Hi, well it's still going to take a while.

Enjoy tho!

Paige was sitting next to Draco in the Hogwarts train. Blaise and Pansy were sitting opposite of them. It was quiet.

Paige didn't feel like talking; she was reading a book about quidditch. She actually found it interesting. But her nerves got to her quite often, feeling a wave of panic come over her. She was going to have to talk to Harry, kiss him. Act like nothing's wrong. He's gonna ask about the connection that is broken. Would he not suspect something is up. And she would betray him.

Blaise was looking at her. Paige smiled and looked back at her book. Mother had said she got some students to keep an eye on her. This was such a mess, Paige thought.

Draco also glanced over to her once in a while. He kept on giving her water and pumpkin juice. Paige gladly took it, thanking him each time.

After a while she excused herself to go to the toilets. She put her book down and walked out of the compartment. Hoping she wouldn't walk into Harry. But just when she wanted to enter the toilets she spotted him walking this way. Before he could spot her she got into the bathroom. Her heart was pounding hard against her chest.. She waited a while before opening the door, she didn't see Harry anymore so she started to make her way back.

When she arrived back Draco, Blaise and Pansy stopped talking immediately. Paige ignored it and went back to her reading. Paige looked up, sure that she heard something above her, so did Draco. She didn't see anything and got back to her book. Draco kept staring.

When the train stopped everyone packed their stuff and started to walk out.

'Draco are you coming?' Paige asked when she saw he hadn't moved.

'I'll be right behind you.' He said standing up.

Paige shrugged and walked out with Pansy and Blaise. They almost reached the carriage. When she noticed. Paige had left her book on the train.

'Sorry guys, I have to go back. Left my book.' She said, making her way back to the train. She saw Draco come out of the train.

'Coming back for me?' He asked, grinning.

Paige laughed, still feeling pain in her stomach when she did. 'No.' Paige said, passing him. 'Forgot my book.' She said getting inside the train again. She had a feeling as if Draco reached out his hand to stop her. Back he retracted his hand fast and walked on.

She walked back to her seat and saw her book. Picked it up and wanted to walk away but fell over something. A loud thud sounded as she hit the floor.

'You have got to be kidding me.' Paige muttered, 'My headache was just gone.' She rubbed her forehead.

She stood up and looked behind her. She didn't see anything.

'Weird, I swear.' She placed her hand on the floor to feel. Suddenly she felt something, a body covered in a fabric. She grabbed the fabric and pulled off.

'Harry!' She gasped, quickly grabbed her wand and cast a spell under her breath. Harry moved again and stood up hastily. His nose was bleeding and if she was not mistaken, broken as well.

Harry and Paige stared at each other for a moment. Paige's heart pounding in her ears. She couldn't believe he was standing before her. She felt a bit nauseous, thinking about her assignment.

Harry suddenly took a step forward and hugged her. She could feel him shaking.

He held her so tight like he would never let go. 'I thought I would never see you again.' He said on her shoulder. She felt warm tears fall on her cloak.

Paige stayed quiet holding on to Harry's robs. Trying to stay strong to not let him see how much this hurted her inside. She wanted to cry, tell him what really happened this summer, what they ordered her to do. The only reason she was still alive.

'Harry…' She whispered, gently pushing him back a bit. 'Did you feel what happened to me this summer?' She asked him.

'Yes, I felt it.' He said finally letting go of her. 'The connection, it became so much weaker and then it disappeared. I was sure you were dead Paige.'

'I'm sorry you thought that.' She said, avoiding his eyes. She hadn't even thought about that, the possibility that he thought she had died… Tears formed in her eyes.

'That's not your fault!' Harry stated. 'What happened, how are you here?'

Paige felt herself sweating. 'Well.. my.. dad. He stood up for me finally. Convinced them to let be back to Hogwarts. That it was just stupid love making me rebel like this. That's why they…' Paige was trying to keep her cool. 'Make me break the connection.' She finished.

Harry was silent for a moment, he was thinking. 'You broke the connection?' He finally asked. Paige felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. She shouldn't have said that.

'If I didn't they would have killed me.' Paige added. This was not a lie, she thought, struggling to look Harry in the eye.

'Then it was the right thing to do.' Harry said determinedly, pulling Paige back into a hug. Paige felt her muscles relaxed for the first time in a long time. She hugged him back, feeling safe again. But then the panic rose up again. She was a danger to be around Harry, if he would tell her about the prophecy she had to tell that to her mother. She could better keep her distance.

'Harry, I…' She felt so nervous, but this was for the best if Harry didn't trust her anymore he would never tell her, right? 'I don't know if I can do this again.'

Harry looked up, looking confused. 'What do you mean?'

Paige avoided his eyes. 'I can't be your girlfriend anymore. They.. They almost killed me.' She couldn't believe what was coming out of her mouth. 'It's better if we keep some distance between us.'

Harry shook his head. 'No you're not saying this.' Harry stumbled, looking ghostly pale. 'They are making you say this aren't they?' Harry sounded so hurt. Voice trembled heavily, his hands shaking.

'No, this is just me.' She said quietly before turning around and walked away leaving Harry standing alone in the train. Before she got out she heard Harry say, 'I'm not giving up on you Paige, not this easily!'

Paige felt tears stream over her cheeks. This was for the better, she thought. Better than betraying him.

When Paige arrived in the great hall, she hastily placed herself next to Draco. He saw her puffy eyes, red from crying.

'Are you okay?' He asked, placing a hand on her back. Paige shrugged, placing her head on Draco's shoulder. Completely forgetting the fact Draco was the last one to see Harry before she found him on the floor. Draco looked somewhat relieved she didn't mention it..

