Greetings everybody I am pleased to see that you decided to spend your day reading yet another story. One that I sometimes torture myself thinking of ideas for.
Ok that might be an overreaction on my part but hey drawing blanks is a common thing for authors. I am no different from anybody else who deals with it.
Doesn't mean that it doesn't take a while to create these stories. Trust me I am only one man but I am more than willing to do this for your enjoyment.
Let's move on from all that this story in particular follows Traoq. The guy who when we last saw him was thrown against a car resulting in nearly having his neck and spine broken.
Afterwards he walked out on Tak and Leiok and no being thrown into the car isn't the reason he did what he did. After leaving he took advantage of technology given to him by Tak and ended up by himself once again.
He didn't get to be like that for long as you will find out in a minute. Traoq went from being alone in prison to being with Tak and Leiok to being all alone to ending up where he is currently.
Ok with all that out of the way let's get started with the story. Remember to let me know how this journey of ours together can be better in the long run.
Weeks had went by after Traoq decided to walk out on Tak and Leiok. How'd he leave Earth you might be asking. It was easy when he was given the tech needed to do such a thing.
Traoq wondered to himself if leaving Earth would be a good idea. He knew deep down inside that it was the right decision. Any doubts he had went away once he left.
Though he wondered if by doing what he did he would be dooming himself. He didn't know if Tak and Leiok would hunt him down for doing what he did.
One positive to leaving for Traoq is he didn't have to deal with Tak and Leiok's overly strict set of rules. That made the choice to leave easy as he absolutely hated being around them.
Him not knowing much of what Tak was plotting didn't make things better either. Granite he did know some of what she was doing but not enough for him to be satisfied.
The fact that he knew little about what she was doing made him realize leaving was the best option for him. If you ask me I think long term if Tak fails then he made the right choice.
It wouldn't be good if the opposite happened cause then his chances of survival would lower quite a lot. If Tak manages to conquer Earth then Traoq would in a really bad spot.
He didn't care as cause anywhere in the universe is better than being with those two he thought. Yeah he had a real love hate relationship with Tak and Leiok only minus the love and double the hate.
After being with them he felt like being back in Moo Ping 10 in a padded room losing his mind. There is part of him that felt relaxed knowing he was far away from those two.
For the first time in a while it was quiet and peaceful inside Traoq's head as he for once felt peace surround him. Which lasted for about a minute before he ends up opening his eyes.
Traoq was apparently daydreaming and wakes up to see two figures staring back at him. "Forgive us Traoq but you need to be awake for this. "Yeah your going to need to be paying attention when Chief gets here.
The two figures that were speaking with him had casual looking clothing on with some bulletproof vests over it. Traoq though he was inside of a prison when he first saw the figures.
Both had antennas that were pointed down and we're currently staring at Traoq like parents about to lecture a kid. Traoq comments on their requests in his usual tone.
"Forgive me for wanting to relax. "Besides who even are you and where am I? "You'll find out when Chief arrives. "So please cooperate until then.
"You going to hold my eyes open if I don't? "If we're giving the green light than yes. The figure that was trying to be nice was female while the not so nice one was male.
The female was wearing a dark blue jacket with a black long sleeve on with some black slacks. The male on the other hand had a brown shirt with some kind of police styled pants.
Unlike the other planets we have seen or heard the people that inhabited this planet have yet to be conquered by an invader. Hence the reason that these aliens aren't wearing clothes with irken designs on them.
Rumors though have claimed that there is in fact an invader on the planet in hiding. It wouldn't really be a shock if that were the case giving The Irken Armada's history.
Irkens tend to think a lot of things that we don't have answers to. Back on the topic of this planet it and it's inhabitants are the closest things to a civilized environment as it could get.
Though it's leaders are much like The Tallest in terms of setting rules and goals to go after. Think of it like being very passive aggressive constantly.
Another unique detail about these aliens is that while both male and female tan colored skin. The males had bright blue eyes while the females had yellow eyes.
Don't think that because their on a different planet think that they aren't like other aliens. Good God that was cringe let's keep going and pretend I didn't say that.
You forget about what I said or you going to hang on to that. What you forgot good that great to hear ok uh let's get back to the story before you remember it again.
"Don't tell me that's stopping you. The Male Figure responds to Traoq by punching him in the stomach. "Still want to act like a wise guy. "I'll gladly keep hitting you.
"Will you knock it off? "What if he's going to be a tough guy than I can to. "Chief gave us direct orders to try and make friends with him in order to hopefully make this easier.
"Being aggressive is a last resort. "Try and keep your anger in check. "Whatever you say. "This is all fine and dandy but can one of you please tell me what I am doing here? "Sorry we can't at least not yet.
"When do I get to know then..two years later? "That's real funny. "Thanks I'll literally be here all week. The Male Figure hits Traoq again this time in the face while looking unamused by his sarcasm.
