Amelia was in surgery when Arizona texted her. She saw the text almost 1am, when her last surgery ended. Amelia was exhausted but that text made her smile. Before she could text Arizona back, Maggie interrupted:

"What is that?" – Maggie asked.

"What?" – Amelia was confused.

"This smile staring at your phone. Who texted you?" – Maggie tried to take the phone out of Amelia's hands.

"Hey, stop it! No one! Gosh, you're curious" – Amelia complained.

"What? Tell me! I'm your sister. Who is it? Is it Kai? I haven't seen you smile like that over them in a long time" – Maggie was a little worried that Kai could be back in her sister's life.

"It's not Kai. It's nothing. Mind your business. Are you done for the day?" – Amelia asked.

"Thank God, yes. Are you going home?" – Maggie started to walk away.

"Yes, do you need a ride?" – Amelia offered.

"Yes, please! Winston got my car today" – Maggie said and they headed to doctor's lounge to change clothes and leave.

Amelia left Maggie at her home and headed to Meredith's. She was anxious to arrive and text Arizona back. The house was quiet since it was late, so she headed upstairs silently and laid down in her bed, reading Arizona's text again.

I just got home after a chaotic shift. Sad to hear there's no good kisser around. Maybe this is a great reason for you to come back. Have a good night, Arizona.

...

A few days passed by but they didn't stop thinking about each other. It was supposed to be just a kiss that turned into a one-night stand, which turned into smiles in the middle of the day thinking about their night together. Amelia was terrified about liking anyone after Kai, but she couldn't stop imagining how things could be if Arizona lived in Seattle.

After a long day of many surgeries, Amelia was leaving Grey-Sloan when her phone buzzed inside her purse.

Hey, how are you? I have some news: I'm going to Seattle this Friday for a conference. I would love to see you, if you can. XX, Arizona.

Of course Amelia wanted to see her. She didn't know if the invitation was a friendly date or a romantic one, though. She was supposed to have Scout this weekend, since Link was out of town, so she would have to ask Maggie or Meredith for help. Suddenly a million things started to pop inside Amelia's head. Where would they go? What she should wear? Should she offer Arizona her place to stay? Should she tell her sisters what happened last time Arizona was in town? Why the hell she was so anxious about something so simple like a text message?

"Earth to Amelia!" – Meredith interrupted Amelia's thoughts by calling her a few times.

"Sorry. I was thinking about my schedule the next days. Actually I need your help this weekend" – Amelia started.

"Of course. What do you need?" – Meredith asked.

"Would you take care of Scout this Friday? Link is out of town and something came up" – Amelia was vague.

"Sure. I don't know if I'm on call Friday night, but I'll work it out, don't worry. What came up?" – Meredith asked.

"Uhm, nothing special. A friend will be in the city and we will have dinner. Nothing special, really" – Amelia was the worst liar.

"A friend?" – Meredith laughed.

"Yes, a friend. Why?" – Amelia tried to disguise.

"I know exactly what 'friend in the city and having dinner' means. I did this many times. Who is it?" – Meredith was curious.

"It's just a friend, it's not like that" – Amelia answered without looking Meredith in the eyes.

"Is it Kai?" – Meredith was a little bit serious this time.

"No" – Amelia said.

"Are you sure?" – Meredith insisted.

"Yes, I'm sure. It's not Kai. We haven't spoken since the break up. I mean, they texted me but I didn't reply" – Amelia explained.

"Ok. Looking forward to know who is this mysterious friend of yours" – Meredith said and left Amelia alone at the parking lot.

Of course I can! Is Friday good for you? Let me know your schedule, please.

Amelia texted Arizona back and immediately got angry at herself. This is a horrible text for someone who wants to go out on a date, she thought. Then she sent another one trying to clarify what she meant.

In case it was not clear, I want us to have a date on Friday. Like, a real date. Because I miss your kiss.
