Welcome to the next exciting chapter of Dragon Ball ZMX. I'm glad the previous chapter was so well received. Thank you to all of you who have enjoyed it so far.

As we get further down the line, more and more what if's shall be added. A new one involving Bulma will also make its way in this chapter. Enjoy.

Last time on Dragon Ball ZMX, Goku, Chichi and Krillin had entered the twenty-first world martial arts tournament, and Goku had made it to the finals. Only to have victory snatched away by Jackie Chun, who was his master Roshi in disguise.

After the tournament ended, Roshi had told the kids that they earned some relaxation, and that it would be some time before they needed to train.

Chichi decided to go with Bulma and the others to West City, so she could hang out for some girl time, while Krillin decided he wanted to continue his training, much to Master Roshi's annoyance, as he hoped for some alone time with Launch.

Goku however, decided he wanted to travel the world, and even see if he could find the four star Dragon Ball. When asked why, he had said it was to be a keepsake to remind him of when his journey with Bulma began, making said girl blush as he said that, much to Chichi's chagrin.

And so, after saying goodbye to his friends and family yet again, Goku had set out on another adventure. Gine gave him a hug, and wished him luck, as did Gohan, who was proud of the martial artist his adoptive grandson had become.

As Goku was looking for the dragon ball, Chichi and Bulma had gotten to hang out a bit, and get to know each other. Meanwhile, after watching Goku fight in the tournament and Chichi showing just how much she had changed since her training, Bulma got curious. She saw just how much the others had fun in the tournament, and she was considering giving it a try.

"Say Chichi, mind if I ask you something?" Bulma asked.

Chichi turned in confusion. "What is it, Bulma?"

"You think you could train me a little?" Bulma said simply, and bluntly.

Chichi was taken aback by this, as that was the last thing she expected Bulma to ask her. "W-what?"

Bulma sighed a little in annoyance. "I'm asking you to train me like the old man did for you and Goku. I have to admit, I was really amazed by some of the stuff you guys could do in the tournament." she explained. "I want to do that too."

"Well… I don't know… I'm not exactly a master martial artist myself. Maybe ask Roshi?" Chichi said nervously.

Bulma then had a disgusted look. "Like I would ask that old creep to train me. Who knows what he would try and pass off as training." she growled.

Chichi could actually understand that, remembering some of the times Roshi flirted with Launch, only for her to sneeze and start pulling out a gun on him. "Then… I guess I could help. Maybe Krillin could also give a few pointers too, since he is probably training with Roshi as we speak and is learning some new lessons." Chichi said, making a lot of sense to Bulma.

"Alright. Ready when you are!" Bulma asked with a smile.

After that, they began to make their way to Kame house via plane. When they got there, they saw Krillin going through some of the training Roshi had him doing. From the looks of it, he seemed to be doing pushups… while two massive turtles, along with Roshi were on his back.

Bulma had a nervous look. "Um… was that normal for your training?" she asked Chichi.

She just shrugged. "I mean… kinda."

Roshi then noticed Bulma, and chuckled. "Hehe, well good to see ya, Bulma." he said, clearly looking too low to meet her eyes.

Bulma glared at him, before delivering a punch to the old man's head. "I'm not here for you, you old pig!" she shouted.

"Gah! Don't you know how to treat your elders?!" Roshi screamed as he placed a hand on his head.

Chichi just had a nervous look. "Um, master, we actually came to talk to Krillin…"

"Hm? Oh, is that all? Krillin, take a break." Roshi told his bald student while he went to go nurse his bruise.

Krilling was confused, only to have the two turtles collapse on him from losing focus. He groaned a little in pain from having the two heavy reptiles crushing him.

When he finally got out from under them, he went over to them. "So uh… did you two need something?"

"Well, Bulma wanted to try out training like us, and I suggested asking you since you probably learned some extra stuff from Master Roshi." Chichi said with a smile.

Bulma nodded. "Yeah, I saw how you two and Goku fought at the tournament. It actually got me curious."

