What's that you want to begin the story uh well ok then let's do that then.
Greetings I have to say it is great to see you all back here once again. To see the friends that were made during this journey. It feels me with joy seeing you all here again.
To know that fills me with motivation to keep going. As The Narrator and to a lesser extent The Author it is my duty to read these out for you. Speaking of which I have another story for you all to enjoy.
One that includes paranoia and a quest for survival. What the meaning behind both of these will soon be revealed to you. All I'll tell you is that the paranoia part will lead into the next phase.
Though it might or might not be as bad it is in this story. Sorry but I am legally not allowed to spoil the future of the story anymore that a hint or two here and there.
Until then you stuck having me play hard to get with the info that you get. Sorry but that's how the rules of this journey are. No there isn't a rule book that you can check.
Throwing hints and or riddles out like this is one way I try and get you stay. Hopefully it works but in the meantime lets get started with this story and as always I hope you enjoy.
We begin with a ship flying somewhere in the middle of space. After awhile we can see that the ship was that of The Resisty's ship. They were currently on their way to some planet.
A planet that was unlike any other that they've been to before. It was unlike the planet they wanted to go to go to last time had no irkens on it.
They had hoped it didn't look like it was deserted or something close to it. That planet was scary especially for Lard Nar and Spleenk but that was already talked about.
This planet on the other hand was a lot better and had people on it that were friendly. Well most of them are friendly. You'll see exactly what I am talking about soon.
The planet they were heading to would allow them to not only give them a safe haven of sorts. It would also give them allies that can lend a hand in their act of rebellion against The Irken Armada.
Seeing as their ship is running low on space due to The Resisty's growing numbers. They need a safe place to where they can have people stay on the ship and on the planet
Nowhere else they can go to is friendly or safe for them to go to. Meaning that they have to go to other planets that were more welcoming. I feel like that was obvious but hey let's not worry about that.
Their ship unlike other Vort Ships can hold up to five hundred people. They were currently at four hundred and ninety two. An upgrade from the one fifty they had when they confronted The Massive.
They were not ones to brag about such a thing though. Anyways Lard Nar had set the ship's course to this planet in the hopes of connecting The Resisty with the local inhabitants.
Moreover two main figureheads of the planet are that of a woman who runs a small gated town. Not far behind her is her supplier who gets everybody what they need.
The goal is to connect with these two more specifically the woman who runs the town. Here Lard Nar hopes that she can be reasoned with to work out a deal.
After that he hopes they can stay or at least keep some of the members there safe. That was their goal and they dead set on making it a reality.
While things were going better for The Resisty after the whole Daqon incident the same can't be said for Lard Nar himself. He's had an issue that's been haunting him for weeks at this point.
This issue was a string of bad dreams that were fueled further by a constant feeling of paranoia. He had no idea how this feeling started it randomly stared a couple weeks ago.
Lard Nar was afraid that this paranoia would ruin The Resisty's long term goals. He also didn't want his close friends to see him like this anymore.
He was scared that his friend would think of him differently because of it. They wouldn't but that didn't stop the fear from plaguing his mind and making him worry.
The Resisty is more to him than a resistance force against The Irken Armada. It was a family full of misfits and people willing to stick by each other no matter what.
Here was hoping that these issues can be solved in this story. Though something tells me that it would only get worse before it got any better for him.
Lard Nar for the first time in weeks managed to wake up without having a nightmare. Whatever was causing this is unknown to him. All he was hoping for is that he can fix whatever's causing it soon.
He would have to push past his paranoia for the time being. No in the meantime he needed to concentrateon heading to the main area of the ship.
It was here that he had told his close friends in The Resisty what they would be doing. It's a good thing Kalaq was there giving them another person that can hold his own.
Not that there weren't people like that in The Resisty that could. There was about one hundred out of the near five hundred that could hold their own.
It's more Lard Nar being overprotective of those members not wanting to lose any security that they have. Lard Nar continued heading down a hallway in the ship before he reached the main command room.
He enters to see Spleenk, Skloonktapooxis, Ixane and Kalaq all waiting for him. "Lard you finally made it. Spleenk says being the first to greet the resistance leader.
"Yeah we..well I was starting to get worried. Skloonktapooxis says cheerfully as Lard Nar entered the room. "No need to worry I am fine. "Despite all that's going on.
"Right anyways where did we leave off last time? "Ah that's right Talza. "This planet is the perfect place for us to hide from The Irken Armada.
"At least until we can find out a less dangerous but effective way of putting a wrench in their hopes of conquering more planets. "I vote we steal some more of thier endless supplies of snacks.
"Sounds like a great idea Spleenk. "Only issue is that they'd expect us to do that. "We need to try something that they won't expect us to do. "How bout we steal some of their medicine?
We hear Skloonktapooxis say chiming into the conversation again. "Medicine isn't really an issue for us at this stage. "Not if we conserve it and use it wisely.
"I see what you mean. "Good how bout you Kalaq? "I'll take anything that keeps us alive and makes their day worse. "That wasn't really an answer.
"I thought it was. "We could break people out of irken custody. Ixane says while staring at Kalaq with disappointment showing in her eyes. "Never thought you'd recommend that Ixane.
"Breaking people out of prison seems like a dangerous idea. Lard Nar says still confused on what Ixane had recommended for them to do. "I am not talking about prisons.
"Then what exactly do you mean? "What I am trying to say is that there are places that are like prisons but much smaller and more manageable for us to take on.
"There we can save the people being held there and hopefully get new members in the process. "Hm that does sound like a good idea. "We might do that as it's our safest bet.
"We all in agreement? "Yeah I am up for it. "Count me in. "I don't know if it'll work but I still support it. Skloonktapooxis, Kalaq and Spleenk says in unison agreeing to the idea that Ixane made.
"Good seeing how we agreed on what to do after Talza we should continue heading over and seeing if they'll let us stay. After Lard Nar had said that another figure entered the room.
He was wearing a orange spacesuit of some kind on. This figure was taller than the other members of The Resisty. I'd say about a couple inches taller than Lard Nar.
The best way for me to describe it without making it sound to complicated. Not like that it matters there already is a lot of things that could be seen as complicated.
