At Gautama Park, a sprawling oasis of green in the heart of the city, a large pond sparkles in the sun. In the center of the pond, a massive Deinosuchus can be seen with its head poking out from the water. Zach perches on the giant crocodile's snout, fishing with a makeshift rod made from a stick and some twine. The park is filled with lush vegetation, and the tranquil sound of running water can be heard throughout the area.
"See, I told you I knew the way," Zach boasted to Deinosuchus, who let out a low growl in response. A hint of annoyance crossed Zach's face as he stuck his tongue out, but he quickly put it aside, saying "Well, at least we made it here."
The two remained silent, with the only sounds being the gentle rippling of the water and the soft hum of Zach's fishing line.
"Suchus, do you have a family?" Zach asked, breaking the silence between them. The large dinosaur let out a low grumble, acknowledging Zach's question. "You did? Were they big like you?"
Deinosuchus responded with a grumble, causing Zach to look disappointed. As Zach continued to ask questions, including some childish ones, they were unaware of someone watching them from inside a nearby bush. Two glowing eyes observed them, and the Alpha Trio was standing right beside them.
Ursula asked her two chibi dinosaurs, Spiny and Tank, "There it is, are you ready?" Both of them growled in response.
Zander and Ed, pulled out their Alpha scanners. They quickly turned Spiny and Tank into cards and slashed them into the slots.
Meanwhile, Zach whined, "Awww man, nothing's biting on my line! Come on, you stupid fish!" as he noticed his bait wasn't attracting any fish.
Suddenly, a shadow fell over them, and as they looked up, they saw Spiny and Tank crashing into Deinosuchus. The impact was so strong that Zach was knocked off the giant crocodile's snout and into the water below. Zach starts flailing in the water, struggling to keep his head above the surface as he begins to sink. Meanwhile, Deinosuchus is fully engaged in a fight with Spiny and Tank, oblivious to Zach's predicament. Spiny and Tank circle around Deinosuchus in the lake, ready to attack. Deinosuchus growls menacingly, preparing to defend himself.
Spiny charges forward with a fierce growl, leaping at Deinosuchus with his sharp claws extended. But Deinosuchus is quick to react, snapping his jaws shut just inches from Spiny's face. Spiny dodges to the side and counters with a swift tail whip, smacking Deinosuchus in the snout. Meanwhile, Tank charges at Deinosuchus from the other side, her powerful tail leading the way. Deinosuchus tries to dodge, but Tank's tail lands a glancing blow, leaving a gash in his tough hide.
Infuriated, Deinosuchus lunges forward and grabs Tank in his jaws, thrashing her back and forth in the water. Spiny rushes to Tank's aid, sinking his teeth into Deinosuchus' leg. But Deinosuchus shakes his off and turns his attention back to Tank. As Tank charges toward Deinosuchus, the giant crocodile prepares to defend himself. With a powerful swipe of his tail, Deinosuchus smacks Tank, sending her flying out of the water and crashing onto the shore. Deinosuchus had successfully tossed Tank towards the land, leaving her momentarily incapacitated, and let out a triumphant roar.
Meanwhile, Spiny charges toward Deinosuchus from the side, attempting to flank him. But the giant crocodile anticipates his move and quickly turns towards Spiny. With a loud roar, Deinosuchus lunges towards Spiny, jaws open wide. Spiny manages to dodge just in time, narrowly avoiding Deinosuchus' deadly jaws. But the crocodile isn't giving up that easily. He quickly turns towards Spiny and starts snapping his jaws, attempting to catch him in his mouth.
Deinosuchus succeeded in grabbing Spiny by the neck and quickly tossing him deeper into the water. As he focuses his attention back on Tank, she is still struggling to get back on her legs. Seasoning the moment Deinosuchus jumps out of the water and runs towards Tank. While the Alpha gang began frantically panicking, they jumped out of their hiding spot.
"Oh no, he's getting towards Tank!" Ed exclaimed as he watched Deinosuchus charge toward their dinosaur.
"Quick, we have to do something!" Zander shouted as he pulled out his Alpha scanner.
"Then use a move card then!" Ursula Yelled that the two.
Zander quickly searched through his move cards. "I have just the one!" he said as he pulled out a card with a picture of Tank hitting the ground and cracking it open. "Earthquake! Let's do this!"