"Is this a game to you? "Cause I promise you it's not. "Will you two stop acting like children? "You should tell him that. "Look I don't even know what I need to taking seriously.
A voice is then heard answering Traoq as it enters the room. "Good then that means that they followed thier orders. They all looked over to see the figure that had entered the room.
It was another male who had a blue shirt with black police pants and a light army harness. "It's a good thing you made it Traoq. "I wouldn't call being kidnapped a good thing.
"With all due respect Traoq I wouldn't say kidnapped. "Right how's abduct sound. "Better but still isn't what happened. "I would say more along the lines of collected.
"Same thing basically. "Either way you look at it I still have a bunch of strangers surrounding me. "Funny you call us that Traoq considering your used to being around strangers.
"Aquid, Qaet, Leiok and Tak. "Four people who you've worked for in the past. "All four are dead to me. "Perhaps to you but not to us. "At least not yet.
"Cause like they always say. "Ones mans trash is another ones treasure. "Or however that saying from Earth is said. "Interesting quote if I do say so myself.
"What are you even talking about? "If your going to say anything then say it already or shut up and let me leave. "Fine I guess I owe you that much.
"You see Traoq me and my colleagues here have tried arresting Aquid and Qaet. "We have failed cause they are ever so illusive. "I don't know where they are if that's what you want.
"That's not what we want. "No we already know where there hiding. "A discreet concrete fortress in the forests of this very planet. "It's getting to them that'll be the challenge.
"Which is where you factor in for us. "You see Traoq we need you to not only help us bring them into custody but to share any and all information that you have about them.
"Can I ask what on Earth makes you think I'd ever do that? "After what they those two did to me I want nothing to do with them. "Also what reason would I have to aid you after you had your two puppets "collect me."
"The answer to your question is much more clear thank you think. "What do you mean? Traoq responds clearly confused at was said to him. "Allow me to explain in order for you to understand.
"You see the thing is Traoq you've made a lot of enemies over the years. "To you that might not seem like an issue but is for the ones you've chosen to anger.
"Choosing to make enemies with people like Tak and Leiok was a dumb move. "You should've known that they will stop at nothing to get their hands on you. "Which includes doing anything to anybody to get what they want.
"Though your welcomed to try and run from your past but eventually it will catch up to you. "Get to the point. "The point is that your going to help us in bringing Qaet and Aquid into custody.
"Or we'll have you locked up where we'll then hand you over to your old friends Tak and Leiok. "Seeing that that you walked out on them after using thier tech to escape.
"I would like to guess that if they were to get thier hands on you that A LOT of bad things would end up happening to you. "Cause lets face it your nothing but a delinquent child masquerading as a man.
"You wouldn't last a week if you didn't have anyone protecting you twenty four seven like they were. "Chief wasn't the goal to get him on board not insult him. "I agree as much as I don't want to admit it.
"Appreciate the input but let me handle this. "What's it going to be Traoq? "You going to be smart about this or do yet another thing you'll end up regretting.
"Threats serious? "There wasn't any other way that I'd be able to convince you to do this. "There's plenty of options you could've chose from.
"Like what monies? "No I figured we needed a more realistic strategy. "Especially giving your history of being disloyal to those you stand with. "Besides we don't trust you to stay loyal so what would the point even be.
"In the meantime these two will take you to the armory to get the supplies you'll need. "I hope that you make the right choices Traoq. "It's not like I have much of a choice do I..Chief.
He doesn't get a response as his comment was clearly ignored while he goes to leave the room. He clearly had managed to annoy him by mockingly saying his title.
Chief looks towards his colleagues before giving a demand. "Keep an eye on him and if he tries anything stupid then subdue and lock him up.
"I'll be at the ship waiting for you to arrive. He leaves the room with an emotionless expression on his face. Traoq gets up not to long after and follows the other two towards the armory.
Traoq for the time being was stuck having to do what they say. He didn't want to do it but it was better than the other option he had. No he to for the time being deal with this mission he was being forced into.
Only thing he could was hope that it ends fast that way he can go back to living a somewhat normal life. One where Tak, Leiok and most definitely Chief wouldn't be involved in.
Five minutes go by and they had finished loading up with thier gear and were ready to get going. The Male Figure began a conversation to ease the silence.
"Hey uh I wanted to say sorry for kinda being harsh back thier. "Usually when Chief gives me an order I follow it without question. "It's cause that's what I am a by the books kind of guy you know.
"Don't worry I've been through worse. "How is that? "I've had to spend five years in Moo Ping 10 so there's that. "Which is made far worse by the new administration they have running it.
"That bad? "Yes and I'd rather have that than be with your Chief. "Believe me he's acted far worse with others. The female chimed in with a disappointed tone in her voice.
"We have a vortian in the infirmary who we tried to have get involved. "The only issue is that he is at best will lose his legs and undergo spinal replacement surgery. "I personally find feeling sorry for him difficult.