Krillin was certainly surprised by that. He didn't expect to be asked for pointers on training. But he had a good idea why Bulma didn't think to ask Roshi. And since he and Bulma were basically in the same friend circle, he would like to get to know her and make a good impression. "Well, alright. I don't see why not." the young monk said with a smile.

After that, Krillin had given Chichi and Bulma a few tips on some of the lessons Roshi had given him since the tournament, along with whatever Chichi could share from before then. She even got some tips from Yamcha, as he wasn't a slouch when it came to fighting either. After that, Bulma had the gym at her home in Capsule Corp set up for her and Chichi to train together.

During the course of the training, Bulma had actually felt more fit then she had before, and had noticed she had gained a good bit of muscle. Some of the weights she wore helped with that, of course she had gotten weights for her arms and legs, rather than wear a giant shell. She felt like dying of embarrassment the second Krillin suggested that.

Of course, Bulma had thought of ways of putting her own spin on upping her training. She was still a tech wiz at heart. So she mentally made blueprints for a suit that would further amplify her own strength. But until that was done, it was just regular training for now.

After weeks of training, Chichi was getting pretty impressed with how far Bulma had come along. "You certainly have gotten better, Bulma." she said with a smile.

Yamcha smiled as he was wiping some sweat off his brow after helping them train. "Yeah, a lot faster than I expected." he chuckled. He had definitely benefited from the training as well, since he couldn't help but notice how much Krillin and Goku surpassed him thanks to Roshi.

"Oh, you really think so?" Bulma asked with a smirk. "Hehe, imagine Goku's surprise when he finds out." she said with a chuckle.

"Yeah…" Chichi said as she began to think. "So… do you… like Goku?"

Bulma was confused by the question as she raised a brow. "Well, yeah. He's my friend. Even if his table manners leave much to be desired." she shrugged.

Chichi however, shook her head. "No! I mean do you like Goku." she explained.

Now this really surprised Bulma. A blush spread across her face. "W-what?! H-how did you have that idea?!"

"I've seen the way you looked at him at the tournament. You like him, don't you?" Chichi said with a determined look.

Now it all clicked together with Yamcha. It certainly explained why she wasn't interested in finding a boyfriend anymore, or why she didn't consider giving him a shot. "Actually, that does make sense." the former bandit commented.

Bulma didn't know what to say. She always figured she found Goku interesting from a curiosity standpoint. But… did she have feelings for him? "I… don't know…"

"Well I want you to know right now, I refuse to lose to you when it comes to winning Goku's heart. I'll be the one to marry him." Chichi said in a determined tone.

Bulma suddenly felt a sense of… competition at Chichi's declaration. Making her start to think she really did have feelings for Goku. It was a weird feeling. Like she felt threatened, and planned not to lose either. Of course this did make things seem… awkward between the two girls, but not something to get in the way of their friendship. After all, they were two girls in a friend group full of guys. Plus, a bit of competition would be healthy.

In fact, it actually made Bulma even more motivated. She even started working on her new training suit that would enhance her fighting ability. A means of combining both martial arts and science to give her something that fit her style of doing things. Of course currently, she only managed to get the gloves and boots done. More or less. But they were very heavy, so she figured a bit more training would be necessary before she could wear them effectively.

Of course, Bulma still had school, nothing could stop that, regardless of how smart she was. But, of course she found it boring, as she knew more than most of the teachers there, so she decided to skip out. But she was in for a big surprise when she was coming home from school.

Just as she landed her hover bike in front of the building, a familiar monkey tailed boy came running to her. "Bulma!" He shouted happily.

Bulma's eyes went wide as she saw her friend. "Goku, is that you?!" She asked as she got off her hoverbike. She noticed that a police officer was with him. She was a little concerned, but knew Goku wouldn't intentionally do anything wrong. But it would explain how he found her house.

Goku nodded to his friend with a big smile. "Sure is! I'm happy to see you!"

This of course made Bulma blush, as she was still trying to come to terms with her new found feelings. "I'm happy to see you too." She said as she pulled him into a hug.

Goku gladly hugged back, but felt like something was… different. He looked at Bulma's arms and gave them a soft squeeze.

Bulma's eyes went wide as she blushed from this. "W-what the heck Goku?!"