"Good idea!" Ed agreed.
As Deinosuchus approached Tank, the Alpha Trio sprang into action.
Zander activated the Earthquake move card, and Tank hit the ground with her tail, lifting her right up. She slams her front legs onto the ground, causing a Fisher to appear, and as it makes Deinosuchus squeeze into it, the Fisher closes up, squeezing him and making him roar! But the Deinosuchus ain't going down like this. Suddenly, the air began getting colder as it began snowing. The snowflakes began surrounding Deinosuchus as the giant croc began spinning around. The Alpha Trio watched in amazement as Deinosuchus created a powerful blizzard with his spinning, making it difficult for them to see what was happening.
"Zander, what's going on?" Ursula shouted over the howling winds.
"I don't know, but we have to act fast before he gets away!" Zander yelled back.
"How are we going to do that? We can't see it." Ed asked as he was using his arms to block the howling winds.
Suddenly, Deinosuchus burst out of the blizzard with incredible speed and lunged towards Tank, jaws open wide. Tank quickly reacted, using her tail to hit Deinosuchus, but the giant crocodile dodged her attack and moved behind her. With lightning-fast reflexes, Deinosuchus drilled into her, causing ice to form on Saichania. As Tank became completely frozen in ice, Deinosuchus jumped onto the ground and finished the job.
Meanwhile, Spiny jumped out of the water with Zach clinging to his back. Zach fell to the ground, unconscious with his eyes completely white. Spiny stood over him, ready to deliver the final blow, but Deinosuchus rushed in, interrupting the attack. The giant crocodile had no interest in protecting Zach, but he was determined to finish his fight with Spiny. With a mighty roar, Deinosuchus lunged at Spiny, jaws wide open and ready to strike.
He slammed his powerful jaws onto Spiny's neck, causing the Spinosaurus to let out a loud screech as he tried to wriggle free. However, Deinosuchus' grip was too strong, and he held Spiny in place, determined to finish the fight once and for all. The Alpha Trio watched in horror as Spiny's energy levels began to drop rapidly on the scanner.
"We can't just stand here and watch," Ursula said, her eyes fixed on the scanner as Spiny's energy levels continued to drop. "We have to act fast!"
"I'm on it," Zander said, pulling out Terry's card. "Let's summon Terry and give Spiny some backup!"
"Great idea," Ed nodded in agreement.
Zander quickly slashed the card on the alpha scanner, and a bright light engulfed the area. When the light faded, Terry stood there, roaring loudly and ready to fight.
He looked at his opponent as his eyes widen, seeing Deinosuchus, remembering the last battle he had with him. Terry growls.
"All right Terry we need you..." Ursula was about to order Terry to handle Deinosuchus, But the T-Rex had run off before she finished her sentence.
"Whoa, did Terry just run off?" Ed exclaimed in surprise.
"Looks like Terry has a score to settle with Deinosuchus," Zander said with a smirk.
Terry charged towards Deinosuchus, roaring loudly. The giant crocodile turned his attention away from Spiny and toward Terry. Deinosuchus was surprised to see the Tyrannosaurus alive; he believed he killed him when they had their battle before.
he shakes off his surprise and charges at Terry. The two dinosaurs clashed with incredible force, causing the ground to shake beneath their feet.
Meanwhile, Spiny had recovered from his injuries and was rushing towards Tank, who was still frozen in a block of ice. With determination in his eyes, Spiny began clawing at the ice, trying to free his friend.
Back at the battle, it looked like Terry was winning, but the Deinosuchus, even with these injuries from Spiny and Tank, was still pushing Terry and was not going down easily.
The both of them clashed their tails causing them to be pushed back from each other.
"Now! Volcano Burst" Zander called out as he slash the fire move card on the alpha scanner.
Terry's mouth began to be on fire as he swung his head around and tossed the fire right to the ground as it rushed towards Deinosuchus. Acting quickly, Deinosuchus began to cause the sky to be snowing once again as the snow built up in his hand, circling his webbed claws.
The flames began getting closer. Deinosuchus quickly slammed his claw onto the ground, causing ice spikes to emerge and hit the fire, completely freezing it.
"Terry, no!" Ursula shouted as she saw the attack get blocked. "We have to try something else!"
"I have an idea!" Ed exclaimed as he pulled out his move card. "Spiny, use Tail Smash!"