"He's lost his planet and family. "Did you forget his cronies raided the base for supplies and killed several of our people. "I know it's that I feel we could've done more to help him out.
"You seem a lot nicer than other people I've met in my life. "That's because she is. There was some silence for a little before Traoq asked some questions.
"What name does Chief go by? "Nobody knows. "He's always kept that a secret. "Which if you ask me is weird seeing as we all know each other by name here.
"Honestly it seems a little unfair to hide your name in secrecy if everybody here knows each other by name. The female says in a annoyed tone at Chief's secrecy.
"I agree it's weird but who knows he might have a reason..a stupid one but a reason nonetheless. "He's been in charge for nearly a decade and still hasn't told anybody.
"He doesn't seem like a trustworthy person if that's the case. "No it's not that he isn't trustworthy it's that he never opens up to anybody. "Right then could you at least tell me your names?
"Qaot and that lovely individual is Teko. "Forgive me for asking but how are they doing. "Who Aquid and Qaet? Teko responds to the question looking back with curiosity.
"Yeah I figured they were both dead or something close to it. "No their alive alright. "More annoying than ever to. "We're trying to stop them before they hurt anybody else.
"What exactly are we doing when we find them? "Chief will brief us on the way there. "Is there anything else you can tell me? "The most I can tell you is that they have something that's to dangerous for them to have.
"He's right we'll need to be very careful otherwise bad things will end up happening. "Do you think you can do that Traoq? "I'll try. "Good then lets get going we're almost to the ship.
The three of them continue and eventually make it to the ship and regroup with Chief. He turns to see them before addressing them in his usual serious manner.
"Good you've made it. "Glad to see you behaved yourself Traoq. "You say that like I was going to kill these two or something. "Giving the people you've worked for in the past I have no choice but to think that.
"You like bringing up my past but never seem to want to talk about yours. "That's because there are better things to do besides that. "Forgive me for wanting people to be productive.
"This isn't the time or the place to be doing this. Qaot says trying to change the subject that was being talked about. "Again I appreciate the advice but I can handle myself.
"No offense Chief but we should get going before they build the things on those schematics. Chief looked up and stared Teko with a look that would kill if were possible after that statement.
"Enough said. Teko responds back with little emotion to Chief's look. "Like he said we should get going. Qaot says with a firm sternness in her tone.
"Agreed we should get going. "Those two have to be placed into custody. Traoq was stopped from entering the ship at the last second and was confronted by Chief.
"I figured I should be the one to tell you. "When we get there don't get in our way and listen to any order your given. "I get it. "Good cause what's on the line for you in particular is massive.
"Whatever. Chief proceeds to grab Traoq by his shoulder and pull him back towards him. "Acting tough is far different then being tough so remember that.
Traoq doesn't respond instead heads into the ship where Chief soon follows. He then heads over to the front of the ship towards the pilot who looks full of excitement.
"Hey so uh are we ready? "Yes take us to the fortress. "Traoq this is our pilot Teqa. "Good to see you seeing how we heard so much about you here at HQ.
"Turns out I was wrong your not an uncaring psychopath like I thought you were. "Well that or some king of cuisine type chef. "Really? "Yeah I kinda was thinking about it way more than I should've.
"Also seeing that your here I have to ask how was Earth? "I would love to go there one day. "Go right on ahead even though I wouldn't recommend it.
"What do you mean? "It's quite the long story. "Ok I can respect that. "Look enough of this sweet talk Teqa get us in the air. Chief says getting annoyed at Traoq speaking to Teqa.
"You got it Chief. "Alright hang on guys and gal we'll be there in no time. Traoq rests his head hoping that they get to the fortress that way he can get this mission over with. Then be able to go home and relax to himself.
They were getting closer to where Aquid and Qaet's fortress was. For what Traoq was able to see the planet he was on was great. It was almost like a functioning planet with somewhat decent people.
Which isn't really a common thing for us..uh sorry I meant to say for Traoq. He had gotten used to being on Earth that he had forgotten how oppressive it was back home.
His home planet was already conquered several years ago by an unknown invader. The reason he decided to choose to be remain anonymous was for his own safety.
The last thing he wanted was to have a situation similar to what Larb went through with Vort. He's probably dead for that choice or who knows he could be thriving.
"Ok listen up. Chief says in a demanding tone. "This mission is going to require us to split up into four separate groups. "Qaot your to collect any and all information you can from thier mainframe.
"That shouldn't be a issue. "Good one more thing. "Don't read any of what you see. "I'll let the nerds back at HQ decipher what you find. "They'll know more about it than we will.
"Teko your to set charges around the foundation of the fortress. "Once we have them in custody we'll go and destroy their base in the process.
"Can do. "Kid your to wait for us to finish the mission then we'll exfil as fast as we entered. "As long as I get to continue flying us around than I am on board.
"Look I know your excited but try and stay focused during this. "Ok sorry. "Traoq your with me that way I can keep an eye one you. "Remember we're here to look for Aquid and Qaet.
