A/N: I know I know, it has been forever since I last updated. Really sorry. I kinda lost my muse for this one. Hoping that it is coming back. I am really not sure where this story is going so if people have ideas please let me know. I will be updating (not regularly) hopefully more often. All mistakes are mine, I haven't proofread since I really wanted to get this posted. If there are any confusing mistakes please let me know. R&R please!

Saturday finally rolled around and Emma couldn't be more excited.

Regina helped her get her Storybrooke youth soccer uniform on and sat her down at the breakfast bar to eat her apple, yogurt, and milk.

Regina made sure to pack extra water and a granola bar just in case Emma got hungry. Regina had everything pack and ready to go.

Emma finished her breakfast and was ready to go. Regina walked to the bottom of the stairs getting ready to yell up to Henry to hurry up so they could go, Henry came running down the stairs. "Sorry mom, I missed my alarm"

Regina sighed and said, "Its fine. Grab something to eat and lets go.I'm putting the bags into the car and strapping Emma in. I want you out the door by the time I'm finished."

Henry smiled and ran into the kitchen grabbing a apple and a applesauce, before running to the car. Henry ran past Regina and said, "Ready" before jumping into the passengers seat.

Regina rolled her eyes and thought, "Teenagers".

They made it on time with a little to spare. Henry and Emma talked about Emma scoring a goal during the game and how fast Emma can run with the ball.

Regina smiled and the conversation but bit her lip to hide her anxiety. Regina knew she was over reacting but she was anxious that Emma would get hurt or she would be disappointed if she doesn't score. Regina ignored those thoughts and let her mind focus on other issues like, is Avery actually going to remember and show up?, is he going to bring his father?, Is Emma going to take to him?

Regina and Henry walked to the bleachers where they got front row seats so they could see Emma's game clearly.

Emma was on the field warming up with her teammates.

The game was about to start and Regina had already taken about 20 pictures. While the coach talked Emma's team, Regina continued to look for Avery.

The ref blew the whistle and Regina turned her attention back to Emma thinking well I guess I should have known he wouldn't show up.

The game had been going on for about 20 minutes, and the score was tied. So far a little boy, Sam, and a little girl, Lauren, scored for Emma's team.

Regina watched as Emma was playing defense and running down the field, when her name was called, "R-Regina?"

Regina turned her head to look at whoever had called her name.

To say Regina was surprised would be an understatement, Avery Gold was standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a balloon, in the shape of a soccer ball, that said 'good job'.

Regina smiled a little and scooted over a little to give Avery a place to sit.

Avery shyly sat down and said, "Sorry I'm late. I couldn't decide which flowers she would like."

Regina smiled and her heart warmed a little at the thought of Avery trying to pick out the perfect bouquet of flowers for Emma.

Regina nodded her head and said, "No worries. Both teams have scored twice."

Avery nodded and looked at the field searching for Emma.

When Avery finally spotted Emma his face broke out into a huge smile.

The clock was counting down to the end of the game, 2 minutes left. The opposing team had possession of the ball at first. Then one of their players tripped over their own feet and the ball was accidentally passed to Emma's team.

All the parents supporting the Storybrooke team rang out in cheers.

The ball was passed from the little boy Sam, to another boy Xander, then to Emma. When Emma was passed the ball Henry and Avery both stood up suddenly and cheered, "GO EMMA!".

Regina smiled at the two boys and shook her head a little, boys and sports. I will never understand.

Emma was running down the field with the ball. The clock only had seconds left. Emma continued running and could hear her coach yell, "Go Emma! Make the goal!"

Emma ran faster and made it to the goal. Emma kicked hard and the ball went into the air. The opposing teams goalie went to block the ball but just missed. The ball sank perfectly into the goal.

The clock buzzed signaling the end of the game. Emma turned and looked at Regina with a 1,000 watt smile!

Avery was cheering and Henry was jumping in excitement.

Emma's teammates ran up to her and gave her high fives.

Both teams then shook hands and cleaned up their benches of any trash. Emma ran across the field and jumped into Regina's arms, "Did you see mommy! I scored!"

Regina smiled and gave Emma a extra tight hug, "I did see! You were amazing sweetheart!"

Regina then put Emma down. Henry came up behind Emma and picked her up holding her above his head cheering, "Emma the MVP!"

Emma was laughing and cheering along with Henry.

Henry then put Emma down where they started an impromptu game of tag.

Regina and Avery watched the two play and both smiled.

Avery turned to Regina and said, "They are great together. Like real brother and sister."

Regina turned to Avery and nodded in agreement, "Henry is great with Emma." Regina paused for a moment then turned back to Avery and said, "Thank you for coming today. I think it is going to mean a lot to Emma when she is a little older."

Avery smiled, "Thank you for letting me come. I really do want to be in her life."

Regina nodded and said, "I have a meeting to get to soon. Are you still joining us for dinner?"

Avery nodded and said, "Yup, 6:15."

Regina called Emma and Henry over, "Get your stuff we are going to go, I have a meeting I need to attend."

Emma and Henry both groaned. Henry then asked, "Do we have to go? Can't we go home? I can watch Emma."

"Yeah mommy Henry can watch me" Emma chimed in.

Regina shook her head, "No I don't know how long my meeting is going to last. I don't want you both home alone that long without an adult"

Emma then looked to Avery and said, "He's an adlut. Can't he stay with us?"

Regina chuckled at the thought, yeah he's an 'adult'

Before Regina could decline Avery jumped at the opportunity, "I can if you want. We were planning on going to Granny's anyway. I can just bring them with me."

Henry didn't really know who Avery was but really didn't want to go to Regina's office, "Yeah mom. We will be fine."

Regina sighed, "Fine. I will have my phone if anything comes up." Henry and Emma both smiled at each other and high fived.

Regina then turned to Avery and glared at him, "A word Mr. Gold"

Regina took a few steps away from Emma and Henry and spoke to Avery, "Listen very carefully, you are to watch them. Do not let them out of your sight. Do not take them anywhere outside of Storybrooke. But most importantly do NOT tell Emma you are her father. Do you understand me? I am trusting you Mr. Gold, don't make me regret this decision."

Avery nodded.

Regina sighed and said, "Alright I need to go. Emma Henry listen to Avery. I will meet you at Granny's for dinner."

Regina pulled Henry in for a hug and whispered in his ear, "Don't let Emma out of your sight."

Henry nodded and quietly said, "I swear."

Regina nodded and then went over to Emma and picked her up, "Ok baby, I'm going to a meeting. I want to you listen to Henry and Avery, ok."

Emma nodded and gave Regina a hug, "Ok Mommy. I sees you later!"

Regina kissed Emma on the head and said, "Yes , I'll see you for dinner."

Regina put Emma down then walked to her car. She started the engine and took a deep breath before waving bye and driving off to town hall. I really hope I didn't just make a huge mistake.

So there it is. Please leave a comment about what you might like to see happen. I'm open to basically anything since I haven't really planned out the next chapter much less written it.