Spiny turned towards Tank and roared as he swung his powerful tail at the block of ice, shattering it into pieces.
"Good job, Spiny!" Zander praised.
Meanwhile, Terry was still locked in battle with Deinosuchus, who seemed to have the upper hand.
"Now it's time to end this," Ursula said confidently. "Spiny and Tank, go for it!"
Spiny and Tank charged forward toward Deinosuchus, ready to deliver a final blow.
"Shockwave," Zander commanded as he slashed the move card on the alpha scanner.
"Crystal Crusher!" Ed yelled, activating the move card on his own scanner.
But their attacks were interrupted by an unexpected ambush. "Cyclone!" A Carnotaurus rushed in and crashed into Spiny, launching him away as he reverted back into a card.
Meanwhile, Tank had three crystals surrounding her. But before she had a chance to attack, "Thorn whip!" A giant plant's vine had wrapped around her, stopping her movement. The plant's vine began squeezing her as she glowed, reverting back to a card, as a Parasaurolophus head came into the scene.
Both dinosaurs stood in front of Deinosuchus protectively. The Deinosuchus looked confused and a little angry while Terry growled at Paris and Ace, but before he could make a move, Chomp came around and tossed him aside.
"All right, nice job Chomp," Max announced as he arrived on the scene with the D-Team.
"Oh great, now you brats again! We're just about to snag that Deinosuchus before you guys interrupt," Ursula exclaimed, annoyed by their arrival.
"Oh, really, we didn't know," Rex replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes at Ursula's attitude.
"No matter what, you guys are not getting a hand on this Deinosuchus," Max declared.
Suddenly, Deinosuchus knocked Paris and Ace to the ground, shocking Max, Rex, and Zoe.
"Paris and Ace," Zoe and Rex exclaimed.
"What the heck, they were only helping!" Max shouted at Deinosuchus, making the croc snarl at him.
Ursula began to laugh loudly, causing the D-team to look over and see the old lady.
"Seems like Deinosuchus is not on your side," Ursula taunted.
"He's not on your side," Zoe said, reminding Ursula that Deinosuchus wasn't on their side.
"Well, he's not wrong," Zander whispered to the third member, but Ursula overheard and snapped at him.
"Shut up! It doesn't matter what side the crocodile is on," Ursula said, as Terry got back on his feet. "We're still going to capture it!"
Terry roared angrily at Chomp, Ace, and Paris, who all responded with their own ferocious growls. Deinosuchus growls in anger, ready to step in and show these annoying pests that he won't tolerate anyone interfering with his fights. However, in the corner of his eye, he notices something or someone getting up and rushed the head.
Terry was preparing to charge at Chomp, but before he could, something stepped between them, causing both dinosaurs to stop in their tracks. The figure appeared to be panting, with wet patches on its clothing. They looked up at Terry, with some hair covering one of their eyes.
"Your fight is not with them," the figure said, addressing Terry. The T-Rex looked up to see who was speaking and was surprised to see Zach. The D-Team and their dinosaur partners were also taken aback by Zach's sudden appearance.
"Zach!" Max, Zoe, and Rex all exclaimed in unison, but the boy did not turn to look at his friends. Instead, he kept his glare fixed on Terry, who was beginning to get annoyed by Zach's presence.
"Geez, does this kid have a death wish or something?" Ursula remarked, eyeing Zach warily.
"I don't know, but he's crazy for going up against Terry like that," Ed replied, watching with a mix of fear and awe.
"He's got guts, that's for sure," Zander added, his eyes fixed on the intense standoff between Zach and Terry.
Terry had enough of the intense stare-down with Zach and was about to lunge at him with his jaws wide open. Suddenly, Deinosuchus appeared out of nowhere and charged at Terry, using his powerful tail to knock him away. Terry tumbled to the ground, his body slamming against the hard earth with a loud thud. Deinosuchus stood in front of Zach, his sharp teeth bared in warning towards Terry.
Zach looked over at Deinosuchus as a smile appeared on his face. "I figured you would come," he said. Deinosuchus Just hiss at him. Zach just chuckles. "Shishishi, you always have a remark?"
Terry slowly got back up, his eyes locked on Deinosuchus and Zach. He snarled at the two, clearly not pleased with the situation. The D-Team and their dinosaurs stood behind Zach, ready to defend him if necessary.