"There's something different about you. You seem less… smooth." Goku simply said, not picking up on her embarrassment.

Bulma didn't know what he meant at first, before she finally connected the dots and chuckled. "Oh, you must have noticed I built up a bit of muscle since we last saw each other." He said as she stood up and gave her arm a little flex. "I've been doing a tiny bit of training myself."

Goku's eyes went wide in excitement. "Wow! Really? That's great! Maybe we could train together." He was more than happy to have someone else to train with.

Bulma chuckled. "Hehe, well I'd love to see how some of the training I've done compares to what you've been up to." She said with a grin.

Goku was extremely excited, before remembering why he came. "Oh, wait a minute Bulma. I just remembered, I needed your help. I think the dragon radar is broken."

Bulma was surprised, though with the kind of trouble Goku seems to attract, she felt it was only a matter of time. "Well, alright. I'll give it a look."

As they went inside, the police officer asked to come along to have his bike checked, as it has been kind of screwy recently. Bulma told him they could ask her father, as they went inside.

Goku and the officer were both surprised by the massive indoor garden they had. A long with how many animals were in it, due to Doctor Brief having a history of rescuing animals.

Speaking of which, Doctor Brief began to ride by on a bicycle. "Well hello, Bulma. I see you're home early." He chuckled.

"Hey, dad!" Bulma said with a smile as she waved to him.

Doctor Brief looked at both Goku and the officer. "Well, I wasn't expecting guests."

"This is Goku, dad. The one I told you about." Bulma explained.

"Oh?" The doctor asked as he looked to the officer. "He doesn't look as young as you said."

Goku raised a brow. "No, I'm Goku."

Doctor Brief then turned to Goku. "Oh! That makes much more sense!" He chuckled as he went up to the boy and shook his hand. "My daughter has told me so much about you. In fact she never stops. You really left quite the impression on her!" He said with a hearty chuckle.

"D-dad!" Bulma shouted with a blush. "L-look, I'm going to help Goku out in my room. Mind giving this guy's bike a look?" She asked, gesturing to the officer.

Brief chuckled more. "Alright sweety. Just don't start any smooching up there." He said teasingly.

Bulma's whole face turned red. "DAD! Do you have to be so embarrassing?!"

"I wouldn't be doing my job as your dad if I wasn't." He said with a smile, to which Bulma grabbed Goku and dragged him off to her room. "Ah, young love." He said with a grin.

When Goku and Bulma got back to her room so she could fix the radar, Goku saw that her room was full of machines she had been working on. Although, she has had less time to tinker on them since she started training and working on her suit.

The two of them had catched up a little, with Bulma telling Goku how Chichi, Yamcha and Krillin have been helping her train after the tournament.

Though Bulma was surprised to hear what Goku had been up to. Though she knew Goku would get up to some kind of trouble. But the Red Ribbon Army after the dragon balls? That was a recipe for disaster.

"Hey Goku, I think I might come with you to look for the dragon balls." Bulma suggested.

Goku's eyes went wide at this. "What? No way, Bulma, it seems way too dangerous for you."

Bulma huffed. "I'll have you know, I have been training hard. I'm not as defenseless as I was when we first traveled together."

"But you haven't trained too long. It hasn't even been that long since the tournament. Besides, you can't ride the flying nimbus." Goku explained.

Bulma then gave a smug look. "Well that's where technology comes in handy, Goku. Not only have I been working on a suit to give me my own spin on fighting, but I also found a way to ride the nimbus with you."

Goku tilted his head. "You mean you made a machine to make you pure of heart?"

This annoyed Bulma. "I am the definition of pure!" She huffed, before smirking and showing a special wrist watch. "Watch this." She said as she pressed a button, causing her to shrink down to the size of a doll.

Goku just looked on in astonishment. "Wow! That's amazing, Bulma!"

"Yep! Now I can ride on the flying nimbus with you. You just have to carry me, and we are all set." Bulma proclaimed with a proud expression on her face. Only for her bedroom door to open.

