Chapter 15: What to do?

At The Watchtower

"We could recreate the event but for all we know, you'll end up where dinosaurs never went extinct..." Flash spoke.

"Or somewhere worse, like an Earth where everyone you know is evil or everyone you know was never born..."Kara added, knowingly Danny wondered if that had actually happened.

Danny started panting as it was getting to him.

"SO, I'M STUCK HERE?!..."He yelled.

He was stuck in a world where everyone and almost everything he knew wasn't here and even worse, his home, his family and friends are are going crazy or being attacked by ghosts without him.

This was bad.

This was really bad.

"No, this is not happening!..."Danny thought as he started hyperventilating.

Kara and the others were actually getting concern.

"Calm down, Danny..."Kara said in concern.

The ghost boy just looked at Kara, for once not lost in how beautiful she is but because he is still freaking out over being marooned in another dimension.

"How can I calm down?! I just learned that I'm stuck on some other dimension and I have no way to get back home or get in touch with my friends or family..."Danny said, stressed out.

"Easy kid, calm down..."The Flash said as he put a hand on his shoulder.

"Panicking won't help you, you need to stay calm if you're going to find a way home..."Wonder Woman added.

Danny was still freaking out but tried to calm down. Once he stopped hyperventilating, the adult heroes turned to him.

Kal-El was the one who spoke.

"Okay kid, look...I know you're going through a lot right now, but you can't lose it..."Superman said and the ghost kid started to listen.

"Okay…" Danny went as the Man of Steel continued.

"You clearly have people you want to get back to and we want to help you do that ..."The buff hero started.

"Just don't freak out anymore. I mean, I know it's what I'd be doing if I were in your place, but I would also remember that losing your mind won't do you any favors ..."The Flash added while showing the most sympathy of the older heroes.

Superman nodded as he looked to his teammates and then approached the ghostly kid.

"You told us the truth, helped us take down the Atomic Skull and you saved my cousin..."Superman said. "We promised that we'd help you find your way home and that's what we're going to do..."He said.

"But how?..."Danny asked.

"We'll speak with a few contacts of ours and find something. Until then, you may be here a while..."Batman said, still looking stoic but understanding of his situation .

"Yeah, not sure how long that while will be but we'll work on this..."Green Lantern added.

Danny wasn't so sure but decided to go along with the leagues plan. He didn't really have any other options .It's not as if he could wait at home since Amity Park doesn't even exist on this Earth.

The ghostly boy groaned as he looked at the other heroes.

"So, what do I do in the meantime?..."Danny asked.

"Until we figure out a way to get you home, it's best if you remain here in the Watchtower for now..."Batman said.

The adult heroes nodded and Kara was agreeing since Danny needed somewhere to stay until he could get home. Danny looked from the other heroes, before turning his head to Kara and sighed.

"Okay, looks like I don't have much of a choice..."He muttered.

Later

After that event, Danny was brought to the sleeping quarters of the Watchtower, Kara had volunteered to take him to a guest room, since he would be staying for a while.

"Here's your bedroom...for now..."She said as she brought him to his temporary room.

Danny looked around and eyed the room. It was about the size of his room back home, with a window to space, a television in front of the bed and a door that Danny guessed leads to a bathroom.

"Thanks, Supergirl..."He said as he sat down on the bed, still looking to outside the window.

He was taking the bittersweet joy of seeing Earth from space, even if it's not his Earth. Kara sent him a look, before giving him an optimistic smile, she could tell he wasn't taking this well. She had hoped this could help him feel better.

It didn't.

Still, she tried to make the ghost boy feel better and remain calm until he could go home.

"Anyway, this is your quarters for now..."She said. "Just know, I spend my time between here and down on Earth, but there's always a few Leaguers around if you need anything..."She added.

"Sure..."Danny said, still looking down.

Kara didn't want him to continue being miserable, so she tried to give him hope.

"Look, this is just temporary. Half of the smartest people on Earth are in the league, so we'll find something..."She said.

