Holo City, the place where all the members of Hololive reside. Here they live peaceful lives as part of the biggest Vtuber company in the world, but when five ancient Gods are released upon the world, it descends into a land of chaos and destruction! Can HoloMyth and IRyS put the Gods back to rest before they destroy the world as they know it?

4. Chapter 4

"What?!" Gura exclaimed disbelievingly, "How can you tell?"
"The Ancient One's texts described the apocalypse being brought on by the opening of The Godcube and the arrival of six vengeful Gods, leading to the demise of all humans on Earth..." Ina explained, staring at The Council with wide eyes.
"Eh? But there's-" Kiara began, but was cut off by Baelz's voice:

"Such a shame, really..." she drawled, her right hand glowing red as she readied some sort of energy attack, "Girls, the mission starts now."
She snapped the fingers of her left hand and the rest of Council readied their weapons; Kronii and Mumei wielded a pair of swords and a dagger respectively while Fauna's hands glowed green with power.

"Not so fast, what are you here to do exactly?" Calli challenged, glaring at the group of gods.
Baelz scoffed, "Take over the world of course, I figured that was obvious." she commented smugly.
"That's insane!" Kiara blurted out.
"We're not just going to let you do that!" Gura spat, her trident appearing in her hands with a small flash of blue light.
Baelz smirked, "You can try, but I'm warning you: you're no match for Gods!" she laughed.
Calli growled and equipped her scythe, the long, curved blade appearing at her side in an instant.
Kiara followed suit, her sword and shield appearing in her hands with a small burst of orange flame, while Amelia readied her pistol.

"Guys, wait!" Ina shouted, stepping in front of her friends, and holding her hands up, "We can't win against them! You'll die if you try!"
"What other options do we have Ina? We can't just let them destroy the city and take over!" Calli argued.
"We have to stop them!" Amelia insisted.
"I agree with Ina, we have a slim chance of winning this." Irys added.
"So? If we don't try, we definitely can't win!" Gura insisted.

"What's the matter girls? Lost your nerve?" Baelz taunted, laughing cruelly.
"Smart." Fauna added "But you're only prolonging your fate."
"Don't be so cocky!" Kiara shouted, raising her sword, and pushing past Ina.
Gura, Calli, and Amelia followed suit and, after a moment of hesitation, Ina and Irys joined the fray as battle began on the city streets.