"Chomp, Ace, and Paris, don't intervene," Zach warned, raising his fist at the D-Team's dinosaurs, who were taken aback by his sudden aggression, including Max, Zoe, and Rex, who were shocked.
"But why, Zach?" Zoe asked.
Zach turned to face the D-Team, a serious expression on his face. "I have my reasons," he said cryptically.
"We can help you!" Max offered.
Zach shook his head. "I'm afraid this is something he has to do on his own." He pointed his finger at Deinosuchus to make them understand why he didn't want them to intervene.
Ursula, Ed, and Zander, who had been watching the scene from afar, decided it was time to make their move. "Stop talking and let's capture that Deinosuchus already!" Ursula shouted, signaling for Tarry to attack.
Deinosuchus rushed ahead, clashing heads with Terry. Deinosuchus charged toward Terry, slamming into him with incredible force, sending him reeling backward. Terry roared in anger and charged back, but Deinosuchus was too quick, dodging out of the way and striking Terry on the side with a powerful tail swipe. Terry stumbled and regained his footing, snarling in frustration as he charged forward again. But Deinosuchus was too nimble, easily dodging Terry's attacks and striking back with his own powerful blows. The battle continued for what felt like an eternity, with both dinosaurs trading blows and refusing to give an inch. But eventually, Deinosuchus gained the upper hand, slamming Terry to the ground with a massive tail swipe that left the T-Rex dazed and struggling to stand.
Deinosuchus then glowed with a bright light, and snow began to fall from the sky, creating a blizzard that engulfed the entire battlefield. The Alpha Gang immediately recognized the move card, while the D-Team struggled to stay on their feet in the midst of the storm.
"What's going on?!" Rex shouted over the howling wind.
"It looks like he's using his move card or something," Zoe guessed, her voice barely audible.
"Is it just me, or did it get colder all of a sudden?" Max said, shivering in the freezing temperatures.
While the D-Team tried to make sense of the situation, Zach held down his straw hat tight on his head, his eyes fixed on Deinosuchus with a wide grin on his face. He was thrilled to see what his potential partner was going to do next.
The blizzard quickly encircled Deinosuchus, covering his head to tail with spinning snowflakes. He rushed at Terry, who was struggling to stand up. With a powerful jump, Deinosuchus spun around like a drill, impacting Terry's abdomen with incredible force. The T-Rex began to be engulfed in ice, as Deinosuchus plowed through him, emerging unscathed behind him.
Terry was completely encased in ice, his body frozen and unable to move. The ice began to crack and shatter into a million pieces as the T-Rex fell to the ground, glowing red as his card fell to the snowy ground.
The D-Team cheered as they saw Deinosuchus emerge victorious, while the Alpha Gang looked on in shock and dismay.
"That was literally the coolest thing I ever saw!" Max exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement.
Rex nodded in agreement. "Still, my guess was right; he was the cause of the downtown situation."
Zoe looked over at her teammates with a worried expression on her face. "I'm just happy he's not fighting with us," she said softly. "I don't know if we could handle that kind of power."
Meanwhile, Zach had already dashed over to Deinosuchus, his face alight with excitement. His teammates tried to stop him, but he was too quick for them.
"Nice job, buddy!" Zach exclaimed, clapping Deinosuchus on the back. "You really showed those Alpha Gang losers who's boss."
Deinosuchus let out a low growl of satisfaction, his eyes gleaming with pride. He may not have been able to speak like humans, but he understood their praise just the same.
"I guess all that fighting tired you out?" Zach asked him, but he didn't get a response from Deinosuchus. He chuckled, having a feeling he was right.
Then something caught Zach's eye, and as he stretched his arm to pick it up, it was Terry's card. He brought it to his face.
"Hey, Terry's card. I guess you revert back into a card." Zach said, taking a good look at the card.
Suddenly, a yellow clamp grabbed onto the card and tried to pull on it even with Zach still holding it, causing his arm to stretch towards the Alpha Gang.
"Let go, brat, that card ain't yours!" Ursula said as she tried to pull the card right out of Zach's grip, which is physically impossible.
"Okay then, here you go," Zach said.
He was letting go of the card and making Ursula, who was pulling on the card, with the aid of Zander and Ed, all collapse onto the ground.