He stares back at everyone and despite his head being covered everyone knew who it was. "Lard it's uh good to see I found you. "Figured you'd left to go to that supplier.
"We were about to. "There a reason your asking me this? "Yes actually there is. "Alright then what is it? "Your heading to that one town right? "The one ran by Banca.
"Yes there a reason your asking me this? "Don't expect tight lips to tell you anything. Kalaq says in a snarky tone before breaking into a laugh. "I have a name you know.
"Right my bad..Lenny. "Still never explained what type of name that is. "Let me rephrase that explain it in a good way. "That's enough Kalaq. "Leave him alone.
"Fine. "Though soon he's going to have to explain himself. "Am I wrong on that? "He's got a point Lenny. "Secrecy is no way to gain our trust.
Ixane says chiming into the conversation with words of her own. "It'll only seek to make you look like your hiding something from us. "That's part of the reason I am here.
"I wanted to go with you. "Banca was the one who told me about The Resisty. "She'll explain everything far better that I ever could. "I don't know.
"I as well as Skloonktapooxis and Kalaq are already going. "Seems much to bring more people and risk something bad happening. "Look I promise I won't get in the way.
"Sorry but you have to stay here. "If it makes you feel any better I'll ask her to tell me what she knows. "Ok I guess its better than nothing. "Alright then we should get going.
"Ixane you and Spleenk know what to do? "Yeah we know. "Though if you could remind us that would be great. "He wants us to make sure nobody tries stealing the ship.
"A highly unlikely scenario but it's better to be cautious. "At least that's what he said. "Right I get it we make sure nobody tries and steals the ship.
"And if anybody does then that's when we stop them. "That's literally what I said. "Oh. "Alright we're almost there you two ready? "You bet I am ready.
We hear Skloonktapooxis say while twirling around with excitement. "I heard this place is known for it's lush environments. "As well as having riverbanks that are literally begging to have a boat go across it.
"Yes but we can't let that distract us. "Our focus is to remain on asking if some of the other members can stay there. "Right got it. "My focus is on our mission.
"That's good to hear. "What about you Kalaq? "I am always ready. "Though I am skeptical about Banca and this supplier. "Don't be Banca is more than trustworthy.
Lenny says reentering the conversation by responding to Kalaq. "The Supplier on the other hand seems suspicious to me. "I know I shouldn't be saying that but still be careful around him.
"Don't worry we will. Lard Nar says responding to Lenny's concern. "We on the other hand should get whatever it is we need before we head out.
"You got it. "Can do. Skloonktapooxis and Kalaq respond back with their own statements. Lard Nar leaves the room and heads back to his room to ready for the task at hand.
As he's heading to his room he all of a sudden hears something that makes him stop moving and snap his head to the right. "Lard you ok? Skloonktapooxis asks in a concerned manner.
"Yes it's..I heard a voice. "A what? "A voice..it whispered to me. "You sure cause I didn't hear anything. "I promise you I heard a voice. "What did it say? "See you soon.
"Those were it's exact words. "Your scaring me Lard. "You sure this isn't your mind playing tricks. "It might be. "We shouldn't let that bother us we should get going.
"I agree I can't wait to see this place. "Honestly me to. Lard Nar says as he follows Skloonktapooxis out the room. Whatever Lard Nar heard definitely wasn't normal.
He was going to have to put that aside as he Skloonktapooxis and Kalaq head out to the planet Talza. Part of him hopes that this will be easy but knowing his luck recently it won't.
They had eventually made it to the planets surface where they land the ship. Lard Nar exits the ship first and is then followed by Skloonktapooxis and Kalaq.
"Alright we're here. "WOO HOO this place is as beautiful as I remember. "I've seen worse so yeah it's a welcome change. "Yes it is a more welcoming environment than anywhere else we have been.
"Although we won't be able to observe it for long. "I've told Ixane and Spleenk to fly away with the ship if we aren't back by nighttime. "Great a time limit..lovely.
"Can't we have them send a search party? "That'd be to much of a risk. "Besides we shouldn't be gone that long. "That option is only there if something bad happens.
"Do you know how bad our luck is? "Something is bound to go wrong. "Yeah that does end up happening a lot. "Though I don't doubt Lard's ability to get us through this unharmed.
"Mostly unharmed. "Better to not be overconfident. "Last time I was overconfident it ended with me getting a really bad infection. "Still afraid to wear glasses after that.
"What are you talking about? Kalaq says confused at what Skloonktapooxis said. "It's difficult. "Don't want to waste our time explaining it.
"Your probably right knowing you I don't want to know. "That sounded pretty mean. "It wasn't ok. "I'll take your word for it. "You don't seem like a liar.
"Right we really should get going. Lard Nard says trying to get them back on track. "Yes let's get this over with. "Agreed sorry Lard. "No need to say sorry.
"It's that we need to get over there before they stop letting visitors in. "Their like that? "Yes it's nothing personal it's how they've maintained their survival.
"Makes sense. "Especially after you explain it. "Also we need to do exactly what they say or their going to hurt us. "Like to see them try. "Look can you hold off on the tough guy persona for as long we're here.
"It's how I act. "Yes but for once please try and be nice. "Sure whatever. "Great let's go. The three of them proceed to head to where the town is located.
Talza in itself was as it described as earlier and that was lush and beautiful. When you see this place you'll mainly be seeing two things foliage and rivers as far as the eye can see.
Whether that is good or bad is entirely up to you but hey if you ask me I think it'd be cool. The wildlife is for the most part passive and wouldn't hurt you.
That is unless you give it a reason then in that case be ready to defend yourself. Banca the one that Lard Nar and the others are hoping to find is in charge of a town in the center of the planet.
She's kept them alive by being strict but fair to the people she protects. Talza being remote and hidden from the rest of The Irken Armada makes things better.
Given how the planet basically had nobody but animals living on it. As well as it being taken over by the environment makes it a somewhat safe place to be.
Currently Lard and the others were making their way across a worn down bridge. This bridge definitely needed to be fixed cause it was that bad.
Like there were planks on the edge of falling off. Whoever built this bridge probably should've taken classes on how to make a sturdy bridge. Or at the least fix it to where it's..useable.
