends can't help but feel sorry for her; they were interrupted by Ozpin earlier when the team was talking about their history & Pyrrha didn't get the chance to talk about hers beforehand. Byleth looks at Pyrrha proudly, while also sadly. She's proud of her conviction & strength, yet sadden that another child had to grow up to survive in the cruel world. Byleth decided to end this duel with a bang, to show her newfound respect to Pyrrha & readies her sword once again.

Byleth: I see, you're resolve is truly remarkable. I haven't met many people like you, so to show you my newfound respect… I shall cut you down with my strongest technique!

Pyrrha gets back up & stands her ground, already aware that she can't take the next hit, but she's ok with that, this match was already something she's happy to be a part off.

Pyrrha: Thank you, I'm in your dept!

Ozpin: *Smirks* (It seems that the battle just hit its climax, let's see what you're capable of; Ms. Eisner.)

Byleth than takes a deep breath, closes her eyes & clears her mind, while focusing all of her power in The Sword of the Creator. As she does so, her hair starts hovering upwards, there's an immense surge of energy surrounding her that sends shivers to everyone in the room (Minus Sothis). Then Byleth uses her true power: The Fire Emblem!

Byleth: CREST OF FLAMES: UNLEASHED!

Suddenly, Byleth opens her eyes widely & her pupils start emitting a powerful emerald green flame as The Sword of the Creator starts glowing brightly as the circular hole on the blade's guard starts emitting the same emerald green fire that Byleth's eyes are now emitting; all the while a giant emblem that takes the shape of a purple fire suddenly emerges from Byleth's chest. Everyone in the room looks at Byleth with shock as she's emitting such radiant energy, with Glynda in particular being horrified of how powerful The Ashen Demon truly is; Ozpin on the other hand, is delighted to see such incredible power from young woman.

Byleth draws her sword back & gets ready to transform it into its chain-whip form, Pyrrha just focuses all of her remaining Aura into her shield to try & block the incoming attack; that's when Byleth finally attacks.

Byleth: FÓDLAN STYLE – ULTIMATE ARTE: RUPTURED HEAVEN!

Byleth swings her sword towards Pyrrha a few times like a whip before one final swing that slams Pyrrha down; who tries to block it with her shield, but to no avail as she's slammed to the ground & her Aura breaks in the process, the monitor then beeps as to indicate that Pyrrha is no longer able to battle, Byleth has won the match. The room is suddenly in complete silence as everyone's reactions to both Pyrrha's defeat & Byleth's true power just speaks for themselves, Byleth draws back her sword & sheathes it back to her hip & goes towards Pyrrha to make sure she's alright. Pyrrha is still conscious after that attack, but can barely stand up. But once she looks up, she sees Byleth offering her hand with a warm smile on her face; Pyrrha smiles back as she takes her hand & is pulled back up to her feet thanks to her Professor's help.

Jaune: Woah, that was just-… Holy shit!...

Yang: Amazing! I've never seen that kind of power before, was that her Semblance?

While the students keep mummering to themselves, Glynda is in a state of silent & complete terror as she witnessed Byleth just annihilate someone & display a level of power that no mere mortal should have, it's like she was some sort of Demi-God! Ozpin was also shocked & a little scared of Byleth's true power, especially if either "She" or "He" ever got their hands on her, it would be a disaster; yet this power Byleth has shown, could she be the one? Could she finally be the one to truly save this doomed world? Ozpin lets those thoughts to the side as he announces to the class about the match.

Ozpin: *Clears throat* Well, this was quite a spectacular battle between 2 very skilled young women, I believe we have a winner. The winner of this match is: Byleth Eisner!

Byleth doesn't even hear Ozpin's announcement as she's helping Pyrrha climb the stairs, with the other students coming to both congratulate Byleth's victory & see if Pyrrha's alright.

Ruby: Holy crap, Byleth! What the heck was that?! I've never seen that level of skill before in my life, you were incredible!

Nora: That was so awesome! You gotta teach us how to do that in class! But even so, Pyrrha, are you alright?