Zach noticed something lying on the ground nearby. It was his Dino holder, which had apparently fallen out of Ed's pocket during the scuffle. Zach picked it up and examined it curiously.
"I wonder where this went," he asked.
Suddenly, Ursula's voice interrupted his thoughts. "You may have beaten us today, but next time we meet, we're going to defeat you!"
Zach waved his hand. "All right then, bye old lady!" he called after the retreating Alpha Gang.
Ursula's face twisted with rage, and she lunged toward him. "How dare you speak to me like that, you little brat!" she screeched.
Ed and Zander quickly stepped in front of her, pushing her back. "Come on, Ursula, let's go," Zander said, grabbing her arm and pulling her away.
"I'm not an old lady!" Ursula yelled one final time, her voice echoing through the empty park.
Zach watched as the Alpha Gang retreated into the distance, their backs hunched over in defeat. He couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as he watched them go.
As Max, Zoe, and Rex caught up to him, Zach turned to them with a grin. "That was intense, right?" he said, still buzzing with adrenaline.
Max chuckled. "Well, I'm glad you're happy about it."
Zoe nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but next time don't run off."
Zach just chuckled, "Don't worry, I won't."
Max, Zoe, and Rex all sweat heavily. As they all said at the same time, All in their heads. "He's so getting lost, next time."
Zach noticed the sweatdrops on his friends' faces and raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong? You guys don't trust me?"
Max, Zoe, and Rex looked at each other, then back at Zach. "Uh, let's just say we've learned to expect the unexpected with you," Rex said, trying to hide a smile.
Zach stuck his tongue out playfully. "Hey, I'm not that unpredictable. And besides, it looks like Chomp and the others are getting along well with Suchus."
As they looked over, Chomp, Paris, and Ace were running around Deinosuchus in their chibi forms. The crocodile was too exhausted to snap at them.
Zoe raised an eyebrow. "Suchus? What kind of name is that?"
"It's short for Deinosuchus," Zach explained. "I figured it's easier to say and suits him."
Rex nodded in agreement. "I have to admit, it does sound cool."
"I like it. It's catchy." Max grinned.
"I guess it's better than naming it after some random food." Zoe chuckled.
"Hey! Meatasaurus is an awesome name!" Zach said defensively, crossing his arms.
The others laughed, and Zach joined in. Finally, he remembered something important and walked over to Deinosuchus.
"Hey Suchus, do you remember my offer?" Zach asked.
Deinosuchus squinted at the boy and let out a growl, indicating that he did.
Zach's smile widened. "That's great! The reason why I brought it up is that I want to invite you to come with us," he explained.
The others looked at Zach in surprise. "Come with us? Where?" asked Max.
"Duh, he's going to be my partner and join our team," Zach said with a sly grin. "He's strong and independent, and he doesn't like to be told what to do. Just like me."
The others exchanged skeptical glances, unsure about the feasibility of Zach's idea.
"But how are we going to change him back to a card?" Rex asked, voicing obvious concern.
Zach tilted his head so much that he resembled a confused puppy trying to solve a math problem. The sweat on his forehead was pouring down like a waterfall, making it seem like he had just gone for a swim.
"Uh, guys, I think we need a plan B," Zach said, looking at his companions with a sheepish grin.
Max, Zoe, and Rex rolled their eyes so hard that it was a wonder they didn't fall out of their sockets. "Plan B? You didn't even have a plan A!" they yelled in unison, shaking their heads in disbelief.
Zach shrugged: "Hey, I never said I was a card-making expert. But can't we just fight him? It worked in Pokemon, didn't it?"
Max, Zoe, and Rex exchanged looks that clearly said, "We're doomed." It was as if Zach had suggested fighting a T-Rex with a toothpick.
Max sighed. "I don't think we can fight him." That might just make things worse."
Zoe nodded in agreement. "We need to find a way to change him back without hurting him."
Rex rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Maybe we can ask Reese for help. She's the expert on our technology, after all."
Zach brightened up at the suggestion. "Hey, that's a great idea! Reese might be able to come up with something to fix this mess." Zach turned to face Deinosuchus, excitement written all over his face. "So, have you made your decision about joining the D-team?"