They stood at the beginning of the bridge and considered if they really should go across it. Lard Nar was the first one to comment about the bridge.
"Uh something tells me that this isn't a good idea. "This bridge doesn't seem stable. "You sure? Skloonktapooxis asks curiously as he starts heading across the bridge.
Doing this made the bridge shake slightly as it moves side to side. "CAREFUL! Lard Nar shouts trying not to panic at what happened. "It's fine only slightly shaked up.
"There another way around? Kalaq begins to ask as he tilts his head trying to look at the bridge. "No none that we were told about. "Perfect exactly what I didn't want to hear.
"I would love to see who made this bridge. "I have some choice words that I would like to say to him. Kalaq says as he stares at the bridge with immense disappointment.
"Look we should get past this bridge and quickly. "Right on it. Skloonktapooxis says before zooming across to the other end of the bridge.
"Show off. Kalaq says as he starts to head across himself. "What do you mean? "All I did was cross the bridge. "I'd explain but it'd clearly take us more time then we have.
Lard is the last one to head across and begins heading to the other side of the bridge. As their making their way across one of the boards break nearly making Lard Nar fall through it.
"You ok? "Yeah don't worry. "Let's keep going. They continue pushing through and eventually make it to the end. Only thing was stopping them from making it across.
That one thing was the bridge abruptly falling apart and breaking. The bridge swung down and was only holding up due to the other half still being attached.
Apart from Lard Nar and Kalaq screaming at what happened they were fine. "WHAT HAPPENED! "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BRIDGE!?
Lard Nar says as he tries to climb up and reach the surface. "NO IDEA! "YOU GUYS OK!? "NO..no we're not ok. Lard Nar says making some progress up the bridge.
"Ah this is not how I envisioned our day going. "Believe me neither did I. "You aren't helping you know. "What I was only trying to relate with the situation.
Kalaq makes it to the top and climbs to the surface. He tries shaking off what happened as he tries standing back up. Lard Nar on the other hand was almost to the top before he stops.
He then hears a voice call out to him and it was full of hatred. "She won't save you. "She won't save you and your friends. "It'll only delay your inevitable deaths.
Larb Nar shakes his head trying to snap out of whatever was causing him to hear this voice. "Lard you ok? "Uh yeah I was..my mind was playing tricks on me.
Eventually Lard Nar made it to the top after being helped up by Kalaq. They all try and process what they had went through. "Ok anybody know exactly what happened?
"No not really. "Great. "Well at least it makes things interesting. "You ok Lard? "You seem a little stressed out. "Yeah it's uh I heard that voice from earlier again.
"Voice? "Who's voice? Kalaq says confused at what Lard Nar had said. "No idea. "It sounds familiar but I don't recognize it. "It's like I've heard it before.
"Do you have any idea who it might be? "No not at all. "Not even a clue. "No. "Lard you sure your not imagining this. Skloonktapooxis asks more concerned this time then earlier.
"No or at least I don't think I am. "It all feels so real. "Like somebody is messing with my head. "We should get going before they choose to cancel the meeting.
"Right my apologies. "Let's get going. The trio continues heading to where Banca is and hope that she agrees to let them stay there that way they have a safe place to be.
As they left a figure is seen hiding behind a tree with a knife in his hand. All we can see is those dark blue eyes to know it was that strange figure that was watching Larb.
He doesn't say anything but instead watches as Lard Nar and the others leave the area. Once they were out of sight he to leaves through the foliage disappearing from sight.
Whoever this figure is definitely is obsessed with The Resisty in some way. I feel that soon they'll have to worry about this figure confronting them face to face.
They might also have to worry about stuff breaking on them like the bridge. Cause you know that type of stuff happening is never a good thing no matter who you are.
For them they hope that it goes good for them but never be to confident. Cause to much confidence can comeback to bite you where it hurts.
The Resisty's never had an easy day in their lives and today will be no different. Only question is who will be the ones to ruin their day or at least try to.
It took what felt like forever but due to their time restraints it really was like twenty minutes. They eventually see a large gate that was blocking their path.
Lard Nar stares at the gate and begins looking around as if he was looking for somebody. "Do we let ourselves in? "No we're supposed to stand at the front gate and wait for them to let us in.
The vortian says responding to Kalaq's question while still continuing to go up to the gate. "She told us to stand right here and wait. "We're a little early though.
"Despite everything that happened. "HEY LET US IN ALREADY! "Kalaq what are you doing? "Letting them know we're here. "They know that already.
"How do you know that? "She told me that she'd know when we're here. "Doing what you did isn't going to get us anywhere. "Would you relax it's not going to do ruin anything.
"That's what you think. "When they refuse to lend us a hand then know it'll be your fault. "I welcome that believe me. "Of course you would. "Hey guys let's not do this ok.
"Remember we're in this together. "Fighting will get us nowhere. "Tell him that. "Look he's right we shouldn't be arguing. "The Tallest and the rest of The Armada aren't arguing like we are.
"We need to focus and stay together on this or we're all as good as dead. "Fine but learn to relax a little sometimes. "That's difficult giving everything that's going on.
"Don't worry I've dealt with stuff far worse than arguing with the man who technically saved my life. "Technically? "You were bleeding out in the middle of a forest.
"Yeah but best not to be specific about it. "Whatever. As they turned thier attention back to waiting at the gate they all start to hear clapping from behind them.
Here we see the figure shows himself walking up to the trio. Everything about this figure screamed self centered and overconfident. "That..was..great.
The Figure says as he walks up to the gate with a smile on his face the whole time. "Yeah real good seeing the quote on quote resistance have a moment of friendship and care.
The Grey Skinned Figure had on a navy blue trenchcoat with a black shirt, pants and boots to match. His eyes were yellow and they stared at The Resisty Members for quite some time.
The Figure had no antennas instead it was like he had a bald head or something. Don't worry he isn't ashamed or embarrassed about it quite the opposite actually.
We see The Figure make his way closer to where they were standing. He then speaks to them in a condescending manner while smiling back them.
"Not going to lie expected a lot less from tough guy Kalaq over there but you know. "What's that supposed to mean? Kalaq says in a defensive tone as he walks up to the figure.
