ACT II – SCENE 15
[Some time later, we see The Girl and Jack in a forest somewhere.]
[Suddenly, THIT! The sound instantly prompts The Girl and Jack to jump away as an arrow flies in-between them.]
[TH-TH-TH-TH-THIT! TH-TH-THIT! TH-TH-TH-THIT! We see a series of arrows blaze through the air.]
[A small force of 5 archers hunt in the woods.]
[The archers twitch their heads at the sound of rushing wind.]
[SHLET! SHLET! Jack and The Girl appear out of nowhere stab the first two archers with their swords. They pull back, let the bodies drop, and leap towards the others.]
[A few moments later, we see The Girl and Jack meditate in the river, water up to their necks.]
[While in the river, The Girl is smiling in peace. Jack sees this, and smiles in content.]
[A while later, Jack and The Girl run through the fields, chasing crickets.]
[We see Jack and The Girl jump up above the field grass in joy, and back below the field grass a few times, identically to how they chased crickets in their youth.]
[We see Jack and The Girl relaxing on their backs together on the floor of the fields. They caress and hold each other gingerly.]
[A while later, The Girl and Jack are playing ball with a few boys and girls from the village.]
[A boy swats the ball.]
[A girl uses her head to bounce the ball up and away.]
[Jack gingerly bats the ball around.]
[Another boy kicks the ball up.]
[The Girl swats the ball up.]
[A while later, Jack and The Girl are sitting in a circle populated by a few boys and girls.]
[Jack is showing how to weave a straw-hat using straws of brown grass from the fields.]
[The Girl observes a boy trying to weave. She offers to help, and the boy allows it.]
[Jack sees The Girl helping and smiles.]
[Jack sees a little girl struggling to weave her hat. Jack offers to help, and bashfully, the little girl obliges.]
[The little girl giggles softly, prompting The Girl to look over and see Jack helping the girl with her hat. The Girl smiles and goes back to helping the little boy.]
[A while later, we see Jack, The Girl, and The Empress all having dinner together with the nurses in the Royal Dining Chambers.]
[While eating eel and trout, we see The Girl smiling as she looks over at Jack.]
[Jack, chewing on seaweed, looks at The Girl, and smiles at her.]
[The Empress sees what's happening, smiles, and sips her tea.]
[A year or so later on a spring day, we see the cherry blossom petals filling the area air.]
[The camera pans up to see Jack in his black groom's gee, smiling.]
[We see a white bride's headdress go onto The Girl's head.]
[The camera pans up to see The Girl in the Samurai brides gown, smiling as she dons red lipstick.]
[In the ceremony grounds, the whole area is flooded with many guests. We see the wedding procession, consisting of 4 guards, The Girl, The Empress and a few young women serving as maids. As we see the wedding procession proceed to the area where the Priest and Jack are, the sun shines beautifully on all.]
[We see The Girl walking in the procession, looking up towards Jack.]
[The camera zooms in on Jack, smiling.]
[The Girl walks up the steps to the preacher and faces Jack.]
[The Girl smiles.]
[Jack smiles.]
[The Priest inquires.]
Priest: (softly) Vows?
[Jack speaks his vows to Ashi in full, unrestricted love.]
Jack: I take you as mine, and vow to love you, respect you, be faithful to you, and protect you all of my life.
[The Girl tears up as she speaks her heart-felt vows.]
The Girl: I take you as mine, and vow to love, honor, respect, cherish, and fight for you all the days of my life.
[The Empress tears up at the beautiful sight.]
[The Priest likes what he sees.]
Priest: By the blessing of the Almighty, what was once two, now is one.
[The Girl and Jack engage in a kiss.]
[The crowd smiles in silence.]
[Later that night, we see the entire Kingdom celebrating the event with bonfires, banquets of food and drinks, and dancing to percussive music.]
[We see The Girl, in her bridal gown but no headdress, dancing with fellow Army female volunteers.]
[We see Jack, dancing and laughing with the male Army volunteers.]
[We see The Empress smiling, laughing and chatting indistinctly with the elders of the Kingdom.]
[We see Jack and The Girl engage in dancing together near a bonfire.]
[We see a close-up of Jack's face, filled with joy and content.]
[We see a close-up of The Girl's face, filled with love and joy.]
[Jack and The Girl kiss amorously with the bonfire in the background. The background fades to the Royal Bedroom Chambers with Jack and The Girl still kissing.]
[From an angle on the ground, we see Jack's feet removing themselves from his sandals, and The Girl's feet removing themselves from her sandals. Then, Jack's grooms' robes drop to the floor, and The Girl's bridal robes fall to the floor. Then, all the feet seem to trip off away from the camera's eye, followed by a POOMP! Sound with Jack and The Girl's laughter.]
[About a month later at the edge of the village, Jack is seen with the Men of the Army, all in their loincloths, doing push-ups. Jack is sweating a bit, but seems fine as he continues to push. Most of the volunteers appear to be doing well too, except for a couple of the heavier men.]
[A moment later, near the Palace, The Girl and the Women of the Army also doing push-ups, in their loincloths and makeshift brassieres. The Girl, seen with a slight strain in her face as she pushes, is still giving it her all. But then, a sharp pain brings The Girl down to the ground and on her side. A couple of nurses immediately attend to her.]
[Jack, still in his loincloth, is seen leaving the river after a soak. Drying himself off, a Nurse whispers into his ear. This prompts him to dash away.]
[In the Infirmary, Jack enters, his gee almost on, and is stunned to see The Girl lying carefully on the bed, still with a hint of sweat. Jack goes to his Bride.]
Jack: What happened?
[The Girl wiggles her finger, prompting Jack to place his ear next to her mouth, where she whispers. After the whispering is over, Jack slowly rises in stunned silence.]
Jack: Are you sure?
[The Girl, smiling amorously, nods.]
[Jack smiles in total amazement. He runs outside, and lets out a celebratory yell as he jumps way into the atmosphere higher than he ever has.]
Jack: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaayy…
[A Nurse sees this and is totally amazed.]
Nurse: He can fly?
The Girl: No…..jump good.
