At Meredith's, Amelia was quite anxious about the dinner. She knew Arizona was coming and she didn't know how things were going to be between the two of them. She was trying to set up things at dinner table, which she usually didn't care at all. The act made Meredith confused.

"Why are you so worried about setting the table? Also, why are you measuring the distance between the plate and the fork?" – Meredith laughed when she caught Amelia doing that.

"No reason. I just wanted to help, that's all" – Amelia explained, without looking at Meredith's face, since she would figure out that was a lie.

"Wait. What are you nervous about? This is classic Amelia" – Meredith asked, curious.

"What do you mean "Classic Amelia"? Sounds offensive" – Amelia frowned.

"When you're nervous you either babble non-stopping or you start to straighten things up" – Meredith commented.

"I'm not nervous" – Amelia said, clearly nervously.

"What happened, Amelia?" – Meredith held Amelia's arm. She knew something was going on.

Amelia sighed and decided to tell Meredith. Maybe it was a good thing to talk about that aloud and ease her mind.

"Can you promise this won't leave this room? Please. Don't tell anyone, not even Maggie" – Amelia begged.

"Jesus, what's wrong? Now I'm worried" – Meredith exclaimed.

"Can you promise me?" – Amelia asked again.

"Yes, I promise. Now tell me" – Meredith asked.

"Well… I… Me…" – Amelia was stammering.

"Amelia, for God's sake, you're worrying me" – Meredith yelled.

"I slept with Robbins. We slept together when she was working on that case with me. And then she came this weekend to a medical conference, we were out on a date on Friday, that's why I needed your help with Scout" – Amelia confessed.

"And that's why you're nervous?" – Meredith asked, a little confused.

"She's coming tonight" – Amelia said.

"I know, and now I understand why there's a big dinner tonight. But wait… you said Maggie doesn't know about it. Was your idea to have the dinner?" – Meredith was confused.

"No. It was Maggie's. The reason I'm nervous is because what we started ended really fast, and I don't know how it's gonna be tonight between us" – Amelia was clearly sad talking about it. - "And because I have real feelings for her"

"Wait. Hold on. Is it over? Why? What happened?" – Meredith asked.

"Kai showed up" – Amelia explained.

"What? Where?" – Meredith asked, surprised.

"Friday, when we were leaving the restaurant" – Amelia sighed.

"Wait… but how did they know where you were?" – Meredith asked.

"They didn't. They just showed up hoping they would run into me" – Amelia said.

"And then? What happened?" – Meredith was starting to get furious.

"Just a big scene and drama and Arizona left us alone. We talked yesterday, though, but I said it was better for us not to go forward" – Amelia explained.

"You and Kai?" – Meredith was heavily confused.

"Me and Arizona" – Amelia affirmed.

"Why? Do you want to go back with Kai?" – Meredith asked, trying to understand.

"No, Mer. I actually need to be alone for a while and things with Arizona wouldn't be easy because of the distance. I didn't want to hurt her or get myself hurt. But boy… it's hard. She's one of a kind, you know?" – Amelia confessed.

"Well, I'm actually surprised to say that, but I think you're right. I mean, long-distance relationships aren't easy and I do think you need to learn how to love yourself a little bit more without being in a relationship, for once" – Meredith said, for Amelia's surprise.

"I didn't expect you to agree with me, actually" – Amelia laughed.

"Me neither. But…" – Meredith started.

"There's always a but…" – Amelia sighed.

"Long-distance doesn't mean impossible. If what you feel for Robbins is real, you can make it work" – Meredith said and soon they were interrupted by the bell.