"I was saying that I thought you were to tone deaf and stubborn to show kindness to anybody. "Keep talking and I'll teach a thing or two about being tone deaf.
"Hm real original you find that on a cereal box or something? "Nevermind that. "What brings you to our humble abode. "Wait are you The Supplier? "Correct..good to see the leader of the resistance isn't stupid.
"We have a name. "Forgive me next time I'll use the proper name. "The Inbreds is what your called right? "Nah I am only messing with you it's The Resisty right?
"Yes. "Man whoever came up with that name definitely chugs paint for a living. "On second thought he or she probably does it for free. "I'd watch your tone if I were you.
"Ugh if I were you I'd watch your tone ugh. "That's what you sound like. "Your threats are about as meaningful as a cleaning drones will to live. "What exactly brings you here anyways?
"We're here to speak to Banca. "I pity her. "Say what's the cone doing over there? "Besides looking like he's used to fix broken ships. "Me I am standing here.
"Doing what..daydreaming. "No in fact I was basking in your "kind and welcoming personality". "Thank you. "Don't mention it. "Though you'll have to work some things.
"Like what? "Pretty much everything. "Your a real comedian aren't you. "I try to be. "Look we really need to speak with Banca so can you let us in. "I'd love to but we're no longer accepting guests.
"That can't be we still have a few more hours left. "Hm I know but we changed things up this one time perhaps try again tomorrow. "We aren't leaving until we speak to Banca.
"You don't have a choice in the matter. "There's always a choice. "Especially when people like you are in are way. "Always wanting to doubt us. "Always wanting to insult and berate us.
"Say whatever and do whatever you want to us. "We won't break and we won't quit no matter what you do to us. "That being said either let us inside or be ready to force us out.
"Hm your seeming bold today. The Supplier says as he grabs a gun from a bag that he was carrying and aims at the trio. "Tell you what we can play that game if you want to.
"I don't want to kill you but if don't leave I'll have to act on the rules that Banca set and kill you. "Your not the only one with a gun bud. Kalaq says as he aims a gun at The Supplier's head.
"Yeah but I have backup more backup than you if you shoot me. "The back up belongs to Banca..not you. "I am the one who gave her the stuff needed to have that back up in the first place.
"Meaning I have leverage and you don't. Before this encounter got any worse they hear a voice shout at all of them. "ENOUGH! They all turn to see a female figure in a blue cloak staring back at them.
Her cloak also had black outlines that also wraps around the stomach area. She also had grey eyes but her pupils were green which was interesting to say the least.
She had antennas but they were both tied together by a band. Apart from all that she was in no mood to see a fight break down in her town.
"What is going on here? "I thought you said you'd stop doing this to our visitors. "I did say that didn't I? "Yes you did and not only that they are visitors that I invited.
"Your Banca? Kalaq asks while still holding his gun at The Supplier. "Yes and you can drop the gun. "He will no longer be an issue will you? "No I won't.
The Supplier says as he hesitantly drops his gun. "You must be The Resisty. "Forgive me he can be a little bit of a jerk. "Little bit isn't how I'd describe it.
"I know but I promise you he won't bother you anymore..will you? "No. "Good to see you in person Lard Nar. "Usually we talk over a screen. "Yes it is a welcome change of pace.
"I see you brought people with you. "Yes that one over there is Skloonktapooxis. "Hi. "Let me tell you picked a beautiful place to build this safe haven.
"Thank you I used to visit here with my grandparents. "We always went sailing across the river and observed the wildlife. "That being said it seemed like a natural place to stay.
"Seems like you made the right choice. "Indeed we did. "I also have Kalaq the one to my right. "Don't worry I know all about him. "Really? "What exactly do you know about me?
"You spent a the better half of seven years pillaging innocents and splitting the profits with Yebot and those dimwitted step brothers. "That's it? "Thought you knew more than that.
"You also have a well known fear of deep water after a close encounter with a spectra leviathan. "I saw the footage that was released of you saying that.
"Hm touche. "Nevermind that I imagine your all here to talk about having some of your members stay here. "Yes it is. "Good cause luckily for you we are capable of doing that.
"That's great how many? "You said you had a total of four hundred and ninety two. "We would be able to do about one hundred eighty. "That's great.
"Thank you we really needed that. "Your welcome and don't worry I'll make sure they don't suffer a painful death like you will. "Uh what did you say?
Lard Nar says shaking his head and blinking repeatedly. He starts to think he's going crazy by what's happened to him recently. Banca stared confused at what he said but still repeated herself anyways.
"Ok I said that I'll make sure they aren't bothered or harmed in any way. "Sorry it's that I've been sorta hearing things recently. "I don't know what it is.
"That's not good. "I know. "Wish I knew how to help you with that. "It's ok. "All I really want to know is who it is I am hearing. "Does it sound familiar?
"Yes and no. "Like I said I wish I could help. "I know but don't worry I'll be fine. "Hope so to. "Ok allow me to show you where your people will be staying.
"Right..after you. They all proceed to head inside the town and hopefully forget all that happened outside. All they had to do was go inside and check where The Resisty Members were staying.
Surely nothing bad will end up happening once they enter the town. Yep totally nothing bad will end up happening one hundred percent chance if you ask me.
I am totally not trying to hide something bad that'll end up happening. What type of person do you take me for? Good point I see where your mind is at and it exposed me..good for you
After they had entered the town they were able to see that it was more than some gated community. It was an entire town that had practically everything it needed to function.
Banca led them to a residential area that had adults and children running around. She eventually brought them to a set of houses that sat by a riverbank and a small handcrafted hospital.
The kicker about this town is that most of the building here had to be built by hand without large construction tools. The cons of hiding from the rest of the universe I guess.
This of course took forever meaning they had to rely on the aid of The Supplier who willingly chose to lend them a hand. Yes that bundle of joy wanted to be nice as difficult as it might be to believe that.
"Ok here it is. "We had these houses on standby for when we got more people to live here. "Your people can hide here for as long as they need to.
"As long as they obey the rules. "They will. "You really had these houses built with nobody living in them? "Yes cause unlike you Kalaq we think in advance.
"Not being mean it's that you don't seem like somebody who thinks in advance. "Hm no offense taken. "Say do you guys have like a boat that sails across this river?