"I'll take your word for it..."The ghost boy said, still looking out the window.

Kara saw this and frowned in disappointment, she didn't know what to say to make Danny feel better about his situation.

"He did seem to like space..."Kara thought, getting an idea.

The alien girl then turned to the ghostly boy and cleared her throat to get his attention.

"Hey Danny, we got time before my cousin comes back from talking to the others..."Kara began. "How about a tour of the Watchtower? It won't be boring..."Kara suggested.

Danny thought about it for a moment. Despite his predicament, he is still pretty excited about this place and learning about it sounded pretty good.

"Okay..."Danny said.

Kara smiled at that.

A little later

Kara took the ghost boy around and gave him a tour of the place.

Since Danny is still new, she knew that her cousin wouldn't want her to show him the off limit places, like the location of the Phantom Zone projector to the League's council room , so she decided to just show him where the kitchen, bathrooms, infirmary and gym are located, as well as the cafeteria.

"And this is where we snack, I can only hope your world has cheeseburgers too..."Kara joked.

"Of course, we're not cavemen..."He said as she giggled.

"And this is also where we get the best meats from Earth and a few other plants. We've got something for every diet..."Kara said to the ghost boy as she showed him the massive selection list.

"Tucker would never want to leave, he would insist this was Heaven..."Danny thought as he could imagine his meat-loving best friend piling every meat they had, straight into his mouth.

He smiled a little as he was still amazed by this place, even if he was stranded in another dimension. Especially since it's a superhero-filled space station with its own dining quarters and a view of the moon.

"Wow..."He said, still in awe of the space station-like place.

"Pretty cool, huh? I bet your place where you hang when you're not saving the day isn't as full equipped..."Kara said with a smirk.

"Well, I just grab things from my parents' basement when they're not at home and...you know..hope that they don't blow up in my face..."Danny chuckled as he walked through the door.

Kara laughed, as it reminded her of when she first started out. She was living on a farm with the family that took her in before deciding to use her powers like Superman does, back then with her homemade costume and Kal not wanting her to put herself in danger or leave the farm. In a way, she can relate to this boy and was kind of impressed that he managed that on his own with what he had on hand.

Anyway, the alien girl then turned to the ghostly boy, giving him a nice smile.

"Come on, lets keep going..."She said before walking with Danny to the next place on the tour.

Unknown to the ghost boy, Superman, due to his advance sight and hearing, could see where they were and what they were doing. He knew that the boy is no threat and until they can get him home, he was stuck here, so they would do their best to help him.

"I just hope we can hurry and find a way to do it..."He said before turning away.

He had to get back to the others, they needed to do was figure out an idea to get Danny home.

Later

After Kara had given him the tour, and even showed him a clear view of where you can see where Neil Armstrong planted the flag on the moon. Danny was still geeking out about that.

Anyway, after that, she and her cousin said that they had to get back to Earth but that they would return as soon as possible.

So now, the ghost boy is on his own and he wasn't sure what to do while he waited.

He laid on the bed of his temporary room, looking up at the ceiling with just his thoughts since the television showed channels, shows and movies he knew nothing about.

The bad news is that it is going to be a while to get home but the good news is that at the very least, he wasn't alone and he had a friend here, a very attractive friend.

Still, it's not like he can talk about her with his friends right now. He couldn't talk about her with anyone since he didn't know anyone here.

"Well, this is still bittersweet..."The ghostly boy sighed as he thought about his problem right now.

He is worried, about being stuck here but also about his friends and family. Nobody but Skulker was there and he doubted he'd let them know right away, if he even knew what exactly happened.

He knew that they were smart and capable but traveling to another Earth isn't something his parents have done before. Unless it's ghost related, it's not something they'd have interest in, much less accomplishing.

The ghost boy yawned and laid down on "his" bed.

"Let's hope Supergirl has some good news when she gets back..."He thought as he plopped his head on the pillow.

With no ideas right now to get home, the ghost boy went to sleep, hoping an answer would come to him tomorrow morning.