Paige looked up, the sorting already happened and the feast was starting. Wonderful delicious food appeared before her but Paige didn't touch any of it. Nore did Draco.

They lost their connection. She said horrible things to him. The warm feeling in her heart that always reminded her of him was gone. It felt like a black hole... Nothing could make it right.

She didn't look up when Harry came in. His nose still bleeding he walked to his friends and sat down. Out of the corner of her eyes she looked at him. Ginny of all people helped him with his nosebleed.

Which officially made Paige jealous. But there was nothing she could do now. Maybe it was better if Harry realized there was someone better than her. She should be happy if he found someone else.

Dumbledore was speaking again but Paige didn't listen. She looked at her empty plate. Drops of tears fell on her plate, one by one.

She tried to stop but she couldn't, the pain in her chest kept growing. Paige started to wonder if death would be better than this. Yes, she was in Hogwarts, friends beside her but she had to see Harry every day. It would have hurt less if she wasn't here anymore.

Paige woke up the next morning, she felt a little bit better. Her aching body had rested enough to not feel pain with every step she took.

Together with Pansy she walked down stairs to get some food. Paige hadn't eaten in a while so it didn't surprise her, her stomach was begging for food.

Pansy really tried, she did. To cheer Paige up.

Telling every joke or pun she knew and she did manage to get a smile on Paige's face. Draco and Blaise sat down next to them.

'Is that a smile I see?' Blaise said, sounding somewhat relieved.

Paige nodded, now able to eat some food. Draco didn't say anything, he just sat close to Paige laying his head on her shoulder.

Paige wanted to ask him what was going on with him but didn't want to ask in front of Blaise and Pansy. She thought he would be thrilled about her breaking up with Harry.

Snape passed all the six year students to make their time tables. When he arrived at Paige, he gave her a nod and handed over her timetable. She had Potions, D.A.D.A, Charms, Divination and Care of Magical Creatures.

Draco looked at Paige's time table, and Paige grabbed Draco's; theirs were almost the same. Potions, D.A.D.A, Charms, Divination but then Transfiguration.

'Why did you choose Care of magical creatures?' Draco asked in disgust, giving her back her time table.

'Because I like the class, I like magical creatures.' Paige answered, eating her food. Draco's look of disgust didn't go away. 'Right..' He just muttered.

'But.. I got potions now.' Paige mumbled with food in her mouth. Her spirit felt lighter.

Her slytherin friends followed her. Seeing they all had potions now.

The four of them sat down next to each other. Paige looked around.. Only Hermione was in this class.. Good, she thought. She wouldn't get distracted by the presence of Harry.

The new potions professor stepped in the class. Professor Slughorn, he looked at the class.

He gave Paige a little nod. Paige knew him, he tutored her father many years ago.

'Come around,' He said pointing at his desk. Multiple potions stood there. 'Alright, lets-'

Two boys rushed into the classroom. Paige's heart dropped when she saw that it was Harry and Ron. Damn, Paige thought avoided his gaze.

'Sorry, we are late.' Harry said looking at Paige that officially was avoiding his eyes.

'That's alright Harry,' Slughorn said, 'Was wondering where you were, get your books so we can get started.

'Sir, Ron and I didn't know we could have potions so we don't have our books...'

'Alright, just get some old copies from the cabinet.' Slughorn turned around to his students. 'Right, can someone tell me what these potions are?'

Paige saw immediately what it was but didn't bother to say as Hermione was raising her hand.

'Yes, miss?' Slughorn looked at Hermione.

'Granger, Sir.' She said, and stepped forwards looking at the table.

Paige muttered the names under her breath to Draco, 'Polyjuice Potion, Amortentia…'

Hermione said precisely the same.

The love potion, Paige could smell it from here..

She could smell; A blown out candle, the smell of rain and… Harry. She smelled Harry...

She glanced at Harry, who unfortunately for Paige was already looking at her. Paige quickly looked away again. Her heart gave a small jump... But the connection was still gone.

'Yes,' Slughorn said, snapping Paige out of her trance. 'This is a curious little potion named Felix Felicis.'

Paige looked up with amaze. Felix Felicis, liquid luck... She looked at Draco who surprisingly looked much better than before.

'If you are able to brew a perfect draught of the living death, this liquid luck is yours.'

Everyone got moving, faster and more motivated than ever before. Paige was grinning, she knew a few tricks nobody else would know. She learned them from Snape, who is the best.

But even with the tips she got from Snape, this potion stayed tricky.

After a long hour, Paige looked at an almost perfect draught of the living death.

'Almost' Slughorn said and walked on. Paige looked at the brew of Draco, which was not almost perfect, far from it.

'Perfect' Paige heard Slughorn, she looked up and saw he was standing by Harry cauldron. Her mouth opened a bit, not believing it. She never knew Harry was so good at potions. That and the instructions were no good at all to actually make the perfect Draught of the living death.

Slughorn handed over felix felicis to Harry. He smiled holding the bottle, looking at Paige and winked. Paige's heart was beating way too loud. The bell rang and Paige almost ran out of the classroom. She wanted to go to the bathroom, but almost collided with some Ravenclaw girl.

'I'm sorry,' Paige said.

'That's okay, just don't set me on fire.' The Ravenclaw girl said.

'Of cours-' Paige looked up in panic. 'What did you just say?'

The girl smiled, 'We hear stories you know. Just because you have a wealthy family doesn't mean you're safe.' She walked away, hitting Paige her shoulder with hers.

More students came out of their classrooms, but Paige just stood there.
