Blake Misaki was seated on one of the many couches in the Xavier Institute library, deeply engulfed into the second book of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games series. She had started reading Catching Fire, the night before and eventually had to force herself to put the book down, in order to go to sleep. She decided that now would be the perfect time to pick it back up, while waiting on her friend, River, to join her in the library.

River Borodin was the younger sibling of institute teacher, Dante Borodin. River also used the name Youth Fountain, because of their unique mutation. River's mutation allowed them to transfer lifeforce through touch. River had done their best to keep their mutation a secret from most people until an incident had occurred during the previous school year.

Bryce Harrington, a fellow classmate had been all but killed by a former student, but River managed to get his heart started again. They both had nearly died in the incident and despite appearances, River was still healing from the situation, months later.

Blake had been pulled from her book by the sound of someone whistling lightly, making their way into the library was not River, but an adult couple. The man in the group looked strangely familiar for a moment before it dawned on Blake where she had seen him before.

"Agent Barton?" She questioned as she stood from the couch.

The man in question smiled at her with slight confusion, before realizing how they knew one another.

"Creed's Sister, right?" He returned, getting a nod in response, "Sorry, remind me your name again?" He added getting a look from his female companion.

"Blake Misaki!" The girl told him, extending a hand to him as well as the other woman.

"Right… Well, this is my wife, Laura!" He introduced the teen to the woman, "Blake's older brother is one of Nat's agents on her new assignment!" He continued.

"God help him then!" Laura told them both with a chuckle, "It's very nice to meet you, you're a student here then?" She asked the teen who nodded.

"Yeah, I start my junior year in the fall!" She told the older.

"Do they offer summer classes here?" The older asked in slight confusion.

"Oh no, my father teaches here, and we live here full time… Most of us who are related to the staff live here all year round actually!" She told the agent and his wife, "Plus there are some of us whose parents aren't super supportive of our mutant status, so there are a decent number of us here throughout the summer!" She added seeing the other two nod sadly.

Blake thought for a moment before asking the two what brought them to the school.

"So… what brings a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and his wife to a school for mutants anyway?" Blake asked the two casually.

"Our daughter… Lila…" Clint began before looking to his wife.

"About three months ago some things started changing for her, turns out she's… like you!" Laura finished for him, getting a nod of understanding from the teen, "Look's like she's going to be coming to school here next year!" She added, Blake smiled in response.

"Great, I helped give new student tours last year and I'll probably do that again this year too." Blake told the two adults, "I'll keep an eye out for her on her first day!" She added receiving a smile and a nod from the parents.

"Well, what a thoughtful gesture!" The three turned to a voice that came from behind the teen, "I expect nothing less from you though Miss Misaki, now if you'll excuse us for a moment…" The voice spoke again.

Blake stepped to the side so the two could make acquaintances with the person who had spoken.

"Mr. and Mrs. Barton, my name is Dr. McCoy… It's nice to meet you both!" Beast introduced himself, before Blake bid them all goodbye.

Several hours after meeting up and taking the bus to the Prime house, River and Blake were stepping into the living room, discussing the two parents who Blake had ran into at the school library.

"So, hold on… who did you see at the school?" River questioned as the two rounded the corner, waving at their friends Ruby and Bryce who were seated on the bench of the window seat.

"Clint Barton from S.H.I.E.L.D. and his wife!" Blake replied, moving to sit down in her brother's armchair.

"They were at the Institute?" Ruby questioned, joining in on the conversation, "Why?" She added looking from her boyfriend to the two newcomers.

"Their daughter is a mutant!" Blake told the group, "She's starting school with us next year!" She continued, looking over as she heard the door open.

A moment later P.R.I.M.E. members Envy, Lorna, Darius, and Colton were piling through the door and into the living room.

"Hey sis how's it hangin'?" Darius asked the younger girl who was seated in his chair.

"Eh… same old shit, different day!" She replied with a casual smirk.

Blake looked back at her classmates with a raised eyebrow, Bryce and River nodded with knowing looks, the teens all silently agreed not to mention the news about the Agent's family. If Agent Barton wanted the Prime kids to know, he could tell them himself.

"So, we've met the two lovebirds and Mr. Annoying's equally annoying sister… What's your story?" Envy questioned, looking at River.

"Just a bored classmate… hangin' out…" River said awkwardly, shuffling off the couch as Colton and Lorna moved to set down beside them.

"Ok…" Envy replied as she moved to plop down on the floor next to the teen, taking noticeable offense when River moved a little further away.

"Sorry… The whole touching thing…" River began, looking away with a small tint on their cheeks.

Envy rolled her eyes at that, River looking back crossly when they noticed the other teens attitude.

"What ever they told you… I'm not just gonna control your mind if we bump each other or something, so chill out dude!" Envy told the other snidely.

"Maybe you should chill out a little bit yourself!" Bryce bit back sharply, knowing more than anyone else why River was moving away from the other.

"I'm allowed to be offended when people like him, or anyone else acts like touching me will kill them!" Envy snapped back; cheeks flushed with anger.

"Would you like it if I called you a him?" River spoke up, making the green girl look over in confusion.

"No… No, I wouldn't…" Envy responded after a minute, "Are you a her?" She added seeing River shake their head.

"I'm a them… or just don't refer to me at all!" River pointed out calmly, moving to stand.

Envy also stood after a moment, crossing her arms over her chest defensively.

"People act like touching me would be poisonous or dangerous… it isn't exactly detrimental to your health…" She told the other, who looked over with an angry smirk.

"It would be detrimental to my health though…" River stated, the girl seeing red at that comment, "Can you turn yours off?" They added, Envy's confusion grew as she slowly nodded her head.

"Yeah…" She told the other, who laughed bitterly.

"Well good for you… because I can't…" River briefly looked away for a minute, "At least your problem is just trust, which can be built, I can't hug my brother without double checking that I am fully covered first, I had to break up with my boyfriend because he couldn't even kiss me without risking my life… stop with your pity party and maybe consider yourself lucky!" River finished, looking away with anger.

After a moment passed, they told the group they were running up to the bathroom. Leaving a stunned looking group, save for Bryce and Envy, who both just stared at the doorway with a look of sympathy.