Skloonktapooxis asks curiously while trying to hide his excitement. "Yes but we tend not to use it unless we need it. "There a reason your asking?
"Yeah the environment here is beautiful and one of the things I wanted to do is sail across the riverbanks. "Hm interesting tell you what I'll see what I can do about that.
"Awesome thanks. "Your welcome. "Banca If you don't mind me chiming in. The Supplier says in an annoyed tone at Skloonktapooxis's request. "Do you really intend on wasting the precious fuel I gave you on this thing's request.
"He has a name you know. Lard Nar says getting in The Supplier's face as he said that. "I could care less what his name is. "All I am saying is that she shouldn't waste supplies on somebody with the mind of a toddler.
"Drop it Axsel. Banca says in a stern tone towards The Supplier who scoffed at hearing his name. "Drop it..don't tell me your considering his request. "Do you have any idea what I went through for that fuel?
"No but the way you have been acting is nothing short of uncalled for. "Either drop it or I won't hesitate to drop you. "Fine I'll drop it. "But when your run out of fuel don't cry about it.
"Or if he get's the thing totaled then what will you do? "That won't be the case. "Yeah man like what's your issue? Skloonktapooxis asks while still keeping a positive tone in his voice.
"Your asking me what my issue is. "Pretty much. "My issue stems from her blindly trusting a bunch of random people in a group led by him. Axsel says while pointing Lard Nar during his little tantrum.
"I said that's enough Axsel. Banca says walking up and tugging on the collar of his outfit. "Run your mouth again and see what happens. "Like I said I won't hesitate if you give me an excuse
Axsel doesn't say a word instead rolls his eyes and moves back. "Thank you. "Let me handle this. "If they turn out to be hostile then I'll see to it that I apologize for doubting you.
"Better start thinking of an apology then. "You'll be waiting awhile for that seeing as I know they won't do anything stupid. "Isn't that right Lard? "Yes though with him around that'll be difficult.
"Don't worry if he gives any of you trouble tell me. "Seeing how I know how to make him stop. "Threatening to beat me up isn't going to stop me.
"You should know that I don't make threats, I make guarantees. "Test your luck and you'll find that out the hard way. "Surely you can behave yourself..right?
"Whatever. "Don't throw a fit when he turns his back on us. "Will do. "Though in the meantime I do believe you have business to take care of. "Your dismissed.
Axsel doesn't respond instead he chooses to turn and leave the area and head off. Kalaq was the first one to say something when Axsel had left.
"He is such a tool. "Yeah what's his issue? "He is like that all the time. "His charming abrasive nature makes him a useful ally. "I will admit that this was far worse than he usually is.
"I'd say. "Anybody else like this? "No and my apologies for his behavior. "You don't need to apologize for him. "Thanks. "Say Lard where's Lenny?
"He isn't here. "We left him on our ship. "Though he wanted us to relay a message back to you. "Alright then what is it? Lard Nar was interrupted by a figure running while a panicked tone was shown on his face.
The figure wore an outfit similar to Banca except his was orange with grey outlines and a hood. It allowed him to keep himself to stay comfy.
Granite that wasn't the purpose of it. "Banca me and the other scouts bring bad news. "What is it? "Gerla..her and her misfits are on their way to the town as we speak.
"Figures they had been quiet as of late. "I knew that were plotting something. "Sorry Lard but his message will have to wait. "We have an issue that needs solving.
"You need any assistance with this? "That would be great. "We're going to need some people near the courtyard and front gate. "One person escorting people to a safe place.
"Finally we will need somebody to defend the turrets and outside defenses. "I'll go to the courtyard with you. "Ok that leaves two spots left.
"Point me to where those turrets are and I'll lend a hand. Kalaq says as he looks around the area for..something who knows what. "Hey that leaves me with escorting people to safety.
"Luckily for them I am an expert at hiding somewhere safe. "Even more is telling people good places to hide. "Right we don't have much time before they get here.
"Kalaq head over there until you see a staircase. "That should lead you up to where the main turrets are at. "Skloonktapooxis keep heading up the path and take the first right you see.
"There you'll meet two people that you'll see. "Tell them that I sent you and listen to what they say. "Ok. "Once again an expert is on call. "Lard your with me and Axsel.
"We'll be the first line of defense. "Got it let's go. "One last thing you'll need this. Banca proceeds to hand Lard Nar a mace to use as a form of protection.
"Thanks for the weapon. "Don't mention it. "Alright everybody let's push these freaks back to their disease ridden swamp hole. Banca says as everybody agrees in unison.
Guess Lard Nar will have to wait to relay Lenny's message until after these pillagers are delt with. Something tells me that they aren't here to drink coffee and talk about how their life's are going.
Lard Nar had made it to the courtyard with Banca and headed to the front gate to meet with Axsel. He had already barricaded the front gate as best as he could.
"They here yet? Banca asks as she seems to be in a hurry to get rid of these unwelcomed guests. "Almost. "We can see them walking up the path as we speak.
"Also great to see that he chose to stay and lend a hand. "Guess I was wrong in thinking you'd leave us to fight on our own. "This isn't the time. "Whatever you say.
"Look shut up and at least try not to be a massive tool. "Fine I'll try. "Good let's see what she wants this time. "Though I have a feeling I know exactly what she wants.
"What does she want? "She wants us to hand over half our supplies as well as some people she can use as free labor. "Despite her not deserving any of it.
"She's nothing but a cold malicious wretch of a woman. "I'd call her that but she'd call it a compliment. "She's done this before? "Yes she's shown up roughly seven times asking "nicely" in her words.
"I guess she's done asking. "I should see what she wants. Banca says and then pushes a button on a speaker to begin talking to her newfound guests.
"That's far enough. "You and your people need to learn to take a hint. We hear a voice shout out from outside after Banca had said that. "What not even gonna say my name anymore?
We hear this figure in a smug tone while trying to hold the urge to laugh at Banca. "You've lost that privilege a long time ago. "That being said take you and your people out of here.
"Never show your faces here again. "Don't force our hands. "This is your only warning. "Ha we have been through this routine before Banca. "Can we please skip to the part where you give us what we want?