"One more thing we are to keep them alive at all costs. "Do you think you can handle that? "Yeah as long I can get out of here. "Don't worry you'll get to leave after this mission is over.
"Until then your stuck with us. Traoq couldn't be more annoyed than he already was at what Chief was saying during the ride to Aquid and Qaet's fortress.
"Uh Chief I think there's an issue? "What is it? "There seems to be another ship in front of us. Before he gets any chance to properly react to what's happening the ship in question starts shooting at them.
"QUICK GET DOWN! After hearing that they all dive to the ground quickly as a barrage of lasers enter through the front and through the back like nothing.
"Kid you ok up there? Chief says in a concerned matter towards Teqa. "Uh yeah I am doing great. "If you count nearly dying a factor than terrible.
"Don't worry about us we're fine. Traoq says sounding frustrated towards Chief. "Forgive me for being concerned about our pilot. Chief responds equally as frustrated as Traoq.
"Chief I think whoever attacked us is calling us. "Answer it. "On it. Teqa presses a button that answers the call and shows two figures inside staring back at everybody.
"Going somewhere? "Aquid. Chief said in a hate filled tone in his voice. "You have some nerve shooting at us. "Says the ones intruding on our territory.
"I'd suggest not going any further. "Either leave or I'll go and take out the other engine on that ship of yours. "Not likely. "You and Qaet are being brought into custody.
"Sorry but that's not happening. "This is your final chance to turn the ship around and leave quietly. "Your threats mean nothing to me. "Fine have it your way then.
"Kid quick bring us down. "I can't the downward thrusters are destroyed. "We're backed into a corner with nowhere to go. "Honestly it's a miracle we're still in the air.
"Uh what do we do? Teko said in a nonchalant manner at the situation forming. "Qaot get the chutes ready. "On it. "Everybody get ready looks like we're parachuting into the fortress.
"Kid your going to. "Cool field work this is going to be great. "Yeah it's more stupid than great. Traoq says to himself again hating that he was nearly shot and killed by his old friend.
Which is an understandable feeling I couldn't imagine anybody liking that. "Quick put on a chute and let's get going. "Skydiving not on my bucket list but is sure going to be interesting.
"You think I am joking with you? None of them answer as they all get ready to dive out of the ship. Aquid didn't take to kindly to not getting an answer.
"Don't say I didn't try being nice. "Guess we have do this the difficult way. They all dive out of the ship as another barrage of lasers shot out the other engine.
Their ship went flying down after that being rendered useless. Though shortly after that Aquid sees that they dove out at the last second. He was less than pleased to see that they were still alive.
"Clever but still you should've left while you had the chance. "This is what I get for being friendly to you. Aquid says as the pilot flys down after them.
They were falling down as fast as they were flying and in no time were on the ground inside of the fortress. "Woo hoo that was awesome. "Don't celebrate yet kid we still got a lot left to do.
"We have to hurry before any reinforcements show up. "Finally something I agree with you on. "How about we focus on the mission. Chief responds with a slight irritation.
"Chief's right we still got their mainframe and the charges left. Teko said reminding Traoq of their mission. "You and I should probably get going then.
"Who knows when Aquid will be here in that gunship. "Ok but you better keep up. "Trust me I thrive in missions like this. "Then we shouldn't be wasting our time.
"Right look the two of you get going we're on the clock here. Qaot and Teko silently agree before heading off to do thier part in the mission.
"They do this all the time? Traoq asks while trying not to laugh at Chief's agitated look. "Yes over the years they've became friends by doing this type of stuff together.
"Believe me when I say after this mission we'll never have to worry about that again. "What do you mean by that? "That they'll never do this again while on a mission.
"What you have trust issues? "To be honest the only person I don't trust is you. "Cause to me your nothing but a stuck up snob who takes things to seriously.
"If I didn't act the way I do then everybody would be like you an entitled delinquent. "Glad to see that we still understand how we feel about each other.
There was a long pause after thier argument. Both of them stared into each others eyes with anger being the only thing they were showing out of restraint.
"Ok so uh what's next Teqa chimes in trying to lighten the mood before the two of them try and kill each other. Chief eventually looks over to the young pilot and responds.
"Your going to need to hide near the entrance while we finish this. "I want to contribute though. "Trust me you'll be doing us a huge service by hiding.
"I guess if that's what needs to be done. "Good hurry quickly. Teqa runs and hides between an opening in the wall. "We'll be back here once we're done.
"I'll be waiting so uh good luck and..don't die. Traoq all of a sudden tackles Chief to the ground and pulls him into cover. "What is wrong with you? "I saved your life is what's wrong with me.
"What are you talking about? Another barrage of lasers filled the area as Chief got his answer. "Thought you could outsmart me by leaping from your ship could you.
"Thanks I guess. "Fine next time I'll let you get mowed down by a gunship. "Right I get it. "Thank you. "Your welcome. Both of them remain in cover as Aquid continues his rambling.