It was none other than her mother, Mrs Brief. "Bulma, you in here sweetie?" She said as she ended up stepping on Bulma, making Goku yelp in shock. Mrs Brief just looked at Goku in confusion, only for realization to strike her as she saw the tail. "Oh my, you must be Goku! My Bulma has told me so much about you!"

"U-um… hello…" Goku stuttered out, more focused on the fact Bulma's mom just stepped on her.

"Well isn't this lovely! I came to let Bulma know her friend Chichi is here for their little girl time! I'm sure she can't wait to see you!" The mother said cheerily, only for Bulma to return to her original size under her foot. "Oh my! Bulma, what were you doing under my foot?"

Bulma growled at her mother. "You're the one who stepped on me!"

"Well it's not my fault…" her mother pouted. "I don't understand why you would want to shrink yourself anyway."

"Ugh… whatever, can you just tell Chichi I'll be down in a minute." Bulma asked with a sigh.

However, before her mother could reply, they heard a sound outside. One that was hurting Goku's ears. "W-what is that sound?!"

"Oh my, that must be Yamcha's admirers." Mrs Brief said with a bubbly giggle. "He certainly is popular with the girls. Makes me wonder why you haven't asked him out, sweetie." She said as she turned to Bulma.

Bulma rolled her eyes. "Because Mom, I'm not interested in him."

Mrs Brief pouted again. "Oh phooey. I remember you were desperate to find a boyfriend. Why the change of heart?"

Bulma had a massive blush on her face now. "N-none of your business mom!" She shouted as she stomped off, dragging Goku for a second time.

Mrs Brief just sighed. "Guess she is at that age…"

As Bulma dragged Goku down to the entrance, they saw Chichi there waiting for them. She had a smile as she saw Bulma. "Hey, Bulma! Ready to start-" however, she stopped in her tracks when she saw who was with Bulma. "G-Goku?!" a blush spread across her face seeing him.

Goku smiled as he saw her. "Hey, Chichi! It's great to see you."

This made Chichi smile even more hearing him say that. "It's so good to see you too, Goku."

Bulma grumbled a bit seeing the way Chichi was looking at Goku. She was really starting to think she was developing a crush on him. She decided to butt into the conversation. "Anyway, Chichi, my mom said you were here for training right?"

"Huh? Oh right!" Chichi said in embarrassment. "Um, I was hoping we could do some extra training. Would you like to join Goku?"

Goku got excited now. "Sure!"

Bulma smirked. "Well, it would be nice, and to help me get even stronger if I'm gonna help Goku out."

Now Chichi was confused. "Huh? What do you mean by that?"

The grin on Bulma's face grew even bigger. "Well, I'm gonna be helping him with finding the dragon balls, since the Red Ribbon has been causing some trouble."

Chichi's eyes went wide hearing this. "What?! Then I'm helping too!" she declared. Both because she wanted to help Goku, and also because she wasn't going to let Bulma get one over on her.

"Well… alright. If Bulma's coming, I don't see why you can't. And you are able to ride the flying nimbus." Goku said with a smile.

Chichi had a big smile, while Bulma shrugged as she figured Chichi would be a lot of help.

The training the three got up to was in full swing, with Chichi and Bulma surprised just how much Goku had grown during his journey in such a relatively short time. Whenever Yamcha came to help, he was just as surprised.

He couldn't help but feel embarrassed at how much Goku had grown ahead of them. It was less stinging for Chichi and Bulma since they both hadn't been training nearly as long as the two boys. While Bilma was training, every so often she would work on her suit. Trying to make sure it could help compensate for the wide gap in skills.

"Man Goku, it feels like I might be falling behind…" Yamcha said while panting, after they just finished another round of training. Bulma and Chichi were equally as tired, and were grabbing some water and using some towels to wipe off some sweat.

Goku just tilted his head. "What do you mean, Yamcha?" He asked in confusion, not really understanding.

"It's just that back during our old journey, I would like to think I could be considered your rival. But now, I can't even keep up." Yamcha sighed.

Goku thought about it for a bit. "Well… I trained a lot with master Roshi. And I have been fighting non-stop since the tournament."

