CHAPTER 2:

Eyes blinked up at Vegeta. He tapped his hand against her cheek and said, "Get up girl." She groaned before he mushed a finger into her head. Her eyes went wider and suddenly she was awake. She rolled his hand away from her, feeling the newly formed goose egg on her forehead. She almost hissed at him as she went after him until he knocked her down once more. She stumbled as she realized she was tied together by braces.

"Where did you come from?" he asked. She merely glared at him. He yanked her towards him when she remained tightlipped. He rolled his eyes and dropped her. He had half a mind to leave her here and take the sick one. He groused around and could feel her watching him as he went to the other side. He had dropped her onto the bench and finally lifted her and took her towards his quarters.

The girl struggled. He heard a drop and arched a brow as he saw she had taken to her knees to keep her eyes on him. "I'm not going to hurt her," he bit at her. She said nothing as he took a seat along the bedside. "She's unwell," he commented, "That handler knew she was." He rose from his seat and she saw him disappear for a moment until he walked back with a small book. He smiled at her and said, "Let's see where I can abandon you two." Her eyes widened. "After all, if I don't know where you're from, I don't know if she's contagious with anything."

The girl shook her head and finally her lips parted. "We were living on Namek," she said quickly. His eyes narrowed. "Namek is gone," he said firmly. She nodded. "Of course, it is, just like any other peaceful planet," she snapped back at him. "Afterwards, The Solar Sphere, A Moon pod, and finally there at the Outpost." She struggled in her bindings. He had barred her arms behind her using buckles. She did her best to squeeze out of the braces. She asked, "What the hell did you tie me with?" He arched a brow and looked over the woman before him. He replied, "Ki restraints." Her eyes widened. "What…?"

"I felt your energy spike, I wasn't going to take the chance of you attacking me again," he growled at her. He chuckled and looked over at her, away from the other. He walked over to her and she struggled as he caught the front of the restraints and lifted her easily. He dropped her next to the small bed and said, "Brolick drained her didn't he?" She swallowed before saying, "He bled her out. To stop me from killing anyone else." He nodded. "There's not much I can do on this pod. But, you'll do." Her eyes went wide when he plopped her onto the bed next to the woman. Until he pulled out a small box from underneath the bed and began working at her arms. "She'll need a couple of pints of blood," he murmured. The shock was written across her face. "Why," she whispered, "why are you doing this?"

"To heal her," he replied dryly. "But, you're going to abandon us? Why-"

"You should recognize a bluff when you hear one," he groused. She went red in the face. "I wouldn't know, many people don't bluff from where we've been."

"Sit down. It won't take long," he said. She asked, "Will you release me?" He took in a sharp breath and let it out through his nostrils. "I have nowhere else to go," she reasoned as she looked around. His hand was quick to catch her throat. She gasped when he squeezed. "I could end you," he said quietly. "One snap of your neck and you'd be dead at my feet. Got it?" She could barely nod. He eyed her and then let her fall back onto the bed. "Flip over," he ordered. She coughed and gagged and he tossed her onto her stomach when she didn't move quickly enough. She stiffened as he touched her, unclipping, and unbuckling until he pulled her back over and free. He pointed his finger at her. "I swear," he said, "one mistake from you, and I will kill you." She nodded once more and he finally turned away. She watched him go and waited until he closed the quarter's door before she looked back at the bed. She watched the blood seep from her arm, through a small tube, and into the woman. She lay next to her and pulled the blankets around them trying to make her comfortable. She grazed her hand across her forehead before merely watching her.