Deinosuchus pondered for a moment before making his choice, causing Zach's Dino Holder to start glowing. Zach quickly pulled out the device. "What's going on?" Zach asked and looked over at his team, who were surprised and confused as a voice rang out. In the area, it sounded gruff, gave a very powerful command, and sounded familiar too. Zach and the D-team look over to Deinosuchus as the giant crocodile growls. The Dino holder glowed in response. "So if I join you, will you promise me one thing?" Deinosuchus asked, his eyes fixed on Zach.
Zach hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. "Uh, sure, what is it?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
Max and Rex exchanged shocked glances. "Did Deinosuchus just talk?" Max whispered to Rex.
"I think so," Rex replied in a hushed tone.
Zoe shook her head in disbelief. "I don't understand. How is this possible?"
The group looked back at Deinosuchus, waiting for his response.
Deinosuchus leaned forward, his breath hot on Zach's face. "Promise me that you will give me all the food you have at your disposal!" he said.
Max, Zoe, and Rex's eyes widened in disbelief, their mouths hanging open. Then, as if on cue, they all fell backward in unison. "Did he just ask for food?" Zoe exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief.
Rex shook his head, still processing the situation. "I don't know what's more shocking, the fact that Deinosuchus talked or the fact that he's asking for snacks!"
Max groaned, feeling overwhelmed by the absurdity of the situation. "This is getting ridiculous. First, we have to turn him back into a card, and now he's asking for food. What's next, a Utah Raptor who wants to watch TV with us?"
"Sure, we can give you food. Better yet, we can give you a banquet!" Zach exclaimed.
Deinosuchus raises a non-existent eyebrow. "What's a banquet?" he asked.
Zach stared at Deinosuchus with a look of disbelief. "You don't know what a banquet is?" he exclaimed, his jaw dropping to the ground.
"A banquet is like a big feast or party," Zoe explained, trying to keep a straight face.
Rex nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's a fancy event where people gather to eat and celebrate something special."
"And Zach loves throwing banquets whenever he achieves a goal or just feels like it," Max added with a grin.
Deinosuchus let out a roar of excitement. "I like the sound of that! Let's do it!"
"All right, then let's make that happen, Shishishi!" Zach said as he looked at his Dino holder. Clicking on a random button causes Deinosuchus to go back into a card as it floats down; Zach caught it and looked at it.
"Finally, I got my own partner! "You and I are going to flip this world upside down," Zach exclaimed, raising his cards.
Max, Zoe, and Rex looked at each other, unsure of what to make of Zach's sudden burst of enthusiasm.
"Um, Zach, are you feeling okay?" Max asked, his eyebrow raised.
"Are you kidding me? I got my own partner, and that means I can come with you guys on dinosaur missions! Hahaha!" Zach laughed with pure enjoyment.
Max just smiled along with his team, seeing their energetic team member having the time of his life as he danced about raving his hands in the air, making Chomp Ace and Paris join him. Then Zach stopped in his tracks, confusing his friends and their dinosaurs.
"Hey, if Chomp Ace and Paris have some small forms, I wonder if Suchus can have one?" Zach asked.
Max, Zoe, and Rex looked at each other, a bit perplexed. "Small forms?" Rex repeated, trying to understand what Zach meant.
"Oh, I know what you mean. You just need to swipe his card up on the Dino Holder." Max smiled.
Zach eagerly did what Max said, swiping the card up on his Dino holder, causing the car to slide out of Zach's hand and onto the ground as it glowed and materialized into a
"No way..." Max exclaimed, pointing at the tiny creature.
"He's so small!" Rex added, marveling at the size difference.
"He's like a little puppy!" she exclaimed, causing Max and Rex to give her a puzzled look.
"Uh, I think you mean he's like a little crocodile," Max corrected her, causing Zoe to giggle in embarrassment.
Rex shook his head in amusement. "Well, whatever he is, he's still pretty cool. And now we have a crocodile on our team!" he said with a grin.
Zach crouched down beside Suchus in his chibi form. As a chibi crocodile, his scales were lighter turquoise than his previous form, which had been darker. A black line ran down his back, accompanied by bumps of spikes that also protruded from his tail. A yellow line extended down the left side of his body. He had a white belly and splotches of black on the back of his legs, along with a gray splotch on the front. The Deinosuchus, on the other hand, had a gray mask around its eyes, and a black snout covering the front of its face. Lines adorned the top of its head and sides, and the distinctive feature it possessed was its white claws.