"That's true…" Yamcha nodded. He was actually considering training with Master Roshi as well. Though his biggest problem was if the turtle hermit would accept him as a student.

He definitely has gotten stronger since training with Goku, but he is still nowhere near Goku's level. But then, he still wasn't completely sure Goku was even human, given how fast he can grow in strength, his ability to learn techniques after only seeing them once, and to top it all off, the fact he and his mom could turn into giant ape monsters. So he wasn't too upset.

As he thought about it, he then had an idea. "Hey, Goku, what if we tried learning a bit about ki? I mean you know the kamehameha wave. So you have a pretty good idea about it." Yamcha suggested.

"Oh! That's a great idea! I already helped Chichi learn a little bit before the tournament. So I can help a little more in that area." Goku said with an excited grin on his face.

What are you two talking about?" Bulma asked as she and Chichi rejoined them.

"Yamcha was suggesting I teach about ki!" Goku answered with his usual goofy grin.

"Chichi's eyes lit with excitement. "Hey, that's a great idea! I was actually hoping to learn more!"

"Ki, huh? Well… I guess it wouldn't hurt to learn a little bit about it." Bulma replied, not completely sure how she felt about it. To her, it seemed like magic from where she stood. So as a woman of science, it just didn't make sense to her.

But as time went on, with Goku and Yamcha going over how it works, with Chichi explaining the little bit she knows of, Bulma slowly started to get into it. At least with learning how to make it enhance one's physical abilities, like how Yamcha was able to punch through stone with his wolf fang fist. Bulma began to wonder if she could tweak the design of her suit to find a way to harness ki, that way she could add her own spin to things.

Over the course of the training, Bulma began to notice a massive difference from when she started out. Sure she wasn't yet on par with someone like Goku, Chichi or Yamcha, but it was a start. And she managed to finish the gloves and boots to her suit. And thanks to the training, she was now strong enough to use them, along with their rocket functions.

"Alright, I think we might be ready to look for the dragon balls…" Bulma said as she slipped on the gloves and boots.

"You think so?" Goku asked her as he and Chichi were ready.

"Yep! The radar is fixed, we got in some training, and I got my gear and capsules ready for whatever we come across." Bulma replied with a confident smirk.

Yamcha smiled at them, as he was getting ready to leave as well. "Well, I hope you three have a good journey." he said with a chuckle.

"Hm? Where are you going, Yamcha?" Bulma asked in confusion.

"Oh, me? I was hoping I could try and convince Master Roshi to train me. Seeing how strong Goku and Chichi got from it, it made me think how I don't want to fall behind."

Bulma thought about it, and felt that made sense. At least he didn't have to worry about that pervert, unlike her if she trained with him. "Well, good luck, I guess…" she replied as she gave him a hug.

"Hehe, thanks, Bulma. You too. And not just with the hunt for the dragon balls." Yamcha said in a teasing tone, as he looked at Goku.

This made Bulma blush and break the hug. "R-right…" she replied as she then used the watch to shrink down so Goku could carry her, as he and Chichi got on the Nimbus.

Once they set off, Yamcha just watched as they disappeared into the distance, before setting off on his own as well. He hoped that when they next meet, he would be an official student of Kame House, and be much stronger than before.

Now that Bulma was training as well, will she be able to help Goku and Chichi more than ever before? And how will she come to terms with her new feelings for the young monkey boy? And what parrels will they face on this journey? Find out next time on Dragon Ball ZMX!

Well thats another chapter. I know its short and not a lot got done. But honestly I'm trying to decide if I should skip the General Blue arc, as it feels to me it might not be all that imperative to the story. Idk, what do you all think? Should I skip General Blue and go right to Mercenary Tao, and simple go over what happened with Blue?

Also, most of you have requested I stick to Goku x Bulma, which I am all for. But one or two of you actually suggested both Chichi and Bulma be with him, which got me thinking, should I go with that? I would like to know what you all think, as a few of you seemed interested in how I had Bardock be with the queen, and likely to get back together with Gine.

As always, let me know what you think, and I hope you all enjoy. Thanks for reading, and hope to see you next chapter.