"Never. "Fine have it your way. "Alright boys you heard her knock this door down. "OPEN FIRE! Banca shouts towards her left leading to those turrets from before being activated.
They shooted at the unwelcome guests as they took cover from behind some rocks and trees. "I knew you'd use those turrets of yours. "We brought something to deal with that.
"Set forth our secret weapon. "What did she say? Lard Nar asks curiously as the turrets continue shooting at where they were hiding. "No clue.
A bunch of grenades are seen being tossed over the wall. They were being thrown from every direction and threw everybody off guard. "What are they throwing at us?
Not only that but the turrets suddenly came to a stop. Which is weird cause I don't think that would be possible cause the grenades were thrown inside and not up where the turrets were.
We hear Axsel ask as the grenades all go off at the same time. "TEAR GAS! "EVERYBODY FIND SOMETHING TO COVER YOUR FACE! Banca shouts as her Lard Nar and Axsel get out of harms way.
Banca quickly led Lard Nar and Axsel to a crate and takes out a face covering for them to use. "Quick put this on. The front gate suddenly opens as the one in charge begins making her way through the town.
"Alright guess who's back. She says as she and several figures push through the town. "We need to stop them before they get to hospital or the residential area. "If they do then she'll try to take people by force.
"Hopefully he can handle it. "Trust me I've handled stuff like this before. "Though it wasn't as many people. "What an amateur? "Look whatever your issue is with me.
"Let me stop you right there before you strain yourself. "Let us take point and lead the charge. "He can join the charge you on the other hand are on thin ice.
"Right..my bad. Banca leads the charge as some of the tear gas starts clearing up. Not much cleared up but it was a start at least. They eventually are cut off by some of the lower henchmen to the one in charge.
They were wearing what looked like gladiator armor on. It wasn't much though but that was compensated by metal gauntlets as well as metal boots.
Think of it like a gladiator knight of some sorts. Yeah that makes sense don't ask me to verify that though. Wouldn't want to look like a total idiot in front of you.
Four of them were blocking their path as they charged towards them with swords. Banca was the first to dodge these henchmen as she throws one them to the side.
Axsel dodges a couple of slashes from one before proceeding to disarm and stab the gladiator with his sword. He then takes his weapon and slashes the gladiator across the face.
Lard Nar smacks the sword out of the hands of the other two gladiators. This would lead to Banca grabbing one and choking him out. The other one would be stabbed through the chest by Axsel.
"Is that all? Axsel says with his usual smug tone at you know killing two people. "Don't celebrate yet there's still a bunch of them left. "Then let's get rid of them then.
"Their climbing over the walls. Lard Nar says pointing out this discovery to Banca. The vortian says as they look to see several figures climbing over the wall.
"We need to hurry before they push to far in. "Yes let's go. The trio continues to charge towards the town center but was stopped before they got to the door.
That was due to a heavy metal object flying at them knocking all three down to the ground. "Wha..what happened? We hear Lard Nar say as he holds on to his head.
"Somebody threw something. "More specifically at us. "Right but who threw it? "She did. Banca responds to both Lard Nar and Axsel by pointing to something in the distance.
Laughing is then heard in the background getting closer to them. After awhile we see the main figure behind this raid and she was an interesting figure to say the least.
We see she had a piercing on her lip and nose and had a full metal chestplate and helmet on. She also had the same leggings as her peers. Her skin was brown like that of leather or more like brown leather is what I am saying.
She had green eyes that looked like they could pop out of her head on command. When she finished her laughing she grabs her weapon and stares at her handiwork.
"Try and pay attention. "After all I am trying to take your town after all. "Bite me. "Is that all Banca figured you'd have more than that. "I am more than willing to show you.
Banca says trying to get up before being kicked off to the side. "That it? The Figure picks up her weapon and flaunts it around like a trophy as she tries to get Banca to stand up.
"Get off the ground and face me. She says as two more of her henchmen make their way over to where everybody was. "Eh you heard me. "You losing your hearing or something.
Banca refused to respond to The Figure as she kept poking and prodding her with her metal staff weapon thing. Honestly that's the best I was able to come up with.
"HEY ANSWER ME! "STOP! Lard Nar suddenly shouts in hopes of stopping this from continuing. "Or what you going to do something about it.
"Yes..as a matter of fact I will. "Really what would that be? "You going to hit a girl? "If I have to then yes. "Ha ok then. "Get off your sorry butt and do something then.
"Cause once you do I'll knock every last tooth out of your mouth. "I might even make a necklace out of it if I am lucky. The Figure says as Lard Nar stands up to face the figure.
She was a couple of inches taller than Lard Nar but that didn't deter the vortian at all. "Well you going to do something or stand there? "Before I do I wish to make a request.
"What makes you think I want to hear this. "You'll want to..trust me. "Alright then..speak. "Both you and I fight right here and if I win you and your cronies leave and never return.
"If you win then you can take the three of us plus the friends I brought here home with you and your group. "Really you being for real? The Figure looks dumbfounded at what Lard Nar said clearly confused at what was said.
"Yes. "How many friends you bring? "Two. "That's all you'll get. "You are to leave the people here alone and stay content with us. "Hm this offer it sounds great.
"Though how am I to know you'll keep your end of the bargain. "What good would lying to you be? "Besides what do you have to lose? "Same as everybody here.
"That being everything. "Ok enough of the sob story I get it. "Fine I accept your offer. "Let's get started. "Wait before we do I have one more thing to say.
"UGH what is it. "I am running out of patience. "Whatever it is it better be good. "Remember when you told Banca she should be paying attention?
"Yeah what about it? "Turns out you should've been the one paying attention. "Eh what do you mean by that? She would get her answer as she is shot in the leg from a distance.
Upon further observation we see that the cause of this was from Kalaq. "Sorry am I interrupting anything? Kalaq says as he runs over to where everybody else is.
The two henchmen charge at Kalaq but he was able to fight them off. The Figure on the other hand seemingly shrugs off the pain that Kalaq did and swings her weapon and hits Kalaq in the chest with it.
Lard Nar goes to block her from hitting him again but is grabbed by the throat and shoved back. This allowed Axsel to get up and kick The Figure in the chest before going for an elbow that was blocked.