Zach puts a finger on his chin and tilts his head, examining the small Deinosuchus. "Weird, I thought you'd be much bigger than this," he mused aloud. The Deinosuchus hissed in response, but Zach just laughed. "Even with your small size, you still have that pride, huh? Shishishi, I like you already."
Zach stands up and introduces the small Deinosuchus to Chomp, Ace, and Paris, who greet their new team member with excitement. However, the Deinosuchus doesn't seem to share their friendliness and instead keeps his distance, maintaining his serious and cold demeanor.
Zach stands up and introduces the small Deinosuchus to Chomp, Ace, and Paris, who greet their new team member with excitement. However, the Deinosuchus doesn't seem to share their friendliness and instead keeps his distance, maintaining his serious and cold demeanor.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Zach asks, noticing the Deinosuchus' standoffish behavior.
"I think he's just not used to being around other dinosaurs yet," Zoe suggests. "He'll warm up to us eventually."
Max nods in agreement. "We just have to give him some time to adjust."
Zach looks at the small Deinosuchus and smiles. "Don't worry, buddy. We'll take good care of you," he says reassuringly.
The Deinosuchus looks up at Zach, studying him for a moment before finally letting out a low growl, which Zach takes as a sign of acceptance.
"Let's head back home and celebrate with a banquet for my new partner!" Zach cheers, raising his arm in excitement.
Chomp, Ace, and Paris all join in with their own happy roars as the D-team heads back to the D-lab, ready to welcome their new member.
In the sky, the Alpha Gang is inside their flying contraption, heading back to Zeta Point.
"I can't believe we lost to that Deinosuchus," Zander said, slumping in his chair with a look of defeat.
"We had a good winning streak going," Ed added, equally disappointed.
"And how are we going to explain losing that valuable card to Dr. Z?" Zander fretted, looking over at his teammate.
"We can't just hide it from him," Ed said, shaking his head.
Ursula suddenly spoke up, causing the other two to turn and look at her. "Why are you worried about telling Dr. Z? We can just say the mission was a failure and his prediction was off," she suggested with a mischievous smile.
Ed and Zander exchanged a look, considering Ursula's proposal. "That might actually work," Zander said, a small grin forming on his face.
"But what about the consequences?" Ed asked, still unsure.
Ursula shrugged. "We'll deal with them when they come. Right now, let's just focus on getting back and giving Dr. Z the news."
Zach rushes into the D-Lab, bursting with excitement. "Hey, everyone, we're back!" he exclaims, waving his arms in the air.
Spike and Reese turn to look at him. Spike's face lit up with a smile. "Welcome back, Zach! How was your first time being on a mission?" Spike asks.
"It was amazing! You won't believe what happened," Zach responds, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
But before he can continue, the sound of panting interrupts the conversation. Rex, Max, and Zoe rush into the room, trying to catch their breath.
"Whoa, slow down there, guys." What happened?" Zach asks, noticing their disheveled appearance.
"We had to keep up with you; not all of us have the same stamina. Zach." Rex says between breaths
Max and Zoe chime in, "Yeah, you were moving way too fast for us!"
Zach grins sheepishly. "Sorry about that, guys. I just got a little carried away."
"So, what happened on your mission?" Spike asks, eager to hear the details.
"Well, why don't I show you?" Zach says, turning to the small Deinosuchus, who had followed them into the room. "This is our new teammate, Suchus."
Spike kneels, eyeing the small crocodile, who hisses at him.
"Careful, Dad, he's still a little feisty," Max warns.
Spike chuckles. "I can handle myself," he says, extending a hand toward Suchus. The Deinosuchus eyes the hand warily before slowly sniffing it. Spike smiled, but it faded when Suchus immediately bit the hand. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Spike winces as Suchus bites down harder, and he begins to dance around the room with the small Deinosuchus attached to his hand. "Okay, okay, I think I've had enough of a welcome!" he shouts, trying to shake Suchus off.
Zach steps forward, placing a hand on Suchus's back. "Alright, Suchus, let go of him now," he commands gently.
Suchus releases his grip on Spike's hand, and the Paleontologist lets out a sigh of relief, rubbing his injured hand. "Note to self: don't make any sudden moves around the new guy," he says, half-jokingly.