"If you think we'll let you arrest us after we found out the secrets you've been trying to hide then your wrong. "What's he talking about? "Don't worry about it.
"Your mistaken cause it's time for you to go up against the wall and I am the wall. Chief looks back at Traoq before giving him a command. "Ok we need to rethink this.
"We're going to have to shoot him down. "I got a way we can do that. "How? "Shoot the pilot out the ship and he's done. "Ok but don't let me do this myself.
The two shoot at the ship and though it took them some time they eventually get the pilot. Aquid was far from pleased with them doing that.
"Ugh..do you have any idea how much monies this pilot cost us to hire? "Consider yourselves grateful that I don't know how to fly this stupid thing.
A couple of minutes went by of the ship swerving around before flying at them. "RUN! The two ran into Teqa's hiding spot after Chief shouted that command.
The entrance to the fortress was destroyed as the ship flew through the doors and crashed into some rocks. "Teqa keep an eye on him to see if he's dead.
"I thought you said to hide? "Do it then go back to hiding. "Ok. "What if he's alive? "Then carry him to your hiding spot. "There's no way he's in a fighting mood after that.
"What's next? "We head up to that tower up there. "That's no doubt where Qaet is hiding. "CHIEF HE'S ALIVE! "Great. "Take him and hide quickly.
"CAN DO! Both Chief and Traoq run towards an entrance that lead them into a corridor. They get behind cover and draw their guns as two henchmen enter the room as well.
"So much for it being easy. "How about we joke less and focus on getting rid of these two. "What do you think I am doing? A voice is then heard over a loudspeaker and it sounds confused.
"Traoq...hold on am I seeing this right? "Mate what are you doing here? "I thought you were in prison. "Look uh I hope you don't mind the guards thier for my protection.
"I bet they are. "Remember we need him alive. "I get it you need him and Aquid alive. "Wait you want Aquid that's even better than I had hoped. "I thought he was dead that rotten coward.
"Spends half of our budget on a gunship only to crash it. "We aren't made of monies you know. "That much is obvious. If it wasn't obvious the voice over the speaker was Qaet.
"Hold on I thought you two were working together. "We were until he tried breaking you out of prison which was the whole point of selling you out in the first place.
"What were you going to betray him to. "That is such a heinous thing to say that I would do. "Granite I totally would do such a thing like that. Qaet says in a tone that doesn't sound genuine.
"Yeah well your hopes of getting will fail. "It matters not if I fail you and your friend there aren't getting any farther. "We'll see about that old friend.
"Enough it looks like I'll have to finish what the guards and Qeot failed to do to you in that prison and that's kill you. "You know what to do boys get rid of them.
The two henchmen begin shooting as they entered cover to protect themselves. Bullets flew everywhere as it took quite some time for anybody to be hit by one.
Your probably wondering how their not laser weapons. The answer to your question isn't that difficult to find out. You see them using bullet weapons isn't by choice.
If your not curious than well to bad your learning with the rest of us. Like I said the answer to the question isn't that difficult to find out.
As we all know The Irken Armada likes to conquer stuff. That being said them confiscating weapons such as guns that shoot lasers doesn't sound to out of the ordinary does it?
This led people to be forced to find an weaker but still effective alternative to a laser gun. Though I wouldn't be shocked if The Tallest had those confiscated to.
In terms of guards they both looked like the average looking gun toting henchmen that you see in action movies. With an alien type look of course we want to be at the very least consistent.
Descriptions didn't matter though as Chief and Traoq went through the corridor taking out the guards. Once they cleared the room both of them headed to a room that was at the back of the corridor they were in.
"We're clear. "Seriously Qaet that was that it, only two guards? "I could only afford the two of them. "Besides all the other monies went into this fortress and Aquid's stupid gunship.
"Guess your hopes of killing me failed. "Look whatever your doing here please let me live "Your in luck because I have orders to keep you alive.
"I doubt it. "I have enough to deal with already. "Can't the two of you leave?"Your not getting away especially after what you've done to me. The speaker abruptly shuts off as Qaet presumably goes to hide in the room he was in.
"Not bad Traoq. "You being nice to me. "That's sweet. "You love to make people hate your guts don't you. "I try especially when they force me to work for them.
"Like I said that is only for our benefit and nothing more. "Couldn't have you running around without some consequences if you acted out.
"You make it seem like you think I am the irken that wants this planet "Trust me I don't think that at all. "Then what is it with you treating me like a child?
"All I'll tell you is that you can't trust people in this world. "There are more people waiting to stab you in the back than you think. "I know that feeling. "It's like you think you know those you trust and then out of nowhere they turn on you.
"It makes you think about what went wrong and how you could've fixed it. "After today we won't have to worry about that. "I sure hope that's the case.
They reach the door and kick it open and aim thier guns at Qaet who was hiding under his desk. "Out of hiding spots Qaet? "Look Traoq I swear this isn't what it looks like.