Pyrrha: Heheheh… Yes, I'm alright. I'm sorry for worrying you all… As for you Prof. Byleth, I know that this wasn't under the best circumstances, but I'm grateful for letting me have this battle with you.

Pyrrha's "I'm sorry" counter: 7

Byleth: It's a pleasure & I have to admit, you managed to catch me off guard a few times back there; especially when you managed to disarm me from The Sword of the Creator. As for you kids, I'll make sure you won't miss a thing from me, so get ready!

Ruby: *Nods* Yeah, I'll be looking forward to it!

Sothis: Hah! Ya kids better not cry about it, I don't wanna hear any complaining from you if things get to rough for you.

Yang then goes to Pyrrha's left & helps her out alongside Byleth & they started walking out of the classroom, only for Glynda to snap back to reality & call them out.

Glynda: Hold just a moment!

The students & Byleth all turn to face the approaching Glynda, with Sothis being a little annoyed about it since her "Older Sister" has a student to attend to & she doesn't want to be interrupted right now.

Sothis: Oh, for crying out loud; can't you see we're in a rush? What do you want now?!

Glynda: What I want is to know what in the world was that power that you displayed, Prof. Eisner! I've just unlocked your Aura a few hours prior, there's no way you could've manifested such a powerful Semblance like the one you displayed this quickly!

Ah crap, Byleth might have fucked up in revealing her Crest in front of a few people. It's obviously not her Semblance; like Glynda just said, Byleth had her Aura unlocked just a few hours prior. No one awakens their Semblance this soon after awakening their Aura. But before Byleth has a chance to say anything, Sothis stands in between the 2.

Sothis: Hey, you stay out of this! What my sister has displayed was just her true power, she rarely gets to show her strength anymore due to how weak our bounties have been for the past few months!

Glynda: I don't have time to waste on a spoiled brat right now, I want my answers & I want them this instant!

Sothis: *Smirks* Ironic considering how reprehensible you're being right now, if I'm a "Spoiled Brat", then you're the equivalent of a newborn infant!

The students just look at Sothis in shock as she just landed a sick burn at Glynda, who clearly didn't like getting called out by a small child; Ozpin steps in before things get even worse for both sides.

Ozpin: Alright, that's quite enough!... Now then, I must thank you all for your time for answering to my request, I'm sorry if this was very sudden. But now that it's all over, you're all free to go, we can discuss these matters some other time.

Byleth: *Nods* It's no trouble at all, have a good day, Your Majesty.

The students & the Eisner Sisters then leave the scene while helping Pyrrha out, who's slowly getting her strength back. Glynda then glares back at Ozpin, not happy at his decision to simply let The Ashen Demon go.

Glynda: Your Majesty, why did you let her go?! It's clear as day that she's no ordinary woman, she just showed a power far greater than anything either of us has ever seen! We cannot just let her do as she pleases!

Ozpin: Talking about it right now would be a waste of time, it's clear that she doesn't trust us one bit & for good reason. We must wait for the right place & time; only then will we learn of Byleth Eisner's true origins… Still, that power she just displayed… It was simply incredible, The Sword of the Creator is quite the powerful weapon on its own, but that power she displayed… "The Crest of Flames", I believe she called it?...

Glynda: *Sighs* Yes, I recall that being the name of that "Power" she displayed… It's clearly not her Semblance, it hasn't been long enough since I unlocked her Aura… As for the power itself… it almost felt- Magical!... Could she be-…

Ozpin: *Shakes his head* No, I do not think that she's one of them. None of the previous ones have showed that kind of power according to our data; so if it is a form of magic, it's most certainly one that we're unfamiliar with. Let's try to play safe for the moment, one false move & it could all be in vain.

Glynda: I- I understand, Your Majesty. I just hope we're not biting more than we can chew; classes start tomorrow, so we'll see how she fairs as a professor in a class.

Ozpin: Oh, I'm sure she's gonna do just~ fine!

Glynda just rolls her eyes as Ozpin drinks his coffee, still not a fan of any of this. She'll have to look up a bit about Byleth & Sothis Eisner, even if she doesn't find anything at all.