Reese, who has been quiet this whole time, speaks up. "Well, it looks like we have quite the character on our team," She says.
Zoe giggles. "Yeah, he's a feisty one, but we'll teach him some manners," she says, reaching out to pet Suchus on the head. The Deinosuchus hisses at her but doesn't bite.
Spike laughs, shaking his head. "Looks like we have our work cut out for us," he says.
Zach nods in agreement. "But that's what makes it exciting, right?" he says, grinning. "Now let's have that banquet I promised him!"
Reese couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Zach's suggestion of a banquet. She knew how much chaos could ensue when the D-Team threw a party, let alone a banquet. There was always a risk of spilled drinks, knocked-over equipment, and creatures getting loose.
"Uh, Zach, are you sure that's a good idea?" she asks, glancing around the D-Lab. "I mean, we have a lot of sensitive equipment and specimens around here."
Zach shrugs off her concerns. "Don't worry, Reese, we'll be careful. And besides, we can't celebrate Suchus joining the team without a proper feast!"
Reese sighs, knowing there was no stopping Zach once he had his mind set on something. She could only hope that things wouldn't get too out of hand.
"Fine, but I'm not cleaning up after you guys," she says, crossing her arms.
Zach grins. "Don't worry, Reese, we'll clean up ourselves. Right, guys?" he looks over at Max, Zoe, Rex, and Spike for confirmation.
They all nod enthusiastically, eager to celebrate Suchus's arrival. Reese lets out another sigh, resigned to the fact that a messy banquet was inevitable.
Three days later, in Texas, a tall and muscular man was sitting inside a tent, gnawing on a large piece of meat. He had shoulder-length black hair with a few strands of silver, and his glasses were tucked into his pocket alongside a red bandana. He wore a green button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up over a white t-shirt, and his pants were held up by a belt. One of his legs was made of wood, and he had a pair of boots on his feet. His skin was a shade of brown, similar to that of the D-Team's energetic member, and his eyes were silver.
Just then, Carl, one of the paleontologists working with him, entered the tent.
"Boss, it's a letter addressed to you," Carl said, holding out a letter.
The man took the letter and examined it, noticing the poor handwriting.
"I'll leave you to it, Boss," Carl said, walking out of the tent.
The man opened the letter and found pieces of paper and pictures inside. The first one had Zach's head popping out of the frame, a broad grin on his face as he stood beside a small kiddie pool filled with water. And right in the middle of the pool was Suchus, floating lazily with a content expression on his face.
In the next picture, Suchus seemed to have noticed Zach taking the photo. His head had snapped towards the camera, his reptilian eyes squinting in suspicion. Zach's face was red and sweaty, and he was making a funny face, his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth.
The final picture was the most action-packed one. Suchus was lunging at Zach, jaws open wide, ready to snap. Zach was nothing more than a blur in the picture, indicating that he had probably managed to dodge the attack at the last moment. The man couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of it, marveling at the little Deinosuchus's ferocity.
"That kid never ceases to amaze me," he muttered to himself. " as he began to read the letter.
"Hey, Uncle Phil, Guess what? I got my partner! And this is the awesome part: it's not a dinosaur, it's a Deinosuchus! Awesome right? This little guy is super strong. He can give Terry a run for his money, and in his big form, he was humongous. I was thinking of calling him Chompy or the big guy. But the others think that's a dumb name for him; I don't know, I think it's cool! But I settled on calling him Suchus.
I know me and he is going to go so far, and I believe that with him by my side, along with my friends, I can fulfill my dream! Just wait. Shishishi.
Now the man called Phil smiles at the letter, knowing his nephew is going to fulfill that dream of his. "Suchus... huh? Not that bad of a name, kid, not that bad." He's said, Glancing at the picture again."Look at that kid sending me a letter. Let's see what it says," the man muttered to himself as he began to read the letter.

I know me and him is going to go so far, and I believe that with him by my side, along with my friends, I can fulfill my dream! Just wait. Shishishi.

Next time on Dinosaur King: Ancient Frost
Rex: Hey, did you realize Suchus is grumpy than usual?
Zach: Really? I couldn't tell, but I always had the feeling he was always angry.
Max: Maybe he's homesick?
The boys look over to Suchus, seeing him lying on the carpet, staring out into space, thinking about something...