"Explain it then. "I did it for your benefit. "In there I knew you would be partially safe. "It was an overreaction on my part. "Your only saying that to save your own life.
"Ok that might be true but still don't shoot me man. "I don't have permission to do that. "Which means get up. Qaet reluctantly listens to the command that was given to him.
He was a scruffy looking individual and it showed. He had some small scars on his face and yellow eyes and a brown complexion. Part of his antennas were missing and looked like they were cut off by a blade.
He was wearing a dirty and ripped yet sophisticated looking cloth outfit. "Those guards should've killed you. "If only Qeot had done what I asked him to do.
"The one in charge of Moo Ping 10? "Yes. "Exactly what reason would he have to do business with you? "I promised to split profits with him and the rest of the guards there.
"They get ninety five percent and I get five as well as protection. "I thought he would've sent irken guards. "He lied to me that ignorant little liar.
"Irkens don't listen to anybody outside The Armada especially people like you. "That being said do yourself a favor and shut up for once and surrender. "Fine but you should know that I won't be in prison for long..unlike you.
"Weird that you would say that giving the fact that I have a gun aimed at you. "Yeah but like you said you can't kill me at least not yet. "Accidents end up happening what can I say.
"No look ok what exactly do you want anyways? "Cause whatever it I might not be able to get it for you. Traoq looks to Chief before responding to his old buddy.
"Not sure my friend over there refuses to tell me the full story. Chief moves forward and shows himself more to where Qaet can see him properly.
Qaet once he sees Chief gets even more scared and wanted to run but knew that wasn't a good option for him. "Y..you again. "Hey Qaet it's been quite a long time.
"You don't say. "Wait you two know each other? "We do and I got to say your a persistent man. "I tend to be that way when your wanting to position yourself above us all.
"What do you mean? "Don't worry about it. "He's only saying that in hopes that I'll go easy on him. "I hate to break it to you that's not going to be the case.
"So do us all a favor and hand over the schematics. "There is a issue with that. "I don't have them. "Where are they? "I sold it to try and get people like you off my back.
"Who'd you give it to? "I can't tell you. "Not that I don't want to but if I do he will do very bad things to me. "Those kind of things will be done to you if you don't cooperate.
"No offense but I am far more scared of the person I sold it to after what he did to my last pair of guards. "Hold on what are you you two even talking about?
"It's nothing you need to know. "Cause I know for a fact that you'll try to get involved in some matter and ruin everything. "What makes you think that?
"You've proven over your life that you would do anything to make yourself seem relevant. "That was the old me back when I was younger and far more foolish.
"I've changed a lot over the years and have learned from my mistakes. "Gauntlet. Qaet says interrupting the conversation while nervously staring at thier weapons.
"What? Traoq responds understandably confused at what was said. "Gauntlet it's one of the things shown on the schematics. "If constructed it has the capability to hypnotize and control any living creature.
"There are other things like that are equally as dangerous. "I also remember seeing a more horrible way of getting that result. "I believe that there was tools you'd insert in the person's brain.
Both of these comments shook Traoq to his core as he couldn't believe what he had heard Qaet say as nonchalantly as possible. He couldn't fully process what he even said.
"No that can't be real. "Your making that up. "If I still had the schematics than I'd show you. "It's real and is dangerous. "There was only enough resources though to make two of those tools.
"The gauntlet on the other hand is more than capable of being used without much maintenance. "Only good thing is that the effects can be undone. "Is there a reason that your saying this.
"Cause we have history. "That and I'll be a dead man walking regardless of what I do. "Besides he doesn't deserve to have this info "Who Chief? "Yes unlike me and Aquid we had wanted destroy them.
"I might not know much but this I know and that's he can not have access to these things. "He can't be trusted with them. "Is there anything else you can tell me about this.
"When I gave it away..I had hoped that it would be destroyed. "That wasn't the case. "It's instead in the hands of an irken that will most definitely tell The Tallest about it.
"He on the other hand wants to use it to try and police us all and it's beyond cruel even for me. Traoq doesn't know how to respond to what's being said to him by Qaet.
"He'd become no better than The Irken Armada in terms of tyranny. "I wasn't the only one who knew his colleagues they knew as well or at least had suspicions.
"You referring to Teko and Qaot. "Yes we had spoken about how we would. A gun goes off interrupting Qaet before he could finish what he wanted to say.
Upon further observation we see that Qaet had a newfound hole in his head. He was shot in the face which sent him falling face first on the table with blood slowly spilling out.
Traoq turns to see Chief aiming at him with his gun. "I had hoped it wouldn't have to get to this point. "Alas that wasn't the case and here we are.
"So he wasn't lying seeing how you shot him. "That wasn't what I wanted originally. "Then what was it then. "I didn't want him going to The Tallest with this news as it would label me a public enemy.