Banca being the final one to get up charges The Figure with a knife and stabs her in the stomach with it. This makes her drop the weapon and stuns her for a second.
Finally Lard Nar grabs his mace from earlier and smacks The Figure in the face with it sending her to the ground. He drops the weapon as everybody surrounds The Figure.
"It's over Gerla. "Either leave or your people will be carrying your corpse out of here. Banca says towards The Figure who's holding her head in pain after getting hit with a mace.
"So you finally decide to use my name. "Good thought you lot had amnesia or something. "Enough of the jokes. "Get up and leave. "I don't think you understand.
"I am in control here. She says as we several of her henchmen surround them. There was about fifteen of them that were armed with there spears all aimed at the group.
"See what did I tell you. "Best thing is that's not even it. Two more figures are seen escorting Skloonktapooxis head over to the main area of the town.
"We found this one leaving the residential area head mistress. "Head mistress? Axsel says staring back at Gerla with a confused look on his face.
"Yeah I wanted to try something new. "Though it sounded better. "Hm sounds to me like your compensating for something. "Joke all you want I am the one in control here.
"Did you two find any new recruits? "No in fact we couldn't find anybody. "They were hiding and we couldn't find them. "Ugh fine guess I'll do it myself.
She says as she stands up off of the ground while still holding her jaw. "Alright here's what's we're going to do. "Tell me where your people are hiding and I won't have to "get violent" if you catch my drift.
"I'd rather take his gun and shoot myself than sell out the people here. Banca says defiantly all the while staring daggers into Gerla. "I ain't giving you a choice.
"You either do what I ask or we will start shedding blood. "Get it through your thick skull I am not giving you anything. "So leave while your still able to.
"Ha I knew you were deaf but I didn't think you were blind. "Do you not see we have the numbers advantage? "That doesn't mean anything to me.
"Whatever you say besides I am more interested in his offer. "Seeing how I won I invoke my right to claim my prize. "You never even beat me. "We beat you.
"Really cause it don't look like you won. "It doesn't have to be a clean win as long it's a win. "Spoken like a true bandit. "Yeah yeah whatever. "You lot are heading home with us.
"And there ain't nothing you lot could do about it. Gerla says as she picks up her weapon and flaunts it around like a toy again. When she does this she turns her back to the entrance of the town.
This is soon to be the worst decision of her life as she shot dead by an unknown attacker. Her laughing was brought to a stop by a bullet hitting her in the face.
Her helmet had only covered head leaving her face exposed to stuff like this. She falls back leaving everybody in shock at what happened. Not only that but there were figures heading into the town.
They all had guns drawn and aimed at Gerla's henchmen. Not knowing what to do they put their hands up and surrender out of fear. Mind you there were seven figures aiming guns at them.
Not to far behind them an eighth figure who was unarmed but was recognized by Lard Nar. It was Lenny who had brought back up with him to the town.
"Lenny? Lard Nar says obviously confused at what was going on. He was even more confused as he sees that Lenny had brought with him some Resisty Members.
"Yeah that's right. "Friendly neighborhood Lenny is here to save the day. "Wait that's probably already taken. "Ok I am uh here to save the day. "You guys on the other hand the door is that way.
"That is unless you want to join her. The figures slowly and reluctantly make their way out seeing as they no longer had the numbers advantage. "Tell any stragglers to leave as well ok.
"We're clear. Lenny says before heading over to everybody else. "Lenny I..I thought I told you to stay at the ship. "You did but I snuck out after I got worried about you guys.
"Turns out my worries were valid. "You brought back up to. "Yeah and before you get mad I want to say that I had good intentions. "I want to be mad at the risks you took but I can't.
"What? "I want to be mad but seeing as how you did it for us. "That's what we expect from The Resisty. "People willing to take risks if it means we make the universe a better place.
"That being said WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! "Uh I am getting mixed messages here. "You sneaking out could have risked more of us getting stranded here.
"I am confused wasn't that the backup for if something goes wrong? "I know but that doesn't mean I wanted that to be the case. "I don't think anybody did.
"Sorry I might've gotten a little worked up seeing as we almost were taken hostage by her. Lard Nar says pointing at Gerla's body in a calmer mood.
"Granite it's my fault that she had that idea in the first place. "Good to see you again "Lenny". Banca says chiming into the conversation as she gathers herself from what happened.
"Banca..it's good to see you again. "Seeing how you didn't have to pull me out of a crashed ship. "Yes that was an..eventful experience. "I also see you haven't told them.
"I was going to. "It's that I uh was nervous. "You know the longer you hide it the worse they'll take it. "What is she talking about? Kalaq says slowly staring at Lenny with confusion.
"Yeah what is she talking about? Lard Nar asks next as his curiosity is peaked. "I want to know to. Skloonktapooxis quickly says as he makes his way over to everybody else.
"You won't accept me if I do. "What of course we would. "What would make you think such a thing? "If you only knew what lied underneath this helmet.
"Look Lenny take it off and I promise you will still be accepted by us. "You promise? "Yes I promise. "Alright fine I'll do it. After what felt like forever Lenny takes his helmet off and reveals who he truly is.
To everybody's shock he wasn't anything that anybody expected him to be. Lenny had revealed himself to be an irken who's eyes were fixated on Lard Nar in particular.
His eyes stared at the vortian with an expression of fear and worry. "He..hey it's uh me. "Lenny your..irken? "Yeah and I uh guess it's a bad time to say that Lenny isn't my name.
"It was a fake name that I had came up with. "How long did you intend to hide this from us? "I wanted to tell you but I didn't know how to say it.
"Or was it because you were plotting to turn us into The Tallest. "No that's not at all what I was doing. "I doubt that. "Irkens have a history of doing this to anybody without an ounce of regret.
"Do you think we'd buy into this facade? "Well we did once. Skloonktapooxis says chiming in from the background. "Yes but that was different.
"He was armed and clearly a threat. "Who says he won't be different? "I will. Banca said being the only one to defend "Lenny" from being berated any further.
"Forgive me Banca but I don't see how you can defend him. "He isn't with The Armada anymore. "What? "He left after he realized how horrible things were there.
