Hawks had finally made it inside the headquarters of LOV after his final test of his faith. It still didn't sit well with him that he had to kill Best Jeanist but he knew it had to be done. He was willing to do anything for his own cause to have a peaceful world where heroes will have too much time on their hands. With his new found privilege of being in base, he decided to take a look around. It was BIG. There was no doubt they could hide a whole army in this building. If this building was big… How big were the rest of the hideouts? He pondered.

He had met Twice, and thought he was a good guy, he also did not seem like the type to be a good villain either. When he told them that Endeavor was taking on 3 interns, Twice was the first to praise him for working so hard for the LOV and even asked for Hawks to be his mentor on the Meta Liberation ideology, "-old you Dabi, I can't right now!" Hawks heard a distressed voice down the corner of the hall.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" He rushed over, and peaked and saw Sparrow and Dabi having an argument.

"Dabi, I have work! I can't always come to your beck and call!" They glared at each other before Dabi grabbed Sparrow's wrist and twisted it so that she wasn't able to move. Sparrow audibly whimpers at the sudden jerk.

"You promised me that you'd be with me!"

"And I am, but please let me finish what I need to do!" without consent Dabi began pulling her to wherever he wanted to take her to.

"No, I need you now," and just like that Sparrow stopped struggling. That sent immediate red flags towards Hawks and without even thinking he walked out towards them and called out.

"Ey boss!" Sparrow turned around to the call of her voice and Hawks couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She looked empty, her eyes were dull and void as if she had shut herself out, "I'm sort of lost, can you tell me where I need to go?" Dabi scoffed.

"Anyone could have told you that Hero," Dabi said, visibly irritated that he was interrupted.

"Yeah, but I feel more comfortable asking Sparrow though, You did assign me to work under her after all" Sparrow's eyes were slowly brought back to life.

"Yeah Dabi, I need to go…" She looked up at Dabi and squeezed his hand tightly in assurance, "I'll meet you there when I come back, I promise," Dabi paused before letting go of her hand and walked off.

"Whatever," Sparrow sighed a breath of relief when Dabi was no longer in view. She looked over at Hawks who looked at her with a small smile.

"So boss, care to lead me to the office?" She smiled and motioned him to follow her, thankful that he decided not to ask questions. They walked in silence, hearing only each other's footsteps, "Favorite snack?"

"Huh?"

"What's your favorite snack?" Sparrow looked at Hawks dumbfounded. He could have asked her anything about what happened earlier with Dabi.

"Of all the things you ask me right now… you ask me about my favorite snack?" Hawks shrugged.

"I figured this was another one of those personal things you don't want me to ask about," she looked over at Hawks and couldn't help but let out a small laugh. He really is something else…

"Dried mangoes," she answered.

"Noted."

Another delivery was finished. Hawks sighed in relief as the death choker was released from his and her neck. Sparrow rubbed her neck before staring off into space. I really don't want to go back right now… she thought, and she really did not want to face Dabi, for all she knew, he could be more upset now that Hawks intervened. She looked over to Hawks who was waiting for her patiently to say if they were to go back or if she had anything more for him to do, "Hawks have you ever flown past the flight limit?" she asked. Everyone that could fly knew about the laws about flying, they could not reach above a certain height.

"No, I'm a hero so I am a law abiding citizen," Sparrow smirked.

"Well let's go fly above the flight limit!" Hawks had a look of hesitation, "Come on! You're a part of the League of Villains now, stop acting like a hero for once and break one pointless law with me."

"Alright, I'm convinced," Hawks gave in, he could tell that she didn't want to go home yet. This could also be a good experience for him too.

"Great, now come on!" she sprinted out the door and shot up into the air, startling him at how fast she was. He rushed trying to catch up with her. This was a lot faster than the usual speed that they flew at and now it seemed like they were evenly matched in speed. Hawks looked over at Sparrow and was slightly taken back. She had this childlike excitement on her face completely different from her usual attitudes. Usually she was either serious or aloof, but now she looked happy. They've spent around two months together on trading routes and all he could ever get out of her was about her favorite things. Now he was going to break a law with her.