Back in the infirmary room, where Pyrrha's getting tended to, the students go & check if she's alright. Thankfully it's nothing serious & her injuries should be healed by tomorrow morning. While Byleth is watching them converse from afar, she notices that Weiss still hasn't come back yet. Ren & Blake found them helping Pyrrha when they finished their own business & was heading back to the dorms, but Weiss isn't anywhere to be seen. She said that she'd go to the library earlier, but that was an obvious lie. Before she & Sothis could go however, Ruby stops them from going.

Ruby: Wait, Prof. Eisner. Can I ask you something?...

Byleth: Well, I'm not in a rush at the moment; so sure.

Ruby: Okay… You remember when you told us about your sword being cursed & how only you can wield it?

Byleth: Yeah, I did. What about it?

Ruby: I can tell that the power you displayed on your match with Pyrrha wasn't you're Semblance, nobody can unlock their Semblance so soon after unlocking their Aura… Does that power have anything to do with that sword?... Mainly its curse?

Byleth thinks for a moment before answering her student. In a way, yes; The Sword of the Creator & The Crest of Flames are one. You can't use the blade properly if you don't have the compatible Crest, but Byleth can't exactly say "Well, my heart is actually a type of god emblem that was implanted into me when I was an infant & that's how I can use my sword" or anything like that, nor how the Crests really work for that matter. So she has to find a way to keep the truth hidden from her students while still giving them a decent answer that could satisfy them, she doesn't want to burden her students again.

Byleth: To be honest, I've never found out the meaning behind it myself. All I know that it relates to my Mother's side of the family & it spends over 1000 years now, it's not a Semblance, so I don't need my Aura to use it…

Ruby: My guess is that this could be the curse's way to say that you're worthy of its power, or something along those lines.

Byleth: Probably… Still, I'm sorry if I scared you kids back there, I usually don't get this serious on the battlefield, much less simple sparring matches.

Ruby: *Smiles* Stop apologizing, you've done nothing wrong. If anything, some of us might even appreciate you more; not only because we know a glimpse of your true power, but also because you want us to fight one another at their best. Besides, seeing that awesome sword technique of yours was a sight to behold, I'd love to do something like that in the future!

Byleth: *Chuckles* Honestly, you kids are something else. But even so, thank you for your kind words, Ruby. Ya'know, you have something that I don't see in a lot of people.

Ruby: *Raises eyebrow* Oh yeah? & What's that?

Byleth: *Smiles* The power to change the world.

Ruby's eyes just widen when she heard Byleth say that, she's never heard those words from anyone… Well, none besides her Older Sister, Father & Uncle. So hearing it from someone who just met her a few days ago feels really nice. Ruby looks away blushing a little bit while scratching her cheek.

Ruby: Oh, stop! You're making me blush… Say, where are you going now?

Byleth: Oh, I noticed that Weiss hasn't come back in a while, so we were gonna go look for her. She said that she'd go to the library after our breakfast, but I know she was lying.

Ruby: I see… Well, I'm going with you. I'm her leader & partner now, so I gonna make sure she doesn't get into any trouble?

Sothis: *Smirks mischievously* Oh? Are you sure that you're not the troublemaker of your own team?

Ruby: Hey!

Ruby blushes madly & starts pouting at Byleth's teasing, who just laughs it off at how adorable Ruby is while Sothis smirks mischievously.

Byleth: Come now, she was just joking. Come on, let's get going.

Sothis: Still, you should've seen the look on your face, it was amazing! Now let's go find Weiss so that we can hear her whining like a small child again.

Ruby: *Groans* Fine…

The 3 of them head off as Pyrrha is slowly moving around, now that she doesn't feel that much pain anymore.

Pyrrha: There, much better. My Aura should heal up any remaining bruises I might have.

Ren: While I'm glad to see that you're alright, we can't have you push yourself too hard.

Pyrrha: Come on, Ren. I'm fine, trust me.

