Laplus Darknesss laughed maniacally as she admired the iridescent cube on the table in front of her.
"Finally." She breathed, a wide smile stretching across her face. "The solution to every problem is within my grasp..."
"Okay, fill me in, what is this thing?" Lui asked, eyeing the cube suspiciously.
"This, Lui, is the path to realizing holoX's goal of world domination!" Laplus exclaimed excitedly.
"YOUR goal of world domination." Koyori interjected, rolling her eyes.
Laplus continued as if she hadn't heard the coyote girl, "Behold, The Godcube!" she said holding the cube aloft triumphantly.
"This little cube is said to grant infinite power to whoever can open it! And thanks to Chloe and Iroha here..." She gestured to the pair that was standing opposite her.
"I've got everything we need." she grinned, placing the cube back onto the table.
"So... how does one open it exactly?" Lui questioned curiously, staring at the cube with intrigue.
"Ah, well..." Laplus mumbled, "All you have to do... is..." she trailed off.
Chloe frowned, "Don't tell me you don't know..." she sighed.
"Of course I know!" the white haired girl snapped back defensively.
"It's just... complicated." She mumbled, pulling on the cube as if trying to open it like a gift box.
Koyori gave an exasperated sigh, "Gimme that." she snatched the cube from Laplus, ignoring the glare sent her way by the girl.
She examined it closely, turning it over in her hands a few times.
"Are we really supposed to open it?" Koyori wondered aloud.
"Better question is where Lap-chan found her information on this thing." Lui chuckled.
"Oh, be quiet!" Laplus huffed, folding her arms and glaring at the taller girl.
Lui extended her hand, "Let me see that for a second, Koyori." she said.
Koyori handed the cube over to her, watching expectantly as Lui studied the cube, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"Seriously, what do you do with this thing? It just seems like a block of minerals to me..." she remarked
"Great, so me and Iroha stole this thing for nothing?" Chloe groaned.
"Relax, Chloe." Lui reassured, still studying the cube, noticing a small crack in one of the corners.
"Koyori, I want you to research The Godcube, figure out how to make it work!" Laplus commanded, pointing to the coyote.
"Sure thing." Koyori nodded.
Everyone jumped as Lui suddenly smashed the cube against the table, breaking it in two with a resounding CRACK.
"Lui! What the-" Laplus began.
"It's open." Lui stated, a triumphant smirk appearing on her lips.
Before they could say anything else, a loud rumbling sound filled the room as a bright light erupted from the cube, engulfing the five girls, and forcing them to shield their eyes.
The light finally died down, revealing five figures that had seemingly appeared from nowhere; five women standing in a row, facing holoX.
"Who... who are you?" Laplus managed to get out.
"We... are The Council."