"Both him and Aquid knew how to deal with this by giving the schematics to an irken they believed it be willing to get rid of it. "Though I knew that would never be the case.
"Which is exactly what caused me to do this in the first place. "I was going to use the schematics to try and end tyranny not become one myself. "Nobody believed me.
"I can't blame them for thinking that. "When I had figured out that Teko and Qaot were plotting behind my back to end this so called bad idea I learned one thing.
"That being that they had to go and there was only one chance of doing it. "What do you mean? "Your quite the idiot Traoq. "Haven't you noticed we haven't got any kind of update from them?
"It's because I did what I needed to do to ensure they died. "The guns they had were defunct and broken. "I gave them the wrong frequency on their comms tool to use before the mission.
"Even their so called objectives lead them to where I had people waiting to get rid of them. "My guess is that their dead and if not then close to it. "It was the only way to ensure they didn't ruin this for us.
"You calling me a delinquent is weird seeing how your doing this. "Don't try and pull that on me. "How many times have you done something cruel to people?
"Tons but they've usually been ideas from people stupider than I ever could be. "Though this is next level stupid. "Saving the universe is stupid to you?
"No but doing it like this is far from the right choice. "There are times when you have to do whatever it takes to get rid of an enemy like The Irken Armada.
"Cause lets face facts how else are people like us going to stop them before it's to late. "Doing this was the only way to save us and anybody who disagrees settles for thier oppression and should die with them.
"With those schematics we can be at peace once more. "And I won't let people like you ruin it. "Sorry to break it to you but this isn't seeing the light of day.
"You sure because the way I see it's far from over. "Qaet, Teko and Qaot are dead. "Soon you and Aquid will be to. "What about Teqa? "That kid is far to clueless to do anything.
"It's almost funny. "He won't be an issue but besides that your death is required. "What's the matter to afraid to fight me unarmed? "No it's that there is to much on the line for me to stoop to your level.
"With that being said you should be glad It'll be over quickly. "Don't worry I'll do us proud and if anybody else gets in the way they'll die like the rest.
"Go on then shoot me and get it over with. "I don't think you get the reason I haven't shot you yet. "If your going to ask me to join you than your even stupider than I thought.
"So go on and shoot me cause I under no circumstances will join you..Chief. "Of course have it your way then. "I had hoped for once that you'd make the right decision.
"Guess I was stupid to believe you'd make the right choice. "You know me always have to disappoint people like you. Traoq says looking defiant like usual which no doubt annoyed Chief somewhat.
As Chief was about get rid of Traoq he suddenly lets out a pained scream before dropping his gun. Traoq looked up to see that Teqa had hit him upside the head with a rock.
"K..kid What are you doing? "My name is Teqa. "You on the other hand aren't the hero you say you are. "No your nothing but a monster. "How much of that did you hear?
"After the gunshot is what I heard. "You killed Teko and Qaot. "They were our family and you had them killed all because they saw the real you.
"Real me this was the only way we could find peace once again. "At the cost of ruining lives and turning us into slaves. "It's far more than that. "We'd never have to worry about conflict ever again.
"We would finally have peace but at what cost? "To make them fear us? "To make them mindless slaves that you'd treat like expendable pieces of garbage.
"I wouldn't expect you to understand. "Is it because I am far to clueless to know anything? "I considered you the only family that I had left after what happened to my parents.
"You don't get it. "Those schematics are the only hope for the future of us all. "There's always another way that doesn't involve everyone being your slave.
Teqa ends up getting a backhand to the face after that comment as it seems like Chief had heard enough. Traoq proceeded to grab Chief by his antennas and throw him to the side after slapping the young pilot.
He went to punch him and managed to hit him twice before being kicked in a place that no man should ever be kicked. This send Traoq to the ground in pain as Chief went to grab his gun again.
Teqa tried running over to aid Traoq but was instantly hit upside the face with the gun. Chief then turns his attention back to Traoq and aims the gun at his head.
"It's over for you Traoq. "Do it...get it over with already. "Suit yourself. We then hear another gunshot but it wasn't Traoq who was shot. This confused him cause he though he or Teqa was shot.
It was in fact Chief who had a bullet wound in his head. He stumbled around for quite some time before turning to see none other than Aquid standing at the doorway struggling to stand.
Chief then fell to the ground and the blood started to spill out of his head. Aquid throws the gun to the side before heading over to Traoq in a hurry.
"Walk if off man you've been through worse. He said with a pleased look on his face. Traoq was still in disbelief at what was happening and didn't respond.
"Reasonable response after what you've been through. Aquid says then lends his hand out for Traoq. He took it and managed to stand up looking at back Aquid with confusion.
Aquid had a grey long sleeve shirt on that had a purple outline around it. He also had black pants and gloves that looked like they were knitted for him.
All of which was slightly torn after the ship went crashing into the rocks outside the fortress. "Is there a reason you saved me? "Well unlike Qaet who had lied to both you and me I wanted you to stay after the big fight we had.