Nora: Yeah, Pyrrha's super strong! She can take a beating or 2 & get back up just fine. Still, that fight was awesome! You were both amazing back there!

Pyrrha: *Chuckles weakly* You're far too kind, Nora. But I'm glad to know that I at least put up a good show back there for you all, seeing you this happy & excited makes me happy too. Don't you agree, Jaune?... Jaune?

Jaune is a little quiet, which was a little unlike him. Sure, he knew Pyrrha wasn't invincible, but she didn't expect to see her lose in such a decimating way; let alone on his first real day at Beacon Academy. But that's not what's bothering him at the moment.

Jaune: Hey, Pyrrha. About what you said back there in the fight, about your dream?... How you're willing to die for that dream?... Did you really mean that?

Pyrrha looks down for a moment before answering her leader.

Pyrrha: Yeah, I did… I've already made that decision a long time ago.

Jaune looks down somberly while feeling an intense anger inside of him, clutching the blanket of Pyrrha's medical bed a bit as he speaks.

Jaune: But why?!...

Pyrrha raises a brow, not understanding what Jaune meant as he continued speaking.

Jaune: Why would someone die for such a cause?! Why even fight for people who just won't listen in the first place?!... All they do is kill each other & spread misery to one another for no reason, yet they do it anyways!... The Great War ended almost 80 years ago, so why are we still fighting each other?! Is it really that hard to just- talk things out?!

Everyone stays quiet after hearing Jaune's words, feeling the anger & sadness that's coming from his voice as he talks about the senseless violence in Mistral's 3 divided nations & by extension, the rest of Remnant. But before Pyrrha could even try giving a definitive answer, Blake steps in & gets everyone's attention.

Blake: That is what it means to be a Person… No matter what era we're in, there's always going to be conflict, there's always going to be war… The best thing you can do is fight for what you believe is right, what you believe will make a difference… *Looks at Jaune* But you won't know that unless you try.

The students listened to Blake's words, feeling a very harsh & cold demeanor coming from her mouth as she spoke, almost as if she asked that question herself before. Jaune begins thinking about what she said before shooting her a nod.

Jaune: I'll… I'll give it a shot.

Blake smiles at Jaune's words, feeling the warm sincerity that comes from him.

Blake: You better, because I'm going to kick your ass if you don't.

That's when Blake gets up from her seat & begins heading off, waving at the other students as she left the infirmary & go do her own thing.

Yang: Man, makes me wonder where she learned to talk like that. *Looks at Team JNPR* Anyways, I'll be heading off too, see you guys in class tomorrow?

Pyrrha: Yeah, we'll see you tomorrow. Take care, Yang.

Nora: Oh & next time, we gotta see what hits the hardest! Your fists or my hammer!

Yang smirks at Nora's challenge while the latter's teammates just roll their eyes at the thought, hopefully these 2 won't cause such a scene.

Yang: Hah! I'm looking forward to it, Thunder Thighs!

Yang gives off a smirk & thumbs up before leaving Team JNPR at the infirmary, going back to her quarters to do some stuff on her own. However, she manages to catch up to Blake who was walking through the hallways all by herself.

Yang: Yo Blake, wait up!

Blake turns around to see Yang coming towards her with that cheerful smile on her face.

Blake: What is it?

Yang: I was wondering if you had any plans for today, cause if you don't… Ya mind if I tag along with you for the rest of the day?

Blake gives her partner a rather sharp look, almost as if she's analyzing Yang in a way. (Not in that way, you perverts!) Seeing the image of her old friend through Yang, feeling that warm, fuzzy & kind feeling in her heart telling her that things will be okay somehow. Blake just shrugs before she starts walking through the hallways again.

Blake: Do whatever you want, Yang. I won't stop you.

Yang: Oh, well- great!

Yang follows her partner throughout the hallways of Beacon Academy as they begin chatting with each other… Well, can you even call it chatting if one person just responds with a few words here & there as the other person keeps talking? Not that either of them really minded all that much, Blake didn't mind Yang's company & Yang herself liked being around Blake & that's good enough for them.