"What they were doing not only to enemies of The Armada but to other irkens. "His pak labeled him as defective and he left in a ship before his commander could find him.
"He crashed his ship here and we had to save him. "I had told him about you and The Resisty after he said he wanted to serve people who weren't monsters.
"That about right Tealk? "Ye..yes. "I..I never meant to hide any of that from them. "I didn't want to ruin it cause their all so nice and caring. "Lard Nar especially was the nicest out of everybody.
"He treated me the best and didn't make me feel awkward. "I am truly sorry for lying about who I really am. "I only wanted to be accepted by people who aren't evil like they are.
"I don't know what to say about this. "I don't want to trust you but if what she said is true than. "I don't have any idea what to do. "If you ask me I don't buy a single word he said.
We hear Kalaq say at everything Tealk had said to everybody. "Hm you sure cause I believe him. Skloonktapooxis says being nicer than what Kalaq said.
"I truly am sorry for hiding this. "Nothing I do will ever change that. "But please you know I can't go back to them. "They'll kill me. "My commander will kill me and won't be quick or easy about it.
Tealk says practically begging on his knees at this point desperately wanting to stay. Lard Nar stood there and stared at Tealk for what seemed like forever until he responded.
"Look uh this is a lot to take in. "Do it take the turncoat and see what happens. "Cause I promise it'll only makes things worse for you in the future.
A voice suddenly says interrupting Lard Nar's train of thought. He shakes it off while holding his head as if it were hurting."You take him in and I promise that you'll regret it.
Lard Nar snaps out of whatever it was that he was dealing with before responding to Tealk. "You..you can stay with us. He says struggling to speak in a coherent manner.
"Really? "Yes only on the condition..that you don't make me regret it "Th..th..thanks and I promise on everything I own I won't make you regret it. "Granite I don't own much but you get the idea.
"Good then uh we should probably get everybody settled in here. "I agree get the members that are staying here and we can finish this up.
"You got it Banca. "Ok everybody this will take awhile but soon everything will be in place. "In the meantime let's head back to the ship before they leave without us.
"Woohoo let's get going. "I bet they're worried sick about us. They head off to gather the members that would be staying while they continued to try and expand The Resisty to be a credible threat against The Irken Armada.
As for Tealk he is excited knowing that he was accepted by Lard Nar. Despite that he will still have to wait a LONG TIME before he is fully trusted by anybody.
That's to be expected as Lard Nar is doubtful on Tealk being friendly. While Kalaq straight up doesn't believe him at all. Looks like the path to being trusted is going to take awhile.
They had made it back to The Resisty's ship after escorting the last of the members to Banca's town. "Finally we did. "Everybody's been accounted for and are settling in.
"Hm that's great and all Lard but you sure he can be trusted? Ixane questions Lard Nar as she remains doubtful of the irkens intentions of being loyal.
"Look I don't fully trust him yet either. "Especially after Daqon we can't afford to trust anybody we let on board. "Let alone an irken. "That's not stopping Spleenk from taking a liking to him.
"Hopefully he can be taught not to think of things that could get us killed. "Though that is wishful thinking. "Cut him slack he tries his best. "I know and it's not like he does it on purpose.
"I also need to know what's up with your paranoia? "It's been making you act weird. "Weirder than usual I should say. "No clue. "From what I've been able to tell it seems like the voice I hear threatens us.
"Us as in everybody in The Resisty? "Yes and something about getting revenge. "Do you think it's Daqon? "It might be but I don't know for sure. "If it is then we have another issue to worry about.
"Hopefully we never see him again. "I second that. "After last time I hoped that pod crashed into an asteroid and killed him. "That seems harsh for you say.
"Daqon made it like that. "Makes me wish for the day we stop The Irken Armada more. "I know it does but we need to stay strong. "Ok but if we see him again then I am going to lose it.
"Let's avoid that. "Yet again I agree with you. "Say Lard where exactly are we heading next? "Foodcourtia there's a guy there that can get us some supplies for us.
"Supplies that'll make us seem like more of a threat. "What type of supplies? "Schematics for upgrades for the ship. "That and he's got a way to disrupt The Tallest in a way it hurts. "His words not mine.
"Ok then I'll inform everybody else then. "Thanks and don't worry about the irken he should behave himself. "I hope he does. "I do to. Lard Nar says as he heads back into the ship and set course to their next destination.
As the door close all we are left with is that mystery figure from earlier staring at Lard Nar as he enters the ship. It starts laughing inaudibly as it walks away from where it was hiding at.
Whoever this figure is we would soon find out but I don't think it'll be for the better. No something tells me this will only bad for the members of The Resisty.
We transition to a familiar looking rooftop as we see Deiol stand near the edge with his dad. "Things haven't went as we wanted. Deiol's Dad says while admiring the view of the roof.
"I disagree Dad apart from a few we have done a great job. "We managed to kill three invaders over the span of a weekend. "Not to mention put the irken responsible for this in a coma.
"Invader Skutch? "Yes the one who in his words unknowingly killed and took her away from us. "We will have to kill him. "Coma or not he has a debt that needs to be paid with his death.
"As for the other invaders who survived there is no cause for concern. "I predict that they will gather together and try to find us. "When they do they will all die.
"You certain of that? "Yes. "Seeing as how Igon let Liera walk free after he did what he asked. "And Yebot was freed we have nothing to worry about.
"Breathe easy Dad soon the monsters responsible for all this will be dead. "Her death will soon be avenged. "Good that means this madness can all end right?
"Yes and it'll be a day that will be celebrated to the end of time. Deiol says as he and his dad continue to stare off into the view that thier hiding spot gave.
This was it everything that he wanted was going to end here. Though I have a feeling a certain bunch of invaders won't let what he wants become a reality.
Thank you for once again choosing to take the time to read the stories that I created for you all. It feels great to share my creativity with everybody.
Especially on a show that I enjoy watching so yeah that's an added bonus. Hopefully you all enjoy it to cause that would yet another added bonus.
To think we haven't even scratched the surface of this story's potential. Once we do is when I will feel a ounce of adrenaline that makes you have a calm sound mind.
Also it's the end of Phase Two in the next story which is something I never expected. Here we are at the finale of Phase Two and it will surely be a thing witness for yourself.