"I am truly sorry about everything. "He lied to the two of us. "It's fine man don't worry. "Look I need to ask what's the deal about those schematics?
"The first thing that I can say is that whoever has them is quite a dangerous man. "Parts of it seemed confusing but we had hoped that whoever Qaet gave it to would destroy it.
"Who'd he give it to? "Honestly I wish I could tell you. "Qaet hid that information from me. "All I know is that they were an irken who needed it to use against somebody that was bothering them. "That he did tell me.
"No wonder he wanted it. Teqa said looking upset that Chief did what he did to not only him but to Qaot and Teko. "Yeah it's quite a tragedy. Traoq said showing little respect for Chief.
He stared at both Chief and Qaet's lifeless body before chiming back into the conversation. "Uh thanks for having our backs back there I appreciate it.
"Don't worry about it. "Sorry for..you know shooting you out of the air. "I lived so no harm done. "Hey we should probably get out of here. Teqa says with a slightly nervous look on his face.
"What's the hurry? "Me and Traoq are having a rekindling conversation. "The charges? "The..what? "We had people rig this place to be destroyed. "It's more like a deadly neurotoxin if anything.
"Fine and uh how long until that happens? Aquid says as he starts to get nervous. "About a minute. "Then lets get out of here before we breath that in.
They waste no more time running out the fortress. "Quickly I'd rather not have my lungs destroyed by this. "I don't see you running any faster.
"TWELVE SECONDS!! Teqa shouts trying but failing to not panic. Eventually they manage to escape the fortress at the dramatic one second to spare.
Though they keep running to make sure that the neurotoxin doesn't expand closer to them. "HQ THIS IS TEQA WE NEED AN EVAC TO OUR LOCATION QUICKLY!
"Understood in fact there's a ship not that far away heading to you as we speak. "THANKS! "We got to keep going. "How much longer? "Up that hill.
After all the running and panicking they eventually find the ship. "Hey guys uh heard you needed a ride. "Yes we do. "Won't be a issue for me. "Hang on it'll be a long ride til we get back to HQ.
"Then let's get going. Traoq says wanting to leave this place as soon as possible. "I second that. Aquid says shortly after what Traoq said..obviously.
"Then lets get going. The Pilot says as he flies them away as the neurotoxin fills the area around where they were. "I thought we were here was to arrest them. "Where's the other one and where is Chief and the others?
"Look things changed and people died. "Chief..he alongside Qaot and Teko are dead. Teqa struggles to say as he tries to fight back the urge to cry.
"They meant a lot to you didn't they? Traoq asks trying to comfort the young soldier. "Yeah they were the only family that I had left after my old family were killed in cold blood.
"The man responsible had people do it for him all because he was a coward. "Hope that one day we find him and lock him away forever. Teqa says while tears rolled down his face.
"We might not be able to know how you feel cause neither of us had that issue. "He's right my sister might've tried to stab me but that's not at all close to how you feel currently.
"Thanks. "Don't mention it you did technically save both of us from being shot. "I did. "Say uh seeing that thier dead who's going to run that base of yours?
"I was going to when I was older but I guess that's been fast tracked. "Don't worry the two of you are safe and don't need to worry about the pendulum that he had over you.
"Smart choice..uh what's his name again I kinda forgot? "It's Teqa. "Got it. "Say Aquid back in the fortress Qaet said you tried breaking me out of Moo Ping 10.
"Yeah I tried but one the security is tight and Qaet was constantly like..no no don't do it he needs to be there. "Seriously? "Something close to that.
"Glad to know you wanted to break me out. "We might disagree on a lot but hey we're still mates. "That and we have Teqa and a pilot this is next level. "I think we finally made it Traoq.
"Well you enjoy that. "I on the other hand am going to try to rest after that mess that we had to deal with. "I'll be sure to wake you when get back to base. Teqa says in a little more cheered up mood than before.
"Appreciate it. Traoq responds back before trying to indeed rest off what was quite the day for him. Let's hope things can go his way next time on whatever journey he ends up.
Giving how things went for him today it wouldn't take much. Until then he could at rest easy knowing that he no longer had any restraints being held over his head.
"My Tallest it is done. "Great so is he ready? Red responds to the irkens statement. "Yes all we're going to need is him to be on the designated planet. Purple chimes in with a statement of his own.
"Great then bring him here so that we can get started. "I'll get on it right away my tallest. "Then your dismissed. Red says to the soldier who salutes before leaving the room.
"You sure this will work? "Yes it will once he get's here than we'll send him over to that planet and get rid of him once and for all. Red says answering Purple's question.
"Until then keep your cool and don't let him get suspicious. "Pfft that'll be easy. "He's to much of an idiot to see that we hate him. "You got a point.
"This might be easier than I thought. "Yep can't wait for it all to go down. "It'll be great. Purple says as he and Red turn their attention back to observing everybody else in the room.