Cut to around the afternoon at the outskirts of the campus, Weiss is currently kneeled down while trying to use her Semblance. She has Myrtenaster implanted on the ground while she starts to form one of her glyphs & this one is pretty large. She's concentrating all of her power into this one glyph &… it shatters! Her Aura flickers & whatever she was trying to do has failed, she then gets up in anger & throws her sword to the ground, trying to hide whatever tears are about to form in her eyes from all of the burning rage & self-deprecation that she's feeling at the moment.

Weiss: WHY CAN'T I DO IT?! Both my grandfather & great-grandfather have managed to summon familiars around my age & so has-… *Growls in anger* so has my sister, so what in the bloody hell am I lacking?! Why can't I do this one thing?!...

Weiss just sits down & groans in frustration after failing to summon yet again. The Semblance of Glyphs allows the user to summon familiars in the form of Grimm that they have slain in the past; yet for some reason, Weiss can't do it. After some more moping, she takes Myrtenaster, dusts herself off & leaves the area, maybe a nice afternoon bath will put her mind at ease. But as she was about to get into the dorm building a few minutes later, she hears a familiar voice calling for her.

Ruby: HEY~! WEISS~!

Weiss just groans in frustration, great! Just when she was about to have a nice, relaxing bath, she has to deal with whatever nonsense her leader wants. As she turns around to face her however, she spots Byleth & Sothis coming as well. Wonderful, she's gonna have to deal with both of these bothersome pests.

Weiss: Gods above, why now? *Turns to face Ruby & the others* What do you 3 want?

Sothis: For starters, we thought that you were going to the library after breakfast, but we figured that you were somewhere else given how long you've been out of the group for the whole morning & early afternoon.

Weiss: My business is my business alone; I don't need you to stick your nose into where it doesn't belong.

Ruby: Ah, come on, Weiss. Don't be like that, we're in a team now, you don't have to be so isolated. If there's a problem, you ask us what's wrong, it's that simple.

Weiss: There is nothing wrong with me, Dolt! I was just going to take a bath & have some late lunch… alone!... Without people like you to bother me 24/7!

Byleth: Well, you certainly look a little exhausted, were you perhaps training by yourself for a few hours before coming here?

Weiss: & If I did, why should that matter to you?

Byleth: Because that's my job! Both as a professor… & A Friend…

Weiss: *Raises a brow* "Friends"? Don't kid yourself! I don't have any friends, nor do I need them! They do nothing but hold me back… I may be on the same team as Ruby, her Sister & that Ronin, but there's no way I'd ever befriend those brats! Unlike you, I have greatness waiting for me in a few years & I'm not gonna let a bunch of lucky brats get in my way & screw everything up! *Takes a deep breath* Now, if you can excuse me…

Weiss then gets inside of the dorm & starts heading to her own dorm to take a bath, Byleth just sighs in disappointment as Ruby looks down upset.

Ruby: Yare Yare, she can't exactly stay like that forever… I wouldn't call ourselves friends either, but-… Hearing her actually say it kinda hurt a little…

Sothis: Eh, she's just a spoiled rich brat, why should we care?

Byleth: Let's just leave her be for the moment, Ruby. It's clear that she has a lot in her mind & wants to be alone for a while.

Ruby: Alright… *Looks at the Eisner Sisters* Ya guys wanna hang out around campus?

Sothis: Sure, count me in!

Byleth: If it's with one of my students, I'd be happy to oblige.

The 3 of them head off to go & begin walking around campus to do their own thing. Meanwhile, Weiss is in her Team Dorm's bathroom, taking a nice relaxing bath. As she sees her reflection in the water, she covers the scar on her left eye with one of her hands while reminiscing bits of her past.

