Trigger Warning: there will be a forced scene here.
It had become a new routine for the winged duo. Fly out and make their deliveries, talk along the way, go back to base, then Hawks goes home. It was a routine that Sparrow began to grow fond of as it gave her mind something else to think about other than being taken advantage of. She became so fond of it in fact that she added 2 more stops to their trading route so that they were out longer. She didn't want to admit it, but he made her happy, "Let's go out for ice cream!" Hawks asked out of the blue.
"Not a chance Hero, I'm a villain, remember?" Hawks pouted, "can't afford to be seen, plus you'd stand out like a sore thumb.
"True… How bout I bring it here?" Sparrow rolled her eyes. When was the last time I had ice cream? She pondered.
"Sure," Hawks smiled happily. Too happily for Sparrow's taste, but that bright smile of his did cheer her up.
"Don't worry, I remember your favorite flavor is strawberry."
"You two are sure getting close," the winged do looked over to the entrance of the office and Saw Dabi leaning on the door frame.
"Hey Dabi…" Sparrow greeted cautiously. It was hard to tell if he was upset or not, he was blank as a stone wall and Sparrow made an effort to keep her breathing in check so she wouldn't panic, "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you, you free?" Hawks did his best as well to stay calm. His instincts were telling him that Sparrow was in danger, but he also did not want to start something that will ruin his chances of gaining the League's trust. It took his will power to control his wings from flaring its feathers to appear bigger, "You just finished work right?"
"Yeah I did…" Sparrow looked over at Hawks and smiled pitifully, "I'll see you tomorrow Hawks," and just like that Sparrow walked over to Dabi who wrapped his gnarled arms around her waist pulling her dangerously close. Just as he was about to turn the corner Dabi sent a condescending look in Hawks' way as if to say she's mine. Hawks reluctantly decided to go back to the city which left a bad taste in his mouth.
It had become a routine… Dabi led Sparrow to his room, locked the doors behind him, and Dabi had his way with her. Dabi walked over to Sparrow, smacked her face, grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him, "What was that?"
"I don-" he squeezed her chin tighter causing her to wince in pain.
"Don't be coy with me," the crazed man ripped Sparrow's jacket off her body. The bruises she had before had finally healed, "I saw the way he looked at you, you've been opening your legs to him haven't you."
"No-" Dabi pushed her towards the bed and grabbed her face again so she could see how disgusted he was of her.
"You've been whoring yourself to that hero haven't you," hot tears poured from Sparrow's eyes as she gripped his wrist.
"No."
"HAVEN'T YOU."
"NO!" Sparrow suddenly began to struggle under his grasp which caught him off guard, "Dabi, I would never leave you…" Dabi laughed, mocking her, "I promised you…" this was the first time Sparrow didn't decide to shut down on him. Dabi wasn't stupid, he was aware that her mind would leave when he did these things to her. Then she did something he didn't expect her to do. She tried to touch his face. A touch he wasn't familiar with, it was intimate, soft, loving, "Dabi-" He grabbed her wrist and pulled it away from his face. He didn't like it, she was changing. And it was because of him. He had to change that. Make sure that everyone knew who she belonged to.
He began taking her clothes off and she struggled under his grasp. He held both her wrists above her head as he began to take off his own pants. Without any preparation, forced himself in. Sparrow cried out in pain pleading for Dabi to stop and to listen to her. But he didn't. He needed to make sure everyone knew she was his. His. This time he made sure to leave marks above her neck so that Hawks would see it the next time they met. Then the familiar feeling of Sparrow giving up struggling made it easier for him, "I'm going to make sure he knows that you're mine."
The next day as promised, Hawks showed up with two ice cream cups, one with strawberry and the other with rocky road. Sparrow was sitting down, her head resting on a table. She felt pathetic. Suddenly she felt something cold on her head. She looked up and saw a cup of strawberry ice cream waved in front of her face. Smiling, she grabbed the cup, trying to ignore the fact that Hawks can see the hickeys on her neck and jawline. His face looked serious. He grabbed the seat in front of her and started eating his own ice cream, "I don't remember the last time I had ice cream like this…" she said as she took the first bite out of the scoop. It was cold, as the sweet taste of strawberry enveloped her mouth. Then she took another spoonful, then another, not realizing that tears were flowing down her face. She was thankful that Hawks was the only one there. If she wanted to be happy, she'd hope it would taste like strawberry ice cream.
"Be careful, you might get brain freeze eating at that pace," Hawks chuckled.
"Oh, I don't get brain freezes," she said as she took another bite, "my body is like it's own heater. I never get cold as part of my quirk."
"Oh I thought your quirk was just wings?" Hawks was elated that he was talking about herself. He wanted to know more about her. In fact, he wanted to know everything about her. He didn't know why, he just did. Most of all, he wanted to take her away from here and away from him. But he knew he had to be patient. She had emotional ties to Dabi that would be hard to get past.
"My other part of my quirk comes from my mother, I can control and manipulate fire," she said while taking another bite of her ice cream, "I can consume fire too, but I can only consume so much or else I become a ticking time bomb… That's actually part of the reason I'm around Dabi a lot."
"As like a fire extinguisher?"
"Pretty much… he used to have these random outbursts where he'd just shoot fire everywhere, and I'd be there to take it all," she was about to get another scoop of ice cream, but was met with no more ice cream. She almost felt sad about it, "I guess that was where our relationship sort of started now that I think about it."
"How did you end up in the League of Villains," she hesitated wondering if this was something he should be telling him but he was a good listener, and talking to him made her feel better.
"My home wasn't a good place. There were no heroes to save us anywhere the area was too poor to have a hero agency. One day there was a huge fire that consumed four buildings, no one seemed to have quirks that could put it out except for me and my mom," She rested her head on her arms as she laid it on the table, "of course my mother told me to stay put, and decided to consume all that fire by herself. She succeeded in putting out the fire… but my dad took her up into the sky, next thing I know there was a large explosion and I was made an orphan. Then the boss found me, took me in, gave me a place to stay, and the rest was history."
"That must have been hard…"
"Eh… I try not to dwell on it anymore," she said before sitting up, "by the way we don't have anything to deliver today so you can go home," Hawks immediately grabbed her wrist.
"Actually… I'd like to hang out more. I don't know if villains do that sort of thing," he said whilst scratching the nape of his neck in slight embarrassment.
"We don't, but you said I'm not cut out for villain biz so… maybe when my bruises heal?" his wings visibly drooped, "But for now how about we just go for a fly?"