They had been flying for quite some time now, they were already over the open ocean, Hawks was observing Sparrow as he usually does. She was waiting for something, eyes scanning for whatever she was looking for., "Sparrow what are you looking for?"

"A storm!" she yelled out over the roaring winds.

"Wait, a storm?!" and as if on queue, a large ominous mass of clouds came into view, Hawks couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by it, "Are you crazy?!"

"A lil! You can turn back if you want" she said before picking up more speed and flying straight towards the storm. There was no way Hawks was going to hear the end from her if he chickened out. So he took a deep breath, said his prayers and followed in after her.

The rain was harsh against his exposed skin, thankful that his visor was able to save his vision. He could see a couple bolts of lighting come from the clouds and he hoped that his luck was good. Sparrow flew around in a circle around Hawks in a playful manner, "Having fun?"

"Oh yeah," he said sarcastically, "Definitely not afraid I'll get hit by lightning," Sparrow chuckled.

"Don't worry, it gets better, trust me" she flies behind him, grabs his collar, and ascends higher into the sky much to his dismay. It took a moment for Hawks to recover from the shock of her grabbing him and sped up to continue ascending up the storm. It was almost like they were enveloped in darkness, until… a flash of light, and he was above the storm and greeted by a beautiful sight. They were above the clouds, way past the flight limit. The clouds were in different hues of reds, purples, yellows, and oranges reflected by the sunset. He was in a state of awe. Who knew this was what was past the flight limit...

"Woah..."

"Beautiful isn't it…" She flew up so that she was flying backwards to look at him, "I used to come up here a lot with my dad, when I was little… he was a law abiding citizen as well, but he also knew that some laws were made to be broken," The winged hero was taken back by the villainess. This was the first personal thing he ever told her. He almost felt happy that he was trusted with such a memory. Wait… Why am I happy about that?

"Sounds like a pretty awesome dad," she smiled softly.

"Yeah he was," before he could ask about anything more, she flew around doing flips and turns, "Now come on, show me if Winged Hero: Hawks can really fly!" and she sped off with Hawks right behind her.

They were having a fun time spinning around each other, doing flips, diving, then Sparrow dove into the clouds and disappeared. Hawks looked around trying to find where she was until she shot out with her arms and wings stretched out, facing up towards the heavens with her eyes closed in pure bliss. He was stunned by how beautiful she looked at that moment. There was no way she could be a villain. Sparrow noticed him staring and smirked, "Hey hero, you're staring."

"No I'm not!" a faint blush dusted on Hawks' nose and cheeks.

"Sure~ come on… we should be heading back…" During the flight back to base, they had a light conversation on more of what Sparrow's favorites were.

"Favorite food?"

"Sushi."

"Really? Expensive taste."

It was already nightfall when they had landed at the roof of headquarters, "Well I better be heading back, don't want to keep the town waiting for too long."

"Alright, see you whenever you decide to come for work."

"I'll try to come tomorrow, also," Hawks looked away trying to hide the blush growing on his face and rubbed the nap of his neck, "could we fly around above the flight limit again sometime?"

"Sure, if we have time after delivery," Hawks grinned.

"Great, oh and," he placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a determined look, "Just know that, if there's anything you need… I'm here for you," You're one of the people I need to save from here, he thought. He was going to make sure that you made it out safely. She smiled sadly and grabbed Hawks hand, hateful for the gesture, "I'll see you tomorrow!" Sparrow made a small wave goodbye as she slowly watched the hero fade from view into the city.

With a sad sigh, she walked towards the door and made her way towards Dabi's room. She had promised him she'd be back. The walk towards him felt long and and she felt like she wanted to puke. So she did what she always did. She took a deep breath in… then out… and went into a dazed trance. When she finally made it to his door, she knocked and out he came without a shirt on, towering over her.

"I missed you," he said. She could tell he was telling the truth. He grabbed her hand and gently pulled her into a hug and closed the door behind her, "You know I need you right?" Sparrow nodded as she looked up into his eyes. They held so much pain.

"I know…" then he went down and kissed her roughly, pulling off her leather jacket to reveal the old bruises and hickeys that weren't covered by her top.