While technically not their first day at school since it was Sunday, it was still quite an enjoyable day for Teams RWBY, JNPR & The Eisner "Sisters", But there are still so many questions unanswered for both Ozpin & Glynda. Will they be able to learn more about their new Professor & who she really is? What is Blake's true origins & how come she speaks in such a way that shows so much experience that you expect from an experience Pro-Huntsman? Will Team JNPR be able to surpass Byleth as a strong unit? Will Weiss start opening up & actually try to befriend her new colleagues instead of isolating herself even further? Author's Notes: Well, that was a longass chapter. i didn't expect it to be THIS long, yet here we are! Now for the questions

1: Why are you focusing so much in Remnant? Hre's the thing. i love RWBY as a story, it has a great narrative, but up until C6, the Worldbuilding was pretty much NONEXISTENT! it was NOT good! especially with Mistral in V5, They did Mistral DIRTY! I can't be too harsh on CRWBY however, cause as someone who's started writing, i can tell you without the shadow of a doubt that one of, if not THE hardest thing to write & do well is The Worldbuilding. it's the same as developing a character... BUT TO A WHOLE FOCKING WORLD! That is SUPER DIFFICULT & even with the source material i had & the liberties i took, making good worldbuilding is NOT easy! & Since Fire Emblem has great worldbuilding for the most part & 3 Houses has arguably the best one yet (although i personally prefer Tellius from the 2 Radiant games) i wanted to try & make good worldbuilding here too, but if it's not good, i'm sorry! i'm trying! effective worldbuilding is REALLY FREAKING DIFFICULT! SO I HOPE YOU GUYS CAN AT LEAST UNDERSTAND THAT MUCH! ok? ok!

2: Why is Byleth so okay with showing off The Sword of the Creator? Because i couldn't think of a way for her to keep it a secret & she can't exactly get rid of it, let alone have someone else use it! Now i COULD just have taken away her sword before she was sent to Remnant, but part of her character IS The Sword of the Creator, so i didn't wanna do that. So i had to make her do some "Cursed Weapon" excuse to try & hide their true identity. Sidenote: While talking to TPoynt earlier, we both realized that Byleth hasn't figured out that her sword is LITERALLY SOTHIS' SPINAL CORD!... Yeah...

3: & this is more revelant to the start of the fic... Why did you have 2 different Byleths send VW Byleth & Sothis to Remnant? Because literally EVERY OTHER OPTION AVALIABLE WAS USED PRIOR! A Ghost of Summer? Used in The Deamon Eater's Rose by RyuJudge6614 (highly recommend it, BTW, great fic), The Gods of Remnant? Both happened in canon with Ozma & i'm sure as hell confident that other fanfic writers used it already as well! Fall into an abyss between worlds? TPoynt's Aqua's Mission Fanfic. Basically, i had next to NO OPTIONS here & i was backed into a corner back then, i HAD to do something different in other to differenciate from the other Xover RWBY fics! Is it weird? Yes! But i was out of options back there, i'm sorry! okay?!

Anyways, before i go, i wanna leave a question from ME to YOU GUYS! What's going to be the class/team name for this "House"? I wanna make a team name like The Blue Lions, The Golden Deer & The Red Eagles... Oh- i'm sorry, The BLACK Eagles (Seriously, why is it black & not red? their banner is LITERALLY the color red & Edelgard wears nothing BUT red!) So i wanted to make one for these guys too, i was thinking "The Red Phoenixes" or something like that, i want something that has Red or a shade of Red in the name while representing a cool animal or even a mythological creature. I'm gonna let you guys decide & i'll see if i like any of them enough to use it. Anways, this has been enough for me & i got some stuff to do before writing Chapter 7 which will be more focused on Weiss. Edit: Okay yeah, so the slight dialogue change is actually a bit more significant here, mainly with Pyrrha & her whole deal about wanting to end the conflics in Mistral, as well as the scene with Blake giving Jaune a bit of a reality check. Those are actually important for chapters like C15 where the 2 have a proper heart to heart with each other. Also notice how i made Ren talk alot less, which will be the same in the next chapter edit as well... Yeah, even I started to get a little bothered with him talking a bit too much. Anyways, i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, thanks for all of the support & as i'm writing this, this story will turn 1 year old in 5 days time. I know it's not much to some, but it's alot to me. I definitely wanna try something special with it & maybe even try going on a new direction.
